US Military Charter Plane Forced to Land In Iran By Fighter Jets
An aircraft chartered by coalition forces in Afghanistan, en route from Bagram air base to Dubai, landed Friday in Bandar Abbas, Iran, after Iranian officials questioned its flight plan, U.S. officials said.

The plane had been contacted by Iranian air traffic controllers, who instructed it to return to Afghanistan and file the correct plan. When the pilots informed the Iranians they did not have enough fuel to return to Bagram, they were asked to land.

One official said Iranian fighter jets had escorted the plane, which was carrying approximately 100 Americans and possibly a pair of Canadians, to the ground. Other officials denied that, and said the plane landed on its own. It was expected to resume its flight quickly.

The plane was chartered from Fly Dubai, a company based in the United Arab Emirates.

A spokeswoman for the UAE Embassy in Washington said she was aware of the incident but did not have additional information.
Ynet adds:
A charter aircraft flying from the US airbase at Bagram in Afghanistan to Dubai was re-routed to Bandar Abbas, Iran, on Friday due to "a bureaucratic issue," a US State Department official said.

"A Fly Dubai charter plane flying from Bagram Air Field to Dubai was re-routed to Bandar Abbas, Iran because of a bureaucratic issue today," the official said.

"Contrary to press reports, this plane was not forced down by the Iranian military," the official added. "The issue appears to have been resolved and hopefully the plane will be able to take off soon."
Update at 9 a.m. ET from The Times of Israel:
The plane was allowed to depart after spending several hours on the ground in southern Iran. The State Department later confirmed that it had landed in Dubai.

“We appreciate the efforts of all parties to help the passengers get safely to their destination,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said in a statement. She described the problem as a “bureaucratic issue” with the plane’s flight plan.
Whew! That could've gotten ugly.

Shabab Chief Confirmed Killed In Bombing Raid In Somalia, US Says
[IsraelTimes] The United States said Friday it had killed the chief of Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
turbans in a bombing raid in Somalia, touting it as a model for an assault on Islamic State jihadists.

The Pentagon confirmed that Ahmed Abdi Godane perished in the attack on Monday in which US drones and manned aircraft rained Hellfire missiles and laser-guided bombs on a gathering of Shabaab commanders.

Godane had boasted that Shabaab was behind the siege at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi last year, which killed at least 67 shoppers, staff and security personnel.

President Barack Obama

summit, seized on the results of the strike to give definition to his separate effort to combat another radical Moslem murderous Moslem group, Islamic State (IS), following days of criticism over his anti-terror strategy.

"We are going to degrade and ultimately defeat (IS), the same way that we have gone after Al-Qaeda, the same way we have gone after the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia," Obama said.

"We released today the fact that we have killed the leader of Al-Shabaab in Somalia and have consistently worked to degrade their operations."

Obama has been under fire for admitting last week he did not yet have a strategy to combat IS in Syria, and has employed imprecise language about US goals -- before settling Friday on the phrase "degrade and defeat."

The killing of Godane allowed the president to fold the fight against Islamic State into what the White House says is a wider strategy to combat Islamic extremism, which has included efforts to take out leaders of holy warrior groups.

The Pentagon previously announced the raid in Somalia but had been unable to confirm Godane's death before Friday.

Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud thanked the United States, and called on Shabaab fighters to lay down their weapons.

He also offered Shabaab fighters a 45-day amnesty, calling on them to lay down their arms and renounce ties with Al-Qaeda.

"One of the main pillars of the Somali war has gone, so there is no reason for Somalia's youth to continue with a war when its days are numbered," he said.

Shabaab have refused to confirm or deny their leader's death.

White House front man Josh Earnest said Godane's demise represented "a major symbolic and operational loss to the largest Al-Qaeda affiliate in Africa and reflects years of painstaking work by our intelligence, military and law enforcement professionals."

US officials did not specify how Godane's death was confirmed, but in similar cases in the past, US intelligence agencies have tested DNA samples and used information gleaned from eavesdropping.

The State Department had listed Godane as one of the world's eight top terror runaways and analysts said his death marks a crippling setback for Shabaab.

"It is too soon to declare the demise of Al-Shabaab, but the group will now face difficult decisions about how to replace a brutal but effective leader," said Joe Temin of the US Institute for Peace.

A top US intelligence official said there was no obvious successor in the waiting.

"He was a strong leader of Al-Shabaab... and had basically taken care of rivals pretty effectively," said Matthew Olsen, director of the US National Counter-Terrorism Center.

The group is deeply divided and "there are a number of potential candidates" who could succeed Godane, Olsen told news hounds.

Godane, 37, who reportedly trained in Afghanistan with the Taliban, took over the group in 2008 after then chief Adan Hashi Ayro was killed by a US missile strike.

Godane had overseen the group's transformation from local insurgency to major regional guerrilla threat, after eliminating his fellow Shabaab rivals.

Under pressure in Somalia from African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
forces and having lost territory in the past three years, Godane had shifted the group's focus from a mainly nationalist agenda to one espousing global jihad.

US officials vowed no let-up in the fight against Shabaab, which under Godane had forged an alliance with Al-Qaeda.

It will be crucial to "keep up the pressure," Olsen said.

Even with Godane gone, the group still had a "cadre of people" capable of planning terror attacks, according to Nicholas Rasmussen, deputy director of the National Counter-Terrorism Center.

Egyptian Militants Being Guided By ISIS Leaders
[Ynet] Ansar Bait al-Maqdis krazed killer in Sinai says Islamic State helps the group, responsible for multiple attacks in Israel, by teaching the element of surprise and how to evade capture.

Islamic State, fighting to redraw the map of the Middle East, has been coaching Egypt's most dangerous krazed killer group, complicating efforts to stabilize the biggest Arab nation.

Confirmation that Islamic Sate, currently the most successful of the region's jihadi groups, is extending its influence to Egypt will sound alarm bells in Cairo, where the authorities are already facing a security challenge from home-grown krazed killers.

Reports of Sudanese plane in Kufra with arms for Libya Dawm not true says local military leader
[Libya Herald] The Military Council in Kufra is reported to have denied that a Sudanese military aircraft which landed today at midday at the south eastern oasis town's airport was heading to Mitiga with a load of arms for Libya Dawn

forces.

The Libyan new agency LANA quoted Colonel Suleiman Hamed Hassan, the head of the council and of the Libyan-Sudanese Joint boder control force, saying that the shipment was destined for use by the Libya army in the border zone and was known about before the plane arrived. Allegations that the plane had to make an emergency landing were also untrue, he said.

Media reports that the plane's shipment had been confiscated by the Military Council are seen as reflecting a growing concern about Sudan's position on the political crisis in Libya.

Nuri Abu Sahmain, the head of Congress was in Khartoum on an official visit until Tuesday. Sudan's Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Karti has said his country is willing to act as a mediator between Libya's factions.

Embassy rejects Abu Sahmain's order to close
[Libya Herald] The Libyan embassy in the UAE has dismissed an order from Nuri Abu Sahmain, the head of the former General National Congress, to close.

Earlier this this week, Nuri Abu Sahmain, who claims to still be Libya's commander-in-chief and effective head of state, ordered the Libyan embassies in Egypt and the UAE to close because of the two countries' alleged involvement in bombing raids last month against Operation Libya Dawn
...aka Fajr Libya, the Islamist operation launched to counter that of General Khalifa Haftar (Operation Dignity). In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the Libyan Ambassador to the UAE, Aref Al-Nayad, expressed surprise at the instruction, saying that such orders had no validity. The House of Representatives was the only legitimate legislature in the country, he declared. The embassy took its instructions from it and the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni with whom it was in constant contact.

The Libyan embassy in Cairo has ignored the demand.

Earlier, Abu Sahmain "sacked" Libya's UN representative, Ibrahim Al-Dabashi. He too has ignored the order.

Calm returns to Sebha following sporadic clashes
[Libya Herald] Brief festivities have come to an end with calm restored in Sebha over the last 24 hours following sporadic violence in some areas of the town.

The fighting began on Wednesday night and lasted until Thursday morning after Misratan troops from Libya Central Shield
...an element of the larger Qaeda-linked Libya Shield Force. I think it's the one in the middle...
along with members of the Awlad Suleiman tribe set up a checkpoint in Al-Nasreya road, a majority Tebu area, a local resident told the Libya Herald.

The Third Force of Misratans arrived in Sebha at the beginning of the year to act as a buffer between the Awlad Suleiman and Tebu who were involved in protracted conflict that simmered for months before erupting in weeks of mortar exchanges and running shootouts.

Residents of Al-Nasreya road forced the checkpoint guards to leave. There was some gunfire but it was done largely without incident and with no casualties, this newspaper was told.

The worst violence of the night occurred later in the town's Al-Satah district. Clashes erupted between Awlad Suleiman and the Qaddafa tribe in the majority Qaddafa area, allegedly again over the setting up of another checkpoint.

Two combatants, one from either side, were maimed in the fighting but the number of casualties was lower than reported elsewhere.

Sebha has been relatively calm in recent months, unaffected by recent battles in Tripoli

and Benghazi. There are fears, however, that violence could return if Misratan forces use Sebha, where they have been positioned for several months, as a launch pad for a reportedly planned attempts to take over oil and gas facilities in south western Libya.

FG Panel Indicts Modu-Sheriff As Boko Haram Sponsor

lawyer, Mr Femi Falana who threatened to drag the government if it fails to implement the report of the panel which recommended the prosecution of Modu Sheriff and others.

In the statement which quoted portions of the federal government report, the rights lawyer faulted Wednesday's press briefing addressed by the ex-governor where he denied any link or knowing any member of the sect. The statement reads:

"Yesterday (Wednesday), a former governor of Borno state, Mr. Modu Sheriff addressed a presser at Abuja where he attempted to play on the collective intelligence of Nigerians by denying any link with the dreaded Boko Haram sect. He was apparently reacting to his indictment by Rev Stephen Davis, the international negotiator engaged by the federal government to dialogue with the Boko Haram sect to secure the release of the kidnapped Chibok girls.

"In his presser Mr. Sheriff claimed that he only met the late Mohammed Yussuf, the leader of the Boko Haram sect after he had been incarcerated

by the army. As the Chief Security Officer in Borno State at the material time the ex-governor should open up on the circumstances of the extra judicial killing of Muhammed Yusuff and his father-in-law, Alhaji Kuba. More importantly, Mr. Sheriff should explain to Nigerians the basis of the appointment of Alhaji Buji Foi, a boko haram leader as the Commissioner of Religions Affairs in Borno State.

He resigned from the Sheriff government and before joining the Boko Haram sect. He too was extra-judicially killed after his arrest by the soldiers.

"Findings:

The Report traced the origin of private militias in Borno State in particular, of which Boko Haram is an offshoot, to politicians who set them up in the run-up to the 2003 general elections. The militias were allegedly armed and used extensively as political thugs. After the elections and having achieved their primary purpose, the politicians left the militias to their fate since they could not continue funding and keeping them employed. With no visible means of sustenance, some of the militias gravitated towards religious extremism, the type offered by Mohammed Yusuf.

Tens of thousands of Zaidi Iranian catspaws, also known as Huthis or Ansarullah, gathered with supporters for the weekly Friday prayers along the airport road, where they have been demonstrating for weeks.

After the prayers, organizers called for further action against the government, which the Huthis accuse of corruption and whose resignation they have been demanding.

Fazlullah has joined hands with killers of Taliban, says splinter group
[DAWN] The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain and its splinter group Jamaatul Ahrar
...a splinter group of the Pak Taliban led by Maulana Qasim Khurasani. The group has pledged allegiance to Mullah Omar and has agreed to follow his ideology, such as it is. It's probably the latest incarnation of the splinter group Ahrarul Hind since Khurasani used to head that group...

...son-in-law of holy man Sufi Mohammad. Known as Mullah FM, Fazlullah had the habit of grabbing his FM mike when the mood struck him and bellowing forth sermons. Sufi suckered the Pak govt into imposing Shariah on the Swat Valley and then stepped aside whilst Fazlullah and his Talibs imposed a reign of terror on the populace like they hadn't seen before, at least not for a thousand years or so. For some reason the Pak intel services were never able to locate his transmitter, much less bomb it. After ruling the place like a conquered province for a year or so, Fazlullah's Talibs began gobbling up more territory as they pushed toward Islamabad, at which point as a matter of self-preservation the Mighty Pak Army threw them out and chased them into Afghanistan...
of joining hands with people involved in the killing of krazed killer commanders.

In a statement on Thursday, JA front man Ehsanullah Ehsan
...formerly the front man for the Pak Taliban, now the lips and tongue of the Jamaatul Ahrar splinter group in Mohmand Agency...
said those who were involved in the killing of TTP commanders Nadeem Abbas, Asmatullah Shaheen Bhittani
...a Pashtun tribe centered on Jandola, in Tank district. They are the hereditary enemies of the Mehsuds, unless there are furriners or infidels around, in which case they share ammunition and targeting data...
, Tariq Mansoor and 200 fighters of the Mehsud tribe were now sitting beside Fazlullah.

Ehsan, who earlier served as central front man for the TTP, said that being head of his group Fazlullah should bring the killers to "justice".

He said the TTP chief lacked qualities of a good leader, which had resulted in the killing of many commanders.

The JA front man said the Fazlullah-led TTP group "now comprised only a few people".

He said that Fazlullah had no authority to expel Umar Khalid Khurasani
...intel chief of the Jamaatul Ahrar TTP splinter group, or whatever it's calling itself these days...
of Mohmand Agency
... Named for the Mohmand clan of the Sarban Pahstuns, a truculent, quarrelsome lot. In Pakistain, the Mohmands infest their eponymous Agency, metastasizing as far as the plains of Peshawar, Charsadda, and Mardan. from TTP. Khurasani was now an active member of JA and the group's leadership had the authority to appoint a leader for Mohmand.

He claimed that a majority of Taliban capos had joined JA and the families of both Baitullah Mehsud and Hakimullah Mehsud had become associated with it.

He said JA had expressed allegiance to Mullah Umar and had faith in the leadership qualities of the top leader of Afghan Taliban.

Ehsan said some elements in the Fazlullah-led TTP were hatching conspiracies to drive a wedge between JA and the Afghan Taliban.

The JA front man said that Fazlullah should reveal the names of people who killed Nadeem Abbas alias Inteqami, who was the TTP leader for Rawalpindi, Asmatullah Shaheen and Tariq Mansoor Afridi.

It is the first time that a Taliban-linked group has acknowledged the death of Nadeem Abbas, who beat feet from police custody in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar

in August, 2011, and was reportedly involved in several acts of terrorism.

In 2011, Abbas and another TTP leader Zakim Shah were brought to the Khyber College of Dentistry for treatment. They bravely ran away when being moved back to the central jail in Peshawar.

Asmatullah Shaheen, who was an acting chief of TTP, was killed outside his residence in Miranshah

Ehsan also clarified that JA had no links with the Janud Khurasan group and that Ahrarul Hind had merged with JA. He said a majority of TTP commanders in Malakand division had joined JA.

Punjabi Taliban shift focus to Afghanistan
[DAWN] Punjabi Taliban, an influential myrmidon faction of the Pak Taliban on Friday said it would abandon krazed killer activity inside the country and redirect its energies towards Afghanistan.

The announcement indicates further fragmentation in the umbrella Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), which suffered a setback Thursday when a new bloc declared its split from the group's official leadership.

"We will confine our practical jihadist role to Afghanistan in view of deteriorating situation in the region and internal situation of Pak jihadist movement," Punjabi Taliban chief Ismatullah Muawiya said in a pamphlet faxed to the media, without clarifying further.

Jamatul Ahrar welcomes new Al Qaeda branch

The faction is active in Punjab, Pakistain's wealthiest and most populous province and the political power base of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
and his Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) party.

Muawiya said the faction will operate in Afghanistan under the guidance of Mullah Omar
... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality...
, the spiritual leader of Afghan Taliban, while its activities in Pakistain will be confined to preaching Islam.

"The announcement is a major setback for the TTP as it shows fragmentation is continuing and the organization is fracturing," defence and security analyst Talat Masood told AFP.

"The groups within TTP have not accepted Mullah Fazlullah
...son-in-law of holy man Sufi Mohammad. After ruling the place like a conquered province for a year or so, Fazlullah's Talibs began gobbling up more territory as they pushed toward Islamabad, at which point as a matter of self-preservation the Mighty Pak Army threw them out and chased them into Afghanistan...
, which has caused a serious split in the organization."

Mullah Fazlullah was elected head of the TTP last November following the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike.

A new bloc, named the TTP Jamatul Ahrar (freedom fighters group), announced its split from the group Thursday and named Omar Khalid Khorasani as its commander.

IDF Digs In For Legal Battle Over Gaza Op
[Ynet] In light of upcoming UN report and PA threats to open case against Israel at ICC over Operation Protective Edge, IDF officials seek legal counseling, struggle to verify number of dead in Gazoo.

A jittery Israeli military is gearing up for what could become its next big battle: dealing with UN investigations that could result in war-crimes allegations.

The army has beefed up its legal staff, is conducting internal investigations of its wartime actions and has prepared a detailed PR campaign of satellite photos and video clips -- hoping to persuade the world that its war against Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, was justified.

Iraq
Sec of State Kerry Puts Together New Coalition vs. IS
[Ynet]
Filed under: The Smartest Men In The Room do diplomacy.
America's top diplomatic and defense leaders pressed a core coalition of 10 nations to summon the willpower to go after the Islamic State group in Iraq militarily and financially, and said they must build a plan by the time the UN General Assembly meets in about two weeks.

In a private meeting with the foreign and defense ministers from the United Kingdom, La Belle France, Australia and six other nations,
...prob'ly Germany, Canada, Turkey, Italia, Poland and Denmark, which are mentioned further in the article as having delegates at the meeting...
Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
...there he is, The Second Smartest Man In The Room...
said leaders need a clear strategy and a solid idea about what each country will contribute to the fight. And, while noting that many won't be willing to engage in military strikes, he said they can instead provide intelligence, equipment, ammunition or weapons.

"We have the technology, we have the know-how," Kerry said. "What we need is obviously the willpower to make sure that we are steady and stay at this."

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel,
...and The Third Smartest...
sitting alongside Kerry,
...right there in the very same room! It is thus that lives become complete, my dears...
said the group of 10 nations represents a core coalition that will be needed to face the Death Eater challenge. He said the group can then be expanded.
Could this be ... a Coalition of the Willing?!
The morning meeting was a late addition to the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
summit here, and is part of a broader US strategy to bring more nations into the fight against the Islamic State holy warriors who have taken control of large swaths of northern and western Iraq and across the border into Syria.
Whew! That strategy development was lightning fast -- only a few days ago the president said he had no strategy whatsoever. Betcha its a doozy, whatever it is.
The session, which also included dignitaries from Germany, Canada, Turkey, Italia, Poland and Denmark, focused on the Islamic State group in Iraq, but Kerry said there are obviously "implications about Syria in this" and suggested they could discuss that later in the day.

"We very much hope that people will be as declarative as some of our friends around the table have been in order to be clear about what they're willing to commit, because we must be able to have a plan together by the time we come to (the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
General Assembly)," said Kerry. "We need to have this coalesce."
Oh. They don't have a strategy. I guess this one is going to develop organically.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Shin Bet Sources: 10 Israeli Arabs Joined Islamic State
[IsraelTimes] Ten Israeli Arabs have joined up with the Islamic State to fight in Iraq and Syria, according to reports based on unnamed Shin Bet sources.

According to Israel Hayom, the numbers remain low, but the national security agency is keeping close tabs on those suspected of joining the jihadists for fear they will return to carry out attacks in Israel.

A troubling spike of interest in jihadi groups has been detected, primarily in the al-Nusra Front, but more recently in the Islamic State as well, Israel Hayom reported.

The Mossad, Military Intelligence, and the police are joining the Shin Bet in an effort to track Arab Israelis leaving to fight in Syria. The development is especially worrying for Israel because its security forces expect citizens fighting in Syria to become further radicalized, and to undergo military training. In addition, jihadist groups have tried to glean information about Israel from the Israeli Arab recruits.

In May, the Shin Bet security service announced that an Arab citizen of Israel from the Negev town of Hura was jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
in late April for helping two family members leave Israel, enter Syria, and join the ranks of the Islamic State.

Idris Abu Alqayan, 23, was arrested on April 28 and charged on May 15 with conspiracy to commit a crime and aiding an unlawful exit from the country.

Abu Alqayan, a Salafist, helped plan and pay for his brother Othman's and his cousin Shafiq's trip through Turkey to Syria. With the help of social media, the Shin Bet said, he also assisted the two Israeli citizens to link up with like-minded Islamist fighters in Syria.

Calling the phenomenon of Israeli citizens leaving to fight in Syria alongside the anti-Assad forces "familiar," the Shin Bet said it was the first time citizens from the Negev had taken such actions.

'We Wanted To Kidnap One, We Got Three So We Killed Them'
[Ynet] Kawasmeh, man suspected of funding and organizing kidnapping of Gil-Ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Frenekl, indicted by military court.

The terror cell that kidnapped and murdered the three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank in June intended to only kidnap one Israeli citizen, according to the indictment filed on Thursday against cell commander Hossam Hassan Kawasmeh.

According to the Shin Bet, Hossam Hassan Kawasmeh, who was tossed in the slammer
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
on July 11, organized the June 12 kidnapping and spent some NIS 220,000 ($61,300) on weapons and cars used in the crime.

According to the charge sheet seen by AFP, Kawasmeh was charged in a military court for "transferring enemy funds," carrying out services for an illegal organization (Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,) and "deliberately causing the death" of the three Israelis.

The indictment noted that Kawasmeh had asked and obtained the money from his brother Mahmoud, "a Hamas operative who had been expelled to Gazoo."

Kawasmeh did not tell Mahmoud he intended to use the money to kidnap an Israel citizen, the indictment said, and the brother started procuring the funds. Several months later, Mahmoud sent Hossam the money in four different envelopes through their mother, except for NIS 70,000 that has been transfered in a different manner, the indictment said.

The boys - Eyal Yifrach, Naftali Frenkel and Gil-Ad Shaer - were shot almost immediately after their abduction, and their bodies were discovered on June 30 near to where they were snatched.

According to the indictment, one of the kidnappers, Marwan Kawasmeh, met with cell leader Hossam after the kidnapping and murder, telling him: "We wanted to kidnap one, we kidnapped three. We ran into trouble. We killed them."

The two then headed to pick up Amer Abu Eisha, the second kidnapper, who was waiting in Hebron. But because of the checkpoints the IDF put up that night, they change their minds and headed to Halhul, where the bodies have been dumped.

Hossam and Marwan loaded the bodies to the escape car, and took them to a land owned by Hossam, where they buried them.

Hossam then helped the two kidnappers hide. At first the two tried to hide in holes and caves in the Hebron area. Later, they contacted Hossam once again asking him to arrange for them a place to stay in a mosque.

Israel immediately blamed the deaths on Hamas, which despite initial denials recently took responsibility for the attack. The deaths triggered a massive IDF arrest campaign across the West Bank which preceded the 50-day Gazoo conflict that killed more than 2,100 Paleostinians and 72 Israelis.

According to Paleostinian news agency Ma'an, critics said that despite knowledge of the youth's deaths, the Israeli government withheld the information for weeks as it engaged in a massive arrest campaign across the West Bank that led to the detention of more than 700 individuals unrelated to the crime, while leaving nearly a dozen dead and more than hundred injured in raids and ensuing festivities.
Yes, they did. And thus -- most unfairly, but they are perfidious juices, so they can't help it -- they destroyed Hamas's grand plan for an intidada and coup in the West Bank intended to occur simultaneously with the rain of missiles and the Gaza tunnel mass kidnap/massacre of 10,000. In such wise does Allah demonstrate whose side he is on.
Kawasmeh's two suspected accomplices, Marwan Kawasmeh and Amer Abu Eisha, are still on the lam.

The IDF army destroyed the homes of the latter two on July 1, a day after the teens' bodies were found, Paleostinian witnesses said.

Kawasmeh
The army says the kidnapping was orchestrated by Kawasmeh, a senior Hamas bad boy who sent the other two, both of whom had a history of serving time in prison for their involvement in Hamas, to carry out the abduction.

After the bodies of the three teens were found on his lands, Hossam Kawasmeh was wanted for questioning over his involvement in the abduction and murder.

He planned to escape to Jordan using fake documentation with the aid of his family members in Hebron - Hisham Kawasmeh, 35, Jamil Kawasmeh, 38, and Hamas operative Hassan Kawasmeh, 45.

Kawasmeh was arrested on July 11 in his hiding place in the Shuafat refugee camp in a joint operation of the IDF and Shin Bet.

Hossam Kawasmeh, 40, served time in Israeli jail from 1995 to 2002 for his terror activity in Hamas. Among other things, Kawasmeh was a part of a cell that committed terror bombings. Some of his family members were also involved in major Hamas terror bombings. His brother, Hassin Kawasmeh, is serving a life sentence for his part in a bombing near the International Convention Center in Jerusalem in March 2011 that claimed the life of a British tourist and left dozens of others maimed.

In his investigation, Hossam implicated several other suspects that were later arrested and confessed to their involvement.

Hamas will not give in to Israeli demand: Haniyeh
[Iran Press TV] The Paleostinian resistance movement, Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, has rejected the Israeli regime's demand that the group get disarmed as a condition for removal of a seven-year-old blockade on the war-torn Gazoo Strip.

Senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
said after the Friday's prayers that the Paleostinians' weapons and equipment were not up for negotiations, defending the right to resist against the occupying power.

"We do not call for war, and we do not want war, but if the enemy wants it, we will fight back," said the Paleostinian leader.

Later this month, Paleostinian and Israeli delegations are set to hold indirect talks in Egypt.

Paleostinians have demanded the complete removal of the Israeli siege on the densely-populated sliver as part of any deal.

Tel Aviv, on the other side, demands the disarmament of the Paleostinian group.

Israel's recent war on Gazoo ended on August 26 by an Egyptian-brokered truce, which took effect after Cairo negotiations. The deal stipulates the ease of Israel's blockade as well as the provision of a guarantee that Paleostinian demands will be met.

Save Al-Aqsa from Israel
[ARABNEWS] Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, urged UNESCO on Thursday to take effective steps for protecting Masjid Al-Aqsa -- the third holiest mosque in the world -- from Israeli designs.

Prince Salman made this call during a visit to UNESCO headquarters in Gay Paree before the conclusion of his four-day official visit to La Belle France. The crown prince later returned to Jeddah.

"UNESCO should activate all its international resolutions to protect Al-Aqsa and all other valuable cultural antiquities in Paleostine from Israeli aggression," the crown prince said while praising the organization for giving full membership to Paleostine.

A final communiqué that was issued at the end of the royal visit emphasized the two countries' desire to strengthen their defense cooperation.

in a sting in Thailand have been accused of forging passports that could have been used by transnational crime networks.

Officials from Thailand's Department of Special Investigation, acting on tipoffs from Australian authorities, raided a condominium and a restaurant in Bangkok and arrested two Pak men and two Thai women last Saturday, said the department's director-general police Gen. Chatchawal Suksomjit.

They found a number of fake and stolen passports, visa stamps, passport photos, stolen identification cards, stolen driver's licenses and other documents for more than 40 countries during raids.

Shahzad Nazeer Butt, 46, and Khawaja Rizwan Haleem, 32, will face charges of forging and selling fake passports, which carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

"The suspects we have arrested were working in a syndicate and considered a big dealer who can provide a number of fake passports to clients. Plus, they were wanted by many relevant authorities," Chatchawal said. "These passports could be used by networks that could lead to people smuggling or other serious crimes."

Authorities say passport theft and forgery is a critical problem in Thailand. The issue was highlighted when two passengers on a Malaysian jetliner that went missing on March 8 were found to be traveling with stolen passports obtained from a Thai resort island.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Some Christians Arm As Mideast Perils Mount
[IsraelTimes] Every day around sunset, dozens of residents of Qaa, a small Lebanese Christian village on the border carry their automatic rifles and deploy on surrounding hills, taking up positions and laying ambushes in case Moslem Lions of Islam from neighboring Syria attack.

"We all know that if they come, they will slit our throats for no reason," said one villager as he drove through the streets of Qaa, an assault rifle resting next to him.

For months, Lebanese Christians have watched with dread as other Christians flee Islamic Lions of Islam in Syria and Iraq, fearing their turn will come next. Fears multiplied after murderous Moslems from Syria overran a border town last month, clashing with security forces for days and killing and kidnapping Lebanese soldiers and coppers.

Dozens of British Muslims who went to Syria to join ISIS 'plead to return to UK
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] British jihadis fighting in Syria want to come home after becoming disillusioned with the conflict, it emerged today.

In the last three years, more than 500 radicalised Britons are believed to have headed out to the war-torn country, where Islamist groups are fighting Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Leveler of Latakia...
's forces.

But some of those who signed up to fight have now contacted authorities in Britannia saying they have had enough of the war-zone and want to return home, it was reported today.

A man representing a group of 30 gunnies reportedly contacted King's College London's International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR), telling them his group want to come back.

The men, who went to the region in the hope of toppling President Assad, are reportedly unhappy at having to fight against other rebel factions.

According to The Times, the man told researchers: 'We came to fight the regime and instead we are involved in gang warfare. It's not what we came for but if we go back [to Britannia] we will go to jail.'

The ICSR's Professor Peter Neumann told newspaper: 'The people we have been talking to... want to quit but feel trapped because all the Government is talking about is locking them up for 30 years.'

He believes as many as a fifth of British fighters in the country could be trying to find a way out of their current situation.

He claimed less-hardened jihadists could be used to show would-be recruits that the reality of battle may not match the image presented by ISIS propaganda.

At least 40 of the estimated 250 Britons to have already returned from the region have been locked away

and are now facing trial on terrorism charges.
