[ConservativeTreehouse] In a post on his Truth Social page, President Trump shared some information from Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick who is reporting that the border wall panels have been pulled from auction.
Last Thursday, President-elect Trump submitted an amicus brief supporting an injunction to prevent the Biden administration from proceeding with the sale of the materials, as well as calling for an investigation into the legality of the auction. Earlier that week, President Trump remarked that the sale was “almost a criminal act” given that it was happening shortly before he was set to return to the White House.
It appears the 8,000 panels will be available for use immediately after President Trump takes office on January 20, 2025.
[NEWARAB] Morocco proposed on Tuesday reforms to its family law, addressing issues such as limits on underage marriage and women's inheritance rights, which activists have said were not guaranteed under the current code.
Based on landmark 2004 legislation that was hailed as a breakthrough at the time, the proposals include raising the legal marriage age and expanding women's custody rights, said Justice Minister Abdelatif Ouahbi.
The new legislation, which still require parliamentary and royal approval, come after two years of consultations with civil society as well as judicial and religious parties.
Women's rights advocates in the North African country had demanded full equality in inheritance and child custody, and a total ban on child marriage -- which the new proposals appear to fall short of.
According to Ouahbi, who laid out the reforms in a news conference in Rabat, the legal marriage age would remain 18, but the minimum age for exemptions -- currently at 15 -- would rise to 17.
Parental guardianship, previously granted automatically to fathers, would now be shared by both parents even if they separate, and divorced mothers would no longer risk losing custody of their children if they choose to remarry, Ouahbi said.
On inheritance, where Moroccan women currently receive half the share awarded by law to their male siblings, the reforms offer an alternative by allowing unrestricted donations to female heirs, including minors.
Polygamy, while limited under the current family law, would still be allowed but subject to stricter rules that would require a wife's consent before her husband can marry another.
The minister set no timeline, with the amended code still awaiting a legislative process. King Mohammed VI is expected to have the final say in any disputes over the new text.

The sex with a 9 year old girl is from several of the haditha.
It is not just a 'that was then' thing because the Koran calls Mohammud the perfect man so his deeds must also be perfect.
Several 'moderate' moslems in the past 20 years or so contest the 'nine year old' estimate based on inconsistencies between the various haditha.

It's not just the Muslims. A few years ago the State of Hawai'i raised the age of consent all the way up to 16. There followed much wailing and gnashing of teeth,.
[BREITBART] The Biden administration has authorized $20 million in taxpayer dollars to create a Sesame Street show in Iraq in an effort to ''promote inclusion.''
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), under the Biden administration, has partnered ''with Sesame Workshop to produce Ahlan Simsim Iraq, a program designed to promote inclusion, mutual respect, and understanding across ethnic, religious, and sectarian groups,'' the agency said.
The partnership's ''life of activity'' began in July 2021, and is set to conclude in June 2027.
''Leveraging the popularity of the Arabic Sesame Workshop show, Ahlan Simsim Iraq produces culturally tailored and age-appropriate original educational media content for young children,'' USAID said of the partnership's goals.
''Ahlan Simsim Iraq also provides tools for caregivers and teachers to promote equitable early learning and training opportunities to Iraqi youth in audiovisual production and storytelling to increase their meaningful participation in community dialogue,'' the agency added.
USAID seemed to attempt to justify its partnership with Sesame Workshop by suggesting that Iraqi youth are at risk of becoming radicalized if they are not exposed to Sesame Street-related content.
''Iraqi youth, who make up over half of the population, are unable to find jobs in an economy strained by war and corruption, creating vulnerabilities to radicalization,'' USAID said of its overview about the partnership.
The ''impact'' that is been made with the use of $20 million in U.S. taxpayer dollars includes training more than 10,000 Iraqi children to ''cultivate social and emotional learning skills and an appreciation for their identity and the diversity of Iraqi society,'' as well as training ''more than 480 youth in soft skills, 460 in filmmaking, and 310 in basic foundational skills,'' USAID said.
The funds have also been used toward conducting ''an awareness campaign in five schools in Kirkuk Governorate to raise awareness of climate change and desertification among Iraqi youth,'' the agency noted.

[IsraelTimes] An unnamed Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... official tells Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i-owned al-Araby al-Jadeed outlet that Hamas has provided a partial list of living hostages to negotiators, but is unable to communicate with all the groups holding captives.
The official says the terror group will be in a better position to provide information on the hostages once the ceasefire has begun and communication in Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... becomes easier.
The comment comes in the wake of Israeli reports that the terror group is refusing to provide information on the captives it is holding.
The newspaper also claims that the first stage of the ceasefire will see the release of two male soldiers holding American citizenship. It is unclear if this refers to serving troops, as Hamas classifies all men of fighting age as troops.
In addition, the first phase will also see the release of two men holding Russian citizenship, the report says.
The report says there has been some disagreement over the classification of humanitarian cases, with Hamas unwilling to include soldiers maimed during fighting within that category.
Unnamed Egyptian sources claim the talks are "a few steps from the finish line."
However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... Israeli officials charged yesterday that Hamas had backed away from a softened stance that could have enabled a ceasefire and hostage deal in the Gaza war, and instead returned to a position that is holding up progress.
The terror group, which started the war with its October 7 attack last year, earlier accused Israel of making new demands in the negotiations and causing a delay.
[IsraelTimes] Defense Minister Israel Katz says Israel will not cede security control over Gaza, indicating it will continue to operate buffer zones and hold strategic positions even as negotiators move toward a ceasefire and hostage release deal.
Katz makes the comments while visiting the so-called Philadelphi Corridor, a belt of land on Gaza’s border with Egypt where Israel’s government has insisted troops must remain in order to prevent smuggling between the Sinai and the Strip. While there, he met with commanders and receives a situational briefing, the Defense Ministry says.
“We will ensure that security control is in the hands of the IDF, which will be authorized to act anywhere to prevent threats,” Katz says, according to a Defense Ministry statement.
“We will make sure there are security zones, buffer zones and strategic posts which will ensure the security of towns,” he adds, without explaining what he meant by security zone. “There will be no Hamas rule, and no Hamas military. We will create a new reality here, thanks to the daily fighting, which is continuing even now.”

[NY Post] Hard to feel sorry for her. Perhaps God can forgive
The British wife of ousted Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad is deathly ill with leukemia — with doctors only giving her a 50% chance of survival, according to a report.
"Asma is dying," one source recently in direct contact with a family representative told the Telegraph of 49-year-old Asma al-Assad.
The former first lady is being cared for in Moscow — where her husband fled after his regime was toppled earlier this month — where she is being cared for mostly by her father, cardiologist Fawaz Akhras, who is "heartbroken," the source said.
She is so sick "she can’t be in the same room" with hardly anyone else, the source said.
"She has been 50/50 in the last few weeks," another source said doctors’ predictions on her chances of survival.
Asma al-Assad previously had breast cancer, which went away after a year of treatment, officials announced in 2019.
The former Syrian government then revealed in May that Asma had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia — a cancer that affects the bone marrow and blood.
That also went into remission, until reappearing again recently, the UK paper reported.
"When leukemia comes back, it’s vicious," one of the paper’s sources said.
Assad, who was born in London, is believed to have flown to the Russian capital before her husband was urged to leave the country he led for nearly 25 years.
Her "heartbroken" father, a cardiologist, has been caring for his daughter over the past six months — first in the United Arab Emirates and later in Moscow, The Telegraph reported.
News of her deteriorating condition emerged following rumors that she has filed for divorce from her husband and wants to go to the UK with her children — which the Kremlin immediately denied.
