…barfly, neglectful father, cuckolded husband, former petty conman…
47, has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the Oxford school shooting
His son Ethan Crumbley
…depressed, possibly schizophrenic, neglected while his parents went out to bars and his mother carried on with a local fireman, he pled guilty and was sentenced to life without parole plus 24 years…
opened fire at the school in Oxford, Michigan in 2021, and murdered Hana St. Juliana, Madisyn Baldwin, Tate Myre, and Justin Shilling To be fair, he shot ten, four of whom died, in the five minutes he spent hunting for targets in the school before he was stopped. It could have been much, much worse.
Crumbley and his wife Jennifer are the first parents in the US to be held responsible for a child carrying out a mass shooting at school
According to prosecutors, Crumbley's only friend moved away at the end of October 2021, and the family dog died, causing him to become depressed. As early as March 2021, he started sending his mother "disturbing texts about his state of mind", which included claims about "demons" and "ghosts" inside the home. He also reportedly videotaped himself torturing animals, made Molotov cocktails, and drew a sketch of himself committing a school shooting, which he also joked about with a friend via text message. At one point, Crumbley allegedly kept a baby bird's head in a jar, which he later placed in a school bathroom. His parents allegedly never sought therapy for him after any of those incidents.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] New York City commuters scrambled for cover after an 'aggressive' rider was shot in the head on a subway train during rush hour on Thursday.
How sane was the aggressor?
The shooting occurred on a northbound A train in Brooklyn shortly after 4.45 pm, when a verbal dispute between two strangers escalated into a fight.
A 32-year-old man boarded the train at the Nostrand Avenue stop and was approached by a 36-year-old man who appeared to be 'aggressive and provocative,' according to witnesses.
As the train started moving, the 36-year-old flashed a sharp object believed to be a knife or a razor blade, Michael Kemper, the Police Department's Chief of Transit, said at a news conference.
At one point, he pulled out a gun from his jacket, walking toward the 32-year-old as the verbal dispute escalated into a physical fight.
The shooting on the nation's busiest transit system occurred less than a week after New York Governor Kathy Hochul stationed 750 national guard members in a bid to clamp down on the rampant violence on subway.
Social media users shared a clip of the fight that led up to the shooting, as the 36-year-old, wearing a black hoodie, can be seen punching the other guy multiple times. The 36-year-old also landed a punch on a woman, who appeared to have stabbed him in the back multiple times as he shouted repeatedly, 'you stabbed me?'
Blood visibly seeped through the black hooded man's shirt as the two men grappled, with the 36-year-old man ultimately sitting atop the 32-year-old. At one point, the hooded guy took off his jacket, revealing the weapon, and proceeded to load it.
Passengers can be heard shouting desperately, 'get me out, get me out,' before the car doors were opened.
The video did not capture the moment when the 32-year-old grabbed the firearm from the aggressive attacker, but multiple shots can be heard in the background.
The train pulled into the Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets station, where law enforcement authorities who heard the gunshots flooded the scene. The 32-year-old shooter was arrested before he stepped onto the platform and remained in custody.
The 36-year-old man was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was undergoing surgery and remained in critical condition.
Chief Kemper said that authorities have not yet determined whether the alleged shooter's actions would be considered self-defense. No charges have been brought against him as of Thursday evening.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) chairman Janno Lieber said, 'The victim here, as the chief said, appears to be the aggressor.'

authorities have not yet determined whether the alleged shooter's actions would be considered self-defense.
It all depends on the race of the participants. I bet the shooter gets some sort of illegal discharge of unlicensed weapon or at least disorderly conduct on a train.
I don't have much experience criming, but as a general rule, if you get shot with your own gun, you are doing it wrong.

..."White privilege? What about black privilege, or the latitude to be a violent thug and an absolute menace and escape any punitive consequences. Both videos illustrate the reality that there is a feral subculture that is directly linked to the leftist philosophy, and it is flourishing; I say subculture because of course this does not apply to all blacks. Did blacks act like this when living under the blessings of a civilized and conservative society? Hardly—Thomas Sowell has a lot to say on the thriving state of the black community prior to the Great Society and anti-poverty programs of 20th century Democrats.
Perhaps we ought to revist the musings of Michael Savage and Scott Adams.."

The department said on Saturday, a 15-year-old suspect was arrested and is currently being held by St. Louis County Family Court on assault charges. The identity of the suspect will not be disclosed because they are a minor.
John O'Sullivan with the St. Louis County Courts said it is too soon to know if the suspect will be charged as an adult. There will be a court hearing in the next few weeks.

My school days were full of bullies. So I took judo at the local YMCA whose instructor was a vet that ended up in an actual altercation with a Vietcon regular in the jungle who was armed with a knife. He got cuts on the arm (he showed us the cuts) but he eliminated his opponent. It really gave authenticity to the need to know martial arts. And indeed it came in handy a couple of times, surprising the school bullies. In a non-military confrontation (street warfare) his first advice to us was to avoid confrontation, even if you have to run away. You can't win against a gun or a knife. But he did a super great job of training us on how to overcome both as well wining at hand to hand, even against large opponents.
[GEO.TV] Authorities in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... said Wednesday that an 11-year-old boy was killed and a pregnant woman was critically maimed after a person launched an attack on the pair in the Edgewater neighborhood in North Side.
Police said that they arrested a suspect without releasing any information.
The law enforcers said that the 33-year-old woman was stabbed and was transported to hospital by the city’s fire department officials.
Authorities arrived at the 5900 block of North Ravenswood Avenue. According to the officials, the boy departed this vale of tears on his chest and was found deceased at around 8am.
The woman had multiple stab wounds.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Jaydone Perkins.
Police said it was a domestic-related incident.
People at the Peterson Plaza apartments were beside themselves with grief, and some of them said "they heard screaming in the morning, just before police arrived" according to ABC Chicago.
"Screaming, just screaming," one neighbor was quoted as saying in the report adding that "yelling, screaming 'help,' but I didn't hear no intervening. I pray for healing. It's sad."
Residents said that the 11-year-old boy was kind and playful, and they described his "mother as lovely".
Another neighbor said: "11-year-old boy, very well-mannered. Spoke to me when I see him. She spoke to me. We talked... would say, 'hey, how are you doing?'"
"She was a lovable woman, and her son was very well-mannered, and he spoke to me all the time," the neighbor added.
Police also commenced an investigation into the incident and cordoned off the scene of the crime.
Another nearby resident said: "Him and my daughter, they play in the yard together... well-mannered child."
"I'm devastated," a neighbor said. "I live on the compound. I have a 2-year-old, 7-year-old and 11-year-old, and I just can't wrap my head around it. Like...I'm flabbergasted."
[REDSTATE] Have you ever stumbled upon a news story and come away still not having any idea what's going on? That's how I felt after diving down the rabbit hole that is the "Ambassador of the Bronx" and her recent arrest in Florida.
This Diplomatic Immunity case of the Ambassador of Bronx and the other New York Diplomats keeps getting better and better. I'm ded.💀💀 pic.twitter.com/H3dd18fvbm
The saga centers on a Latin singer named Cecilia Selina Mercado. How famous she is remains a bit of a mystery. She has a couple of hundred thousand followers on Instagram, but as a supposed celebrity goes, that's not much on that platform. Based on what's in the videos I'm about to share, she does have money, though.
Regardless, Mercado, a New Yorker who goes by the stage name "Sessi," decided it'd be a great idea to drive around Florida with "diplomatic plates" on her Audi. The problem? They were fake, and she quickly learned her games don't work in the Sunshine State.
Miami-based WSVN 7 News has the video of the encounter, and if you think the beginning is weird, wait around until the end, because things get a lot more sublime weirder. Wait'll they get the formal complaint from the Bronx embassy!
The initial traffic stop, which was caught on video, was executed due to an illegal turn and Mercado's plates coming back fake. During the exchange of words, you can hear the singer's boyfriend shouting that she's not a U.S. citizen as a way to claim she has "diplomatic immunity." After refusing to comply and exit the vehicle, she is then yanked out of the car and onto her backside by police and arrested. Beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes! Hers too!
A day later, her bond was posted and Mercado was released from jail. That's when a Maybach A $200,000 Mercedes hybrid.
pulled into the parking lot to pick her up. She was then driven back to Sunny Isles where she was pulled over again. Why? Because the Maybach also had fake diplomatic plates. Estimated cumulative IQ somewhere around 62. Can't even break into Dull Normal range.
Her driver chose not to comply when commanded to exit the vehicle, refusing to even open the door. Police eventually smashed the window with guns drawn What did they think was gonna happen?
and forcibly removed him, placing him under arrest. He didn't have a driver's license and a stash of guns was found in the car. That was all caught on video as well and can be seen at the end of the above video. Mercado can be heard asking the police, "Why are you doing this." Because you're a self-important fraud?
So what actually happened here? Several dipshits in one place considered themselves outside earthly law?
I'm just as confused as when I first read the details. Why is a Latin singer from New York driving around with fake diplomatic plates in Florida? Why does she claim to be the "Ambassador of the Bronx," which doesn't even make sense? Why did she lie about not being a U.S. citizen? Why not? Makes her exotique, y'know.
Among the African-American community there is the Moorish Sovereign Citizens movement, also known as the Indigenous Moors, who have the queer idea that they are the native people of North America and therefore entitled to ignore the laws and retake title to any property that catches their eye, who pop up here from time to time. The non-African-American sovereign citizens movement is a parallel but separate strand of craziness in this great land of ours.
Why did her driver not even have a license? Claimed to be an illegal alien?
Why were there multiple guns in the car? Why didn't they shoot themselves?
Whatever the answers to those questions, it looks like Mercado learned a valuable lesson: Florida isn't New York, and what passes muster in the Northeast doesn't down South.

[Regnum] An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was recorded in northeastern Japan. The country's National Meteorological Administration reported this on March 14.
It is noted that the epicenter was in Fukushima Prefecture. Tremors were also felt in Tokyo.
Seismologists declared a tsunami threat for the northeast coast of Japan, but the warning was lifted a few minutes later. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
As Regnum reported, on January 1, a series of large earthquakes occurred in the Noto Peninsula area of Ishikawa Prefecture. The magnitude of the most powerful of them was 7.6. A tsunami threat was declared on the west coast of Japan, followed by a major tsunami for the first time since 2011. On the coast in a number of places the wave height was 4.2 meters.
Due to the earthquakes, roads and communications were destroyed. More than 1,400 houses are partially or completely destroyed, 59 thousand households in Ishikawa Prefecture remain without water, and more than 13.5 thousand remain without electricity. There are 6.3 thousand members of the self-defense forces working on the ground. The number of earthquake victims has reached 213 people.
[USNInews] The Navy wants to buy six battle force ships and decommission 19 ships in the next fiscal year, according to the service’s latest budget request.
Faced with fiscal constraints, the Navy’s Fiscal Year 2025 budget prioritizes readiness over modernization,
…wise, under the circumstances. They can revisit priorities should Donald Trump be reelected, along with majorities in both House and Senate…
leading to a smaller shipbuilding request and a delay for several new programs and research and development efforts.
The request, released Monday, is seeking one Virginia-class attack submarine, two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, one Constellation-class frigate, one San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock and one Medium Landing Ship.
The Department of the Navy is asking for a total of $257.6 billion, with $203.9 billion for the Navy and $53.7 billion for the Marine Corps. The numbers are a .7 percent increase above last year’s request, according to a Navy summary. Last year’s Fiscal Year 2024 submission sought $255.8 billion for the Department of the Navy, broken out with $202.5 billion for the Navy and $53.2 billion for the Marine Corps.
There’s a cute little table at the link showing planned new ship construction for the next five fiscal years (through FY 2029).
This year’s request continues the Navy’s plans to divest of older platforms, asking to decommission 10 hulls before the end of their service lives and nine additional ships. For the early retirements, the service wants to decommission two cruisers, the first four Expeditionary Fast Transports, one Whidbey Island-class docking landing ship, one Expeditionary Transfer Dock and two Littoral Combat Ships. Those ships are USS Shiloh (CG-67), USS Lake Erie (CG-70), USNS Spearhead (EPF-1), USNS Choctaw County (EPF-2), USNS Millinocket (EPF-3), USNS Fall River (EPF-4), USS Germantown (LSD-42), USNS John Glenn (ESD-2), USS Jackson (LCS-6) and USS Montgomery (LCS-8).
The Navy performed a “hull-by-hull analysis” of each ship to determine which ones to retire early, Navy Under Secretary Erik Raven told reporters Friday ahead of the budget rollout.
“On [the] Littoral Combat Ship, very consistent with prior year’s message that we look at the requirements for LCS and we find we have hulls excess to the validated requirements,” Raven said. “So the divestments proposed in this year’s budget are very consistent with that analysis.”
Raven justified the LSD retirement by citing the Navy’s plans to keep buying LPD-17 Flight II ships, a line the Navy halted procurement for last year.
Much, much more at the link, with a great many details of interested to those interested in such things, and dull as dirt to the rest. Enjoy!

[Regnum] In 2019,the administration of former President of the United States of America Donald Trump instructed the CIA to launch a campaign on Chinese social networks to incite public opinion against the leadership of the PRC. This was reported by the British agency Reuters, citing three former officials and intelligence sources.
“Two years after taking office as president, Donald Trump authorized U.S. intelligence to launch a covert Chinese social media campaign aimed at turning public opinion against his government,” the agency writes.
Authorized. Whose bright idea was it? Because it sounds like it originated somewhere in the bowels of Langley rather than the Oval Office.
The material states that US intelligence agencies spread accusations online that members of the Communist Party allegedly hid ill-gotten money abroad. In addition, the One Belt, One Road project has come under attack with accusations of corruption.
According to the publication, the efforts were aimed at “inciting paranoia among the country’s top leadership” and forcing managers to spend resources on fighting the virtual space.
According to media reports, a representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the news about the CIA initiative demonstrates that the US government is using the media space as a weapon of lies and manipulation of public opinion.
The agency emphasizes that it could not determine whether the administration of the next US President Joe Biden will continue this program. However, when the government grants the CIA covert action powers through presidential orders, they often remain in effect across administrations, two of the sources said.
As Regnum reported, in January 2017, two influential Chinese newspapers published messages addressed to Trump that Beijing would “take off the gloves” if the new US president continued his policy of flirting with Taiwan after his inauguration.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump said he would reconsider the One China policy. The Chinese Foreign Minister noted that this policy is the basis of Sino-American relations and is not subject to revision. After winning the presidential election, Trump received a congratulatory phone call from Taiwanese leader Tsai Ing-wen.

CIA tried to meddle in China.
They’ve been a bit handicapped because of that mole who got so many of their agents in China killed, do y’all remember? I don’t recall the details, but it seems to me that they never admitted to properly rebuilding the organization.
[IsraelTimes] Without giving details on who else may be involved, former Trump administration official says there’s ’no way’ Beijing would let the US own an equivalent company in China.
Former US treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin has said he’s going to put together an investor group to buy TikTok, a day after the House of Representatives passed a bill that would ban the popular video app in the US if its China-based owner doesn’t sell its stake.
TikTok, which has more than 170 million American users, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese technology firm ByteDance Ltd.

Where CNN takes a second to notice that prices are totally up from three years ago and businesses across the board are sucking it, but its a mystery!
I hope those people losing it because of their addiction to fast food are the same people who three years ago were calling for electronic automation and a cashless system.

I remember the sign bragging 25 cent burgers and 25 cent drinks and fries.
That's when we were on the gold/silver standard. According to today's market that quarter is worth $4.58 cents. It's not more expensive, in fact cheaper. It's the money we use is worthless.

No, no. Don't you understand that all the price increases are due to corporate greed, and not due to increased minimum wages and supplier price increases?

...Went to McDs the other night - had planned to cook dinner, but a minor family issue came up and by the time it was solved, it was just too doggoned late.

I stick with the o'25, hamburger, small drink and small fries. With tax it comes to about $5.25. Based upon the value of 3 silver quarters that should be $13.48.

Haven't ordered a drink from a McD in many decades. When I order something there (very rarely nowadays) I drink water or soda that I keep in my car. Most McD's will give you a free cup of ice water. I like their fish sandwich but it's almost $5 now. During this Lent McDs offers a 2/$6 deal. I have since resorted to rolling my own. I buy Gorton's frozen fish sandwich size fillets and burger buns from Aldi's (8 for $1.49).
The term "long COVID" should be tossed aside like a stack of expired N95 masks — that’s according to health experts in one country, who found that symptoms of those reportedly suffering a year on weren’t any different than your typical virus, such as the flu.
Government-backed medical researchers in Australia say it’s time to stop using the fear-inducing phrase, which became popular after high volumes of people testing positive for COVID-19 led to a surge in generally non-severe "virus fatigue symptoms" that would normally have gone unnoticed, South West News Service reported.
An Australian government agency study found that symptoms of so-called "long COVID" were no different from those who struggled to recover from other viral illnesses.
"We believe it is time to stop using terms like ’Long COVID’," said Dr. John Gerrard, Queensland’s Chief Health Officer, who oversaw the newly-released study.
"They wrongly imply there is something unique and exceptional about longer term symptoms associated with this virus," he explained.
[ZERO] As the global pandemic unfolded, government-funded experimental vaccines were hastily developed for a virus which primarily killed the old and fat (and those with other obvious comorbidities), and an aggressive, global campaign to coerce billions into injecting them ensued.
Then there were the lockdowns - with some countries (New Zealand, for example) building internment camps for those who tested positive for Covid-19, and others such as China welding entire apartment buildings shut to trap people inside.
It was an egregious and unnecessary response to a virus that, while highly virulent, was survivable by the vast majority of the general population.
Oh, and the vaccines, which governments are still pushing, didn't work as advertised to the point where health officials changed the definition of "vaccine" multiple times.
