Gen. Dostum urged to lead operation against ISIS loyalists in Nangarhar
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
was urged to lead an operation against the loyalists of the Islamic State

province, similarly as he led operations in northern provinces.

The call was made by Fazal Hadi Moslemyar, the Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament -- Meshrano Jirga.

Speaking during a session of Meshrano Jirga on Sunday, Moslemyar expressed concern
...meaning the brow was mildly wrinkled, the eyebrows drawn slightly together, and a thoughtful expression assumed, not that anything was actually done or indeed that any thought was actually expended...
s regarding regarding the deteriorating security situation of Nangarhar and growing activities by Daesh affiliates in this province.

Criticizing the government's lack of attention on deteriorating situation of Nangarhar, Moslemyar called for an immediate action to rescue the residents of this province.

He said the residents of Nangarhar province have been suffering during the past six months and promised to stand with Gern. Dostum as a brother to lead operations against the anti-government armed murderous Moslems and Daesh loyalists.

Moslemyar also insisted that the operations led by Gen. Dostum in northern Faryab and Sar-e-Pul provinces were effective, rejecting earlier reports the operations failed to tackle the Taliban and foreign krazed killers.

The remarks by Moslemyar comes as insurgency activities by Daesh loyalists have been rampant in parts of Nangarhar province and along the Durand Line where new reports have emerged that the terror group has established private prisons in these areas where 127 people, mostly members of the Afghan forces and tribal elders have been held as detainees.

Egypt said to renew diplomatic relations with Assad

, Moslem Brüderbund and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
drive Cairo, Damascus closer together

Egypt is renewing diplomatic relations with the Assad regime, Arab world media has reported.

The move comes as Russian troops rush to Syria to aid embattled Syrian leader Bashir al-Assad in what the US and other Western powers fear could mean a further escalation of the country's civil war, which has claimed over 250,000 lives in 4.5 years.

Gen. Ali Mamlouk, a top security adviser to Assad, was in Cairo two weeks ago for meetings with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi and security bigshots, according to the Israeli daily Haaretz, which cited Arab reports.

The Assad regime and Cairo share a fight against Islamic State, a major element in the anti-Assad rebellion since 2014 and a growing presence in the Sinai Peninsula, where an ongoing battle between Egyptian security forces and an Islamic State affiliate has claimed the lives of dozens of troops in recent months.

Mamlouk and his Egyptian counterparts reportedly discussed the fight against Islamic State, and against other Islamist factions, including the Moslem Brüderbund, which controlled Egypt's government until it was ousted by Sissi in June 2013.

Both sides also see Turkey's Islamist president Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
as an opponent.

Egyptian sources told Haaretz that the country's military echelons have always seen the Assad government as a partner, and that relations between the capitals soured under the Moslem Brüderbund government.

Mamlouk has also reportedly visited Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and Oman for talks on the ongoing civil war.

Algeria leader replaces powerful intelligence chief
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika
... 10th president-for-life of Algeria. He was elected in 1999 and is currently on his third or fourth term. Maybe it's the fifth....
has replaced his powerful intelligence chief, a security source said on Sunday, in the latest move in a shake-up of the country's security forces.

General Mohammed Mediene, better known as Toufik, had held the post for 25 years before being replaced by his deputy, General Bachir Tartag, the source said.

The announcement came a day after Bouteflika's chief of staff confirmed the arrest last month of the former head of counter-terrorism.

Analysts said Mediene, chief of the DRS intelligence service, had long played the role of political kingmaker by seeking to influence leadership choices in Algeria's behind-the-scenes power struggles.

Bouteflika began easing the military and its DRS intelligence wing out of the political sphere before his re-election last April, analysts said, in preparation for his eventual departure after more than 15 years in power.

Iran: Riyadh negligence caused Mecca incident: Iran's Larijani
[Iran Press TV] The speaker of Iran's parliament (Majlis) has blamed Riyadh for its "negligence" in a deadly crane collapse in Soddy Arabia

The Saudi government failed to employ "appropriate measures" to save the lives of the Hajj pilgrims and "caused the incident with its negligence," Ali Larijani said in a Sunday message of condolence to the families of the victims of the recent accident

Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced that the number of Iranian pilgrims killed in the Mecca crane accident has increased to eight. According to reports, 32 Iranians have also been maimed in the incident, while three others are still missing.

Europe
Salafists aim propaganda at young refugees in Europe
Muslim radicals in Germany are trying to recruit some of the growing numbers of asylum seekers reaching the country, according to intelligence services quoted by the German news agency DPA.

The Islamic extremists "are trying to approach the young unaccompanied refugees, who arrive in our country without their families and are particularly looking for contacts and support," a spokesman for the intelligence service in the southern state of Bavaria told DPA.

He said many of the youths are approached around reception centres but also at Munich railway station where many of the asylum seekers have arrived from Hungary and Austria in recent days. The Islamic extremists "want to take advantage of the insecurity and distress of the refugees," he said.
And the fact that tens and tens of thousands of the refugees are hard boyz...
On Tuesday, the intelligence services in North Rhine-Westphalia reported similar contacts in their region, noting that Islamic radicals were approaching asylum seekers through fake charities.

"We are going to inform the employees of the reception centres and make them aware of this situation and the methods used for these attempts to approach" the young refugees, said a spokesman in the state, also quoted by DPA.

Under the quota system in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria are the two regions that receive the most asylum seekers, with 21 percent and 15 percent respectively.

Germany expects to receive 800,000 asylum seekers this year, four times more than last year. Syrians, who are fleeing their war-torn country, form the largest group.
The Syrian hard boyz are not fleeing. They're advancing...

Germany to reinstate border controls
Longer piece at AFP if you want details.
• Germany reinstates border controls
• Move breaches EU's open-borders Schengen agreement
• Interior minister says refugees cannot simply choose EU country to protect them
• German rail says trains to and from Austria halted for 12 hours
• Germany to send 2,000 riot police down to Bavaria
Will any of this stop people from walking across the fields and through the woods to cross borders away from the guarded points?
• 10,000 refugees arrive in Austria in last 24 hours
Complete with obligatory woman and child pic at the web site, and no mention of the tens of thousands of young, virile, strong, tough stormtroopers men coming into their countries.

A gentle suggestion: round up the hard boyz, send them to separate refugee centers, and give them a choice: accept conscription into the new EU Foreign Legion and, after suitable training, return to Syria to fight for their country, or board a plane for a one way trip to Mauritania.

#1  Of course this will not stop the flow, maybe slow it down somewhat. This is little more than a message to the rest of Europe.

I'd personally know a hundred ways to cross freely between Austria and Germany.

we simply can't have daily trains with 10000 refugees arriving at Munich Central Station. Oktoberfest will start on Saturday.

#15  I do make a sharp distinction between humans and religion. Most Muslims actually are Muslims like Christians are Christians: There were just born this way.

Once religion turns into a fanatic cult, humans adhering to this cult become a problem.

Most people arriving in Munich actually fled from islamism Pol Pot style. And just because you are a young man doesn't mean that you come with the intention to blow something up. Those who I have met want to study, to work, to contribute, they don't want to be a burden on society.

Of course EU refugee policy is deeply flawed. The problem is, a Syrian arriving in Germany is still a refugee, but he's actually "lost" the political part of his refugee status because he has traveled through several "safe" states. These refugees want to come to Germany because they think they have more opportunities to make it here than in Hungary or Greece.

I'd actually prefer to help Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon to accommodate the Syrian refugees in the region. We also need to shame the rich Gulf states into taking their share.

The EU could set up a plan to allow (some) of those refugees into the EU, those who are qualified, those who can be an asset, all this after careful vetting.

Merkel's refugee policy is not the way to go. I can see 100000 or 200000 qualified refugees as an asset, but not millions.

Turkey's top cleric condemns Israel for 'occupying' Al-Aqsa
[Hurriyet Daily News] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's top holy man has condemned Israel for what he called as "occupation" of Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa mosque compound, which was a scene to brief festivities between Israeli police and Paleostinian protesters, raising tensions in the holy city ahead of the Jewish New Year.

"The Israeli intervention at the Masjid al-Aqsa, which is among the three most scared temples of Moslems, that started in the morning prayer time cannot be accepted. I strongly condemn the occupation of the Masjid al-Aqsa by a violation of temple inviolability which is accepted by all religions and civilizations," Mehmet Görmez, the head of Turkey's Directorate General of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), said in a written statement released on Sept. 13.

Earlier in the day, Moslem witnesses told Agence La Belle France-Presse police had entered the mosque and caused damage. Israeli police only said they closed the doors to the mosque to lock in rioters throwing stones, fireworks and other objects. Authorities have used the same tactic, which has seen them briefly enter, in the past in a bid to restore calm. According to police, the rioters had barricaded themselves in the mosque overnight with the aim of disrupting visits by Jews to the site ahead of the start of New Year celebrations on Sept. 13 evening.

"Before the incidents reach dimensions that cannot be prevented, occupiers should immediately back down from this dire attempt; the Masjid al-Aqsa should be opened in any case, and all kinds of desires for division and occupation should be given up forever," Görmez said.

It is true that some among the Muslim immigrants wish to assimilate. But they are largely deterred by the community's iron enforcement of community cohesion. That's what 'honor killings' are about.

Three-day anti-polio drive starts in Balochistan on Monday
[DAWN] Amid tight security, a three-day anti-polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
drive would be launched in Quetta and other 31 districts of Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
on Monday (tomorrow), while a ban on riding double has been imposed in Quetta in this regard.

During the campaign 2.4 million children below the age of five years would be administered polio drops. This was stated by Minister Health Balochistan, Rehmat Saleh Baloch at Quetta Press Club on Sunday evening.

Rehmat Baloch said the province was taking all necessary measures to improve the quality of the anti-polio campaign to achieve the target set under National Emergency Action Plan (NEAP).

Iraq
Sadr calls for release of Turkish hostages
[ARABNEWS] Iraq's powerful Shiite holy man Moqtada Sadr has condemned the kidnapping of 18 Turkish workers in Baghdad last week and said he was ready to assist the government in securing their release.

Sadr's message follows a similar statement by top Shiite holy man Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, who called for the Turkish hostages to be released.

The Turks, who work for a construction company owned by Nurol Holding, appeared in a video on Friday under a Shiite slogan, but it was not clear if the kidnappers belonged to an established group.

The captors threatened to attack Turkish interests in Iraq unless Ankara met its demands, which included stopping the passage of bully boyz from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
to Iraq.

Sadr's opinion holds sway over tens of thousands of followers. Fighters loyal to him once controlled swathes of Baghdad and helped defend the capital after Daesh swept across the Syrian border in June 2014.

"In my name and the name of all lovers of peace and Islam, I demand their release no matter the political or financial motives or other conflicts, and regardless of who the kidnapper was," Sadr said of the Turkish hostages in a message to followers posted online on Saturday.

Philippines: MILF threatens end to decommissioning
[AA.TR] The Philippines' one time largest Moro rebel group has issued a statement threatening to halt any further decommissioning of its arms if a watered-down version of a law that seals peace with the government in the Moslem south is passed.

In an editorial posted on its official website, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front said "For sure, the MILF will reject it outright, and worse the various aspects of the normalization process including decommissioning of its weapons (and combatants) will come to a halt."

"Likewise, we do not know if the various mechanisms including the international bodies [that have been overseeing the grinding of the peace processor] will continue to stay," it added.

In June, Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. - the son of Ferdinand Marcos, who ruled the Philippines for 21 years - rejected the original bill, saying it was unconstitutional, and will "lead us to perdition."

He presented a substitute bill to Congress in August, of which around 80 percent had been amended by his committee, with 115 "major and minor" changes.

The bill is now undergoing plenary deliberations both in the Senate and House of Representatives.

Decommissioning is among the raft of measures agreed upon in the Comprehensive Agreement of the Bangsamoro -- signed by the MILF and government on March 27, 2014 -- which brings to a close 17 years of negotiations and ends a decades-old armed conflict on Mindanao island, while granting Moslem areas greater political autonomy.

Philippines: MILF claims wanted militant killed by aide
[AA.TR] Members of the Philippines' one-time largest rebel group, which was implicated in a raid that left 44 police commandos dead, have questioned the official account of how a most wanted bully boy was killed in the incident.

According to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) investigation into the Jan. 25 Mamasapano incident, Malaysian bomb expert Zulkifli bin Hir -- alias "Marwan" -- was shot in the back of the head, probably while lying face-down on the floor.

The findings of the report, which was submitted to the government in March but never made public, contradict the Special Armed Forces (SAF) account that Marwan was killed after firing on commandos who entered his hut in southern Mamasapano province while he was sleeping.

Russia Building Airstrip in Syria's Latakia, Says Monitor
[AnNahar] Russia is building an airstrip in the Syrian regime's stronghold Latakia province, and has brought hundreds of technicians and military advisers to the site, a monitor said Sunday.

The claim comes as Washington accuses Moscow of a military build-up in Syria, where Russia has backed Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Before going into the family business Pencilneck was an eye doctor. If he'd stuck with it he'd have had a good practice by now...
's regime against an uprising of more than four years.

"Russian forces are building a long runway capable of accommodating large aircraft near the Hmaymeen military airport in Latakia province," the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The monitor, which relies on a network of civilian, military and medical sources inside Syria, said "the Russians are preventing Syrians, whether military or civilian, from entering the area where they are building the runway."

"In recent weeks, military airplanes arrived in Hmaymeen carrying military equipment and hundreds of Russian military advisers and technicians," the group said.

Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said sources also reported that Russia was enlarging the Hamadiyeh airport in Tartus province, another regime stronghold that is south of Latakia.

The airport is currently used by aircraft that spray crops with pesticide.

Russia is a staunch ally of the regime in Damascus and maintains a naval facility in Tartus province.

It has made no secret of its support for Assad's government, including continuing weapons supplies, but has rejected claims of a recent military build-up inside Syria.

But U.S. officials this week said two tank-landing ships had arrived recently at the Tartus base, and that at least four transport flights had landed an airport in Latakia.

They also reported the arrival of dozens of Russian naval infantry and the installation of temporary housing sufficient for "hundreds of people" at Latakia airport, along with portable air traffic control equipment.

On Friday, Cypriot officials said Russia had issued an alert for Cyprus to divert aircraft next week because it is planning military exercises off the Syrian coast.
The Times of Israel adds:
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported earlier this week, quoting a former Lebanese general with knowledge of the Syrian military, that there were plans to build a military base in the coastal town of Jableh, more than 20 kilometers south of Latakia city. It is where the airport currently under development is located.

The airport, known by its old name Hemeimeem, already houses a military base, and has come under shelling from Lions of Islam who have advanced in the countryside of the province.

It is the second most important government controlled airport in Syria after Damascus airport. The Hemeimeem airport was renamed the Basel al-Assad International airport, after the brother of the current president, who died in a car accident in 1994. According to the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority website, the airport's tarmac is currently 2,800 meters (3,000 yards) long and 45 meters (49 yards) wide. It only has one terminal, according to the site.

Zawahri urges lone wolf attacks in Western states
[Beirut Daily Star] Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri called on young Moslem men in the United States and other Western countries to carry out attacks inside there and urged greater unity between turbans.

"I call on all Moslems who can harm the countries of the crusader coalition not to hesitate. We must now focus on moving the war to the heart of the homes and cities of the crusader West and specifically America," Zawahri said in an audio recording posted online Sunday, referring to nations making up the Western-led coalition in Iraq and Syria.

He suggested Moslem youth in the West take the Tsarnaev and Kouachi brothers, who carried out the Boston marathon bombings and Charlie Hebdo
...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe...
shootings in Gay Paree respectively, and others as examples to follow.

It was not clear when the recording was made but references to ex-Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar as being alive suggest it is at least 2 months old. Omar's death was announced by Afghanistan's government in late July.

Zawahri reiterated his position on ISIS, repeating what he said in a recording posted Wednesday -- that he viewed the group's claim to be a caliphate as illegitimate but would join them in fighting Western and secular forces in Iraq and Syria.

#1  IIRC WORLD NEWS, BIGNEWSNETWORK > [Press TV] US WANTS TO "MANAGE" THE ISIS, NOT DEFEAT THEM - ANALYSTS.

Wehell, hard for me to blame Ayman-the-Z-Man for self-destructive US Policies, of which US failure or refusal to destroy the ISIS/ISIL is just the latest in a long long line of Fed = National decisions.

As a reminder, 1990's CLINTONISM = "D *** NG IT, GOOD AMERIKANS DEMAND THEIR RIGHT TO COMMIT SELF-SUICIDE IN THE NAME OF OUR SACRED NATIONAL COMMUNISM - YOU KNOW, FASCISM".

But I digress ...
