A Woonsocket mother and her boyfriend were sentenced to three years probation on Monday for having intercourse in front of the woman's 9-year-old daughter to teach the girl about sex. Riiiight. Chief Family Court Judge Jeremiah S. Jeremiah Jr. sentenced Rebecca Arnold of Woonsocket, and her boyfriend, David Prata, to probation and a three-year suspended sentence after they pleaded no contest to a felony child neglect charge. ?!?!?! Must be losers. They'd throw the book at people who cared.
The judge said he wanted to spare the young girl, now 11, from testifying, according to Michael Healey, a spokesman for Attorney General Patrick Lynch. Riiiiight. Wouldn't want to screw up that childhood innocence thing she has going there not!
During an investigation by the state child welfare authorities, Prata, 33, said he and Arnold, 36, had sex "all the time" in front of the child and that "we don't believe in hiding anything." Either that or you're losers. He told an investigator that they did not force the girl to watch. WTF was she supposed to do? At nine years old you don't even know what not to watch! The judge would have to be a loser to take that into consideration.
The allegations surfaced in December 2004 after the girl went to live with her father in North Adams, Massachusetts, after spending the summer with her loser mother in Woonsocket. Only took them a little over two years to run that through the system. Must have been complicated with all the mitigating lame/loser excuses.
A teacher called a child abuse hotline to report that the girl said her mother and her boyfriend had sex in front of her. Woonsocket police arrested the couple February 2005. Well, looks like at least the teacher did the right thing. As for the court system, with as "stellar" a job as was done, you just gotta wonder if the loser mother ended up with any custodial rights.

The 120,000-carat haul included both cut and uncut diamonds. More than half the world's diamonds are traded by Antwerp's dealers in business worth £12 billion a year. "In the diamond sector, we trust the people we are working with. Sometimes we pay the price for that," said Mr Claes.

While most shameful for the USA who created this monster, that Baywatch was once the WORLD'S most watched television show (well exceeding Jeopardy), stands as damning proof of the average television viewer's idiocy.

What ever happened to being parents, not buddies with your child, nor exploiters - just parents who love their children enough to teach them right form wrong, help them earn true self respect, guide them and discipline them?
I see way too manypartent who treat the child as an accessory to be dumnped into school and daycare and parked in front of the XBox at home, or those who try to be thier child's buddy by giving into every whim and stupid idea the child has.

A cult leader in Papua New Guinea known as "Black Jesus" is facing at least 30 charges of murder and rape. Police have alleged that Steven Tari killed and ate three young women he recruited as sex slaves. The former bible student was arrested after almost two years on the run but has been too ill to appear in court.

He said he was the "true Christ" and promised his followers great wealth and redemption. Among his disciples were allegedly dozens of sex slaves. The cult leader was said have called them his "flower girls".
Police in Papua New Guinea have claimed that three young women were raped, murdered and then eaten by Steven Tari in his jungle hide-out. After being on the run, he was captured by a group of villagers and was apparently beaten so badly before being handed over to the police that he has been too unwell to appear in court.

Papua New Guinea has a strong Christian tradition but witchcraft and superstition remain powerful forces in some parts of the country. No, really?

Despite the huge discounts for the new A350 planes Airbus is offering to almost all airlines that have ordered the A380, the new delivery dates for the aircraft will no longer fit into MAS's fleet plan, said the New Straits Times.
Even the Euro bribes aren't working.
MAS is expected to get its first A380 jet by late 2009, but recent developments in Airbus, whose European workers went on strike over job cuts last Friday, could push the delivery dates further than scheduled.
Sources told the English daily that cancellation of the orders for the aircraft is one of the options, adding "everything is fluid at the moment." "These planes are really expensive. So there is no point wasting taxpayers' money if it no longer fits into MAS' overall plans," the source said. MAS had planned to deploy the planes on its long-haul European routes, including London, Paris and Amsterdam, said the report.
Penerbangan Malaysia Bhd (PMB), the parent company of MAS, is the buyer of the A380s which it would have leased to MAS. It had ordered six of the planes in 2003. Under the sale and purchase agreement signed between PMB and Airbus, the first three planes were originally scheduled to be delivered later this year, and the remaining three a year later.
