Afghanistan
Taliban to allow high school graduation exams for Afghan girls — who’ve been barred from class
[IsraelTimes] Afghan girls will be allowed to take their high school graduation exams this week, an official and documents from the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
government indicate — even though they have been banned from classrooms since the former murderous Moslems took over the country last year.

According to two documents from the Taliban ministry of education, obtained by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, the decision applies to 31 out of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces where the winter school break starts in late December.

Ehsanullah Kitab, head of the Kabul education department, says the exams would take place on Wednesday. He provided no other details and it was not clear how many teenage girls would be able to take the exam.

One of the documents, from the Kabul education department, says the exams would last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A second document, signed by Habibullah Agha, the education minister who took office in September, says the tests would be held in 31 Afghan provinces. The three excluded provinces — Kandahar, Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
and Nimroz — have a different timetable for the school year and high school graduation exams typically take place there later.

"This is ridiculous," says 18-year-old Najela from Kabul, giving only her first name for fear of reprisals. She would now be in twelfth grade and eligible for the exam. "We spent a whole year under tension and stress and haven’t read a single page of our textbooks."

Electricity providers in Aden warn total shutdown of services is imminent
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Aden Electricity announced, Monday, that the process of supplying power stations in the governorate with diesel fuel and crude oil has stalled, warning that the power station will be completely out of service.

The Corporation renewed its appeal to pro-Saudi government, to expedite the provision of fuel for the power stations, including diesel and crude oil for the "MetroMasila" station, before going out of service.

It indicated that its appeal came after all concerned parties were unable to provide fuel this led to the exit of 40% of the current generation stations in Aden Electricity and the increase in the hours of outages in the city.

The city of Aden has been witnessing continuous power outages since the US-Saudi aggression took control of the city in May 2015.

Saudi Arabia wants to normalize ties with Israel [for weapons]
[JPost] Saudi Arabia is looking to normalize ties with Israel, although it will be a while before this ever properly manifests, Israeli news outlet i24NEWS reported Tuesday.

The article cited Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Abdel al-Jubeir, who recently spoke to senior American Jewish leaders. There, he guaranteed that Israeli-Saudi normalization will happen eventually, but stressed that it will take time.

In addition, in a meeting with US officials visiting Riyadh courtesy of the Washington Institute, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman listed three main demands that must be met for Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords and normalize ties with Israel, according to i24NEWS.

According to the report, these demands did not include anything about the Palestinian conflict or requests for Israel. Rather, they hinged entirely on the US, specifically affirming a US-Saudi alliance, proper weapons supplies to the kingdom as if it were a NATO country and allowing Riyadh to have a restricted civil nuclear program.

Resident of Dagestan sentenced on probation for inciting extremism on social media
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The Buinaksk City Court sentenced a resident of the village of Nizhnee Kazanishche to two years in prison on probation, recognizing that the publication on his social network page contains calls for extremism.

According to investigators, I. Kadivov, a resident of the village of Nizhnee Kazanishche, posted materials on his social network page in February that contained public calls for extremist activity.

"The Buynaksk city court sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of two years suspended, with a probationary period of one year and six months, with a ban on engaging in activities related to the administration of Internet sites for a period of one year and six months," RIA reported on December 5. "Dagestan" with reference to the republican department of the FSB.

There were no comments from Kadivov or his representatives regarding the court's decision.

A call to extremism is considered not only a post on a social network, but also a repost of this post, said Vefader Melikov, a member of the expert council at the anti-terrorist commission in Dagestan.

“There are more and more episodes committed in 2020-2021, and even earlier. This suggests that traces of illegal actions on the Internet remain for a long time. Thanks to various search engines and aggregators, these traces are easy to calculate. I would like to remind readers that the law does not sees the difference between a post (publication) and a repost. Thus, human behavior in the Internet space is not completely neglected, as many people think," he said.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on December 2 it became known that the defense of Izberbash native Ilgar Aliyev, who was sentenced to eight years in prison for organizing the "Nurcular" cell *,
...a movement with millions of followers around the globe, especially in Turkey, banned in Russia since 2008. It was founded by Turkish Sufi theologian-politician Said Nursi (d. 1960), with the goal of forming a Turkic caliphate comprising those regions of the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia's North Caucasus and Volga regions, so of course the Russian authorities object...
managed to prove in court that his actions were unlawfully qualified under the article on involvement in extremist organization. The court canceled part of Aliyev's punishment and released him.

Europe
Human rights activists lost contact with close relatives of Tumso and Mohamad Abdurakhmanov
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The power structures of Germany do not comment on the whereabouts of Tumso's brother Abdurakhmanov Mohamad, Deutsche Welle informed. There is also no contact with the closest relatives of the Abdurakhmanov brothers, according to the Vayfond human rights association.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 1, information  about the murder of Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov in Sweden was circulated on the Internet, while on December 2, representatives of the Vayfond association and the Assembly of Chechens of Europe noted that publications about the blogger's murder did not look reliable.

However, on December 5, the murder of Tumso Abdurakhmanov in Sweden was reported by his associates. The son of the President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Aslan Maskhadov, Anzor, who had previously confirmed the information about the death of the blogger, said on the night of December 6 that he was not completely sure of the reliability of his sources. Shamil Albakov, a member of the Assembly of Chechens in Europe , hopes that an operation by the Swedish special services is behind Tumso's disappearance.

On December 1, unconfirmed reports about the murder of Abduramkhanov in Sweden circulated on the Internet, but representatives of the Vayfond association and the Assembly of Chechens of Europe noted that these publications did not look reliable. The Swedish police and Abdurakhmanov's lawyer declined to comment on his death.

According to human rights activist Alexander Cherkasov, it is impossible to comment on the rumors about the murder of Abdurakhmanov without confirmed information, but Chechen political emigrants in Europe have been killed for more than a decade and the European authorities  do not perceive the threat to their lives as a systemic one .

Employees of the Swedish-based Chechen human rights association Vayfond noted that not only Tumso and Mohamad (also referred to in the media as Mokhmad) Abdurakhmanov, but also their immediate family members, have disappeared, or rather, do not answer phone calls, Deutsche Welle reported.

At the same time, the human rights organization added that none of its members were at the home of the Tumso brothers or Mohamad Abdurakhmanov, since "no one knows where they live to go and check," the material says.

In Germany, the police authorities have not yet responded to the publication's request for the location or condition of Mohamad Abdurakhmanov, who is under the protection of the German security authorities. His lawyer Johanna Kühne did not respond to the publication's request, according to a publication  dated December 5.

COMPANION OF ABDURAKHMANOV QUESTIONED THE VERACITY OF INFORMATION ABOUT HIS DEATH
Information about the assassination attempt on Tumso Abdurakhmanov looks true, but the murder could not have taken place, said the chairman of the political movement of the Chechen diaspora "Unified Force" Dzhambulat Suleymanov.

He stressed that the Telegram channel opposed to the authorities of Chechnya, which reported that the death of Tumso Abdurakhmanov was confirmed, did not indicate the sources of information, follows from the video. published today in the Telegram channel "Nokhchiin Ghulam".

Emigrants opposed to the Chechen authorities are in danger, Suleimanov said. “Just the day before, I was informed that a group of killers was operating in Europe, the purpose of which were Chechen activists and politicians. The list of alleged victims includes the Yangulbaev brothers, Anzor Maskhadov, myself and several other people,” Kavkaz.Realii quoted him as saying on December 5."

Ibragim Yangulbaev, put on the federal wanted list in the case of justifying terrorism, Rosfinmonitoring included him in the register of extremists and terrorists, on November 22, Baysangur Yaglubaev was included in the same list . On March 30, it became known that investigators in Chechnya refused to investigate threats to the Yangulbaev family.

In February 2020, Ibragim and Baysangur Yangulbaev left for Europe. Details about the conflict between Kadyrov and the Yangulbaevs are given in the references of the "Caucasian Knot" " How the Yangulbaevs became enemies of Kadyrov " and " The main thing about the struggle between the Kadyrovites and the Yangulbaevs."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
No, Iran didn’t ban morality police — it duped press, and Biden administration
[NYPOST] For a few hours this past weekend, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism pulled off a global disinformation operation to undermine a popular revolt, falsely suggesting the regime in Tehran had moderated its position on women’s rights.

The truth: Iranian women are still subject to the oppression of a radical theocracy in Tehran, millions of Iranians want to see an end to the Islamic Republic of Iran and President Joe Biden needs to finally pick a side.

How did it happen? More than 11 weeks ago, the brutal killing of a young woman arrested for not properly wearing an Islamic head-covering set off what increasingly appears to be a national revolution in Iran — with more than 1,800 protests documented around the country and more on the way despite hundreds already murdered and thousands more detained by the regime.

Knowing that underground activists were urging a three-day national strike this week, state media ran a series of quotes from Iran’s chief prosecutor, which sent mixed signals about whether the mullahs would continue cracking down on women who do not wear a hijab according to the regime’s religious specifications.

By Sunday morning in the United States, the New York Times sent a breaking news alert declaring that Iran had abolished its so-called morality police. The Wall Street Journal soon followed. On CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Margaret Brennan opened her interview with Secretary of State Antony Blinken saying, “I want to start with some breaking news overnight out of Iran: They have abolished the morality police.”

Within minutes of the Sunday’s breaking news, Persian-speaking reporters took to Twitter to expose the regime’s gambit. Iran’s state television and its official Arabic-language channel soon denied the reports. A few hours later, Reuters filed a more carefully crafted story, clarifying that there was “no confirmation of the closure from the Interior Ministry which is in charge of the morality police” and that the chief prosecutor “was not responsible for overseeing the force.” Other outlets would soon follow.

As of today, the regime in Tehran has yet to pull back on a single element of its brutality and repression — whether it be targeted at women or millions of other Iranians, including minors.

Based on the convoluted statement of one official in a regime that bans all basic freedoms, including freedom of the press, Western reporters and editors irresponsibly pushed a misleading narrative designed by Tehran to undermine the people in the streets demanding freedom.

Fortunately, the ruse didn’t work. Thousands of businesses around Iran are now closed. Workers are on strike. Students are bringing upheaval to their schools. More and more people are joining the revolt.

Media criticism in this case is warranted, with the need to reassess how newsrooms cover deceitful and repressive dictatorships like Iran. But coverage of the Biden administration’s Iran policy must improve as well. The White House and State Department are trying to have it both ways — claiming support for the people of Iran while holding the door open to an economic bailout for their oppressors.

Blinken expressed solidarity with the protesters during his CBS interview Sunday. But in a separate appearance on CNN, Blinken was asked if nuclear negotiations with Iran were still ongoing. His response? “We continue to believe that ultimately diplomacy is the most effective way to deal with this, but that’s not where the focus is.”

In other words, an appeasement pact that would generate $274 billion for the regime in its first year — $1 trillion by 2030 — remains on the table for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to accept at a time of his choosing. Contrary to Biden’s pre-election declaration that he would “free Iran,” Blinken’s comment signals a willingness to sacrifice the Iranian people if their oppressors would agree to delay a nuclear weapon by a few short years — ignoring other potential options to achieve the same goal without paying Tehran’s extortion racket.

#2  News reports commonly report the Morality Police was founded in 2006. However, its history is much older. In 1936 the deposed Shah's father banned veils, and police would beat women who wore them. With the Islamist revolution, the Ayatollah Khomeini changed all that and officially declared that the Islamic dress code was now the law of the land. The Morality Police of 2006 is just the latest iteration of a traditional Islamic theology imposed nearly a half-century ago.

#3  The question is whether MSM was duped or complicit. Either way would be no surprise. It isn't even much of a question with the Biden Administration. Past experience shows the Obama/Biden people are complicit with anything the Mad Mullahs want to do.
