Taliban prepare suicide bombers in water dispute with Iran
Green on green. May their war last as long as the Iran-Iraq one.
[KhaamaPress] The Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
said they were ready to war with Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...

murderous Moslems across Somalia, noting the essence of clan mobilization and participation from community leaders and locals through the sharing of intelligence and timely information.

At Galmadug, the elders reaffirmed their support towards counterterrorism measures, adding that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has made tremendous milestones in uniting the country against terrorism. Galmadug has been the epicenter of the crackdown against al-Shabaab.

In his speech, Hassan Sheikh maintained that al-Shabaab has no place in Somalia, adding that the government will not have time to engage the group until the operation is concluded. He thanked locals for their commitment to seize the country from the hands of al-Shabaab bad boys.

Already, a number of clans have been mobilized with the military now aiming at combing Galmadug and HirShabelle states where the first phase of operations against al-Shabaab was anchored. Already, al-Shabaab has started retreating following intensified military activities.

Niger announced the closure of the country's airspace

[Regnum] Rebels in Niger closed the country's airspace following an ultimatum from the Economic Community of West Africa (ECOWAS). This was reported on August 7 by the Arabic TV channel Al-Arabiya .

“The military council of the rebels (“National Council for the Defense of the Fatherland.” – Approx. ed.) in Niger announces the closure of the country’s airspace,” the message says.

As IA Regnum reported , on the night of July 27, a group of military men in Niger announced a coup d'etat and the removal of President Mohamed Bazum from power . ECOWAS later gave the rebels a week to return the ousted head of state to power, promising to use force to restore constitutional order.

Later, the military leadership of ECOWAS announced its refusal to use force against Niger. At the same time, the community promised to strengthen sanctions against the country.

The ousted president of Niger asked the United States to restore constitutional order in the country. He did it through The Washington Post.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian side is in favor of returning the situation in Niger to a constitutional track as soon as possible.

US does not rule out a full-scale war in Africa because of the situation in Niger

The situation in Niger could lead to the outbreak of a full-scale war in Africa, said the former commander of NATO forces in Europe, retired US Navy Admiral James Stavridis.

Retired US Navy Admiral Stavridis warns of all-out war in Africa
“Will this lead to a full-scale war in Africa? Of course, there is potential for this. This would be a significant and devastating event,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Earlier, the military authorities of Niger said that a foreign invasion of the country was being prepared, so a decision was made to close the airspace. Which state plans to invade Niger, the rebels did not specify.

Niger rebels say they are preparing a foreign invasion of the country

The military authorities of Niger said that they were preparing a foreign invasion of the country, and decided to close the airspace. This was reported by Al-Arabiya TV channel.

The rebels did not say which state is planning to invade Niger.

The military council announced the closure of airspace.

It is assumed that this decision was made in connection with the expiration of the period after the statement of the leaders of the Economic Community of West African Countries, which stipulated that if President Bazum did not return to power within a week, military measures would be taken against the rebels.

Earlier, thousands of demonstrators in Niger rallied in the capital Niamey and expressed their support for the military authorities.

As IA Regnum reported , on the night of July 27, a group of military men in Niger announced a coup d'état and the overthrow of President Mohamed Bazum.

Niger announces preparation of intervention by two countries of Central Africa

The two Central African states began to prepare forces for the invasion of Niger. This is stated in the communiqué of the National Council for the Salvation of the Motherland (NCSR), created by the rebels, the ANP news agency reported on August 7.

“In two countries of Central Africa, a preliminary transfer of forces has begun to participate in it,” the NSSR said in a statement.

The authors of the statement stressed that the intervention in Niger is planned, despite the fact that the population of this republic and the peoples of the countries that are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are against it. The NSSR also stated that every state that would conduct military operations on the territory of Niger would be considered a participant in the operation.

Earlier, ECOWAS issued an ultimatum to the new authorities of Niger, demanding the reinstatement of deposed President Mohamed Bazum . Otherwise, the association threatened to use force. The ultimatum expired on 6 August.

At the same time, a senior military official from one of the ECOWAS countries told the Wall Street Journal that this community will need time to prepare forces for intervention in Niger.

The rebellion in Niger began on 27 July. Bazum was blocked by his own presidential guard, announcing a change of power. He, in turn, called on the United States to help restore power in the republic.

United States announced the lack of readiness of ECOWAS to send troops to Niger

The military from the countries of the Economic Community of West African Countries (ECOWAS) need more time to prepare the military contingent for entry into Niger. This was reported on August 7 by the Wall Street Journal .

“At the moment, we need to increase the number of our units before taking part in such hostilities,” a high-ranking commander of one of the ECOWAS countries told the publication.

He clarified that the success of any military action is directly related to good preparation.

Earlier, the rebels in Niger closed the airspace of the country after the ultimatum put forward by the ECOWAS countries. At the end of July, a military group in Niger announced a coup d'état in the country and the overthrow of President Mohamed Bazum.

After that, ECOWAS gave the rebels a week to return the ousted head of state to power, and also promised to use force to restore constitutional order.

Before that, the President of Niger, who was ousted from power, appealed to the United States with a call to restore the constitutional order in the country. He also called the events in the African state a tragedy.

Mali, Burkina to send delegation to coup-hit Niger
[AFRICANEWS] The Malian army announced on Monday the dispatch to Niamey by Mali and Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
of a joint official delegation in "solidarity" with Niger, the scene of a military coup at the end of July and under the threat of a West African military intervention.

"Burkina Faso and Mali are sending a delegation to Niamey, led by the Malian minister" Abdoulaye Maïga, one of the strong men of the Malian junta, indicated the Malian army on social networks. "Objective: to show the solidarity of the two countries to the brotherly people of Niger", she added.

The delegation is expected in Niger on Monday, according to Nigerien Foreign Affairs.

The announcement of this visit comes just after the expiry, Sunday at midnight, of the ultimatum set by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to the Nigerien soldiers to restore the ousted president Mohammed Bazoum. ECOWAS threatened to use force after the deadline expired.

Mali and Burkina Faso, where military forces also seized power by force in 2020 and 2022, warned in a joint statement that they would consider such an intervention a " declaration of war".

Britain
Britain transfers some migrants to docked barge
[Dawn] Britannia on Monday began housing migrants colonists on board a barge docked off the southwest English coast, in its latest controversial immigration policy that has drawn heavy criticism from locals and rights campaigners.

The "Bibby Stockholm", which has been moored for weeks in Portland on the Dorset coastline, accepted the first of up to 500 young, male inhabitants due to stay there, after a series of delays.

The decision to dock the vessel in Portland, a small island with a population of about 13,600 people, has prompted a backlash from some locals, including its Conservative MP, who argue the area is ill-suited to the task.

Rights advocates have also hit out at the policy, saying the barge is unfit for the purpose, with protesters from either side showing up at the waterfront site in recent weeks.

Steve Valdez-Symonds of Amnesia Amnesty International UK branded the barge "a shameful way to house people who’ve fled terror, conflict and persecution".

It was previously used by Germany and the Netherlands to house homeless people and asylum-seekers, but opponents in Britannia have noted it was previously described as an "oppressive environment".

A number of migrants colonists did not board the barge after legal moves.

"None of the asylum-seekers we are supporting have gone to the Bibby Stockholm today," said Steve Smith, chief executive of refugee charity Care4Calais, adding that they had suffered torture, modern slavery and had traumatic experiences at sea.

‘Dire Need’: US Prosecutors Rush To Evacuate Colleagues From Afghanistan
A little late to start rushing...
[MediaLine] A coalition of prosecutors from the United States is trying to help evacuate prosecutors from Afghanistan who are being hunted by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...

August 15 marks the two-year anniversary of the fall of Kabul, which completed the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan. Two weeks later, only two American officials remained in the country. The US Embassy’s chargé d’affaires, Ross Wilson, and US Army Gen. Christopher Donahue took the last flight out of Afghanistan. With the Americans gone, the Taliban had total control. This would prove deadly for many Afghans, but especially for the country’s former prosecutors and judges, who experts say are now being hunted.

Twenty-nine Afghan prosecutors have been killed by the Taliban in the last two years. Three of those killings have occurred within the last three weeks. Many former prosecutors are hiding in fear, unemployed, and unable to provide for their families. It is a problem some experts say the new government created and encouraged.

'Submit before writ of state or get decimated', army chief warns terrorists
[GEO.TV] Army chief General Asim Munir on Monday said the recent surge in terrorism was a "futile effort" by snuffies to resume talks and warned them to submit to the "writ of state of Pakistain before they are decimated".

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief issued the warning when he met the tribal elders and notables from the newly merged districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The "interactive session" was held during the chief of army staff’s (COAS) visit to Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
"The surge in terrorism in recent past is a futile effort on the part of snuffies to get the talks re-initiated, however, there is no option for these snuffies except to submit to the writ of state of Pakistain before they are decimated, if they persist on their wrong path," Gen Munir was quoted by the military’s media wing.

The army chief reiterated the resolve of the Pakistain Army, Frontier Corps
...a provincial paramilitary force. Total manpower is about 80,000. They are tasked to help local law enforcement in the maintenance of law and order, and to carry out border patrol and a..the Antwerp-based Salafist organization that had campaigned to introduce Sharia law to Belgium before single-handedly making Belgium the highest per capita supplier of jihadis to Syria in Europe. There was a big trial in Antwerp in 2015, but most of those convicted were in absentia...nti-smuggling operations....
(FC) and other law enforcement agencies in their fight against terrorism. "He [Gen Munir] showed resolve to finish peril of Narco which is becoming a lifeline for these TTP khawaraj," said the ISPR.

Gen Munir also stated that "propaganda by inimical forces" against the armed forces will be dealt with as per the law.

Paying tribute to brave rustics, officers and soldiers of the Pakistain Army, FC, Levies, Khasadars and police, the COAS vowed that the sacrifices of the deaders will not go in vain and complete peace will return to Pakistain.

The ISPR said that during the session the army chief also lauded the "supreme sacrifices of brave and resilient" tribals of Pakistain. He also appreciated their "indomitable resolve for standing shoulder to shoulder with the security forces" in the fight against terrorism.

"With the unflinching resolve of the nation, Pakistain is successfully countering terrorism to enable a stable and peaceful environment for socioeconomic development in the area," the army chief told the tribal elders.

Imran Khan kept in 'bug-infested cell', given C-class facilities: PTI chief's counsel
[GEO.TV] Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) Chairman Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
’s counsel Naeem Haider Panjotha has claimed that his client has been provided C-class facilities and kept in "poor condition" in Attock jail.

Panjotha, the PTI chief’s counsel, said this on Monday after meeting his client in prison.

Khan, the deposed prime minister, was arrested on August 5 after a district and sessions court in the federal capital convicted him for corrupt practices related to the state gift depository — allegations which he denies.

"Charges of misdeclaration of assets have been proven against PTI chairman," Judge Humayun Dilawar wrote in his judgment, handing Khan three years in jail, along with a fine of Rs100,000, while issuing an arrest warrant for his immediate arrest.

After his arrest, Khan was moved to Attock jail.

In today’s media talks, Khan’s lawyer said the former prime minister, who was removed from power via a parliamentary vote last year, was provided with a small room "which has an open washroom".

Elaborating on the poor conditions of the cell, the lawyer said the jail cell was infested with flies and bugs where the PTI chief is being kept.

"The PTI chairman says he is ready to spend his whole life in jail," the lawyer added.
Khan: "Hey now! I don't think I ever said that"
Panjotha further said that Khan told him that police did not show him an arrest warrant at the time of arrest and tried to break the door of his wife Bushra Bibi's room.

The teen’s father, Fatehi Hamed, told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that his son was shot by Israeli troops after throwing Molotov cocktails at soldiers operating near Silwad.

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces told The Times of Israel that forces operating near Silwad identified a Paleostinian suspect hurling a Molotov cocktail at the nearby settlement of Ofra.

"The force responded with gunfire," the military spokesperson said, adding that the suspect was hit and later was reported to have died.

"The circumstances of the incident are under investigation," the spokesperson added.

On Monday afternoon, Paleostinians hurled an improvised bomb at the West Bank security barrier, the IDF said.

The military said that the IED that went kaboom! near the barrier close to the Paleostinian village of Araqah caused no injuries or damage. Footage published on social media showed the blast.

Araqah is close to the northern West Bank settlements of Shaked, Hinanit, and Tal Menashe, which are on the western, or Israeli, side of the barrier.

Earlier Monday, the IDF said that troops detained 17 wanted Paleostinians during sweeps across the West Bank, with violence in some areas. [IsraelTimes] Deal signed ahead of Israel’s anticipated entry into Visa Waiver Program de-prioritized Americans from Strip, but Israeli official says they’ll be able to use Ben Gurion Airport

Israel will ease travel restrictions for Paleostinian-Americans from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
following outcry over their exclusion from the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP), a senior Israeli official said Monday.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Turkish drone attacks in Syria complicated anti-ISIS mission – Coalition
[NPASyria] The US-led Coalition said on Monday, in its quarterly report, that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s continued drone attacks in Syria complicated the coalition’s mission of countering the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS).

In addition to Turkey, the Coalition statement said that Iran, the Syrian government and Russia also played a role in making the Coalition’s mission more challenging.

"Third party forces operating in Iraq and Syria—particularly Iran, Turkey, Russia, and the Syrian regime—complicated the progress of the OIR mission," the report said.

OIR is the US military’s operational name for the international military coalition’s intervention against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, which started in August 2016.

As for Turkey, it "conducted ongoing unmanned aerial system (UAS) strikes targeting SDF [Syrian Democratic Forces] leaders, claiming they were affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK)."

On Thursday, a Ottoman Turkish drone hit two vehicles near the Ali Faro Road in western Qamishli, northeastern Syria, killing four SDF fighters who had fought against ISIS for years.

The Coalition’s statement added, "Russia continued to violate deconfliction protocols it has agreed to with the U.S. military, mostly by conducting flights over U.S. forces in Syria."

Russia recently made several "unprofessional" encounters with US drones in Syrian airspace. On July 26, the White House reported that a Russian fighter jet fired flares and hit a US drone in Syrian airspace.

"Iran-aligned militias conducted limited, ineffective attacks on U.S. and Coalition forces in Syria during the quarter," the report said.

The Coalition said that its forces "continued to train SDF and Internal Security Forces (Asayish) to provide security at detention facilities."

SDF-held prisons in northeast Syria house more than 10,000 ISIS fighters. As for the Hawl detention camp, it holds more than 50,000 individuals of the family members of ISIS fighters.

In Iraq, the report said, "Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) and Kurdish Security Forces (KSF) made no notable gains in counter-ISIS capability." However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
there was more ISF-KSF coordination than before in terms of countering ISIS.

Regarding developments against the Islamic State, the Coalition noted that "ISIS capabilities remained degraded in Iraq and Syria during the quarter. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
the group continued to pose a threat and its violent mostly peaceful ideology remained unconstrained."

Speaking about the mission’s overall goal, the Coalition said "there was limited progress toward U.S. goals to improve security, governance, promote economic growth, and address humanitarian crises in Iraq and Syria."

Syrians deported by Turkey to northern Syria face harsh realities
[NPASyria] Thirty-year-old Sumer al-Ibrahim failed in three risky attempts to cross to the other side, but this time not to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
, from which he was forcibly deported a few days ago, but to "the other side of the homeland," as he described it.

At the beginning of July, the Ottoman Turkish authorities deported al-Ibrahim, along with hundreds of Syrians, as part of the ongoing deportation campaign against Syrian refugees living in its territory.

More than 3,000 US troops arrive in Red Sea area amid Iran tensions
[IsraelTimes] More than 3,000 United States military personnel have arrived in the Red Sea aboard two warships, part of a beefed-up response from Washington after tanker seizures by Iran, the US Navy says.

The deployment adds to a growing US military buildup in tense Gulf waterways vital to the global oil trade and led Tehran on Monday to accuse the US of inflaming regional instability.

The US military says Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has either seized or attempted to take control of nearly 20 internationally flagged ships in the region over the past two years.

The US sailors and Marines entered the Red Sea yesterday after transiting through the Suez Canal in a pre-announced deployment, the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet says in a statement.

They arrived on board the USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall warships, providing "greater flexibility and maritime capability" to the Fifth Fleet, the statement from the Bahrain-based command adds.

The deployment adds to efforts "to deter destabilizing activity and de-escalate regional tensions caused by Iran’s harassment and seizures of merchant vessels," Fifth Fleet front man Commander Tim Hawkins tells AFP.

as Saudi Arabia’s negotiations with the Ansar Allah movement were halted as a result of the United States’ intervention, and Ansar Allah publicly strengthened and equipped its naval force with new Iranian missiles and armed boats in response to military movements by the Saudi-led coalition in Bab al-Mandab

#7  Ansar Allah are the Houthis, Aca Joe, and they’ve been Iranian sockpuppets from the beginning. If the Saudis (Wahabbi Sunnis) are negotiating with the Houthis (Shiites), I would assume both sides plan to betray the other at some point (a hudna rather than a peace treaty) unless the Saudis and the ‘ad Mullahs of Iran have already on the disposition of the Houthis between themselves.

Report: Foreign forces behind Ain el-Hellhole clashes
[An Nahar] The latest tensions in the region had a "direct link" to the deadly armed festivities that erupted on July 28 in the Paleostinian refugee camp of Ain el-Helweh in south Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
, a senior Western diplomat said.

"Foreign forces incited hardline armed factions in the camp in an attempt to seize control of it, which resulted in the liquidation of Paleostinian National Security official Abou Ashraf al-Armoushi and a number of his lover companions," al-Joumhouria newspaper quoted the diplomat as saying, in remarks published Monday.

"A prominent Gulf state meanwhile intervened by financing the Fatah Movement to prevent the spread of the hardliners," the diplomat said.

"The Lebanese Army is carrying out very calculated security missions, including the encirclement of the camp’s entrances, with the aim of preventing the defeat of the Fatah Movement in it, disallowing any button men from leaving it and protecting the very vital South highway," the diplomat added.

Hezbollah is meanwhile "in favor of maintaining balance between the warring factions and its decision is not to intervene as long as the army is in control of things and the South highway is secure," the diplomat said.

"In response to the use of the hardline bully boyz card and the financing of the other group (Fatah) by a certain country, and in the face of the return of (drug) smuggling and the creation of tensions in the region, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
expressed its anger and dismay through asking the 400 Saudi citizens in Lebanon to leave it, after they had come to Lebanon through The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
in violation of their country’s travel ban for Lebanon," the diplomat added.
