Another massive killing in CCP China! Graphic content warning!
On November 16, a 21-year-old man killed 8 people and wounded 17 at Wuxi Vocational and Technical College. The suspect Xu Jiajin was apprehended on the spot.
[Reuters] A former student went on a stabbing rampage at a vocational college in eastern China on Saturday, killing eight people and wounding 17 others, police said, adding it appeared the suspect was angry over not getting his graduation certificate and failing an exam.
The knife attack took place at the Wuxi Vocational College of Arts and Technology in Yixing, part of Wuxi city in the eastern province of Jiangsu. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and confessed to his actions, police added.
"According to preliminary investigations, the suspect, surname Xu - male, 21 years old, a 2024 graduate of the college - attacked others after failing an exam and not receiving his graduation certificate, as well as being dissatisfied with his internship compensation," a statement by the Yixing Public Security Bureau said.
It added that efforts were underway to treat the injured and investigate the case.
The incident came just days after a mass killing in the southern city of Zhuhai in which a driver rammed his car into a crowd at a sports centre, killing 35 people and severely injuring 43 in one of the deadliest attacks in contemporary Chinese history.
[MSN] Four Los Angeles-area residents were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 13 on suspicion of insurance fraud and conspiracy after allegedly falsely claiming a bear got into their vehicles and damaged them. BooBoo was not involved although the perpetrators made a big booboo.
There was no bear, rather, a person in a bear costume was seen in video footage provided with insurance claims.
Dubbed "Operation Bear Claw," the California Department of Insurance began an investigation after an insurance company suspected fraud when the suspects, residents of Glendale and Valley Village, in January reported a bear had gotten into their Rolls-Royce Ghost in Lake Arrowhead. No pic-a-nic basket was found.
Video footage was provided to the insurance company. The footage was reviewed by investigators, who determined the video showed a person in a bear suit. A biologist from the California Department of Wildlife also reviewed the footage, concurring with investigators that the footage "was clearly a human in a bear suit," according to a news release from the Department of Insurance. After executing a search warrant, detectives found the bear costume in the home of the suspects. Mr. Ranger vouched for Yogi's whereabouts.

[BREITBART] Whoopi Goldberg threw support behind calls for sex strikes — in response to President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory in the 2024 election — during an unhinged rant on The View in which she lectured all men in America, telling them they're not going to ''get any'' if they speak out of line. Question of the day: Who'd wanta hump Whoopi Goldberg?
''A lot of women are preparing themselves for the impact of the incoming administration which has led to this growing mantra from male right-wing incels: 'Your body, my choice,''' Goldberg said on The View, bizarrely suggesting that Trump's second administration is somehow an attack on women while also oddly lending authority to mere internet trolls seeking to rile people up on social media.

Question of the day: Who'd wanta hump Whoopi Goldberg?
More like, one look at Whoopi gets one turned off thoughts and desire of sex for a long time, if not forever!

I used to to have a gf that looked alot like WG and it always pissed her off i0f someone mentioned it. Anyways I think this sexless lump of fat is a slam dunk. The meanness and spite radiating from her would make the Rockies go soft. With the c**p she pulled with the muffin shop, WG deserves to be sued to poverty.

With Diddy behind bars, she has no choice but to strike.
Like I said my dudes, if your woman is even entertaining this, its time to pull camp, and thank her on the way out for saving your time, money, and divorce proceedings, because she's a cat in a rocking chair store.

Imagine women across the country divorcing their husbands, breaking up their families, suffering the emotional and economic hardships that would follow just because Whoopi Goldberg says so. Maybe she really expects that to happen. I mean, how long do you suppose it's been since she got any? I can't imagine even another old hag going down with that toxic old hag. Creeps me out just thinking about it. Whoopi has the same kind of ugly that Hillary Clinton does. It goes all the way down to the bone. It's the kind of ugly that comes from within the woman's heart and soul. You must know that people who encourage that kind of destruction are truly evil.

If the cast of The View is on sex strike, Hollywood sex parties may be more enticing to those who are in to that type of thing.

^ After the way Whoopi, Joy Behar and Rosie O'Donnell abused Elizabeth Hasselbeck when she was on The View it's hard to imagine anybody else giving it a try. Better to just pull the plug on that show.

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Legacy media network, CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... , suffered its worst rating in a key demographic for the first time in a quarter of a century as employees fear more layoffs are coming. Excellent business decision. Look how well it worked for K-Mart.
A critical demographic for network news channels are those aged 25 to 54, and on Tuesday - a week after the 2024 presidential election - CNN averaged 61,000 viewers in that range. It was the smallest of audience viewers in that demographic since June 27, 2000, when Bill Clinton ...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is... was in the White House. Could there be a reason for that?
It also pulled in bad numbers for its daytime programming - shows that run between 9 am and 5 pm - with an average 60,000 viewers in the demographic on Tuesday. I think mostly in hospital waiting rooms and airports...
This was the worst for a non-holiday week since 2014, according to Fox News. And the reason is...?
Overall daily viewership for daytime programming sat at 403,000 for the liberal outlet, whereas its competitor and conservative outlet Fox News brought in around 2.2million. So becoming less liberal and a wee bit more conservative might pull in a couple more viewers?
Primetime coverage - between 8 pm and 11 pm - also saw struggling viewership numbers with an average of 483,000 since Election Day. Fox News brought in 3.4 million, according to the network. Ted Turner is probably turning over in his grave if he's dead yet.
CNN's Election Day coverage also waned compared to previous cycles, with a huge downfall in viewership as it fell below MSNBC for the first time since the company launched, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If nobody's buying the junk you sell, try different junk.
CNN brought in 5.1million viewers, while MSNBC had 6.01million. Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy had come up with a new idea, one that didn't involve kerosene... Fox News led with 10.32million, according to THR.
On Monday evening, Chris Wallace, the veteran newsman, CNN anchor, and ultimate Washington establishmentarian, called the network’s talent chief Amy Entelis to inform her that he intended to leave at the end of his contract. Minutes later, to the consternation of his bosses and presumably their P.R. department, he gave a reporter at The Daily Beast the green light to publish a precooked exclusive about his departure. The piece asserted that the 77-year-old broadcaster was walking away from a seven-figure contract to find a new home in “streaming or podcasting,” which, as Wallace told the reporter, is “where the action seems to be.”
…The truth is always more nuanced, of course, though in some cases it’s also more simple.
…In Wallace’s case, CNN C.E.O. Mark Thompson was planning to cancel both of his shows: Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, the weekly interview series that was originally supposed to air on CNN+ and now airs on Max—until Friday, when it will air its final episode—and the Saturday morning panel discussion program, The Chris Wallace Show. Instead, Thompson and Entelis intended to offer Wallace a new role as an analyst, which would have resulted in a significantly diminished compensation package and, presumably, far less air time.
…The most recent broadcast of The Chris Wallace Show drew 450,000 viewers and just 85,000 in the advertiser-coveted 25-to-54-year-old demo—an audience size at which it’s increasingly hard to justify most of the talent salaries at CNN.

When Joe Rogan has a greater audience and runs at a far lesser cost, you need to 'move along' as in 'ash heap of history'.
[JustTheNews] A breakdown of the audit found that 15 of the 28 standalone financial audits received a failing grade, while nine of them passed. One received an "acceptable" or "qualified" opinion, while the other three remain pending.
The Defense Department on Friday failed to pass the seventh consecutive audit of its finances, but said it is making progress in having a clean audit by 2028.
The Pentagon has never successfully passed the audit of its $824 billion budget since it was required in 2018, but the Marine Corps passed its own audit in February. A total of 1,700 auditors worked on the 2024 audit, which cost about $178 million.
A breakdown of the audit found that 15 of the 28 standalone financial audits received a failing grade, while nine of them passed. One received a "qualified" opinion, while the other three remain pending. The department as a whole received an "disclaimer of opinion," which means it did not provide enough financial information to form an opinion.
"Despite the disclaimer of opinion, which was expected, the Department has turned a corner in its understanding of the depth and breadth of its challenges," Pentagon Comptroller Michael McCord said in a statement. "Momentum is on our side, and throughout the Department there is strong commitment—and belief in our ability—to achieve an unmodified audit opinion.
"The path forward is clear," he continued. "Significant work remains and challenges lie ahead, but our annual audit continues to be a catalyst for Department-wide financial management reform, resulting in greater financial integrity, transparency, and better-supported warfighters."
McCord also noted that significant progress was made in five crucial areas, including addressing material weaknesses, improvements in system controls, “moving the needle” on physical assets, leadership engagement and use of data analytics, according to Stars and Stripes.
“This means that the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force and [the Defense Information Systems Agency] have gotten their house in order on all their funding, or cash, as some people might think of it,” McCord said. “For context, the department has improved from less than 7% to over 82% of its funding being free of material weaknesses since I returned to this job (in June 2021).”
The comptroller added that he believes the 2028 goal of passing the audit is still achievable, but that the department would need to improve faster and stronger.
The Defense Department is the only Cabinet-level department to have consistently failed its annual audit.

[BBC] As the world waits to see how the return of Donald Trump will reshape relations between Washington and Beijing, China has just taken decisive action to entrench its position in Latin America.
Trump won the US presidential election on a platform that promised tariffs as high as 60% on Chinese-made goods. Further south, though, a new China-backed megaport has the potential to create whole new trade routes that will bypass North America entirely.
President Xi Jinping himself attended the inauguration of the Chancay port on the Peruvian coast this week, an indication of just how seriously China takes the development.
Xi was in Peru for the annual meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Forum (Apec). But all eyes were on Chancay and what it says about China's growing assertiveness in a region that the US has traditionally seen as its sphere of influence.
As seasoned observers see it, Washington is now paying the price for years of indifference towards its neighbours and their needs.
"The US has been absent from Latin America for so long, and China has moved in so rapidly, that things have really reconfigured in the past decade," says Monica de Bolle, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington.
"You have got the backyard of America engaging directly with China," she tells the BBC. "That's going to be problematic."
Even before it opened, the $3.5bn (£2.75bn) project, masterminded by China's state-owned Cosco Shipping, had already turned a once-sleepy Peruvian fishing town into a logistical powerhouse set to transform the country's economy.
China's official Communist Party newspaper, the People's Daily, called it "a vindication of China-Peru win-win co-operation".
Peru's President Dina Boluarte was similarly enthusiastic, describing the megaport as a "nerve centre" that would provide "a point of connection to access the gigantic Asian market".
But the implications go far beyond the fortunes of one small Andean nation. Once Chancay is fully up and running, goods from Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and even Brazil are expected to pass through it on their way to Shanghai and other Asian ports.
China already has considerable appetite for the region's exports, including Brazilian soybeans and Chilean copper. Now this new port will be able to handle larger ships, as well as cutting shipping times from 35 to 23 days.
However, the new port will favour imports as well as exports. As signs grow that an influx of cheap Chinese goods bought online may be undermining domestic industry, Chile and Brazil have scrapped tax exemptions for individual customers on low-value foreign purchases.
As nervous US military hawks have pointed out, if Chancay can accommodate ultra-large container vessels, it can also handle Chinese warships.
The most strident warnings have come from Gen Laura Richardson, who has just retired as chief of US Southern Command, which covers Latin America and the Caribbean.
She has accused China of "playing the ‘long game’ with its development of dual-use sites and facilities throughout the region", adding that those sites could serve as "points of future multi-domain access for the [People's Liberation Army] and strategic naval chokepoints".
Even if that prospect never materialises, there is a strong perception that the US is losing ground in Latin America as China forges ahead with its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Outgoing US President Joe Biden was among the leaders at the Apec summit, on his first and last visit to South America during his four-year term. Media commentators remarked that he cut a diminished figure next to China's Xi.
Prof Álvaro Méndez, director of the Global South Unit at the London School of Economics, points out that while the US was taking Latin America for granted, Xi was visiting the region regularly and cultivating good relations.
"The bar has been set so low by the US that China only has to be a little bit better to get through the door," he says.
Of course, Latin America is not the only part of the world targeted by the BRI. Since 2023, China's unprecedented infrastructure splurge has pumped money into nearly 150 countries worldwide.
The results have not always been beneficial, with many projects left unfinished, while many developing countries that signed up for Beijing's largesse have found themselves burdened with debt as a result.
Even so, left-wing and right-wing governments alike have cast aside their initial suspicions of China, because "their interests are aligned" with those of Beijing, says the Peterson Institute's Ms de Bolle: "They have lowered their guard out of sheer necessity."
Even in faraway Afghanistan they keep a wary eye on the mad dog of Communist China.
[KhaamaPress] North Korea ...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche... n leader Kim Pudge Jong-un ...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished... has issued an order for the mass production of kamikaze/suicide drones following successful tests of these drones. The directive highlights North Korea’s growing focus on enhancing its military capabilities.
According to North Korea’s state news agency, Kim stated on Friday, November 15, that there is an escalating global race to utilize drones for military purposes. He emphasized the urgent need to update military strategies in light of these advancements.
The introduction of kamikaze drones has become increasingly prevalent in conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the Middle East, according to Rooters. These drones are shaping modern warfare by offering strategic advantages.
Kim’s directive comes shortly after signing a strategic partnership agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... . The timing suggests a connection between the mass production order and the evolving military cooperation between the two nations.
Reports from South Korea, NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... , and the U.S. indicate that approximately 10,000 North Korean special forces have been deployed to support Russia in the Ukraine war. These forces have reportedly been involved in battles in the Kursk region, with casualties among their ranks.
North Korea’s increasing military support for Russia, including the deployment of special forces and the mass production of kamikaze drones, adds a new layer of complexity to the Ukraine conflict.
The strategic partnership between North Korea and Russia signals a shifting geopolitical landscape, with Pyongyang taking a more active role in global conflicts. This growing alliance not only intensifies the war in Ukraine but also challenges the existing balance of power, prompting heightened vigilance among Western nations.
[GeeksAreSexy] Meet dAIsy, the AI Grandma Who Scammers Wish They’d Never Called.
Meet dAIsy, the AI grandma who’s single-handedly turning the tables on scammers—and doing it with all the charm of a sweet old lady who’s just had her third cup of tea. Created by O2, Daisy isn’t here to knit sweaters or bake cookies. No, Daisy is here to talk. And talk. And talk some more. She’s the ultimate scammer repellant, armed with an endless supply of rambling nonsense and a voice so convincing you’d swear she’s about to ask you if you’re eating enough vegetables.
Here’s how she operates: when a scammer calls, Daisy picks up with all the warmth of a loving grandma who just loves to chat. Got a question about her bank account? Oh, you’ll get an answer all right—after she tells you about her nephew’s wedding, her cat’s peculiar eating habits, and why they don’t make tea kettles like they used to. By the time she’s done, the scammer will have aged faster than their victim ever could.
And it works! O2 reports that Daisy has kept some scammers on the phone for an astonishing 40 minutes. That’s nearly an episode of Bake Off spent listening to her passion for knitting scarves for pigeons. One unlucky fraudster reportedly hung up after Daisy gave him some “personal” details—like a bank account number that spelled out “NO-MONEY-FOR-YOU.”
The genius behind Daisy is a custom-trained AI that’s programmed to generate lifelike responses in real time. She hears what the scammer says, cooks up a response with the cunning of a master troll, and speaks back in a voice that would convince anyone she’s about to invite them over for tea and biscuits. It’s like ChatGPT, but if ChatGPT had a fondness for tangents about gardening.
Murray Mackenzie, Director of Fraud at Virgin Media O2, describes Daisy as a scammer’s worst nightmare. “We’re essentially weaponizing British politeness,” he said, probably while sipping tea and feeling very pleased with himself. Daisy doesn’t just waste scammers’ time—she actively ruins their day. And for the millions of people constantly worried about falling victim to fraud, that’s a win.
If you’re in the UK and get a scammy call, you can report it to 7726 for free, and maybe Daisy will step in to “help.” Just picture the scammer furiously taking notes as Daisy prattles on about how she thinks her account number starts with a 4…or maybe it’s a 7…or was that her library card?
