Journalist Who Wanted Unvaccinated People Put in Concentration Camps Dies Suddenly at 33
[PJMedia] One ultra-left extremist was so sure what he believed was the gospel that he wanted unvaccinated people arrested and put away in concentration camps. Ian Vandaelle was a Canadian business journalist who worked as a reporter and editor at the Financial Post. Before that, he was a producer at BNN Bloomberg for over a decade.

However, during the “plandemic,” he called for vaccine passports and mandates in posts on social media. He even called for the firing of anyone who refused the injections.

Stephanie Hughes, Vandaelle’s partner, revealed that he died suddenly. In a post on X, she made this announcement:

It’s with a heavy heart today that I say he was declared neurologically deceased this week and taken off life support this morning.

The cause of Vandaelle’s sudden death has not been made public.

The sad truth is that there has been a drastic increase in cardiac incidents, many involving younger people who took the jab and boosters. In addition, there have been reports of immune system issues and other unexpected developments from the vaccine.

In some of his social media posts before the sudden incident that led to his hospitalization, Vandaelle seemed to be in good health and actively engaged in work.

28th state - Louisiana Enacts Constitutional Carry
[KEDM Radio, hat tip to Epoch Times] Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has signed constitutional carry into law. Beginning on Independence Day, July 4, the carrying of a concealed gun by a non-felon will be legal without a permit.

Restrictions on where a gun can be carried will be hot topics during the upcoming regular session. Louisiana has long been an "open carry' state but the new law is uncharted territory for Louisiana. All the states bordering Louisiana have passed permitless carry.

At the bill signing Governor Landry said, ""Today, we join 27 other states in passing Constitutional Carry. I promised the folks of Louisiana that I would champion Constitutional Carry into law, and within two months, I have honored that commitment. It's fundamentally clear—law-abiding citizens should never have to seek government permission to safeguard themselves and their families. Today, we have secured an incredible victory for liberty in Louisiana."

Bill to regulate surrogacy tabled in Uganda parliament
[AFRICANEWS] Uganda's parliament has introduced a bill aimed at tightening regulations surrounding surrogacy, restricting its use to individuals facing infertility or health impediments hindering natural reproduction.

The proposed bill, tabled by Ugandan MP Sarah Opendi, also aims to establish a minimum age requirement of 18 for surrogates, with stringent penalties awaiting medical practitioners who flout these provisions.

Under the bill, medical practitioners could face imprisonment for up to five years if found guilty of violating the outlined regulations. Additionally, the utilization of their own gametes or embryos, or those not authorized by their clients, could lead to life imprisonment.

Moreover, donors must undergo screening to ensure they are free of genetic diseases, further emphasizing the bill's commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of all involved parties.

Entitled the Human-Assisted Reproductive Technology Bill, the proposed legislation extends beyond surrogacy regulations, seeking to introduce comprehensive guidelines for various aspects of human-assisted reproduction. This includes the licensing and regulation of fertility centers, as well as oversight of sperm, oocyte, and embryo donation and storage.

Crucially, the bill also aims to introduce safeguards for children born through assisted reproduction methods, marking a significant step towards ensuring their rights and welfare.

Commenting on the bill, MP Sarah Opendi emphasized Uganda's potential to become a global leader in legislating assisted reproduction practices, underscoring the nation's commitment to enacting robust regulatory frameworks in this domain.

If passed, the bill promises to establish Uganda as a beacon of progress in addressing the complexities surrounding assisted reproduction, setting a precedent for other nations to follow suit in safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders involved.

Gambian lawmaker tables bill to repeal FGM ban
[AFRICANEWS] A Gambia
... The Gambia is actually surrounded by The Senegal on all sides but its west coast. It has a population of about 1.7 million. The difference between the two is that in colonial days Senegal was ruled by La Belle France and The Gambia (so-called because there's only one of it, unlike Guinea, of which there are the Republic of Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, New Guinea, the English coin in circulation between 1663 and 1813, and Guyana, which sounds like it should be another one) was ruled by Britain...
n politician has tabled a bill seeking to repeal the Women’s (Amendment) Act 2015 which banned circumcision and other FGM.

The bill was tabled at the national assembly for a first reading on Monday (Mar. 04).

Circumcision involves the cutting or altering of the external female genital organs for non-medical reasons.

Under the current law in the Gambia, a person convicted of performing FGM faces up to three years in prison, a fine of 50,000 dalasi (£622), or both, the guardian.org reported. Where FGM leads to death, the perpetrator could face life imprisonment, it added.

However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
the bill sponsor Almameh Gibba is among those in the country who firmly believe that FGM is not only cultural but a religious rite as well.

The Gambia's population is predominantly Moslem.

The issue is divise in Islam. Some scholars have banned FGM when others don't.

Since the ban was introduced nearly a decade ago, debates hasvebeen ongoing in the country. Last August, in — the first prosecution under the 2015 law —, three women were convicted of FGM. One of The Gambia's infulencial holy man supported them.

The Gambia's National Assembly deputy Speaker seedy Njie told newspaper the Standard there is a strong commitment from the majority caucus to ensure that the bill is defeated.

Accordign to the WHO, more than 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM) in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia where FGM is practiced.

Big win for school choice in Texas
[Washington Examiner] Texas voters delivered a stinging rebuke on Tuesday to incumbent Republicans who stonewalled Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R-TX) efforts to enact school choice in the Lone Star State. It is a message Republicans everywhere should hear.

In the primary races for seats in the Texas House of Representatives, 10 Republican incumbents who helped block school choice legislation were either defeated outright or now face a runoff election.

The results are a vindication for the governor, who took the unusual step of endorsing challengers to sitting lawmakers of his own party. Next year, Texas will probably become the most populous in the nation with universal school choice.

The margin by which many lawmakers lost is a warning from voters that others in Republican-controlled states should heed. Voters will no longer tolerate GOP legislators who do the bidding of American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten and other union leaders. They need to understand that parents will henceforth refuse to let their children be enslaved in failing public schools. They demand educational freedom, as they should.

In Texas House District 60, incumbent state Rep. Glenn Rogers was obliterated by challenger Mike Olcott by 26 points. In House District 11, longtime incumbent state Rep. Travis Clardy received a meager 37% as his opponent, Joanne Shofner, romped to victory with 63%.

Olde Tyme Religion
Pope Frank appears unable to climb a few steps as respiratory and mobility problems take their toll
May he speedily find himself in the arms of Jesus. Or healthy, hale, and hearty.
[AFRICANEWS] Pope Francis
...Argentine liberation theologist, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was elected pope in 2013. Rather than setting up shop in Avignon, where he belongs, the first Jesuit Pope chose to reside in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse instead of the papal apartments. He is big on climate change, against consumerism, and in favor of throwing a blanket over homosexual activity within the clergy. He's not real sure about the Resurrection, about Christ's divinity, and a few other things that would have gotten him burned at the stake a few hundred years ago, but he's hot for a certain South American Earth Mother Goddess...
again asked an aide to read his remarks and was unable to get back onto his popemobile Wednesday, as lingering respiratory and mobility problems continued to take their toll on the 87-year-old pontiff.

Francis presided over his weekly general audience, held outside for the first time this year in a chilly St. Peter's Square. But he had an aide read his catechism lesson, as he hasdone for the past several days.

Last Wednesday, Francis went to the hospital for unspecified diagnostic tests, the results of which have not been released. He has been suffering on and off this winter from what he and the Vatican have said was a cold, bouts of bronchitis, and the flu.

Late last year, Francis underwent a CAT scan that ruled out pneumonia, but the pope was still forced to call off a trip to the Gulf because of a bad bout of acute, infectious bronchitis.

Francis has also been suffering from a fracture in the knee and inflammation of its ligaments that starting in 2022 pushed him to use a wheelchair. But he has usually managed to get around with a cane or walker and the help of aides to get him to a standing position.

On Wednesday, however, Francis appeared unable to climb up the few steps to board his popemobile at the end of his audience, even while grasping onto the handrails. Aides quickly brought back his wheelchair and he sat back down. He then greeted the crowd before being wheeled out of the piazza.

The Argentine pope had part of one lung removed as a young man because of a respiratory infection, and he often speaks in a whisper even when not sick. In 2021, he had a chunk of his colon removed and last year had surgery to repair an abdominal hernia and remove intestinal scar tissue.

Has anyone added up the impact of EV's & their Batteries on the environment.... and compared it to a similar size gas vehicle?

Because, what I have seen & read so far, has EV's as far more damaging, far more $$$$$ expenesive to maintain/repair, and a shorter lifecycle than gas types.

#3  Yeah, but particulates reflect sunlight, causing global cooling, so that's good. Counteracts the nasty CO2 from the gas-guzzlers.

And wearing N95 masks will catch the particles before they get into your lungs, so that's OK, too, because you'll be protected against COVID-24.
