[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A Chinese national has been charged with acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese Communist Party as he was serving on the campaign of Democratic candidate who ran for an Arcadia City Council in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,.
On Thursday, Yaoning ''Mike'' Sun, 64, was arrested and accused of conspiring with Chen Jun, another defendant who was convicted last month and sentenced to 20 months in prison for acting as an agent for the Chinese government, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
Although the candidate for which Sun worked for is not named in the court documents, the New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported that the candidate named as "Individual 1" in the documents is Eileen Wang, a Chinese American who ran for Arcadia City Council in 2022. Sun worked as Wang's treasurer for the 2022 run.
Wang is still on the city council and is identified as a Democrat in her campagin filings during her 2022 run, but has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
The 71-year-old Chen, who is also a foreign national of China, pleaded guilty to using money to bribe federal agents in an effort to undermine Falun Gong, spiritual group that is built around anti-CCP values. Sun as well as Chen are also charged with conspiring to impact elections.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday claimed that the country ''never interferes in the internal affairs of other countries" and was not familiar with the case. According to charging documents, Chen told Sun to report in 2023 on how they got an elected official in office in California. The report detailed that the politician that was pushed by the pair was a "new political star" in the state.
"This case is yet another example of a very disturbing trend: the People's Republic of China is seeking to influence foreign and domestic policy in the United States,'' US Attorney Martin Estrada told news hounds. "To do so, government officials in China are seeking to help get elected individuals who they see as being friendly to Chinese foreign policy.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A box full of books detailing the work of Prince Andrew’s business initiative in China was left dumped outside the £1 million property that served as a headquarters for alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.
One of the books was a hard-backed collection of photographs showing Andrew meeting dozens of Chinese businessmen as part of his Dragons’ Den-style initiative, Pitch@Palace.
The first photograph in the 87-page dossier showed the Duke of York posing with suspected spook Yang, who has been banned from entering the UK on national security grounds.
The new owner of the suburban house – which the MoS last week revealed was used as a base by Yang’s firm – said he found the material when he moved in.
Yesterday it was revealed that Andrew boasted of obtaining an account with the state-owned Bank Of China 17 years ago. In a leaked email, the Duke wrote: ‘Normally you have to present yourself in person but they will make an exception for me.’
...which should have been a hint to him that someone was trying to turn him into a tool. Royal princes ought to have just a tiny hint of situational awareness.
On Monday, Mr Yang agreed to the lifting of a court order banning his identification. The 50-year-old businessman, described as a 'close confidante' of the Duke of York, is suspected by the security services of being associated with the United Front Work Department [UFWD] – the secretive arm of the Chinese government that organises Beijing's cultural influences overseas.
He was first stopped from entering the UK under counter-terror laws in 2021 and his devices were seized, with documents retrieved later revealing his links to Andrew.
He was taken off a flight to London in 2023, with the then-home secretary Suella Braverman upholding the decision to cancel his residency rights in March of that year because it would be 'conducive to the public good.'
Mr Yang has said allegations he is a spy are 'ill-founded' and 'entirely untrue', adding: 'The political climate has changed, and unfortunately, I have fallen victim to this.
'When relations are good, and Chinese investment is sought, I am welcome in the UK. When relations sour, an anti-China stance is taken, and I am excluded.'

This is after Biden commuted the sentences of 1,500 people and pardoned 39 others — the biggest single-day act of clemency in history, the AP reported.
Biden also pardoned his son, Hunter, who was convicted of felony gun crimes after he promised he would respect the jury's verdict.
President Trump has promised to accelerate federal executions so Joe Biden is likely going to commute their sentences in an effort to derail Trump's plans.
Trump's DOJ signed off on 13 federal executions during Trump's first term.
The 40 inmates on death row have been convicted of heinous crimes and gruesome murders.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber, Dylann Roof, the man who fatally shot 9 parishioners at a church in South Carolina, and Robert Bowers, the man who carried out a mass shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue, are all currently on death row.

[Breitbart] "There is something profoundly wrong," Tucker Carlson said when discussing the latest actions of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who soured many conservative allies after initially offering a 1,547-page spending bonanza and ultimately handing the Democrats a win.
Eduardo Neret, a former producer for Carlson and a conservative commentator, brought up the disastrous spending bill negotiated by Johnson, which essentially thrust Johnson’s future Speakership in the air.
"On the eve of Trump’s inauguration, right before Christmas, he tried ... to shove through a 1,500 page spending bill that would have given Chuck Schumer all of the leverage with the debt ceiling going into next year," Neret said.
"I mean, there was a lot more than that in the bill, but, I mean, I guess the point is, like, what’s up with that?" he asked.
"There’s something profoundly wrong," Carlson began, noting that on top of that, Johnson’s number one priority, seemingly, has been funding Ukraine.
"I don’t understand it exactly, but I watched him make the number one priority of his Speakership funding Ukraine without any audit at all, at a time when the U.S. border was open, the United States itself was being invaded, and his priority was protecting the borders of a country whose language he doesn’t speak, he knows nothing about; it’s not America," Carlson continued, asserting that it is "not the only country that he’s — whose interest he’s put above ours."
Carlson noted that such behavior could be described as treasonous.
"And so, you know, I don’t overstate it. I think that’s a — it’s a kind of treason, yeah, and it’s very common in Washington," he explained, clarifying that Johnson is far from the only politician in D.C. who has operated that way.
"He’s not the only one, but I, you know, once you see that, then you lose all faith in a man," he said of the Speaker, lauding Elon Musk for blasting the original deal on social media and essentially stopping it.
"I wasn’t shocked by what happened, but I was very pleased to see Elon Musk just, just basically stop it singlehandedly, which is amazing," he added:

Johnson appears to not have the fortitude requisite to what we need for speaker. Like the drunk guy in Texas that lasted so long, I can’t discern a process that removes him and replaces him with someone better.

I'm curious: there are no drone reports when it is a media rage. ‘There Is Something Profoundly Wrong'. Over the years, 8-10 Trillion dollars were spent on Black ops or even rouge black ops. So Chuck Schumer proposes more restrictions on freedom for us. Provoke fear, then provide control.

The problem is that the job requires someone who knows how to wheel and deal, and knows all the pressure points of the various parties — a closer. So no matter how wonderful the young guys and the new guys coming in for the next session might be, they won’t be able to do what is an entirely thankless job. I suspect that ot be successful it takes at least 5-10 years of orienting and observing.

While the details of the settlement have not been made public, Pool posted that he was "satisfied" with the result along with a screen capture showing that the allegedly defaming post from Kamala HQ had been deleted. In his suit against the campaign, Pool had asked for a retraction: the deletion of the post is essentially that.
"The lawsuit between I, Tim Pool, and The Kamala Harris Campaign has been resolved to my satisfaction," he said. "Thank You." One of the things his suit against the campaign alleged was that he had suffered "reputational harm" at the hands of the Kamala campaign. Judge Jerri Zhang wrote that the ban was ''directly at odds'' with a constitutional amendment that allows for child sacrifice abortions that was passed by voters during the November election after the ACLU and Planned Parenthood sued the state in an effort to overturn the child sacrifice abortion ban, as reported by the Missouri Independent.
Zhang also stopped several other restrictions on child sacrifice abortions, including a 72-hour waiting period and informed consent law that made it so that patients were required to be given state-mandated information before receiving an child sacrifice abortion.
The judge refused to block other contested child sacrifice abortion laws, including one that required child sacrifice abortion facilities to be licensed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reports that Planned Parenthood says facilities can't comply with some of the licensing requirements, including ''medically irrelevant'' size requirements for hallways, rooms, and doors.

Biden added in the statement, "This agreement represents a compromise, which means neither side got everything it wanted.'' The bill includes funding that goes until March along with $100 billion in disaster relief for those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the US. There is also a $10 billion provision for farmers
