Wow! Must-see evisceration of Rod Rosenstein and the Mueller investigation (video)
[Fox via American Thinker and Conservative Treehouse] Sean Hannity’s timing and choice of guests last night could not have been better. Combine Alan Dershowitz, the liberal-with-principles, and Joe diGenova, the principled foe of government abuse to discuss the ex-post-facto secret memo from Rod Rosenstein expanding Mueller’s investigation and you get intelligent fireworks that shed a lot of light.

This is one video that pays huge dividends for the 8 minutes you invest in.

#2  Dershowitz and DiGenova don't think much of the SC or the way it is being conducted. They are not too high on Rosenstein either. They laid out law and they don't think it is being followed. Slammed Rosenstein for stealing a year of the presidency with no evidence of wrong-doing. Got to agree. SC needs to fold up its tent and go home and quit interfering with goverment-- or if you will, obstructing the law.

Hershel Smith: David Joy And Feelings About Guns
Go to the article to check out the links
[CaptainsJournal] From one thing to another, and another, and another until all the feelings about anecdotal experiences have been flushed out of his mind into the world. Or something like that.

Two weeks before Christmas, I had a 9-millimeter pistol concealed in my waistband and a rifle with two 30-round magazines in the passenger seat beside me. I was driving down from the mountains to meet a fellow I didn’t know at a Cracker Barrel off I-40 in the North Carolina foothills. He was looking to buy a Kel-Tec Sub-2000, and I had one for sale. Other than that, I didn’t know him from Adam except for a few messages back and forth on Facebook.

It’s Getting Harder for Democrats to Deny They’re the Party of Flat-Out Citizen Disarmament
Via Oathkeepers:
“Karen Carter Peterson, chair of the Louisiana Kommie Party, has distinguished herself as the highest-profile Kommie in the country to outright call for a repeal of the Second Amendment,” The Advocate notes. “Last week, Peterson sent out a tweet with the words, ‘Repeal the Second Amendment.’ The tweet also linked to a New York Times column by former U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, arguing for a repeal of the Second Amendment.”

First of all, Peterson is more than a state politico. She’s Vice Chairwoman of the Kommie National Committee.

Then I look at the last two "mass shootings" and I see a lot of authority figure failures that could have stopped the thing at multiple levels and think perhaps the issue is not so bad if these are the best cases they can get.

You got polls and you got polls. There are the polls that CBS and the rest of them report to demoralize the opposition. Then there are the internal polls that tell the truth...at least as near as they can come to it.

Africa Subsaharan
Mercer: Winnie Mandela Will Never Rest In Peace
[Barely a Blog] I met Winnie Madikizela-Mandela briefly, at the inauguration of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. My father had been invited. He took me along. It was a beautiful affair; the choir and choral music sublime. Mrs. Mandela was a beautiful woman in her youth. It was easy to see why Nelson Mandela had fallen for her.

As a young bride whose husband had been imprisoned for life, Winnie suffered bitterly, especially during her exile to "Brandfort in the Free State, where she was unceremoniously dumped at house 802 with her youngest daughter, Zinzi. There was no running water or electricity and the house had no floors or ceilings. The people spoke mainly Sotho, Tswana or Afrikaans and hardly any Xhosa, which was Winnie’s home language."

With the years, however, Mrs. Mandela only grew angrier and more bitter, even when the good times rolled around.

She soon attained international ill repute for being embroiled in the practice of "necklacing" of so-called suspected police informers. "Necklacing," for those who don’t know, is the more contemporary African custom of placing a diesel-doused tire around a putative offender’s neck and igniting it. Truth be told, her victims were regular black folks who weren’t loyalists of the African National Congress.

Little Stompie Moeketsi was "a teenage United Democratic Front (UDF) activist." Winnie and her football team, aka posse (don’s ask me to explain), stood in the dock for these acts of barbarism against him and others:
Moeketsi, together with Kenny Kgase, Pelo Mekgwe and Thabiso Mono, were kidnapped on December 29, 1988 from the Methodist manse in Orlando, Soweto.[1] Moeketsi was accused of being a police informer. Screams were heard as Stompie Moeketsi was murdered, at the age of 14, by Jerry Richardson, member of Winnie Mandela’s "Football Club". His body was recovered on waste ground near Winnie Mandela’s house on January 6, 1989.[1] His throat had been cut. Jerry Richardson, one of Winnie Mandela’s bodyguards, was convicted of the murder. He stated that she had ordered him, with others, to abduct the four youths from Soweto, of whom Moeketsi was the youngest.[3] The four were severely beaten.

Involvement of Winnie Mandela In 1991, Winnie Mandela was convicted of kidnapping and being an accessory to assault.
According to a 1997 statement by the South African Press Association, the first-ever necklacing was of a girl named Maki Skosana, who in July 1985 was necklaced after being accused baselessly of involvement in the killing of several youths.

"With our boxes of matches and our necklaces, we shall liberate this country," proclaimed Mandela’s increasingly deranged wife Winnie to The New York Times on February 20, 1989.

Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s bravery in confronting problems
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] There is great significance in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
as of 2016....

’s visit to the US that goes beyond the close political relations between Riyadh and Washington as well as the military and economic agreements. It relates to changes sweeping through Saudi Arabia, which have picked up pace since King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Lord of Most of the Arabians....
bin Abdulaziz became ruler in 2015.

Through his press interviews, speeches and political stances, Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been altering the stereotypical image of Saudi Arabia in the foreign media, which usually presents the country as medieval state that possesses a lot of wealth and exports gunnies around the world!

The modern response of Saudi Arabia, particularly when dealing with Western media is not based on hostility and rejection, but is based on the concept of dialogue and correcting the latter’s misconceptions.

Saudi Arabia is not ashamed of admitting its past mistakes and admits there have been hard-line voices promoting hatred and takfir. However the crown prince has stated clearly: "We will eliminate turbans now and immediately." These "terrorists" would not have a place in the new Saudi Arabia, because it is a country that respects differences and diversity and renounces violence.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman was quite candid in his interview on CBS channel’s "60 minutes" program, in which he talked about how after 1979 "we were victims (of extremism), especially my generation."

The victims ‐ whom the Prince is referring to ‐ are those who have been under the sway of Islamic sahwa and takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who most be killed...
Salafism. Consequently, they were lured by militias like al-Qaeda, al-Nusra

front and ISIS which exploited their religious enthusiasm, as well as the conservative and strict way in which they were raised. It was thus easy to exploit them to promote a fundamentalist doctrine and carry out terrorist operations.

The importance of such a frank approach is that it rejects the premise of those who criticize Saudi Arabia thus making them incapable of attacking it like they used to do. The politicianship is now openly talking about the "the hard-line era" and criticizing it. Moreover, it is striving diligently to get out of that mindset, confront the issues of this era, and create a different environment based on civilized living, modernity and belief in individuals’ right to choose their way of life without constraints.

Saudi Arabia faces up to its problems bravely and does not feel ashamed about it. The solution to any problem starts by admitting it, thoroughly diagnosing it, knowing its causes and then uprooting or removing it effectively.

The power of the new rhetoric allows Saudi Arabia to forge non-traditional alliances and makes western public figures support Saudi politics and the ongoing change and reformation process as they began to see practical procedures and a modern language without justification or veneration that suggests a qualitative shift which will affect the entire Gulf and Middle East region.

#11  :What happens to Islam after Mecca gets nuked?"

Who would nuke it? Certainly not Muslims, they love the place. Certainly not Christians as they are currently dismantling their religion for strange reasons.

I'd wager India or Israel would consider it if faced with extinction at the hands of Islamist but otherwise they are too civilized.

That leaves China and although they have Muslim problems I don't think the problems are really that much of a concern for them that they'd take it that far.

Bangladesh
Is Sheikh Hasina turning Bangladesh into a one-party state?
[Al Jazeera] The controversial jailing of former Bangladesh Prime Minister the loathesome Khaleda Zia
Three-term PM of Bangla, widow of deceased dictator Ziaur Rahman, head of the Bangla Nationalist Party, an apparent magnet for corruption ...
and the state persecution of dissent have raised fears that the next parliamentary election could turn into a violent sham.

Fear of a 2014 repeat, when the parliamentary elections were boycotted by almost all the opposition parties and marred by large-scale violence and killings, runs high in Bangladesh as the ruling Awami League (AL) government faces allegations of a concerted persecution of its opponents.

While activists and political workers opposed to the government live under an increasing threat of being jugged
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
or worse, there is widespread concern, even among the common people, over what lies ahead in an election year.

Parliamentary elections in Bangladesh are due by December.

Nadia Tabassum Khan, an employee of a multinational company in Dhaka, told Al Jazeera that the Awami League has suppressed all dissent to such an extent that she doesn't think "anyone would dare to protest against them".

Hasan Habib is the owner of a real estate company based in Dhaka. He says "the enmities between the two leading political parties" have made the voting process "a nearly impossible task".

Enforced disappearance
Since the controversial imprisonment of Bangladesh's opposition leader and two-time Prime Minister Khaleda Zia last month, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the government of Prime Minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina
...Bangla dynastic politician and current Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She has been the President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She has once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia show such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums..
to reject allegations of turning into an authoritarian regime.

Zia was sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for five years on February 8 for embezzling 21 million takas ($253,000) in foreign donations meant for a charity named after former President Ziaur Rahman, Zia's husband. Her elder son and heir apparent, Tarique Rahman
...the elder son of former President of Bangladesh Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, and Khaleda Zia, former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. He is the Senior Vice Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). His nickname is Pino. There are allegations that Pino took a rakeoff from every foreign investment into the country while Mom was in office...
, and four others were also sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Nearly a month later Zia was granted bail. However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
the country's Supreme Court stayed the bail within a week "without assigning any reason", effectively putting the 72-year-old leader in jail till May 8, when the next hearing on her bail application is expected to be held.

The arrest and subsequent imprisonment of the former prime minister, which Zia's Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) called the Hasina government's conspiracy to keep the opposition party out of politics, led to widespread violence in cities across Bangladesh, with BNP supporters clashing with police and ruling party members.

Kremlin calls Facebook's removal of Russian media accounts censorship
[Reuters] MOSCOW - The Kremlin on Thursday said Facebook’s removal of accounts controlled by various Russian media was a hostile move that smacked of censorship.

Facebook said on Tuesday it had deleted hundreds of Russian accounts and pages associated with a "troll factory" indicted by U.S. prosecutors for fake activist and political posts in the 2016 U.S. election campaign.

When asked about Facebook’s move, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday agreed with a questioner from one of the affected media outlets that it was a hostile step which smacked of censorship.

"Yes it is," Peskov told a conference call with reporters. "We are of course following this and we regret it."

China-Japan-Koreas
World changing as South Korea caves on US trade agreement; agrees to improve American companies' access, conditional on North Korea being resolved. China next. Europe shivering as their turn awaits.
[Zeihan] The United States and South Korea have agreed on an overhaul of their bilateral trade agreement this past week. In it, the Koreans caved on pretty much every issue of contention, most notably agreeing to improve American firms’ access to Korea’s automotive and pharmaceutical markets while restricting their own exports of steel to the United States by nearly one-third. In exchange, the Koreans received the first permanent waiver to the Trump administration’s until-now unrelated issue of steel and aluminum tariffs.
America wins! Hooray for Trump!
In addition, Trump has personally made it clear he has little intention of formally signing off on the deal until after the North Korean situation is resolved, insuring South Korea must follow the American preferences on any subsequent arrangements with Kim Jung Un, rather than the other way around.
Throwing our weight around and dealing tough. Why hasn't the US State Department been doing this for decades? Why did they make losing deals time and time again?
It’s the first formalized, publicly-declared instance of American foreign policy coming full circle. During the Soviet standoff the Americans made the global oceans safe for all and kept the American market open to the alliance, in essence trading some of its economic power in order to purchase a security alliance. But the Cold War is nearly three decades gone now, and until recently the Americans had yet to update their strategic policy. As such, the post-Cold War global economic boom was largely a result of the Americans continuing to pay for a global system without getting anything in return. That disconnect was in part responsible for America’s recoiling from the world and the rise of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

National Council of Churches: White Christians Must Repent for ‘America's Original Sin' of ‘White Racism'
[Townhall] On Wednesday, the National Council of Churches (NCC), which claims to represent more than 45 million people of faith across the United States, held a rally on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination by calling on America to "Act To End Racism."

The event featured a huge list of speakers, most of whom were pastors, priests, or leaders of religious organizations, but the founders of Ben and Jerry’s, Hollywood actor Danny Glover, and Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson also made featured appearances.

However, regardless of the individual speakers or their personal backgrounds, all of them had one resounding message: White Americans are oppressing "black and brown people" through a deliberate system of "white supremacy," and they must repent and seek redemption by taking action to destroy that system.

NCC is an ecumenical partnership of 38 Christian faith groups ... representing 40 million.

The list of 38 members on wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Council_of_Churches_members

I thank God none of the churches I have fellowshipped with were on this list.

From a young age I have always been suspicious of fellowship groups.
If a group is not focused on Jesus Christ and a literal Bible it is very easy to get caught up into social justice causes like:
equal outcomes rather than equal opportunity, so called living wages for everyone, save the environment (and the world), animal rights, victimhood, guilt of racism (since everyone is prejudiced), can not judge anyone or anything because of of one's own prejudice, proclaim inequality therefore demand reparations for victims.
This is all the false gospel of victimhood.
You are the victim not at fault of your own because someone else is to blame for your oppression.
Anyone who knows Jesus is a victor not a victim.
But these social justice warriors have excluded Jesus.
So I can have no part with them or their causes.

#14  The NCC should be thankful the "White Racists" built all those fine Cadillacs they're riding.

#15  My wife and I were discussing this and decided that all this white privilege stuff is really just a rehash of "White Man's Burden" Everyone else is so inferior that whites once again must uplift everyone else because they can't do themselves. So once again, the Democrats have found a way to prove to themselves that they are superior and better than everyone else. Because when you look at the core of the Democrat party, you find that deep suited need to enslave others.
