But the eight mines did not work out - the next one was opened only in the mid-80s, and both "Yuzhnodonbasskiye" became the main support points for the formation of the "coal - coke - metal" chain, which became the basis of the prosperity of the "Donetsk clan".

The situation began to change after the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense was pushed through northeast of Ugledar, in the area of Novomykhaylovka and then Konstantinovka.
