Afghanistan
4000 ISIS-K Fighters Stationed in Afghanistan Near Tajikistan Border: Anatoly Sidorov
[KhaamaPress] Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the Joint Staff Chief of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has announced that the ISIS fighters in Afghanistan reach 6500, out of which 4000 ISIS-Khorasan fighters are believed to be stationed near the Tajikistan border.

Mr. Sidorov stated that ISIS-K forces of Evil are mostly stationed in northern Badakhshan, Kunduz, and Takhar provinces. Prior to this, United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
officials had revealed in a fresh report that several thousand ISIS forces of Evil are operating in Afghanistan. Sidorov believes that Death Eater group poses threats to the security of Central and South Asia.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the Islamic Emirate officials repeatedly denied such claims and say that Taliban
...Arabic for students...
security personnel target ISIS fighters and would not allow them to grow in numbers in the country. Herewith, the Taliban officials report on carrying out separate operations on ISIS fighters across Afghanistan.

Since the return of the Taliban to power, ISIS forces of Evil have carried out brutal attacks in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan, claiming the lives of scores of innocent civilians and foreign diplomats.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Livia had made her point with her knee to Jane's stomach...
Tajikistan which shares a border with Afghanistan has experienced rocket attacks from the Death Eater group over the past year.

Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan whose country is a permanent member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization had stated earlier that at least 6000 bandidos Lions of Islam operate in Afghanistan.

Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of Joint Staff of (CSTO) in a presser on Tuesday admitted that ISIS-K and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan are a serious threat to the security of Central Asia.

"Instability in the regions is directly linked to the Taliban’s policy to repress religious and ethnic minorities, increasing level of violence and lack of unity. The Taliban-run administration is currently plagued with a serious economic and humanitarian crisis," he added.

Despite other challenges, drug trafficking, and illegal distribution of weapons can pave the way for another civil war in Afghanistan, given the existing situation.

Africa Horn
Somali President ‘Thanks to debt settlement, a new dawn is possible’
Can there be normalcy in Somalia after all this time?
[ShabelleMedia] A renewed commitment to support investments for the agricultural development of Somalia, thanks also to the generosity of the governments of Italia, Germany, Belgium and Sweden who have allowed the country in the Horn of Africa to settle its debt to the International Fund for agricultural development (IFAD) after three decades.

This is the main announcement that emerged from the inaugural day of the 46th session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), whose work opened today in Rome at the headquarters of the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
Food and Agriculture Organization agriculture (FAO).

Special guest was the Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on an official visit to Rome for a week now, who was keen to thank the governments of the four European countries for the "generous decision" defining it as "an opportunity for a new dawn for Somalia", a country called to face a very serious insecurity food resulting from the drought and to face the long-standing insurgence of the jihadist group Al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

It is precisely on the link between terrorism and rural poverty, and on the need to cut it, that the Somali president insisted the most in his speech at the FAO plenary. "Humanitarian security is crucial to Somalia’s security, the two go hand in hand. Terrorism is rooted among the poor and hungry rural population, especially among the youngest. The main challenge is to create a better and more resilient future. Accelerating action on food security is central to global prosperity," Mohamud said, stressing the need to encourage multilateral and bilateral partners to support Somali’s agricultural sector to ensure food security, jobs and stability, and social stability .

"We are fully committed to defeating terrorist groups, together we are one with international partners. My government is guaranteeing active support to the security forces to free the territories occupied by terrorists, but investments are also needed to eradicate poverty and sever ties with terrorism", continued the Somali president, recalling the terrible statistics regarding the food crisis taking place in your country following the failure of four consecutive rainy seasons. "Climate change is a real challenge in Somalia, which is why we are engaged in adaptation initiatives. We have established for the first time the figure of the Minister of the Environment to deal with this threat ", he added.
He continues on in this vein for several more paragraphs at the link.

Somalia: Journalist released hours after conviction by a court
[Garowe] Hours after their conviction by a court in Mogadishu, a renowned Somali journalist was released with the judge slapping him with a two-month sentence over security-related charges in a case that drew the attention of the media advocacy groups and human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
teams.

In an interesting twist of events, Abdalle Ahmed Mumin, the Secretary General of one of the media advocacy teams, was set free on Monday hours after his conviction. He was arrested in October 2022 following a crackdown on journalists purportedly "publishing" al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
propaganda.

He spent five months in jail, forcing rights groups to organize demonstrations against the government of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who had pledged transparency and human rights freedoms in the Horn of Africa nation which is struggling with instability.

"When I was taken to Mogadishu central prison, officers refused to jail me granting my immediate freedom," he said on Twitter.

"I went straight to my office to conduct my daily routine. I will continue to be on the forefront of defending press freedom and human rights in Somalia," he added.

Mumin is the secretary-general of the Somali Journalists Syndicate [SJS], which had vowed to appeal the ruling, calling it "a pure travesty of justice." The SJS President Mohammed Ibrahim said: "This afternoon Abdalle has been released by the prison chief, saying that he has already served this sentence despite the verdict."

Amnesia Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the international press had asked the courts to drop the cases unconditionally much to the disgust of the government of Somalia. They accused the government of persecuting him due to his strong advocacy for freedom of expression.

"Continuing his prosecution not only casts a chilling effect on media freedom and journalism, but it also significantly contributes to the closing civic space in the country," they said in a joint letter to Somalia's attorney general in December.

The government of Somalia had warned media houses against publishing materials deemed to be al-Shabaab propaganda, noting that whoever publicizes al-Shabaab will be subjected to court. al-Shabaab bandidos hard boyz have lost significant territories in rural central and southern Somalia since July 2022.

Knesset passes law to strip Israeli citizenship from terror convicts paid by PA, Arab party protests
[IsraelTimes] The Knesset passes a law to strip convicted turbans who receive funding from the Paleostinian Authority or an associated organization of their citizenship.

Getting rare cross-Knesset support, the law passes 94-10 on its third and final reading.

While its main sponsor was Likud MK Ofir Katz, it also counted members of the opposition’s right-wing and center-left politicians among its cosigned supporters.

The law, an amendment to Israel’s 1952 Citizenship Law, applies to both Israeli citizens and permanent residents incarcerated following a conviction for terror, aiding terror, harming Israeli illusory sovereignty, inciting war, or aiding an enemy during wartime, and enables the interior minister to revoke their status after a hearing.

The law also expands the ability to revoke citizenship from persons lacking a second citizenship, provided they have a permanent residence status outside of Israel.

Once citizenship is revoked, the person would be denied entry back into Israel.

The Paleostinian Authority regularly pays stipends to convicted terrorists, and the bill also applies to organizations that pay out on the PA’s behalf. The requirement to receive PA-linked money makes the law inapplicable to Jewish terrorists.

Hadash-Ta’al slams ‘anti-democratic’ law to strip terrorists of citizenship

[IsraelTimes] The majority-Arab Hadash-Ta’al party slams a just-passed law to strip convicted turbans of their citizenship or residency if they were paid by the Paleostinian Authority.

The payment clause is widely understood to have tailored the bill to apply only to Paleostinian terrorists, who routinely receive stipends from the PA or related organizations, and to exclude Jewish turbans from scrutiny.

Hadash-Ta’al says that the law is "anti-democratic" because it leads to a "deepening of the occupation, one law for the Jews, and another law for the Paleostinians."

"There is no democracy with occupation, it is the opposite," the party says.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria’s AANES Hands ISIS-Related Woman, 2 Children To Slovakia
[NPASyria] On Tuesday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced handing over a woman and two children of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) family members to a delegation from the Government of the Slovak Republic.

This came on sidelines of the visit by the delegation headed by Igor Pokojný, Director of Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, to the city of Qamishli, northwest Syria, on Sunday, according to the AANES Foreign Relations Department.

Among the issues that the delegation and officials in the Foreign Relations Department discussed were the catastrophic earthquake that hit Syria on Feb. 6 and political, economic, humanitarian and security impediments faced by the AANES.

Rubel Baho, deputy co-chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, said, "The international community falls short when it comes to ISIS family members in Roj and Hawl camps."

He added that the AANES will cooperate with the Government of the Slovak Republic and all countries with nationals, including children, in the AANES-held areas to facilitate repatriation processes.

The AANES handed over the ISIS family members to the Slovak delegation according to a formal documentation signed by the administration.

The AANES was first formed in 2014 in the Kurdish-majority regions of Afrin, Kobani, and Jazira in northern Syria following the withdrawal of the government forces. Later, it was expanded to Manbij, Tabqa, Raqqa, Hasakah, and Deir ez-Zor after the SDF defeated ISIS militarily there.

This is the first time a Slovak delegation visits the region to repatriate nationals.

There is no available information about the number of Slovak nationals in camps in northeast Syria.

Hawl and Roj, the most dangerous camps globally, are among several other camps in northeast Syria that hold ISIS family members, including those from foreign countries, who joined its ranks during era of the ISIS so-called Islamic Caliphate in 2014.
