While the Secret Service (as an agency) clearly isn’t willing to die on a hill for President Trump’s protection (or apparently RFK Jr.’s), the hill it will die on is that of the Pride flag.
From an item at Fox News—not the Babylon Bee—comes a truly absurd story: The agency will be sending staff members to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where they will participate in the “Out and Equal Workplace Summit” on a de facto three-day paid vacation. As Fox reports, the conference “includes breakout sessions, a gala and various events aimed at promoting LGBTQ diversity in the workplace.”
Who approved this abomination? Disgraced director Kimberly Cheatle? Acting director Ronald Rowe? I’d like names, and obviously some accountability (fat chance).
But wait, hasn’t the agency been telling the American people it “lacks the resources” to properly protect President Trump, which is why he’s been deciseconds and minutes from death on at least two known occasions (respectively) in the last several months? So the Secret Service ostensibly doesn’t have the funding to protect President Trump, but it does have the money to send its staff to an LGBTQ-people-in-the-workplace conference at an notoriously expensive amusement park—okay.
While Fox stressed that this is a trip for Secret Service staff and not the agents themselves, an agency spokesman revealed that the staff members set to attend are those “responsible for the implementation of federal special emphasis programs” — ergo, this will certainly have an effect on the efficacy and competency of the agents. Seriously, they may as well have just sent the agents themselves since a gayer and woker workforce is going to be the end result anyway.

Bubba, not the utility companies, is clearing trees and clearing power lines using rubber garden hoses with rope in them, to pull power lines from the roadway, so semi's can deliver supplies (gas, ice etc)

The 5 I have checked while looking for gas & ice were all closed 3pm yesterday... NO Power, now WATER, and cooked everything that would go bad.
Right now stinks works is running on turd gas.
Now imagine a No fossil fuel all solar USA running total electric having weather or major interstate.

Was assisting a fellow wanting to run a CAT5 from his house to separate garage but didn't want stuff hanging, so we trenched about 50 feet for an underground conduit. He didn't want to do it in sections, being underground, so he got the lightest monofilament line he could, tied some fletching to the end, put a vacuum on one end flush and let it run a bit, then put that fletching at the open end, let it get sucked in a bit, then put a leaf blower at that end, and sucked the lead line through the conduit, and used it to pull the CAT5.
If the hose is being used to protect the rope from contact and abrasion, then they just need five or ten foot sections probably, which could be finagled by getting the hose stretched well in vertical and dropping a lead with a small fishing weight, or save a step and go straight to paracord or other rope small enough in diameter to not have to wrestle friction too much.

Club is down I guess. I wanted to get this out. Schwans the home delivery frozen food company was a family business. Investment group bought the family out and changed the name to Yellow. Now November 3rd a complete shut down in all areas of the United States. Perhaps sooner. I am not really sure I have the closure date or month correct.This is certain to happen in 2024.

O-club is shut down between 15 minutes after and 35 minutes after each even numbered hour.
This is done to enable repopulation of the database without interference from updates through the web interface. The o-club resides on the same server as Rantburg's live backups.
If you had waited one more minute, the o-club would not have been down.

August Ga is mile markers 194 to 199 on I-20.
1st working and accessible gas station on between Augusta and Atlanta was mile marker 114 on I-20 Madison Ga.. There was a station at 138,but the police appear to have shut it down for local residents only. Greensboro was backed up 1/2 mile down the exit into the breakdown lane.
Madison had us in out of the LOVE"s Car/trucker type fuel station 20 mins.
Arby's took over 1 hr to place and get for an inside order and it.
All told it use about 4.5hrs to make the 2.25 trip.
The last update we read on the DISGUSTA GA Facebook site. Indicated power in remote areas like ours would not up til Oct 10th at the earliest.
Time to research generators and solar panels against future need?
But after reading Skidmark’s link about a flooded EV battery burning down the house in Florida, that’s clearly not something to keep in the garage if one lives in a flood plain or hurricane territory.

[FoxNews] Chang urges US to 'stop underwriting' China amid rising tension.
Chinese President Xi Jinping may be on the verge of doing something "horrendous" after sending two "war signals" within 10 days of each other, says one expert.
Gordon Chang, senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute and author of ‘Plan Red: China’s Project to Destroy America,’ joined FOX Business' "Mornings with Maria" on Thursday to discuss the U.S. adversary’s rising aggression.
His comments come after the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China announced that its military had launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Wednesday morning.
The missile, which carried a dummy warhead and was not targeting any particular nation, fell into the ocean without incident. The People's Liberation Army's Rocket Force claims that the launch was part of its routine military training calendar.
"That’s a war signal. That’s a second war signal that we’ve gotten from China in the last 10 days, which means that Xi Jinping is about to do something truly horrendous," Chang warned.
Chang argued that the U.S. needs to "stop underwriting the enemy," and that the country needs a president who will prepare Americans for "what could happen."
"We have a Biden administration that is not willing to talk to the American people about the imminence of what China is prepared to do," he stressed.
Chang went on to mention that Biden "opened the door" to the multiple threats the U.S. is currently facing, including from Russia.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced revisions to the country’s nuclear doctrine. The revised version of the document states that an attack against his country by a nonnuclear power with the "participation or support of a nuclear power" will be seen as a "joint attack on the Russian Federation."
Putin "made those threats prior to invading Ukraine and Biden backed down," Chang explained. "And so, Putin thought, ‘well, clearly, we can do more of this.’"
He went on to mention that the Chinese, as well as the North Koreans, started making new threats following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
"We have China and the most rapid nuclear buildup since the Cold War," Chang said, arguing that U.S. enemies are "thinking of coordinating nuke attacks on the United States."
"God knows, we’re heading into, perhaps, the worst moment in history," he warned.

Given what we know about Chinesecorruption. I would suspect it will occur on an historic date or event given it will be the beginning of Chinas overt attempt at world domination. Probably replacing that date/events. Significance. I don’t think it will be 10/10, that is too obvious. Something more obscure but symbolic. It will occur after the election so they know how to coordinate and use US assets within and outside the country.

Our guys routinely launch ICBMs from Vandenberg Space Force base. That's just up the road apiece from here on the southern California coast. Makes for great light shows in the evenings. Kimmie does it too. Doesn't mean we're going to war.
