Biden convened his Cabinet on Friday for the first time since Oct. 2, 2023 – this time with the first lady joining him to speak about the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research.
The president explained Jill Biden’s presence there, saying, "Here and across previous administrations, first ladies have attended these meetings for specific reasons. This is the first time Edith Jill has joined us, and it goes to show how important the issue is, which she is about to speak to."
He concluded by handing off to his wife, saying, "It’s all yours, kid."
[FoxNews] Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., issued an ultimatum to North Carolina's GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson following the bombshell report of his alleged porn scandal, saying that he "owes it to President Trump."
"If the reporting on Mark Robinson is a total media fabrication, he needs to take immediate legal action," Tillis said in a Friday post on X.
"If the reporting is true, he owes it to President Trump and every Republican to take accountability for his actions and put the future of NC & our party before himself," he said.

Tillis' statement came after Robinson made a social media video denying his involvement in the scandal and vowing to remain in the race to become the Old North State's governor.
"Let me reassure you, the things that you will see in that story, those are not the words of Mark Robinson. You know my words, you know my character, and you know that I have been completely transparent in this race and before. Folks, this race right now, our opponents are desperate to shift the focus here from the substantive issues and focus on what you are concerned with to salacious trap, tabloid trash," he said in the X video.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Robinson's campaign for comment.
In comments to CNN, Robinson said that this was "not us."
"This is not us. These are not our words. And this is not anything that is characteristic of me," Robinson said. "I’m not going to get into the minutia of how somebody manufactured this, these salacious tabloid lies."

Trump should call someone like Erik Prince and get private security to watch the USSS and assess if they are properly doing their job. Once the USSS know they are being watched I would guess they would actually start doing the job they are paid to do.

Prince has said that no private security firm would take the assignment because their government partners always scape goat the contractors if anything goes wrong. We see a version of that in Pennsylvania. He recommends detailing some Delta guys to work the perimeters because they think like hunters.

[Daily Montanan] When Montanans see an advertisement or hear U.S. Senate candidate and political newcomer Tim Sheehy speak, he’ll likely talk about his experiences as a businessman and pilot who launched an aerial firefighting company in Bozeman. It’s a central part of the campaign and the candidate’s identity.
The Republican who is challenging incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester has built that backstory: First he was a U.S. Navy SEAL, combat wounded, and then a businessman who even wrote a book on aerial firefighting. That book was widely seen as a prelude or introduction of Sheehy as a public figure.
The book, "Mudslingers: A True Story of Aerial Firefighting," was also subtitled, "An American Origins Story." It’s part history, part travelogue and part autobiography, published in 2023 by Permuted Press and distributed by publishing giant Simon and Schuster.
But, the book which has helped solidify his place as a candidate and authority on aerial firefighting seems to have at least four different passages that were plagiarized — sourced, but not credited in the book, according to an investigation by the Daily Montanan....
The Daily Montanan reached out to the Sheehy campaign for further explanation, but heard nothing back from it....
It is not the first time the details of Sheehy’s life before politics have come under scrutiny for their truthfulness. Sheehy’s past, including a gunshot wound that may have been sustained in Glacier National Park, claims of parachute training over Glacier, and his business dealings including his aerial firefighting company, Bridger Aerospace, have come under fire. It’s also not the first time that Sheehy has remained silent when confronted with difficult questions. Sheehy has not openly commented or explained a recording of him in which he repeated on different occasions disparaging comments about Native Americans drinking, even after being called upon by Montana’s tribal leaders to disavow, apologize or explain the comments.
Even the book itself has come under scrutiny: It promises that all of the proceeds from telling the story of aerial firefighters will go back to supporting them. However, as other media outlets have reported, including Business Insider, it appears that the proceeds of the book go back to an aerial firefighting lobbying company which Sheehy himself founded, which in turn, works on behalf of his own company, raising questions about whether the money is really being funneled right back to him....

I think we will not see a statement by ABC. If backed into a corner skillfully, the defense that it was not illegal might be squeezed out of them. If Harris wins the election, someone will document what happened in a celebratory tell all book. That said I don’t think Harris will win and I don’t think we will see another presidential debate moderated by a news organization with an editorial bias.

[Epoch Times] The Georgia Election Board has approved a new rule requiring election workers to hand count ballots in the November election and confirm that the numbers match machine counts before the vote can be certified.
The rule, which was first proposed in August, passed in a 3—2 vote on the morning of Sept. 20, making Georgia the only state in the union to adopt such a requirement as part of its standard vote-counting.
Advocates have framed the proposed rules as common-sense measures to bolster election security. Supporters of the hand-count rule, specifically, have argued it would help increase public trust in the voting process.
Critics, such as the Georgia Association of Voter Registration and Election Officials (GAVREO), say the proposed rules are, on the whole, impractical, poorly written, and inefficient in achieving their intended goals.
"We respectfully ask that these proposed rules, and any other petitions for rulemaking, be tabled until 2025," the group wrote in a Sept. 17 letter to the election board.
[FoxNews] Nearly 98,000 people whose U.S. citizenship has not been confirmed will be allowed to vote in the upcoming state and local elections, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled Friday.
The ruling came after a "coding oversight" in state software prompted the swing state's Democratic Secretary of State Adrian Fontes to insist that he would send out ballots to those affected anyway.
The database error called into question the citizenship status of 100,000 registered Arizona voters, affecting individuals who obtained their driver’s licenses before October 1996, and subsequently received duplicates before registering to vote after 2004.
Fontes and Stephen Richer, the Republican Maricopa County recorder, disagreed on what status the voters should hold following the "coding oversight."
"This was discovered not because somebody was voting illegally and not because somebody was attempting to vote illegally, as far as we can tell," Fontes said at a Tuesday afternoon news conference. "And this was basic voter roll maintenance, and it showed us that there is this issue."
Richer filed a special action Tuesday asking the state Supreme Court to settle the question.
"It is my position that these registrants have not satisfied Arizona’s documented proof of citizenship law, and therefore can only vote a ‘FED ONLY’ ballot," Richer wrote on X.
Arizona's proof of citizenship law uniquely requires voters to prove their citizenship to participate in local and state races.

These SOBs already have a firm grasp on private assets in banks, S&Ls, companies that run money market founds. All such can be seized by the gubmint with no notice. If/when the internet goes down, account holders will generally have no way to assess their funds. Cash buried in the ground is (so far) the safest way to safeguard your savings, and even that has vulnerabilities.

Import 500,000 foreigners that vote in their preferred candidate for Mayor instead of the democrat primary winner. It would great to see ‘Sum Ting Wong’ from mainland China as the next Mayor of DC

This eliminates the failure mode of Ruby recycling the same ballot to meet the desired vote count before the water leak story falls apart. They have to have the correct number of fake ballots. That will be harder than you think. We are not talking about an Ocean’s 11 caliber crew by what I saw.
