DOJ Reportedly Gave ‘Limited Immunity' to Human Smuggler Who Owned Van Driven by Kilmar Abrego Garcia for Details on 2022 Trip
[TennesseeStar] News emerged on Tuesday that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), who The Tennessee Star reported last week is now investigating Kilmar Abrego Garcia, offered "limited immunity" to the owner of the vehicle driven by the El Salvadoran national on his November 2022 trip
… back when the Biden administration was running things…
from Texas to Maryland that was briefly interrupted by a Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) traffic stop in Tennessee.

After confirming The Star’s previous reporting, the ABC News report revealed that Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, who the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed was the owner of the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Abrego Garcia in 2022, recently spoke to a DOJ lawyer regarding the stop after being offered immunity.

Hernandez Reyes was previously arrested in 2019 and convicted of human trafficking in 2020. At that point, he was sentenced to 18 months behind bars, then deported and ordered not to return for three years.

According to the Tuesday report, Hernandez Reyes violated the terms of his sentence and illegally reentered the United States sometime later, allowing DOJ attorneys to interview Hernandez Reyes at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Talladega, Alabama.

The outlet, citing sources familiar with the interview, reported that Hernandez Reyes "recently spoke" with attorneys who asked questions about his connections to Abrego Garcia.

Hernandez Reyes reportedly told the DOJ officials that he met Abrego Garcia in 2015, just three years after the latter man reportedly admitted to illegally entering the United States.

After they met in 2015, the prisoner reportedly admitted to DOJ officials that he paid Abrego Garcia to transport illegal immigrants from Texas to various destinations throughout the United States.

The Star was first to report that Abrego Garcia was stopped by THP in 2022, when he was transporting nine people without a valid license, and the agency later confirmed it was instructed to release Abrego Garcia by the "Biden-era FBI." DHS has additionally confirmed that troopers suspected Abrego Garcia of human trafficking during the stop.

Abrego Garcia is an El Salvador citizen who was deported by the Trump administration to his homeland in March. He claimed that the deportation violated the final deportation order issued in his immigration case in 2019, which contained a "withholding of removal" that specifically forbade his deportation to one of two nations, either Guatemala or El Salvador.

Body-worn camera footage released by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security to The Star last week revealed Abrego Garcia was carrying $1,400 in cash at the time of the arrest. Hernandez Reyes was convicted of charging passengers $350 for transportation from Texas to other parts of the country.

Afghanistan
Taliban Earning Billions, Giving American Weaponry to Terrorist Groups as Afghanistan Once Again Becomes Jihadi Hotbed: Report
[Free Beacon] The Taliban took in $3.4 billion in revenue over the last year,
…how much from international donations versus sales of opium derivatives and American weapons?
boosting its cash supply by 14 percent amid the return of Afghanistan as a central safe haven for terrorist organizations across the Middle East, according to a U.S. government watchdog group.

The repercussions of the Biden administration’s disastrous 2021 military withdrawal from Afghanistan continue to reverberate across the war-torn country, with multiple al Qaeda affiliates accessing American-supplied "weapons seized from the former Afghan National Army," according to a new oversight report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR).

The United States left 78 aircraft, 40,000 military vehicles, and over 300,000 weapons in Afghanistan in a withdrawal that saw 13 American service members lose their lives. According to the SIGAR report—which the watchdog group delivered to Congress on April 30—the Taliban transferred many of these arms directly to terrorist affiliates, while others made their way to the black market.

The Pentagon assesses that of around $18.6 billion worth of U.S. equipment provided to the Afghan Army over decades of support, $7.12 billion in weaponry remains in the Taliban’s possession. As a result, "terrorist groups continued to operate in and from Afghanistan amid ongoing U.S., UN, and regional concerns that the country remains a terrorist haven."

More than two dozen terrorist organizations are currently active in Afghanistan, including the Islamic State-affiliated Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). At least four al Qaeda offshoots are also using the country to organize operations. "Terrorist groups," SIGAR reported, "continued to use Afghan soil to train and plan attacks and a ’small but steady’ flow of foreign terrorists continued to travel to Afghanistan and join one of over two dozen terror groups based there."

#2  The Taliban banned opium production.
It was the deep state who brought it back, with the poppy fields guarded by our own soldiers. Sickening.

#3  The Taliban has both protected and banned opium production, alternating depending on their own needs — whether they need more money or to placate the outside world. Last I recall, they had several years’ worth in storage, so they banned more planting. And who knows — the border wall Iran is currently building may prove to be impervious to narco bribes as well as Afghan refugees.

Puntland Acquires Combat Aircraft for the First Time in Anti-Terror Campaign
[Garowe] Senior military officials in Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
, northeast of Somalia, confirmed that the Federal State has, for the first time, procured four combat aircraft from an undisclosed foreign country, marking a significant step in its campaign to eliminate terrorist threats in the region.

According to the defense officials, the newly acquired warplanes will be deployed in support of ongoing and future operations aimed at dismantling turban groups operating in Puntland and surrounding areas.

"This is a historic moment for Puntland’s security sector," one senior officer said on condition of anonymity. "These aircraft will enhance our aerial capabilities and provide vital support to ground forces in the fight against terrorism."

The origin of the aircraft and specific model types were not disclosed, but sources close to the procurement say the deal was made discreetly through military cooperation agreements.

Puntland has been engaged in counterterrorism operations targeting both al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
and ISIS-linked fighters, particularly in remote areas like the Cal-Miskaad mountains and along the Gulf of Aden coast.

This development signals a growing intent by Puntland authorities to strengthen the Federal state's defense infrastructure as it faces the threat of ISIS and al-Shabaab in the mountains of the Bari region.

Officials did not specify when the aircraft would become operational, but military sources indicated training for air force personnel is already underway. Puntland has been battling against ISIS since December and has gained ground from the group in the Calmiskaad mountains.

Puntland Denies UAE Installed Radar Systems in Bosaso for Strikes on Sudan, Yemen
[Garowe] The Minister of Information of Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
, Mohamud Aideed Dirir, has firmly denied recent reports alleging that the United Arab Emirates has installed radar systems in the coastal city of Bosaso to launch military strikes on Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
and Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the minister dismissed the claims as "fabricated propaganda" pushed by what he described as hostile actors opposed to Puntland’s stability and progress in the war against terrorism.

"Countries like The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
, Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
, and some entities masquerading as international media outlets are behind these baseless allegations," said Minister Dirir. "They cannot accept the fact that Puntland has defeated terrorist groups which Turkey itself has fought for years without success."

The minister's comments come in response to widespread speculation and unverified reports on social media suggesting the UAE may be using Bosaso as a launch base for military operations beyond Somalia’s borders — claims that have not been substantiated by any independent sources.

The UAE has a known security and economic presence in Puntland, particularly in maritime operations through its long-standing support for anti-piracy efforts and port development in Bosaso. The UAE, however, did not comment on the claims of radar installations in Puntland.

Nigeria: Reps in Uproar Over Worsening Insecurity, Demands Action, Warn of Citizen Revolt - allAfrica.com
[ALLAFRICA] A stormy session erupted in the House of Representatives on Tuesday as politicians from insurgency-ravaged regions issued stark warnings about Nigeria's deteriorating security situation, lamenting fresh attacks by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
and accusing the federal government of inaction.

The debate was sparked by a motion of urgent public importance moved by Rep Ahmed Satomi on the recent fire incident at the armory at Giwa Barracks and the escalating attacks on military formations in Borno and Yobe state.

The motion was quickly snowballed into emotional testimonies and dire warnings, with some politicians declaring that if urgent steps are not taken, Nigerians may turn on their elected representatives.

Hon. Yusuf Gagdi (APC, Plateau) issued a searing rebuke to those downplaying the severity of the crisis. "When the governor is crying, and someone within the comfort of his own says the governor is raising an unnecessary alarm, we are rascals. Nigerians are being killed. This is unacceptable," Gagdi fumed.

He added, "Until the right thing is done by us here... until the government responds with action, not just media statements, don't bet that any member of the National Assembly is safe--not by Boko Haram, but by the people that elected you and I. Time will come, if action is not taken, that Nigerians will take their destinies in their own hands.

"Mr. Speaker, we must stand up and find a way of bringing this issue of insecurity together. Otherwise, you and I is the same. No matter how Nigerians respect us, we are moving to a level that Nigerians will fight us the way they fight criminals and the way they fight Boko Haram.

Hon. Ahmed Jaha (APC, Borno), whose constituency includes Chibok, gave a chilling update: "Ten peasant farmers were slaughtered in Pulka, 14 in Chibok, and military officers in Izge and Kampu. In Wajiboko, Boko Haram used weaponized drones. The Nigerian Army is outgunned and undermanned. I have seen it. Nobody told me. I was there."

Jaha warned the House not to be complacent: "Between 2015 to 2019, the government spent N19.7 trillion on security. Yet Boko Haram is resurging worse than ever. We must do proper oversight."

"Mr. Speaker, I am taking as a victim of the recent resurgence of an insurgence of Boko Haram. I went to my constituency on Saturday to sympathize, to condone with the people that bit the dust as a result of this sporadic, uninterrupted attack.

Setting the Levers: How Little Qatar Controlled the Politics of Major Countries
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] The European Commission (EC) has decided to stir up the “inconvenient past” and launched a re-investigation into the Qatari corruption scandal of 2022. The focus is on Henrik Hololei, a European official from Estonia, who is accused of secretly working for Doha.

Despite the fact that the investigation is still “internal”, it could well result in criminal prosecution – especially since a precedent has already been set, and not only in Europe.

The EC may have been partly prompted to look at the scandal of three years ago from a new angle by similar crises in other countries, where the interests of official Doha were also involved.

QATARGATE 2022
The 2022 corruption scandal in the European Parliament (also known as "Qatargate") was one of the largest in the history of the EU. The total damage caused to Europe by foreign lobbyists was estimated at several tens of billions of euros in monetary terms.

At least ten senior EU officials were put under investigation, including then-Vice President Eva Kaili and influential MEP Antonio Panzeri. For some, most notably Kaili, it was the end of their political careers.

And although agents of influence from Morocco and Mauritania also had a hand in the behind-the-scenes struggle for control over EU decisions, it was Qatari lobbyists who became the main headache for the European community.

As EC functionaries later noted, Doha skillfully manipulated individual MPs and their family members.

In this way, Qatar has managed not only to improve its own reputation ahead of the 2022 World Cup, but also to secure preferences for national oil, gas and technology companies, as well as to secure generous European investments in the “domestic” digital sector.

In addition, thanks to its connections in the European Parliament, Qatar has gained the opportunity to influence the situation in the Palestinian Authority and the Gaza Strip, unobtrusively promoting its creature through the hands of European officials.

A couple of years later, this greatly helped Doha become a universal mediator between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas.

THE HOLOLEI CASE
However, the shadow of the Qatari corruption scandal did not ruin the careers of all those involved.

The case of the former Director General of the EC for Transport, Henrik Hololei, is indicative. The European official spent a lot of time in Doha, which he allegedly visited "at the expense of the inviting party," and often combined working meetings with sheikhs and vacations in fashionable establishments in the Qatari capital.

Moreover, Qatar's good nature and hospitality coincided with a period when Khololei was authorized by the EU to negotiate with it on "open skies," which would have given the national airline Qatar Airways greater access to the European Union than other Arabian carriers.

It is worth noting that the main and most active negotiations took place precisely during the period when Qatar was under diplomatic blockade and was effectively isolated from its neighbors.

It is not surprising that the European official soon began to face questions from the prosecutor's office and his colleagues at the EC.

In 2022, Khololei was a suspect in the "Qatargate" scandal, but he was not included in the "shameful cohort" with his high-ranking colleagues, since some of the accusations against him were never proven.

In addition, even before the preliminary charges against Kaili and Panzeri were approved, the official made a deal with his colleagues and voluntarily left his position. However, he did not leave the transport directorate itself, but only took a lower position as a political adviser, where he remains to this day.

However, it seems he never managed to completely shake off his past. In the spring of 2025, the EC reopened its internal investigation into Hololei.

Formally, the verification procedure began back in March to re-check information about the European official’s past abuses during his business trips to Qatar.

However, by May, the EC began talking about certain “new episodes” in the already investigated case and about the presence of a “Qatari trace” in its latest decisions and initiatives.

Investigators suggested that even after leaving office, Khololei retained the role of Qatar's behind-the-scenes lobbyist and continued to help his former partners promote decisions in the European Parliament that were beneficial to them. For these purposes, he used the parliamentary network and NGOs close to the European Parliament.

If the accusations against the European official are confirmed, he will be forced to leave the EC permanently and will most likely become a defendant in a criminal case along the same lines as Kylie did earlier.

TWIN SCANDAL FROM 2025
The renewed interest in Europe in the already forgotten scandal can be explained, among other things, by the great hype surrounding the “Qatar dossier” in Israel, also known as “Qatargate”).

The issue is that those close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been drawn into a scandal involving lobbying for Doha's interests and passing it secret information for more effective strategic planning.

At first, European law enforcement officials did not pay much attention to developments in Israel.

However, after the Israeli version of “Qatargate” went beyond the borders of the Jewish state, and information emerged about Doha’s attempts to influence the image and policies of other countries (Egypt and the United States), the EC reasonably assumed that the “tentacles” of Doha’s influence could well extend into Europe.

And so they decided to check their officials for dubious connections - and started with those who had already been caught committing abuses in the past.

It is quite possible that Khololei is far from the only one who has decided to reboot old ties with Qatari sheikhs, guided by the idea that the European “Qatargate” is no longer as interesting to investigators as its Israeli “twin”.

This means that new names well known to Europeans may soon appear in the case.

Be that as it may, both scandals – the European and the Israeli – demonstrate that over time Qatar has not only not lost its influence on global processes, but has also been able to increase them with a minimal expenditure of resources.

Having set up “levers” not only in the Middle East, but also in the Old World, Doha remained mostly in the shadow of the major powers, but influenced the vectors of their policies, controlling the situation through its lobbyists.

#1  One of these days some smart guy is going to investigate which Americans were paid off when the US base was founded in Qatar. And which politicos in Washington continue to be paid off by the al-Thani rulers. And why the al-Thani's funding of the Muslim Brotherhood does not even raise a ripple of interest in the USA. And why the FBI has no interest in the Ikhwan's activity in the USA. And which American academics have been for years on the Qatar payroll. And which US Olympics officials are on the Qatar payroll. Etc., etc., etc.

Britain
Report: Arrested Iranian nationals were planning attack on Israeli Embassy in London, Iran gov’t had demanded their people be respected
[IsraelTimes] Eight Iranian men arrested in the United Kingdom over the weekend are suspected of plotting to attack the Israeli Embassy in London, according to an unsourced report in The Times newspaper.

“Police have refused to publicize details of the alleged plot, but it is understood the embassy was the main target,” says the report, without naming sources.

“Dan Jarvis, the security minister, refused to give details of the immigration status of the suspects citing the continuing police inquiry,” the newspaper adds.

There was no immediate comment from Israel’s Foreign Ministry or the embassy.

After two separate arrests of the men were conducted in counter-terrorism operations on Saturday, British Interior Minister Yvette Cooper called the operations “some of the biggest counter-state threats” the country had seen in recent years.

Commander Dominic Murphy, head of the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, said earlier this week that “the investigation is still in its early stages and we are exploring various lines of enquiry to establish any potential motivation as well as to identify whether there may be any further risk to the public linked to this matter.”

British media on Tuesday reported mounting speculation that the seven Iranians and one other person arrested over the weekend had been “hours away” from carrying out an attack on a synagogue or a location linked to London’s Jewish community, though there was no confirmation of the reports.

Iran urges UK to uphold rights of 8 Iranians arrested in terrorism investigations

[Rudaw] Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday urged the United Kingdom to "ensure respect" for the rights of Iranian nationals, a day after British counter-terrorism police secured arrest warrants to extend the detention of seven out of eight Iranians arrested on Saturday. Five are being held "on suspicion of terrorism offences," while three others were detained in a separate investigation by London police's Counter Terrorism Command.

In a statement on X, Araghchi noted that he was "disturbed to learn that Iranian citizens have reportedly been arrested by UK security services," expressing his country’s readiness "to assist investigations" if "credible allegations of misconduct are established."

"We call on the UK to ensure respect for our citizens' rights and afford them due process," the Iranian foreign minister added.

Araghchi’s remarks came a day after British counter-terrorism police secured warrants to further detain seven out of eight Iranians arrested on Saturday, in two separate investigations.

"Detectives have secured warrants of further detention for four of the five men arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences this weekend. The men can now be held for questioning until next Saturday [May 10]," London's Metropolitan Police Service said in a post on X.

"All five men, who are all Iranian nationals, were arrested on suspicion of preparation of a terrorist act," the British police elaborated in a statement, adding that the fifth man was "released on bail, with conditions, to a date in May."

The five men were arrested over a suspected plot to target a specific premises, however the British police have not named the targeted site.

The Metropolitan Police stated in another Monday post on X that "Warrants of further detention have also been secured in relation to three men arrested as part of a separate and unrelated national security investigation."

The three people were "arrested in London as part of a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation," the Metropolitan Police had previously explained in a Sunday statement, clarifying that "this investigation is not connected to the arrest of five people yesterday [Saturday] as part of a separate Met Counter Terrorism operation."

Dan Jarvis, the UK’s security minister on Tuesday described the two operations as "significant and complex," and that "they were some of the largest counter-state threats and counter-terrorism actions we have seen in recent times."

Jarvis emphasized the British government’s "response to the unacceptable threat we face from the Iranian state, and the steps we are taking to ensure that our intelligence and law enforcement agencies have the tools they need to disrupt and degrade Iran’s malign activity on UK soil."

In early March, the UK announced it would require the Iranian state to register all activities aimed at exerting political influence within the UK, subjecting Tehran to an increased level of scrutiny.

Jarvis then stated that he would include Iran's state institutions, its security services, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the highest tier of an upcoming registration scheme, designed to safeguard against covert foreign influence.

In an October speech, Ken McCallum, the director of the UK’s MI5 domestic security service, stated that at least 20 "potentially lethal" plots backed by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
have been thwarted in Britannia since 2022. These plots were primarily aimed at dissident Iranians who oppose the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

The policeman who liquidated the terrorist in Dagestan had saved people before
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Police officer Murad Magomedov, who eliminated a terrorist in Makhachkala, is not performing a heroic act for the first time; he saved people and was wounded during militant attacks on churches and synagogues in 2024, and also helped victims of a gas station explosion in 2023. The man is currently recovering after a recent fight with a terrorist; doctors have managed to stabilize his condition and prepare him for another operation. Regnum News Agency was told about this by the police officer's colleagues and relatives.

On May 5, 2025, terrorists armed with machine guns attacked traffic police officers in Makhachkala when law enforcement officers tried to stop a car. They opened fire on the police at the intersection of Kerimov and Magomedtagirov streets and took over the patrol car. Three law enforcement officers were killed in the shootout. One was wounded by a gunshot, and several local residents were wounded, including a 17-year-old girl. One attacker was eliminated, the other was wounded and taken to the hospital.

He is currently charged with committing crimes under Articles 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt on the life of law enforcement officers), 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hijacking without the intent to steal), 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal arms trafficking), and 226 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft of weapons).

One of the heroes who fought back the terrorists was 26-year-old police officer Murad Magomedov. During the shootout, the man received a gunshot wound to the leg. But despite the serious wound, the policeman rushed at the militant, snatched the knife from him in hand-to-hand combat and neutralized the terrorist. Murad Magomedov received multiple stab wounds and was hospitalized in serious condition. Before losing consciousness, the man managed to film his face, cut by the criminal's knife.

The footage shows a police officer rushing at the terrorist and knocking him to the ground. The incident is filmed from a second-floor window by frightened bystanders.

A SEASONED HERO
The police officer's former partner Magomed served side by side with him for four years in the patrol and guard service of the Makhachkala Ministry of Internal Affairs. They spent all these years together in the same crew and many times found themselves at the center of the most high-profile incidents, participated in repelling a terrorist attack at an Orthodox church on June 23, 2024 and saved people after a gas station explosion on August 14, 2023.

In June 2024, the partners came under fire during a terrorist attack on the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Makhachkala.

On June 23, armed militants attacked two Orthodox churches, synagogues and a traffic police post in Makhachkala and Derbent. Law enforcement officers resisted the terrorists, the attackers were eliminated, but more than 16 law enforcement officers and several civilians were killed in the clashes, and the number of casualties reached 61 people. On Ermoshkina Street in Makhachkala, the attackers attacked a traffic police post and set fire to a synagogue, after which they also attackedHoly Dormition Cathedral on Ordzhonikidze Street.

"There was a massacre there, we changed the morning shift and came under fire at the cathedral. Our crew was one of the first to arrive at the scene, within 10 minutes. Murad, I and other crews were shooting back at the terrorists," Magomed recalls.

The militants were eliminated. Criminal cases were opened on the basis of the attacks under the articles "Terrorist act", "Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of firearms" and "Theft of firearms".

A year earlier, on August 14, 2023, Magomed and Murad literally witnessed an explosion at a gas station in Makhachkala. A fire broke out in the building of the car service, located at the intersection of Kulinskaya Street in the village of Novokuli and the Federal Highway of Makhachkala, and the fire spread to the premises where flammable fertilizer was stored. An explosion occurred, which damaged nearby houses, a gas station, and passing cars. The number of dead and injured exceeded 100 people, the explosion damaged about 45 buildings, including 40 residential buildings.

Seeing the explosion, Magomed and Murad rushed to the scene; the police were very close and miraculously were not injured.

"We were not physically injured, but psychologically this tragedy left a deep mark. So many dead and wounded, I have never seen anything like this before. I got out of the car, screaming, there was darkness all around, and a woman with two children in her arms came out to my voice. And they had shrapnel wounds on their faces. We immediately put them in a civilian car and sent them to the hospital," Magomed said.

This continued all night, the police officers helped pull out the wounded, then searched for the bodies of the dead. Both police officers did not leave the scene even after the end of their shift. 63 people were taken to hospitals, including 16 children. 11 victims, including two children, are in serious condition. Another 35 people died.

After the terrorist attack in 2024, Magomed transferred to another unit, and his partner remained in the same crew. Less than a year later, on May 5, 2025, Murad again entered into a fight with terrorists and was seriously wounded. The former partner was also at the scene, but missed Murad by a few minutes; he saw the policeman being taken to the hospital. Magomed learned about his friend's feat from his fellow soldiers. He is confident that Murad Magomedov deserves the highest award for his actions and other merits.

"This is his third feat, in fact. For the fact that we participated in countering the terrorist attack at the church last year, we were both awarded the title of "combat veteran". For this new feat, I think he should be awarded the title of Hero of Russia, he deserves it," the policeman said.

He is on the mend.

Murad Magomedov is currently recovering. On May 7, he was transferred from the Central Hospital of Makhachkala to the medical unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, where he will undergo surgery on his leg on May 8. Murad's aunt Zemfira told how her nephew is feeling and what prognosis the doctors are giving for his treatment. In the fight with the terrorist, Murad Magomedov received three deep cut wounds to his face and arm, a concussion, and a through-and-through bullet wound to his thigh, which broke the bone. On the first day, the man received stitches for the cut wounds and stabilized his condition. The doctors waited for the swelling on the injured leg to go down to perform the surgery. And his relatives and colleagues hoped and believed that the man would survive and soon regain consciousness.

"We fought for Murad's life for two days, everyone was on edge, his mother's face was gone, she was very worried, she was literally on duty at the hospital. Everyone was waiting for him to wake up, including his colleagues, young patrol guys. They stood there, crying, it turns out that Murad covered them with himself, literally saved them. They were cornered, they themselves said that if he hadn't stopped this militant, this terrorist would have killed them too. We are all waiting for him to recover, he is our hero," the woman explained.

According to the aunt, Murad's colleagues are constantly in touch with his relatives, they inquire about his condition and offer help to the family. So far, almost no one is allowed into the man's ward, only the closest relatives, and even then not for long. The policeman is in a state of shock. After hospitalization, the parents were on duty at their son's ward all night and were very worried, because they did not know what condition Murad would be in when he woke up.

"When his mother came into his room, he started crying, he was in shock. The doctors warned us about this, a neurosurgeon will be monitoring him. He barely speaks yet, but he recognizes his relatives. We are happy about this, even though he is weak, even though he is in a serious condition, but at least he will recognize them," the woman shared.

The man was hospitalized almost at the same time as his new 26-year-old Islam, who was also wounded by terrorists. The men had worked together for several years and became friends. But doctors were unable to save Islam, he received serious injuries, from which he died in the hospital.

"It was very scary to watch how they were first brought in, and then Islam was taken to the morgue. It's terrible, they spent all their time together, they started serving in the same year. Murad hasn't been told yet that Islam is no more," Zemfira explained.

According to the woman, Murad had been injured before, but he took it very calmly. According to the rules of his profession, he rarely told his family about what he had to deal with at work, and he never bragged about his achievements.

"He had wounds before, but not so serious. He didn't even pay attention to them, he would bandage them himself at home, and that's it. He rode horses since childhood, grew up in the mountains, he is not at all fearful. He is always the first to climb, he is not afraid. You saw how in the video he jumped over that fence with a shot leg and chased that militant, how he took away the knife. Another person, probably already wounded, would have been scared, would have walked away. But Murad fought to the end, risked his life," Zemfira said.

After the shootout on June 23, 2024, Murad's family was seriously scared for their son. His aunt asked her nephew how it was that he always found himself in the center of the most dangerous events.

"He reacts to everything very quickly, running-running, and he's already there. He says, why did I go to the service, why do I need such a job if I'm not going to help. It's always like this with him, if he's needed, he runs, even in civilian clothes, even in his own car, even in his own free time, without eating, without sleeping, he'll run," the woman explained.

Zemfira is confident that Murad’s character is the result of proper upbringing and good relationships in the family.

FAMILY
The policeman's mother works as a primary school teacher, and his father is a farmer. Murad has two younger twin brothers. They are 21 years old, one of them is into martial arts, and the other followed in his father's footsteps and is learning to farm. His relatives really want Murad to meet a girl and get married, but the policeman doesn't have a wife or children yet.

"When it all happened, they wrote on Telegram channels that his wife and children were waiting for him at home. Unfortunately, this is not true. He has never been married, and he has no children. But we hope that they will appear. He is very shy in this regard. He is very well-mannered, we told him that it was time to start a family, and he joked in response: "Find a worthy bride, show her to me, I will definitely get married," the aunt said.

Now the family is waiting for Murad to undergo another operation and for him to be visited. The policeman has a long rehabilitation ahead, but his relatives and colleagues are very happy that Murad is already on the mend.

Fight between swearing girls in hijabs filmed in Caucasus
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A conflict between a group of girls in the Caucasus was captured on video. The corresponding video was published by the Telegram channel "ChP Kavkaz".

The footage shows the beginning of a conflict between five, presumably schoolgirls, wearing hijabs. Another girl records the events on her phone camera. One of the girls in a white hijab hits another in a black one, the third tries to separate them, but the fight continues with obscene language from the friends.

It is not known for certain what caused the conflict, but from the video it can be assumed that the victim allegedly "disgraced" her opponent in front of the boys. It is not specified where exactly the incident took place.

“Learn to be more than just decorative Muslim women!” the author of the publication wrote.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, a similar incident had previously occurred in Dagestan. At that time, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the republic, Marina Yezhova, called for a change in approaches to upbringing after a fight between teenage girls in hijabs.

Europe
Union presses Norway wealth fund to divest from firms that aid Israel in West Bank, Gaza
[IsraelTimes] World’s largest sovereign wealth fund urged by Norwegian confederation of trade unions to pull investments from companies ‘that have activities in occupied Palestinian territories’

Norway’s $1.8 trillion wealth fund, the world’s largest, should divest from all companies that aid Israel in areas claimed by the Paleostinian for a future state, a leader at Norway’s powerful LO trade union told Rooters, intensifying an ongoing divestment campaign.

LO, the biggest confederation of trade unions in Norway, is aligned with the governing Labour Party and often exerts influence on policy beyond traditional workers’ rights issues.

"We want the fund to pull out of the companies that have activities in the occupied Paleostinian territories," Steinar Krogstad, deputy leader at LO, said in an interview.

LO’s general policy is that Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, the world’s largest, should not invest in companies that breach international law, Krogstad said.

"This question is more on the agenda now... because of Israel’s policy, attacks and war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and in the West Bank," he said, speaking on the margins of the union’s congress, where the Paleostinian flag flew alongside those of the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
and Norway.

The Israeli embassy in Oslo did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

The United Nations General Assembly in September adopted a resolution calling for Israel to "end without delay its unlawful presence" in "Occupied Paleostinian Territory" and entirely pull out of Paleostinian areas within a year. The Israeli government rejected the resolution as "cynical international politics" that would encourage terrorism and harm the chances for peace.

Israel charged that the resolution ignores October 7 onslaught, when Paleostinian terror group Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
led a devastating cross-border attack on Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and during which Lions of Islam kidnapped 251 people who were taken as hostages to Gaza.

Norway has been critical of Israel’s conduct throughout the military campaign aimed at toppling the Hamas regime in Gaza and freeing the hostages. In May last year, Norway, along with Spain and Ireland, formally recognized a Paleostinian state.

LO and 47 other civil society organizations sent Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg a letter, dated April 10 and seen by Rooters, to push for such a move.

The letter asks Stoltenberg — an LO member — to instruct the central bank, which operates the fund, to divest from companies "where there is an unacceptable risk of complicity in violating international law in the occupied Paleostinian territories."

It also asks Stoltenberg take the initiative to give more precise guidelines for the observation and exclusion of companies from the oil fund "in such a way that they are in accordance with international law."

Daily VG first reported on the letter.

Krogstad said LO would also request a meeting with Stoltenberg to discuss the issue. No date had yet been set, he said.

The finance ministry said the fund operates under ethical guidelines agreed on by parliament, with recommendations for divestments made by an ethical watchdog that is "professionally independent."

"We have a framework that works well and has broad support in parliament," Deputy Finance Minister Ellen Reitan told Rooters.

The fund has faced pressure to divest from companies active in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip since the start of the war in October 2023.

Since then, it has divested from Israeli telecom company Bezeq and another unnamed company is under consideration for exclusion by the central bank’s board.

Most other companies active in the West Bank territories have been cleared in a review by the fund’s ethical watchdog.

The fund held stocks worth 22 billion crowns ($2.12 billion) across 65 companies listed on the Tel Aviv stock Exchange as of the end of 2024, according to fund data. They represent 0.1% of the fund’s overall investments.

Dar confirms contact between NSAs of Pakistan and India
[GEO.TV] Pakistain's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has confirmed that the national security advisers of Pakistain and India have made contact in the wake of rising tensions between the two countries.

In an exclusive interview with TRT World, Dar said that communication had taken place between the top national security officials of both nations following India's recent military strikes inside the Pak territory.

He did not elaborate on the nature or outcome of the exchange, but noted that diplomatic and security channels remained open despite the heightened situation.

India has done something which is "not condonable", it's an "act of war", the minister warned, adding Pakistain reserves the right to respond in a befitting manner.

Meta blocks Muslim news page in India after govt request
[GEO.TV] Meta has banned a prominent Moslem news page on Instagram in India at the government s request, the account's founder said Wednesday, denouncing the move as "censorship".

Instagram users in India trying to access posts from the handle @Moslem -- a page with 6.7 million followers -- were met with a message stating: "Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content."

There was no immediate reaction from the Indian government on the ban, which comes after access was blocked to the social media accounts of Pak actors and cricketers.

"I received hundreds of messages, emails and comments from our followers in India, that they cannot access our account," Ameer al-Khatahtbeh, the news account's founder and editor-in-chief, said in a statement.

"Meta has blocked the @Moslem account by legal request of the Indian government. This is censorship."

Meta declined to comment.

A front man for the tech giant directed AFP to a company webpage outlining its policy for restricting content when governments believe material on its platforms goes "against local law."

Katz says still time for deal to head off Gaza op, but no stopping once it starts
[IsraelTimes] Defense Minister Israel Katz says once Israel launches a major offensive planned in Gaza after next week it will not stop until it reaches its goals of conquering and holding the Strip.

“Operation Gideon’s Chariots is intended to defeat Hamas and bring about the release of all the hostages. We will act with great force to destroy all of Hamas’s military and governmental capabilities, while creating strong pressure for the release of all the hostages,” Katz says in remarks published by his office following an assessment with the IDF’s 162nd Division, which is due to take part in the offensive.

He says that “unlike in the past, the IDF will remain in every area [it conquers] to prevent the return of terrorism and to clear and thwart any threat.”

“From the moment the maneuver begins, we will act with great force and will not stop until all objectives are achieved, including the voluntary emigration plan for the residents of Gaza,” Katz adds.

He says the campaign will not be launched until US President Donald Trump wraps up a trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates slated for May 13 to May 16, indicating it could still be called off if a hostage deal is reached.

The current preparation phase “allows a window of opportunity until the end of the US president’s visit to the region to carry out a hostage deal,” he says.

He says that Israeli troops will remain in a buffer zone inside Gaza “in any temporary or permanent arrangement,” as it is intended to protect Israeli communities and prevent Hamas from smuggling weapons.

RUMINT: US, Israel discuss US heading temporary postwar administration of Gaza, say sources
Anonymous sources say:
[IsraelTimes] The United States and Israel have discussed the possibility of Washington leading a temporary postwar administration of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, according to five people familiar with the matter.

The "high-level" consultations have centered around a transitional government headed by a US official that would oversee Gaza until it has been demilitarized and stabilized, and a viable Paleostinian administration had emerged, the sources say.

According to the discussions, which remain preliminary, there would be no fixed timeline for how long such a US-led administration would last, and it would depend on the situation on the ground, the five sources say.

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to discuss the talks publicly, compare the proposal to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq that Washington established in 2003, shortly after the US-led invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.

The authority was perceived by many Iraqis as an occupying force and it transferred power to an interim Iraqi government in 2004 after failing to contain a growing insurgency.

Other countries would be invited to take part in the US-led authority in Gaza, the sources say, without identifying which ones. They say the administration would draw on Paleostinian technocrats but would exclude Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
and the Paleostinian Authority.

World Central Kitchen says it is forced to halt aid operations in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] The US-based World Central Kitchen charity says it has halted work in the Gaza Strip, saying it has run out of supplies and has been prevented by Israel from bringing in aid.
Betcha if they asked their Hamas-linked current and former employees to help, they’d get access to the supplies in the overstuffed Hamas warehouses…
“After serving more than 130 million total meals and 26 million loaves of bread over the past 18 months, World Central Kitchen no longer has the supplies to cook meals or bake bread in Gaza,” it says on Wednesday in a post on X.

Israel has faced growing international pressure to lift an aid blockade that it imposed in March after the collapse of a ceasefire deal. Israel has accused agencies, including the United Nations, of allowing large quantities of aid to fall into the hands of Hamas, which seizes supplies intended for civilians for its own forces.

World Central Kitchen was founded by celebrity chef José Andrés. An April 2024 Israeli strike on a World Central Kitchen convoy killed seven aid workers, for which the IDF apologized.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria confirms backchannel dialogue with Israel on security matters
[IsraelTimes] Syrian president says talks aimed at ‘easing tensions’; report says they began in mid-April, centered on building confidence between Damascus and Jerusalem

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on Wednesday confirmed that his country was currently taking part in indirect talks with Israel. Reports earlier in the day said that the United Arab Emirates had facilitated a backchannel for dialogue between Jerusalem and Damascus.

The talks were first reported by Rooters, citing three people familiar with the matter, who said that they were set up after al-Sharaa’s visit to the UAE on April 13, and are focused on security and intelligence matters and confidence-building between the two states, which have no official relations.

Sharaa said Wednesday that backchannel negotiations are aimed at "easing tensions and preventing the situation from spiraling out of control for all involved parties."

He added that "the Israeli intervention (military incursion into Syrian territory) constitutes a violation of the 1974 agreement" between Israel and Syria, and emphasized that since taking office, he has been committed to upholding this agreement.

Sharaa also stated that Syria is reaching out to any country with ties to Israel in an effort to pressure it to halt what he described as interventions and attacks in Syria.

He made the remarks during a presser following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Gay Paree. The visit marks the first trip by the Syrian president to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
since he assumed office.

A Syrian security source described the effort to Rooters as currently focused on "technical matters," and said there was no limit to what may eventually be discussed.

The senior Syrian security source said the backchannel was limited strictly to security-related issues, focusing on several counterterrorism files.

The source said that purely military matters, particularly those concerning Israeli army activities in Syria, fell outside the scope of the current channel.

The intelligence source said UAE security officials, Syrian intelligence officials and former Israeli intelligence officials were involved in the mechanism, among others.

They spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation.

The UAE foreign ministry did not respond to a request for comment. The Israeli prime minister’s office declined to comment.

The mediation effort preceded Israeli strikes in Syria last week, including one just 500 yards from the presidential palace in Damascus, and Rooters could not establish if the mechanism has been used since the strikes occurred.

Israel has framed the strikes as a message to Syria’s new rulers in response to threats against Syria’s Druze, a minority sect that is an offshoot of Islam with adherents in Syria, Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration....
and Israel.

Informal mediation between Israel and Syria aimed at calming the situation has taken place in the last week via other channels, according to one of the sources and a regional diplomat. They declined to elaborate.

Syria’s government has condemned Israel’s strikes as escalatory and as foreign interference, and says the new government in Damascus is working to unify the country after 14 years of civil war.

The new rulers have also made efforts to show they pose no threat to Israel, meeting representatives of the Jewish community in Damascus and abroad and recently detaining two senior members of Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. A letter sent by Syria’s foreign ministry to the US State Department last month, seen by Rooters, said, "We will not allow Syria to become a source of threat to any party, including Israel."

Israel has treated such claims with intense suspicion, due to the new leadership’s roots in Islamism and jihadism.

Trump: Options on Iran’s centrifuges are ‘blow them up nicely or blow them up viciously’
[IsraelTimes] Asked whether the US has given Iran a choice between turning over its nuclear centrifuges and uranium or “get bombed,” US President Donald Trump responds, “It’s that simple.”

“I would much prefer a strong, verified deal where we actually blow them up… or just de-nuke them,” Trump tells conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt in an interview, apparently referring to Iran’s nuclear centrifuges.

“There are only two alternatives there, blow them up nicely or blow them up viciously,” the president adds.
