[Hot Air] As Jazz pointed out yesterday, Sec. of State Blinken told Axios he was determined to uncover the truth about the origin of the coronavirus. He also echoed what appears to be an administration talking point about how uncovering the truth was in China’s best interest. But Aaron Blake has a piece at the Post which points out how hollow those assurances really are. In fact, no one in the Biden administration seems to have an answer for the next, obvious question: What do you do if China decides its interests are in covering up the truth? That’s the question that was put to Dr. Fauci last week.
Top government infectious-disease expert Anthony S. Fauci was pressed on this Thursday on MSNBC. When he said that "it’s obviously in China’s interests to find out exactly" how the virus came about, Willie Geist logically followed up with a counterpoint: Isn’t it also in their interest to conceal that information "if there was a lab leak — or worse?"
Fauci demurred.
"I don’t want to be speculating on that, because every time I say something like that, you know it as well as I, it will get completely taken out of context, and go into the Twitter world like crazy," Fauci said. "So, I mean, I’m going to leave that to other people and not surmise and guess who’s interest it is. It’s not helpful."
With that non-answer in mind, let’s circle back (as Jen Psaki might say) to Sec. Blinken’s answer about the importance of getting transparency from China. You really need to watch this clip to appreciate it. It’s only 2 minutes long. The first minute is spent with Blinken saying repeatedly how critical it is that we get this information from China. We "have to have" this information Blinken said. And then, like Fauci, he’s asked the obvious question: "So what’s the real pressure the US will put on China for access to the lab?" Sec. Blinken gives a great impersonation of a deer in headlights.

Fauci gave money to a US organization, who gave it to the Wuhan lab for gain of function research. Because that research is illegal in America - but not in China! Obviously he doesn't want the truth out, nor does anyone in the US government.
Usually this would be a job for a crusading journalist, but since they've all betrayed us by going over to the government's side, all we've got is alternative media. And Big Tech can silence them at any time.

The more it is reported in the mainstream media that there’s talk among respectable authorities about this deserving investigation, the more it becomes thinkable to those who firmly believed claims that it is anti-SCIENCE!! to be concerned about the possibility. The tipping point is close, if not already reached.

My point about all of this really isn’t whether COVID came out of a lab or not. The reality is nobody, at least nobody here in the west, actually has enough information to say one way or the other. But the mainstream media has been saying one way, and not the other, without evidence, as if it were fact. They were doing so long before it was remotely possible to do so. That’s narrative, and that’s power of media. When you combine that with Big Tech lubricating the rails for pre-determined narratives and attenuating everything else, you have a near overwhelming combination for shaping beliefs on a mass scale. “Few understand this.”

Everybody, who matters, already knows the truth - and it'll never become public (at least in relevant future) because nobody wants war with China.
I think it's important to be realistic about the fact that China is at war with us whether we want war or not.

I'm not saying we should nuke the bastards although that is tempting. But we should recognize the fact that an attack has taken place and understand that we are dealing with the type of people who would do such a thing, who, in fact, have already done it.

[FoxNews] Cop bashing has become a sport in Seattle -- literally and figuratively. Police face physical assaults from Antifa thugs and other radicals. And the City Council continues its defunding efforts, even as the city reached a 26-year high homicide rate.
It’s precisely why a historic number of police officers have left the Seattle Police Department, with scores more on their way out.
Since 2020, I have exclusively reported that at least 270 officers have separated from the force. That’s almost one-third of the department. Some resigned, others retired, and many have made lateral moves to agencies more supportive of police. There are at least 100 more officers "unavailable," according to an internal HR document. Many are burning their accrued sick and vacation time before leaving the department for good.
Consequently, Seattle is in the middle of a staffing crisis that’s leaving citizens vulnerable. The department has the lowest deployable staff since the 1980s with, at times, precincts at or below staffing minimums. It’s been a long-time coming: the crisis pre-dated the Left’s war on cops that defined 2020. Seattle got a head start, constantly pushing back against police.
So why are cops finally ditching the department in such huge numbers? Here are the top five reasons.

Devil's Advocate - the cops don't help themselves by covering for rogues in their ranks. Don't clean your own ranks, you allow someone else to do it and its not usually someone who has your good name in mind.
Whatever might pass in the House on this subject, Senator Mitch McConnell is standing foursquare against letting it pass in the Senate — and he’s been successful thus far.
[Rabobank via ZH] Yesterday’s Daily concluded with the question: "Is this a piece of your brain?" Sadly, I feel the need to start today’s with the same question. What else can one ask when our financial press are filling pages telling us Jeff Bezos is going into space? "Multi-billionaire does something expensive and irrelevant" might as well be the headline; or, I would settle for a Muppets-like "Bezos in Spaaaaaace", which at least has the appropriate lack of gravity.
Meanwhile, we need to be talking more about uncomfortable "I" words:
[FoxNews] Biden is restraining U.S. Border Patrol and immigration officers from doing their jobs.
The world wants to come to America and many in America – at least in the Biden administration and the Chamber of Commerce – want the world to come.
Nowhere is this more apparent than on the Texas-Mexico border, where the surge of would-be immigrants has completely overwhelmed the Border Patrol and local law enforcement. If current trends continue, more than 3 million people may stream into the U.S. by year-end, threatening Americans with lost jobs and crime.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott plans to visit the border city of Del Rio on Thursday to discuss the border crisis and to announce new measures to safeguard Texans after issuing a disaster declaration on June 1. With the Biden administration abdicating its responsibility to protect the border, it may be up to Texas to step up and protect its own people and property.
TUCKER CARLSON: KAMALA HARRIS' PLAN FOR THE BORDER CRISIS IS BRIBERY
I just finished a three-day fact-finding trip as part of a team sponsored by the Border Security Coalition. We heard from elected officials, law enforcement, active and retired Border Patrol officers, and local citizens in Val Verde County, population 50,000, situated 160 miles west of San Antonio at about the midpoint on the Texas-Mexico border between El Paso and the Gulf of Mexico.
Officials and locals say that Val Verde used to be a quiet part of the U.S.-Mexico border. Now Border Patrol intelligence analysts estimate that the Mexican crime cartels are banking $25 million per week from human trafficking alone in the Val Verde region. About a year ago, the cartels generated about $11 million per week. Given the collapse of border enforcement, prices to guide people illegally crossing the border have likely gone down due to the reduced risk to the cartels’ coyotes.

Local experts on the border situation say that the surge in crossings happened immediately upon President Biden’s taking office. Would-be immigrants told Border Patrol agents that Biden said he would be nice and let them in – they are merely taking the president at his word.
Many of the people crossing into the Texas town of Del Rio appear to have access to money. They claim to be doctors, engineers and other professionals from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba and nations in Africa and the Middle East. But Venezuela, one of the world’s most corrupt countries, will issue a passport to anyone in only two days – for cash.
A volunteer at a Del Rio interfaith nonprofit that works closely with U.S. immigration authorities said that in a typical week last year, they processed about 20 immigrants per week, showing them how to purchase bus or plane tickets to move them away from the border and into the interior. In the week ending June 5, they expected to exceed 2,000 people, a hundred-fold increase.
In past years, Border Patrol agents would try to photograph, fingerprint and occasionally take a DNA sample to verify people claiming to be family units. Border Patrol would then issue a "Notice to Appear" to the migrant, ordering them to appear before an immigration judge at a certain date. In 2017, 43% of aliens with a court date failed to appear.
But because the Biden administration had no plan to replace the Trump administration’s policies, the tide of aliens has overwhelmed the entire immigration system. Now aliens who present themselves at places other than official border crossings are issued a "Notice to Report" by immigration officials and quickly moved away from the border, frequently with a lower level of ID checks.
A "Notice to Report" asks illegal aliens to report to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office when they get to their destination in the interior. These notices to report have never been used before and, according to former immigration officials, may themselves be illegal, having no basis in U.S. law.
[RedState] I cannot fully express what an embarrassment Kamala Harris is: to women, to Black achievement, and to anyone who has worked hard in life to garner a reputation for excellence, integrity, and consistency. Harris is like a bad odor that everyone tries to pretend doesn’t exist, while everyone smiles through gritted teeth and fans the air.
As my colleague Nick Arama so aptly stated:
One of the reasons that Kamala Harris is such a horrible politician is that she can never give a straight answer.
She’s worse than even Joe Biden on this. Biden gets mad and incoherent but at least sometimes tries to answer a question.
But they both think that you have no right to even ask the questions. Harris doesn’t think you should be asking why she isn’t doing her job.
Harris also has that Hillary Clinton cackle thing going on whenever she’s asked something she doesn’t want to answer.
Even her cackle had to be borrowed from someone else. The mark of a poll-tested, manufactured entity is the absence of authenticity, and Harris is devoid of it.
However, the stench of her vacuity was overwhelming in an NBC interview with Lester Holt. Surprisingly, Holt did not allow Harris to dodge and cackle, but gently pressed his point.

If one of the points of the Biden Administration is to make the US look like a bunch of incompetent fools, you could not do better than this broad as VP.

One point of the Biden admin is to make Trump look extra good by comparison. Everyone is noticing because they stepped on the rake so many times during the first 100 days it would have been comical if it wasn't screwing up so many lives.
[Washington Examiner] As President Joe Biden pursues initiatives he announced last week to "help narrow the racial wealth gap," he should heed a late-May reminder from the 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that preferential treatment based on race is presumptively invalid.
This is as it should be. It is right and just that the courts, in the name of justice, should strike down racial preferences, a pernicious, do-gooding racism sweeping schools, corporations, and the media. It treats all American experience through the lens of race. It would be even worse if the racialism embedded in so-called "critical race theory" were backed by government force.
Biden is right to want all segments of society to prosper. If crafted without racial criteria, his initiatives to help jump-start poor and disadvantaged businesses and improve home values in struggling neighborhoods would be welcome. But the White House announcement focuses constantly on "racial disparities," and the clear implication is that its proposed solutions will involve racial preferences.
That’s where the 6th Circuit ruling comes in. In the 2-1 May 27 decision in Vitolo v. Guzman, the court held that the government may not award coronavirus relief money on the basis of race and sex.
The Small Business Administration had been doling out $29 billion in COVID response grants to restaurant owners under rules that allowed the money to go only to restaurants owned at least 51% by women or nonwhite proprietors. Writing for the court, Judge Amul Thapar explained that Supreme Court precedent (not to mention simple fairness) allows such preferences only to serve a "compelling" state interest, a term of art with three strict criteria. A mere vague desire to remedy past discrimination is insufficient to permit the government itself to favor or disfavor otherwise eligible citizens just because they are white.

BY LAW THE USA ALREADY HAS EQUAL TREATMENT & JUSTICE.
But Equality hampers the Socialists Democrats, who are seeking to plug the growing leaking holes in the minority voter block.
A voter block that as it chooses to leave the Poverty Plantation, is more and more turning away from the Socialist Democrats redesigned Plantation - Master concept.
Where the Big $$ is not in cotton, but votes (real or created).
Votes needed to control distribution of $$Trillions of Taxpayer funds. Which then allows for kick-backs Donations opportunities and skimming Handling Fee's of $$$ to back to them and/or their families pockets.
[CitizenFreePress] Former President Barack Obama says Republicans have been "cowed into accepting" a series of positions that "would be unrecognizable and unacceptable even five years ago or a decade ago," telling CNN's Anderson Cooper he is worried about the state of democracy in the US. Posturing for the ever fewer rubes who care what he has to say about anything.
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
