[PJ] In a heated exchange with Gestapo chief Merrick Garland at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) directly challenged Garland’s viciously corrupt and politicized "Justice" Department, and zeroed in on the once-respected agency’s targeting of traditionalist Roman Catholics. While Garland maintained, in the teeth of the available evidence, that the department is not actually targeting Catholics, he claimed not to know how many spies and informants the feds have in those hotbeds of terrorism, traditional Catholic parishes. In other words, he didn’t say they didn’t have any such spies and informants. So if you’re Catholic, be watchful: the guy in the pew behind you could be taking notes.

The Romans had no problem with Christians or Jews worshiping God. The problem was, the Christians and Jews refused to pray to the government or government leaders as Gods. Nothing much new here.
Decius (249-251)
One of two of the later Roman emperors (the other was Diocletian) who put their boots on the throat of Christian believers. In 250 Decius decided that all Christians had to pay homage to the Roman gods or be killed and he was as good as his evil words. This carnage became known as “The Decian Persecution” as it came directly from the Emperor himself. This persecution took the life of no less a personage than Pope St. Fabian. The persecution went so far as to prohibit Christian worship in the empire — period. Mercifully, Decius died one year after his edict had been in effect.

I stopped going to church when the church that had housed three of the best pastors I have ever known started installing people (read into that word what you will) who had not even been ordained and started passing around a clipboard for people to sign up to take in Syrian "refugees."

Feds: "If you help us, then maybe we'll make all of those pedophilia accusations and charges disappear. Deal?"

^^^ Sounds like they are going to tick off a lot of Hispanics and Blacks in the process. And here I thought the political establishment was all in to pandering to minorities.
[bayourenaissanceman] Observers such as Michael Yon have noted that among the illegal aliens streaming northward through the Darien Gap towards the USA, there are a significant proportion of Chinese.
Many of them are younger men "of military age". Video and photographs appear to confirm that.
Others have already speculated that they may include Chinese intelligence agents; but I fear something more. If I were China... and I regarded the United States as an enemy... and I expected that a "hot" war might erupt in the Pacific in the not too distant future... wouldn't I try to get as many Special Forces operators as possible into my prospective enemy's territory before the outbreak of hostilities?
They wouldn't have to be well equipped. Given the sheer volume of international trade entering the USA every day, it would not be difficult to smuggle their arms and equipment into the country through various channels. For that matter, much of it could be bought locally. It's not like China is short of US dollars - we pay them billions every week (literally) to buy goods we import from them.
At any rate, that's the thought that comes to my mind when I see so many Chinese men "of military age" seeking to illegally enter the USA.

America's greatest weapon is, once immigrants arrive and get a taste of the opportunities and freedom, only the craziest zealots remain devoted to "the cause," whatever it might be.

Best guess, there are more than 20 MILLION illegal aliens here, with at lest half that number never significantly vetted or even identified. So name the threat actor, or enemy nation, and I imagine there are here in significant numbers. The threat of an organized fifth column directed by China or Iran is very real, but just as threatening is the civil unrest if we stop the SNAP programs or various welfare entitlements they thrive on.
