Mentally ill Calif. school shooter shot at kids as ''countermeasure'' for US involvement in ''genocide of Palestinians'': note
[NYPOST] The mentally ill gunman who shot and maimed two kindergarteners at a small Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, school Wednesday wrote that he was deploying a ''countermeasure involving child executions'' in response to ''America's involvement with genocide and oppression of Paleostinians,'' in a twisted note he left behind.

The shooter who turned the gun on himself after opening fire in the playground of the Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists was identified Thursday as Glenn Litton, a 56-year-old homeless man who was sprung from jail just two days before the shooting, according to police.

Litton, who was pronounced dead at the Oroville school, had a long history of mental health issues, alarming criminal behavior, and past stints in prison, Butte County officials said at a presser Thursday.

Cops believe his deranged writings — in which he called himself a lieutenant of ''the international alliance'' — stemmed from his compromised mental state.

''Countermeasure involving child executions has now been imposed at the Seventh Day Adventist school in CA, U.S. by the international alliance,'' he wrote in the disturbing note recovered by Sherlocks.

''I, Lieutenant Glenn Litton of the alliance carried out countermeasure in necessitated response to America's involvement with genocide and oppression of Paleostinians along with attacks towards Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea characterized those writings as delusions coming from his mental illness, saying he ''pulled information from various sources, and it all came together in his mind to create a reality that is false.''

Mentally Ill and Pro-Hamas, I can see the 2 going hand n hand

I wonder if the idea was placed in his head by some group? Because I find it strange that a MENTALLY ILL HOMELESS PERSON, in such a strict Gun Control State like California, has the ability to find, purchase and use a firearm so quickly after just getting out of jail?

If only the School staff was allowed to defend the kids.

'Muhammad' Now Most Popular Baby Name in England
[Newsmax] "Muhammad" became the most popular baby name for newborn males in England and Wales in 2023, according to a report from the United Kingdom's Office for National Statistics (ONS) released Thursday.

"Muhammad," the second most popular name in 2022, overtook "Noah" to become No. 1 a year later, followed by "Noah" and "Oliver." In 2023, 4,661 boys were named "Muhammad," an increase of 484 from 2022, according to the ONS.

The rising popularity of "Muhammad" is attributed to it religious significance, an ONS spokesperson told The National. Muhammad was the founder of Islam and is considered a central figure in the religion. The Muslim population in England and Wales more than doubled in 20 years, from 1.5 million in 2001 to 3.9 million in 2021, according to the ONS.

The original Hebrew is a variant on Joshua, as I recall, a very popular name here in America for the past two decades. Jesus is a common Spanish name, so there’s another precedent. And while the Jews don’t name their offspring God, Moses/Mo/Moshe has been on the list for boy babies for millennia — Maimonides is one of them. ;-)

#9  tw, somewhere I read that Mexicans used the name Jesus as an affront to the Catholic Church during the 1920s.(That was a time when the Mexican government actively persecuted the Church - killing priests and nuns and others, seizing Church property, etc. Look up the story of Blessed Miguel Pro for an example.)
Any way, I was taught in first grade to bow my head whenever I said or heard the name Jesus. This caused me problems when I taught a class where one of the students was named Jesus. I got around the head bow by pronouncing his name Hey-sus.

Belgian festival cancels screening of film on trans Gazan after Israel ‘pinkwashing’ claims
[IsraelTimes] A Belgian film festival has canceled the screening of a documentary film that touches on LGBTQ intolerance in Gaza after pressure from pro-Palestinian activists.

The film, “The Belle from Gaza,” by French director Yolande Zauberman, is not Israeli. It tells of a transgender woman who flees the Strip and relocates to Tel Aviv, and of her life in the community there.

In a statement, Cinemamed organizers said that the film was “accused by various activist groups of ‘contributing to the pinkwashing of Israel and the genocidal colonial narrative,’ a point of view that we do not share.”

However, they say that after “lengthy reflection” they decided to cancel the screening to maintain “the quality of the reception and the conviviality of the festival.”

IDF said to warn dozens of soldiers against travel abroad over war crimes claims
[IsraelTimes] Military finds anti-Israel groups filed complaints against some 30 troops who served in Gaza Strip; officials concerned images posted to social media could be used as evidence

The Israel Defense Forces warned some 30 soldiers and officers who fought in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip to avoid traveling abroad after anti-Israel, pro-Paleostinian groups filed complaints against them for alleged war crimes, according to a Wednesday report.

In eight cases, soldiers who did travel abroad were immediately told to return over fears they would be arrested or questioned by the country they were visiting, the Ynet news site reported. The soldiers were visiting Cyprus, Slovenia, and the Netherlands.

The IDF does not bar soldiers from traveling abroad, but it does conduct a "risk assessment" for troops who served in Gaza before approving their request, the report said.

IDF reservists who fought in Gaza are being advised to first check with the Foreign Ministry regarding the level of danger in any country they wish to visit.

Officials are concerned that aside from local legal actions, some senior officers could face prosecution at the International Criminal Court, which last month issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes.

IDF sources told Ynet that there was a concern that individual processes against lower-ranking soldiers and officers traveling abroad could be based on the ruling of the Hague court and on evidence gathered from social media or media reports.

Soldiers have been identified from videos and images they posted online that were taken during their service in Gaza, even though from the start of the ground operation in the Strip the IDF instructed troops not to publish such images amid concerns the material could be used against them in war crimes proceedings.

Anti-Israel activists are carefully monitoring the social media accounts of soldiers who have posted such material in case they also publish images from trips abroad, at which point the activists plan to file local charges against them, Ynet reported.

Soldiers who are planning to travel abroad are being advised to not post any images that give away their location.

IDF legal experts have assessed that the ICC will not go after lower-ranking officers and soldiers who were carrying out the orders of the politicianship, the report said. In addition, the ICC is not likely to involve itself due to the principle of "complementarity," under which a democratic country such as Israel is trusted to prosecute criminal activity though its own judicial system.

However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
officials are concerned that senior commanders such as the IDF’s northern and southern command chiefs, or IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, could be targeted by the ICC, the report said, though no such moves have yet been seen.

Israel will give full support via its local diplomatic offices to any soldier who is arrested or detained for questioning, or who feels threatened by activists while abroad, IDF sources said.

The threat of legal action against soldiers could increase as the fighting in Gaza dwindles and access to the Strip is granted to humanitarian groups and foreign media. With that in mind, an inter-ministerial team has been put together, led by the justice and foreign ministries along with the international law department of the IDF.

The team, which includes representation from the Shin Bet security service and the Mossad intelligence agency, makes assessments based on where a soldier served and the chances of them being arrested or detained in each country.

A key factor in the assessment is which countries say they will uphold the warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant, IDF sources told Ynet.

In addition, Israel has hired the services of local attorneys in dozens of countries around the world to keep an eye on legislation on their own turf relating to Israel and the war. The attorneys have also been asked to watch out for legal action against Israeli officials or members of the military and will defend such figures if necessary.

The sheer volume of available material that could be used against soldiers was highlighted Tuesday by the Washington Post, which published an in-depth investigation into videos posted by Israeli soldiers during 14 months of war that showed actions and behavior that could violate both IDF orders and international law.

Trump gears up to deliver on promise to curb anti-Israel campus protests
[IsraelTimes] The incoming president has promised to defeat the ‘radical revolution,’ throw activists who aren’t US citizens out of the country, and slash funding for campuses that allow them

Jewish parents in Maryland’s Montgomery County have no clue how their school district’s antisemitism investigation is proceeding.

It’s been more than nine months since the US Department of Education opened its Title VI civil rights probe into reports of antisemitic bullying, including at pro-Paleostinian student protests, in the suburban Maryland district. The case was one of more than 100 investigations the department’s Office of Civil Rights has opened at colleges and K-12 districts — part of the Biden administration’s highly publicized efforts to combat rising campus antisemitism and Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...

’s unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7 last year in which it murdered some 1,200 people, and took 251 hostages.

Yet currently, according to department records, the vast majority of those cases have yet to be resolved, including one relating to Montgomery County Public Schools. And the parent activists who initially sounded the alarm in the district say they haven’t heard anything.

"If there is an investigation, it certainly doesn’t seem to be causing much concern," Margery Smelkinson, one of the Jewish parents, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency last week. "The process is completely opaque, and it’s hard not to conclude that nothing is actually being done."

Smelkinson’s group, the Maryland Jewish Alliance, tried submitting its own Title VI complaint, in partnership with the right-wing Zionist Organization of America. The initial complaint was filed by a conservative activist with no connection to the district and without the group’s knowledge, based on an op-ed Smelkinson and another parent had written. By contrast, the complaint from the parents who actually lived there, she felt, was "far more detailed."

Yet the office wouldn’t open theirs, because the less detailed one had beaten them to the punch — a sign, she believes, that the department is only doing "the bare minimum."

HOW IS TRUMP PLANNING TO CURB CAMPUS PROTESTS?
Critics of the OCR’s handling of antisemitism complaints are hoping that will change during a second term for incoming US president Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th and 47th President of the United States...
, who has proposed a radical overhaul of United States education policy, including shuttering the DOE altogether. He also wants to use the long arm of the law against pro-Paleostinian, non-citizen campus protesters, having threatened to deport them.

If Trump were to follow through on closing the Department of Education, the Department of Justice would be a likely new home for campus civil rights issues including Title VI. Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Pam Bondi, has taken a hardline approach against campus pro-Paleostinian protesters.

Other campaign promises, including threats to hold university endowments and accreditations hostage unless they curb what Trump calls "Marxist maniacs and lunatics," have set off alarm bells among many education insiders and proponents of academic freedom. They worry about his nominee for education secretary, Linda McMahon, who has very little education experience, and note that Trump-friendly states like Texas and Oklahoma are more openly embracing a push to get Bible-tinged curriculum into public schools.

But some Jewish parents, if they’re not exactly welcoming all of these changes, see an opportunity in Trump’s education agenda. It was under his first administration, they point out, that the department expanded some Title VI protections for Jews, as outlined in a 2019 executive order on antisemitism.

"One can only assume this issue will be taken more seriously under his administration," Smelkinson said.

Through a spokesperson, the Department of Education declined to comment for this story. But its brass hats, including current Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and Catherine Lhamon, who oversees the Office of Civil Rights, have in the past year told JTA they place a high priority on fighting campus antisemitism in their department through Title VI.
One sees the results of their priority over the past four years, which is the whole point of the article. The rest of the article reports on the usefulness of Title VI, a Trump 45 initiative, and that addressing it through the Justice Department would be considerably more effective, as citizen-initiated lawsuits have been accumulating with little resolution from the [Harris-]Biden administration despite their claims to care so dreadfully. (Yes, dear Reader, they do care most dreadfully — I saw that, too.)

Trump taps businessman and former Abraham Accords negotiator as hostage point-man, and more noms
[IsraelTimes] Adam Boehler, who also helped lead talks with the Taliban during Trump’s first term, previously suggested a US military operation to rescue American hostages held by Hamas

US President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday he would appoint Adam Boehler, one of the lead negotiators of the Abraham Accords, as special presidential envoy for hostage affairs.

In a post on his social network Truth Social, Trump said Boehler “has negotiated with some of the toughest people in the World, including the Taliban, but Adam knows that NO ONE is tougher than the United States of America, at least when President Trump is its Leader,” adding, “Adam will work tirelessly to bring our Great American Citizens HOME.”

The announcement came two days after the president-elect warned there would be “all hell to pay” for those holding hostages if they weren’t released by the time he enters office on January 20, with Gaza terrorists continuing to hold 100 hostages, living and dead — including seven Americans, three of whom may be alive.

Boehler currently serves as CEO of the healthcare investment firm Rubicon Founders, and is a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

During Trump’s first term, he helped to lead US talks with the Taliban, as well as negotiations between Israel and several Muslim nations that resulted in the Abraham Accords normalization agreements.

He also served as CEO of the newly created US International Development Finance Corp, and was involved in the administration’s response to the Covid pandemic. In college, he was briefly roommates with Jared Kushner, the president-elect’s son-in-law, who also led negotiations on the Abraham Accords.

In recent months, Boehler has criticized the Biden administration for its approach to the ongoing hostage issue in Gaza, and has floated the idea of a US military operation to rescue the American citizens that Hamas still holds captive in the enclave.

Asked in a radio interview last week about the ongoing war, Boehler said that “the next step for Israel, and for the United States, is to make sure that we get the hostages back,” and called for the elimination of Iran’s nuclear facilities as well.
More nominations per the Populist Times:
Daniel Driscoll of North Carolina has been tapped by Trump to serve as the next Secretary of the Army. He is a venture capitalist and Army veteran. Mr. Driscoll served in the 10th Mountain Division and deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has also served as Senior Advisor to Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

Returning to the Trump Administration is Peter Navarro, who will take his old position of Trade Advisor. Navarro recently served four months in federal prison for a misdemeanor contempt of Congress charge.

Rounding out this batch of nominations is Jared Isaacman, a billionaire philanthropist and an associate of Elon Musk. Trump has selected Isaacman to head the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). is a private astronaut and piloted the SpaceX Polaris mission, the first private-sector manned space flight.
And from Red State:
Trump continues to name appointments to his incoming administration at a record pace. On Wednesday afternoon, he named former Fox anchor, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs during Trump’s first term, and New York Times bestselling author Monica Crowley to the role of Assistant Secretary of State. According to a Trump-Vance transition team email, Crowley will oversee many important international events, including the Olympics:

Trump names former PayPal COO David Sacks as White House ‘AI and crypto czar’

“David will guide policy for the Administration in Artificial Intelligence and Cryptocurrency, two areas critical to the future of American competitiveness,” Trump says in a social media post.

“He will safeguard Free Speech online and steer us away from Big Tech bias and censorship.”

Sacks will also lead a presidential council of advisors on science and technology, according to Trump.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Police bar weekly Tel Aviv protest from Kaplan-Begin junction, citing recent low turnout
The endless anti-democratic, anti-Bibi protest plans to rant against several subjects instead of the usual just one. The reason is the temper tantrum is the hope of returning the Socialists to power as they used to be for the first forty years or so, not whatever they happen to be shouting about that week. So ld-fashioned and boring.
[IsraelTimes] Organizers of anti-government rally vow to fight move, say numbers were down due to Home Front Command rules, with Saturday set to host first major demos since limitations lifted

Police have informed anti-government protesters they will not be allowed to hold their regular Saturday night protest on the intersection of Kaplan Street and Begin Road in Tel Aviv, Hebrew media outlets reported on Thursday.

The spot was meant to host, this coming Saturday, its first rally since the Israel Defense Forces lifted limitations on gatherings in central Israel in light of the ceasefire in Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
. Activists plan to focus on new bills being advanced by the government that they say represent a return of efforts for "a regime coup."

However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
police asserted that recent rallies have been too small to justify blocking the key intersection, and are demanding that the protest be relocated a short distance away from the junction, near IDF Headquarters’ Begin Gate.

"We note that a request was submitted to hold a protest with the participation of 50,000 protesters. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
the experience of the past weeks shows that in reality, a significantly smaller amount arrived than what the organizers had presented," police said in a statement in response to the reports, as quoted by Hebrew media outlets.

Police said it made the decision to balance the right to protest with the need to limit the impact on routine life. They said they will reassess the matter if there is a large number of participants at the protest.

Organizers have said the reason for the smaller turnout was the Home Front Command limitations, and have vowed to fight the decision.

"The police have not learned a thing — when it tries to harm the right to protest of the Israeli public, it only justifies our struggle. Israel won’t be a dictatorship, and the police will not be a political militia for the minister," organizers wrote on X, referencing National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

It said the protest would be held at Kaplan at 6:30 p.m.

Ben Gvir has been accused by critics of illegitimately interfering in police operations regarding anti-government protests, closely involving himself in policing the demonstrations in an attempt to repress them and pressuring police to use tougher methods of crowd dispersal.

MK Naama Lazimi of the left-wing Democrats

They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
…all true in America. But the Israeli version is just the renamed labour socialists giving a nod to their American political sponsors…
party also said that the police was acting under the orders of Ben Gvir to oppress the protest movement.

"Instead of doing their work to fight serious crime on the streets, they are busy persecuting protesters to please nefarious political interests. It won’t work for them — the protest will only get stronger," she said.

MK Gilad Kariv, also from the Democrats, said the police’s reasoning was just an excuse, as protesters were simply respecting IDF Home Front Command rules by not showing up in the masses.

"Next Saturday, the public will show the police and the minister in charge of it that it is not a handful, but the masses," he said.

Weekly protests over the past year have focused on pressuring the government to do more to reach a deal to free hostages held by Hamas

, including the bodies of at least 34 confirmed dead by the IDF.

The focus of protests on new bills advanced by the government comes as members of Netanyahu’s coalition increasingly call for the sacking of the attorney general and to resume the government’s judicial overhaul program aimed at curbing the power of the High Court of Justice.

The overhaul legislation sparked mass, weekly protests throughout 2023, up until Hamas’s October 7 massacre.

Furthermore, opposition activists and politicians have criticized recent legislative initiatives to grant the government oversight over television ratings data and privatize the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation and Army Radio, saying that they are aimed at eroding press freedoms.

Critics, including the Foreign Press Association and the Union of Journalists in Israel, have accused the government of undermining democracy, while the bills’ backers argue that their legislation would liberalize the media market and increase competition.

Israeli official: Egypt has proposed hostage deal with extended truce, not end to war
[IsraelTimes] Official says Israel open to discussing outline that has been handed to Hamas, in which ‘humanitarian’ category of hostages would be released, reportedly over 60 days

A recent Egyptian hostage deal proposal passed on to Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
offered an extended ceasefire during which hostages in the "humanitarian" category would be released, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel on Thursday, as mediators launched a flurry of activity to reach an agreement to end the 14-month war.

The updated hostage deal proposal given to Hamas by Egypt was not an Israeli offer as previously reported by the Axios news site, the official said, but was instead a proposal made by Cairo that Israel is fully open to discussing.

The official noted that the proposal is not for an end to the war, but an extended ceasefire that will allow the elderly, children, women, ill and badly maimed hostages to be released. The number of living hostages in these groups is today understood to be fewer than the 33 that was previously discussed in talks over past months.

Hamas still has not indicated whether it is willing to discuss the proposal, but if it is, Israel will send a delegation to Cairo to negotiate, the official said.

Hamas has until now repeatedly refused agreements that do not include a permanent end to the war and a full withdrawal of Israeli troops. Hebrew media reports said Thursday that Hamas may be willing to show flexibility on these demands, though it has given no publication indication of this.

Israel is interested in Egypt remaining at the center of the talks, said the official, adding that Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
remains updated behind the scenes and will want to take full part in mediation if there is progress. "The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
has no role," the official said, contradicting earlier reports.

Qatar announced last month it was suspending its role until the two parties show "willingness and seriousness" to resume talks. Steve Witkoff, US President-elect Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
’s incoming Middle East envoy, traveled to Qatar and Israel this week in order to kickstart efforts, while a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Times of Israel that Doha had quietly resumed its role as a mediator.

A US official said Biden’s aides were aware of Witkoff’s meetings and understood that Witkoff supports a Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
deal along the lines the administration has been pursuing, but did not see a need to coordinate with him.

The Israeli official who spoke to The Times of Israel noted that Trump’s threat this week to punish those responsible if the hostages aren’t released before his inauguration should have a positive effect on attempts to reach a deal: "Hamas takes it seriously, especially now that they are isolated in the campaign."

Israel is speaking to both the Biden administration and the Trump team about the hostages, said the official, but won’t say whether Trump’s Truth Social post was coordinated with Israel. "They hear our claims, and we see eye to eye with them on the need to apply pressure on Hamas," was all the official would offer.

Israel has begun applying more military pressure on Hamas in Gaza in recent days, the official said.

War was sparked on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led Death Eaters swarmed into southern Israel, killing some 1,200 people and abducting 251.

FIRST PHASE OF PROPOSAL REPORTEDLY TO LAST 60 DAYS
The recent proposal handed to Hamas is similar to the phased plan under discussion in August but now is focused primarily on getting the first phase done. Hamas has also shown a new openness to a partial deal, two Israeli officials told Axios Wednesday.

In the updated proposal, Israel is now willing to entertain the option of a ceasefire that would last up to 60 days, whereas previously the first stage was only 42 days. During the ceasefire, Axios reported, living female hostages, all living men over 50, and those with serious medical conditions would be released. Israel had been demanding 33 living hostages from these groups, but believes there are not that many alive in those categories anymore.

Israel is still willing to release hundreds of Paleostinian security prisoners, including some serving life sentences for deadly terror attacks.

According to the report, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several senior ministers and security chiefs approved the proposal on Sunday and then passed it to the Egyptians, who presented it to Hamas in Cairo on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Bert climbed the cocoanut tree, looking for ships. He saw none. He looked in the other direction and saw Irene, vigorously scrubbing her backside...
Massad Boulos — selected as Donald Trump’s Middle East adviser — told the French Le Point outlet Tuesday that "both sides have agreed on the broad outlines of an agreement."

"The war is practically over," he said. "There is practically no more significant military activity. The only issue that remains is the hostages, and the parties have already agreed on several occasions on an exchange between hostages and Paleostinian prisoners."

"The main lines of the agreement have already been established and there are only very small details to be settled on a few names," Boulos said, "the number of people released [on the Paleostinian side] and the period over which the exchanges should take place."

Iran causing trouble: Israel raises travel warnings for Maldives, Armenia, lowers warning for Brazil
[IsrelTimes] The National Security Council adjusts the travel warning for three countries following an updated security assessment.

The travel warning level is raised in both the Maldives and in Armenia but lowered in Brazil.

The travel warning for Armenia is upped from Level 1 to Level 2, “in light of the worsening threat to Israelis/Jews in Armenia from terrorist elements,” the NSC says.

Level 2 recommends travelers “take increased precautionary measures,” but is not seen as a call to avoid or leave the country altogether.

In the Maldives, the warning is upped from Level 2 to Level 3, “in light of the presence of terrorist supporters on the island alongside increasing hostility toward Israelis and Jews.”

Under a Level 3 warning, Israelis are recommended to avoid all nonessential travel to the location.

Lastly, the NSC says it has lowered the travel warning for Brazil back down to Level 1, with the exception of the Brazil-Argentina-Paraguay tri-border area, where a Level 2 warning will remain in place.

Hamas buried Deif in secret site so Israel wouldn’t find body, use it as leverage in hostage talks — report
[IsraelTimes] The Kan public broadcaster reports that Hamas managed to locate the body of its military chief Muhammad Deif after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in July.

Deif was then buried in a secret location, Kan says, explaining that the terror group feared that Israel would try to retrieve his body and use it as leverage in the ongoing hostage negotiations.

Hamas has yet to confirm publicly Deif’s death.

Israel says 31 patients and caregivers left Gaza for medical care in Jordan, US
[IsraelTimes] The Defense Ministry’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) says 31 Palestinian patients and caregivers exited the Gaza Strip via the Kerem Shalom Crossing yesterday to receive medical treatment in Jordan and the United States.

Also in its daily update, COGAT says that 122 humanitarian aid trucks entered Gaza yesterday, carrying food, medical supplies, shelter equipment, and flour for bakeries.

Fifty of the trucks entered via the Erez Crossing in the Strip’s north, and another 50 entered through Gate 96 in central Gaza.

Additionally, 49 trucks were picked up from the Gazan side of the Kerem Shalom Crossing, COGAT says. Some 780 trucks are still awaiting collection by international aid organizations at Kerem Shalom, according to COGAT.

COGAT also says that seven fuel tankers and six cooking gas tankers “designated for the operation of essential infrastructure” entered Gaza yesterday.

IDF says it returned bodies of 2 Jordanian terrorists who infiltrated near Dead Sea in October
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it has returned the bodies of two Jordanian terrorists who infiltrated Israel in October back to Jordan overnight.

The gunmen, members of the Moslem Brüderbund in Jordan, breached the border in an area south of the Dead Sea, close to the border community of Neot HaKikar. They then opened fire at IDF troops, wounding two, before being shot dead, having managed to cross no more than a few meters into Israeli territory.
These are the two idiots who were caught while cutting through the barbed wire along the border, wearing Jordanian army uniforms and carrying hand guns, maps, and a Hebrew-Arabic conversation book.
Their bodies were returned too Jordan “in accordance with the directive of the political echelon,” the military adds.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanon’s Hezbollah aims to rebuild longer term despite Israeli blows, US intel says
[IsraelTimes] Leb
...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel.
’s Hezbollah has been significantly degraded militarily by Israel, but the Iran-backed terror group will likely try to rebuild its stockpiles and forces and pose a long-term threat to the US and its regional allies, four sources briefed on updated US intelligence tell Rooters.

US intelligence agencies assessed in recent weeks that Hezbollah, even amid Israel’s military campaign, had begun to recruit new fighters and was trying to find ways to rearm through domestic production and by smuggling materials through Syria, says a senior US official, an Israeli official, and two US politicians briefed on the intelligence, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
It’s unclear to what extent those efforts have slowed since last week when Hezbollah and Israel reached a shaky ceasefire, two of the sources say. The deal specifically prohibits Hezbollah from procuring weapons or weapons parts.

US intelligence agencies assess that Hezbollah is operating with limited firepower. It has lost more than half its weapons stockpiles and thousands of fighters during the conflict with Israel, reducing Tehran’s overall military capacity to its lowest point in decades, according to the intelligence.

But Hezbollah has not been destroyed. It still maintains thousands of short-range rockets in Lebanon and will try to rebuild using weapons factories in neighboring countries with available transport routes, the sources say.

One of the politicians says Hezbollah has been "knocked back" in the short term and had its ability to conduct command and control reduced. But the politician adds: "This organization is designed to be disrupted."

US officials are concerned about Hezbollah’s access to Syria, where Syrian rebels recently launched an offensive to retake government strongholds in Aleppo and Hama. Hezbollah has long used Syria as a safe haven and transport hub, taking military equipment and weapons from Iraq, through Syria and into Lebanon through the rugged border crossings.

Washington is trying to pressure Syrian President Bashir al-Assad to limit Hezbollah’s operations, enlisting other countries in the region to help, a senior US official said. Rooters reported on Monday that the US and the United Arab Emirates have discussed possibly lifting sanctions on Assad if he peels himself away from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and cuts off weapons routes to Hezbollah.

Hezbollah officials have said the group will continue to function as a "resistance" against Israel, but its secretary general Naim Qassem
... the Grand Vizier of the Hezbullies...
has not brought up the group’s weapons in recent speeches, including after the ceasefire was reached. Sources in Lebanon say Hezbollah’s priority is rebuilding homes for its constituency after Israeli strikes destroyed swaths of Lebanon’s south and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Syria’s Assad orders 50% raise in career soldiers’ pay
Of course, the key to the retirement program…
[IsraelTimes] Syrian President Bashar Assad has ordered a 50 percent raise in career soldiers’ pay in a decree issued as the army presses a counteroffensive against Islamist-led rebels.

The decree, which was published by the official SANA news agency, made clear that the raise applies only to soldiers on active duty, not to reservists or veterans.

Syrian rebel leader appears in public for first time since launch of anti-regime offensive
[IsraelTimes] The leader of the Syrian jihadi rebel group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) appears in public for the first time since the launch of the HTS-led offensive against the Syrian regime one week ago.

On Sunday, unverified reports in Arab media had claimed that Ahmed Hussein al-Shar’a, known by his nom de guerre Abu Mohammad al-Julani, had been killed in a Russian airstrike.

Videos circulating today on Arab social media and news channels, including on Al Jazeera, show Al Julani making his way through a cheering crowd in Aleppo.

Al-Julani is wanted by the United States as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist, with a $10 million bounty on his head.

HTS, a former Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda once known as the Nusra Front, is designated a terrorist group by the US, Russia, Turkey and other states. The shock uprising led by the group has made rapid inroads in northwestern Syria, taking control of the Idlib province and Aleppo, Syria’s second largest city, and gradually approaching the city of Hama.
