It's ok to enjoy a cold Dos Equis and not agree with Jonathan Goldsmith.
[PJ] BALTIMORE ‐ Actor Jonathan Goldsmith, best known as "The Most Interesting Man in the World" in Dos Equis ads, criticized President Trump’s job performance and said he misses former President Barack Obama.
Goldsmith visited Washington, D.C., and the Baltimore area as part of his 100-city promotional tour for Astral Tequila, a new organic tequila.
"It’s 92 proof ‐ ’double gold’ winner, all organic; can’t beat it," Goldsmith said during a recent interview at Midway Liquors just outside of Baltimore in Joppa, Md.
Former House Speaker Tip O’Neill, a Democrat, and former President Ronald Reagan, a Republican, used to have drinks together at the White House on workdays after 6 p.m. Goldsmith said he doubts Democrats and Republicans will get along in the next session of Congress.
"Not if we have this president in office, they’ll never get along. He won’t allow that. I don’t think so. All he wants to do is divide and get everybody to hate each other," Goldsmith said. "I’m a fan of inclusiveness, goodness, truth."

The ad campaign was entertaining, but he is just another actor sharing his opinion. *yawn* It doesn't seem like the economy is missing Obama at all.

A wormtongue, a barrel of blarney:
Sez Gotham's most interesting carnie,
"Another tequila!
Cheers, Reagan, O'Neill,
And the world's most self-interested Barney!"
No dog whistle intended. Strictly tin whistle. Entirely different thing. Well, mostly.
[Townhall] A debate over a bill aimed at helping the families impacted by the dozen or so deaths from a Legionnaires’ outbreak at Downstate Quincy veterans home led to some pretty nasty remarks by Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit toward her Republican colleague, state Rep. Peter Breen, hoping that his family would suffer and die. Kifowit said that she wanted to make him a "broth of Legionella and pump it into the water system of his loved one so that they can be infected."
Breen merely wondered the cost of this bill. Gov. Bruce Rauner, who was defeated for re-election this year, capped the amount in damages that could be collected as a result of this outbreak (via Chicago Tribune) [emphasis mine]:
She also said her words were being "twisted and misrepresented." I don’t know; the video is quite clear. The Illinois GOP has called on her to resign. She won’t. She’s a Democrat in a deep blue state. She’s safe‐and she can say whatever she wants because of that. It’s disgusting. If a Republican had said this, it would be pandemonium. Remember, folks. Democrats hate us. Perhaps it’s time we start hating them more.
[NR] Making the click-through worthwhile: A newly elected Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota declares that President Trump is ultimately responsible for a higher number of hate crimes in the past year; the last U.S. Senate race of 2018 ends with a Republican win and a potentially tougher road ahead for Democrats; a new report suggests that low-income workers are having a more difficult time finding housing.
Minnesota Congresswoman: Trump Emboldens Racists to Acts of Violence
Ilhan Omar, the newly elected Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota, has wasted no time finding President Trump responsible for hate crimes, writing in the Minnesota Star Tribune:
Hate crimes in this country are continuing to increase at an alarming rate. According to the FBI’s annual report released this month, the number of incidents increased about 17 percent compared with last year. That is the largest increase in these types of cowardly acts since 2001. The culture of intolerance spread by President Donald Trump has clearly emboldened racist individuals to acts of violence.
Trump says a lot of obnoxious, incendiary things. But it’s fair to ask where Omar or anyone else would draw the line separating a "culture of intolerance that emboldens racist individuals to acts of violence" from acceptable and heated political rhetoric. For all of his myriad flaws, Trump has never encouraged anyone to shoot up a synagogue or mail bombs to people, and it’s unfair to insinuate or suggest that he has. This is denouncing a demagogue with more demagoguery.

A newly elected Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota declares that President Trump is ultimately responsible for a higher number of hate crimes in the past year;
If you take the position that Trump, as CEO of America, is ultimately responsible for everything that happens on his watch, then he is also responsible for junior Congress critters making dumb-ass statements.
Let us ignore for the moment the fact that all the hate crimes reported by the media seem to end up as hoaxes.

Can't wait until this creature insists the House shut down a couple times a day for "prayers." And most of the dems vote in favor of that. Then can't wait to hear Roberts try to explain how doing that isn't "an establishment of religion."

If only Bath House Barry was still in the White House.
[GatesofVienna] David Boyajian’s latest report discusses the less-than-pristine policies of the State Department when it comes to dealing with the Great Jihad in the Middle East.
Consider the mind-boggling statements made by then-Ambassador to Armenia Richard M. Mills during the Q & A at Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cambridge, MA.
I had bluntly questioned Mills about the Turkish government’s support for ISIS and similar jihadist/terrorist organizations.
Though this occurred two years ago (March 3, 2016), his answers remain relevant to America’s so-called “War on Terror” and the ongoing wars in Syria and Iraq.
When posing my question, I said that I would be handing everyone in the audience a study entitled “Research Paper: ISIS-Turkey Links” by Columbia University’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights.
Dr. David L. Phillips, the director of its Program on Peace-building and Human Rights, oversaw the study. The widely-published Phillips is a foreign affairs adviser for the State Department and the United Nations.
Using dozens of sources, the study definitively established that Turkey was providing weapons, ammunition, financing, transportation, training, and recruits to ISIS in Syria and Iraq and to other terrorist groups such as al-Nusra, an al-Qaeda offshoot.
Incredibly, Mills angrily replied that Turkey had not helped jihadists/terrorists in any way.
The ambassador even claimed that if some jihadists had entered Syria from Turkey they did so only by sneaking past Syrian refugees who were crossing in the opposite direction. To its credit, the polite Armenian American audience refrained from laughing.
Mills’ hyperbolic defense of Turkey was particularly incongruous, as American-Turkish relations were even then headed downhill toward today’s quagmire.

America’s “War on Terror” has largely morphed into a cover for the State Department’s and some American lobbies’ geopolitical agendas — such as deposing Syrian President al-Assad.
Yes, a blinding flash. 'Regime change' I believe it's called. Foggy Bottom... and the usual suspects of course. I guess bringing this up would only be slightly redundant:
John Christopher Stevens (April 18, 1960 – September 11, 2012) was an American career diplomat and lawyer who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Libya from May 22, 2012 to September 11, 2012. Stevens was killed when the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, was attacked by militants on September 11–12, 2012.

Hey wasn't there some stuff in the MSM being outraged at Russia meddling in Montenegro, whereas the lightbringer's state department seem to be meddling in other countries rather more, with rather worse outcomes.
The other Khashoggi - WHO WAS DODI?
Dodi was the eldest of former Harrods owner and billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed’s five children. Mohamed was, and is, a well-known, colorful, and controversial figure in the UK. With an estimated net worth of $1.87 billion, Mohamed was the owner of the famous luxury department store Harrods in London, Fulham football club, and the Ritz hotel in Paris, the last place Diana and Dodi were before they embarked on that fatal drive.
Dodi's mother, Samira Khashoggi, was Mohamed's first wife. Her father had been the personal physician to Saudi Arabia's Kind Abdul Aziz and her brother was Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. Linkie

Former Congressman Mike Rogers' wife Kristie was the CEO of the US Aegis branch. That might help explain the no-bid Foggy Bottom Benghazi contract and BMS award. Both Mike and Kristie have since.... retired from public life. I believe they moved on shortly after the 2012 Benghazi unpleasantness.
BTW, Blue Mountain Security has moved it's HQ to a.... more rural setting. No more convenient Vauxhall commutes
