[FoxNews] The Aurora Police Department hosted a press conference on Friday after surveillance footage showing a group of armed men in an apartment building garnered national attention last month.
In the presser, APD Chief Todd Chamberlain shared that three of the armed suspected Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members in the video have been served arrest warrants on charges of first-degree burglary and menacing with a firearm. Three more from the video have not been identifiable.
Aurora Police is still actively searching for Andersen Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, and Niefred Serpa-Acosta, 20. Naudi Lopez-Fernandez, 21, is in custody.
Chief Chamberlain said it was a "challenge" to verify gang affiliation with suspected Tren de Aragua members. Tren de Aragua, a transnational prison gang based in Venezuela, has approximately 5,000 members.
"Many of these individuals that we are talking about come from a country which does not have, strong relationships with the United States, comes from a country that does not have, a database that they are going to share or have shared," said Chamberlain. "So being able to identify these actual individuals as TdA gang members has been a struggle.
"At this time, none of the six men [in the video] have been connected to an organized criminal organization," reads an Aurora PD statement shared to X.
Chamberlain also stressed during the conference that the Aurora PD's focus is on criminal behavior. Earlier this month, Aurora announced the arrest of 10 "documented" Tren de Aragua members. Charges from those arrests include child abuse, attempted first-degree murder, illegal discharge of a firearm, and others.
"The Aurora Police Department targets criminals based upon their actions and not on their immigration status," said Chamberlain. "Immigration status is enforced by federal laws, by federal issues."
On September 5, ICE confirmed to Fox News that four Tren de Aragua members arrested in Aurora in relation to a July shooting were in the United States illegally from Venezuela.
Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky insists that the city needs more help from the federal government to address the problem.
"Immigration is the job of the federal government, and that's why we need help," said Jurinsky in an exclusive statement to Fox News Digital.
"Our ICE detention facility will fill up, and then what? Venezuela doesn't just get to decide after clearing out their prisons that they're not going to take anyone back. The federal government needs to provide a plan," added Jurinsky.
"This is not an immigration issue. It's a crime issue," said chief Chamberlain during the press conference. "That is for the federal [government]. The immigration aspect is for the federal, it's for what they focus on. It's what they've done. It's what comes out of federal government. It comes out of the White House."
Since the beginning of the Biden administration, there have been nearly 8 million encounters with illegal aliens at the southwest border, according to the House Committee on Homeland Security.
Fox News' Alicia Acuna asked Aurora PD Chief Todd Chamberlain about the popular narrative about gangs having "taken over" the city during the press conference on Friday.
"I can tell you right now, gangs are not in control of the city of Aurora," answered Chamberlain. "If you walk away with anything, that's what I will say. Are there gangs in the city of Aurora? Yes. There are. Are there gangs in most major cities throughout the United States? 100% there are."
The Aurora Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Thank goodness this only a hypothetical question, as the Republican-controlled House will not pass the measure.

National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby is asked during a press briefing whether the Biden administration supports new legislation being advanced by House progressives to restore funding to UNRWA. Congress passed legislation last year that bars US funding to the agency until March 2025.
Kirby doesn’t go as far as to explicitly back the legislation, but says the US still supports restoring funding in principle.
Clearly not the United States so much as the Democrats.

"We believe that all of those efforts should include, a requirement that the executive branch certify to Congress that UNRWA has implemented the proper policies and procedures, including the vetting of their personnel and any plans that they have for investigating credible reports of violations of those policies and procedures," he adds.
The White House spokesperson notes that the US supported such a provision when Congress crafted the March 2024 appropriations bill, but it was ultimately left out of the legislation, as Republicans along with some Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... backed a ban on UNRWA funding entirely.
"We’re going to look forward to working with other partners — Japan, UK, Italia, Sweden, Germany, Canada and others to ensure that those appropriate safeguards are adequate to the task and to help secure appropriate funding levels for UNRWA’s humanitarian mission," Kirby says.

I wasn't going to write this, but once, long ago in a previous incarnation I was asked to take a job in Gaza. I talked with the previous administrator and he convinced me that I should not do so because the UN operation was evil from top to bottom. I did not take the job and thereafter have had interesting jobs. I followed events in Gaza and the West Bank and can say that American NGOs who have worked there have been complicit in iniquitous activity, and the State Department knows it.

[IsraelTimes] A former Lebanese diplomat accused of being a financier for the Iranian-backed Hezbollah pleads guilty to evading US financial sanctions against him and his terror organization.
Mohammad Ibrahim Bazzi, 60, who holds Lebanese, British and Belgian citizenship, pleads guilty in a federal court in New York to conspiracy to conduct unlawful transactions with an international terrorist, according to a statement from the US Department of Justice.
Bazzi had "claimed the credit for his role in conspiring to secretly move hundreds of thousands of dollars from the United States to Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... in violation of sanctions placed on him for assisting the terrorist group Hezbollah," US prosecutor Breon Peace says.
Bazzi faces up to 20 years imprisonment, as well as deportation and forfeiture of the $828,528 involved in illegal transactions.
No sentencing date has been set.
The State Department in May 2018 had declared Bazzi to be a "specially designated global terrorist" and offered a $10 million reward for information leading to his capture.
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has said Bazzi "has provided millions of dollars to Hezbollah over the years, generated from his business activities in Belgium, Lebanon, Iraq and throughout West Africa."
In February 2023, he was arrested in Romania and extradited to the US.
The US attorney’s statement says Bazzi had worked with an accomplice, Talal Chahine, who remains on the loose in Lebanon.
According to investigative journalism outlet ProPublica, Bazzi was appointed honorary consul in Lebanon by the government of Gambia ... The Gambia is actually surrounded by The Senegal on all sides but its west coast. It has a population of about 1.7 million. The difference between the two is that in colonial days Senegal was ruled by La Belle France and The Gambia (so-called because there's only one of it, unlike Guinea, of which there are the Republic of Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, New Guinea, the English coin in circulation between 1663 and 1813, and Guyana, which sounds like it should be another one) was ruled by Britain... in 2005. The volunteer diplomat role helped him access unique connections and benefits, which can be ripe for abuse.

The UN is an awfully big organization. Who exactly says this, and what power do they have to do anything about it? I’m willing to bet the answers are nobody in particular and none.
And so it proves. The Times of Israel adds:
“International humanitarian law prohibits the use of booby-trap devices in the form of apparently harmless portable objects," the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, tells the Security Council, adding that it "is a war crime to commit violence intended to spread terror among civilians."

[IsraelTimes] Uriel Buso says injured attackers treated in Israel have provided valuable information that helped rescue hostages from Gaza
Health Minister Uriel Buso on Monday defended the provision of medical care to captured Gazook terrorists, saying that some have assisted Israel Defense Forces troops on the ground during missions to bring back hostages.
At a health conference, Buso talked about how Israel dealt with maimedmurderous Moslems it captured during the initial Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... onslaught, when the terror group led thousands of murderous Moslems in a massive cross-border attack from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip on southern Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians. Terrorists also kidnapped 251 people as hostages to Gaza.
Buso explained that although the IDF set up a special facility to treat maimedmurderous Moslems it captured from the October 7 attack, some were brought to Israeli hospitals for specialized treatment.
He said that there is a legal obligation to treat everyone, but in addition, there is also a benefit to treating murderous Moslems as they can then be interrogated for information.
"At the end of the day, the system has to treat everyone who comes under its auspices. A doctor who has been in the health system for 30 years explained to me that murderous Moslems whose condition had stabilized were brought in for questioning, and [with that information] we knew how to save lives," Buso told the Yedioth Ahronoth Health Conference.
"Some of those murderous Moslems treated in the system entered with [troops] into Gaza, into tunnels," in the search for hostages, he said. He added, "We take them for treatment in order to stabilize them, not to give them a massage."
The information gleaned is saving the lives of "hundreds, and thousands of soldiers" in Gaza, Buso asserted, a principle he claimed applies in all situations when dealing with terrorists.
"How can you know if he a member of a cell, was he on his way to do something else, if there is a ticking bomb," Buso said. "The hospital stabilizes him" so that he can be questioned. "It really saves lives."
Earlier in the year, the Shin Bet published an image of an operation to recover the bodies of five slain hostages from the Gaza Strip, showing a detained Paleostinian aiding members of the security agency to locate the tunnel where the remains were held.
At the conference, Buso revealed the health system had been preparing for the possibility of a large-scale attack in the south. A few months before October 7, the Soroka Medical Center examined a scenario of receiving 300 casualties a day.
"In fact, they had 1,000 in 24 hours," Buso said of October 7.
The #Israeli military says it has opened an investigation after videos show soldiers pushing what appear to be dead bodies off a roof in the occupied #WestBank during a raid against Palestinian militants.https://t.co/UPj1G8AeUZ
The Israeli military said on Friday it had opened an investigation after videos showed soldiers pushing what appear to be dead bodies off a roof in the occupied West Bank during a raid against Palestinian militants.
The videos, which began circulating online on Thursday, showed three soldiers on the roof of a building in the town of Qabatiya, dragging, pushing, throwing and in one case kicking what appear to be dead men off the edge.
Zakaria Zakarneh, the uncle of one of the men, said he saw what had happened. Israeli soldiers had gone to the roof after the Palestinians were killed, he told Reuters.
“They tried to move the bodies down with a bulldozer but it didn’t work so they threw them from the second floor down to the ground,” he said. “I was in pain, very sad and angry I was unable to do anything,” Zakarneh said. Pretend they were gay, Zakaria. Then you would be happy?
Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video as Qabatiya and confirm the date from eyewitness accounts and video filmed by local Palestinian news organizations showing the same scene.
The Israeli military said in a statement the incident was serious and was not in keeping with its values.
The US said it had seen the video and immediately reached out to Israeli authorities, who promised to investigate and ensure accountability.
“We found it deeply disturbing. If it’s proven to be authentic, it clearly would depict abhorrent and egregious behaviour by professional soldiers,” White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters in a briefing. STFU Kirby. Remember: "Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe," Kirby said in the email chain.?
In a separate statement, the Israeli military said that on Thursday its soldiers had killed seven militants in gun battles and an airstrike in Qabatiya.
Violence has surged in the West Bank since the start of the war in Gaza nearly a year ago, with almost daily sweeps by Israeli forces that have involved thousands of arrests and regular gun battles between security forces and Palestinian fighters, as well as attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinian communities.
According to the military, Israeli troops killed four button men during the festivities in Qabatiya, after surrounding a building where a wanted Paleostinian was holed up.
During the firefight, the IDF said commandos from the Duvdevan unit used a tactic known as "pressure cooker" that involves escalating the volume of fire directed at a building to force a suspect to come out.
Three assault rifles and other weapons were seized from their bodies, the IDF said.
The IDF said that one of those killed in Qabatiya was Shadi Zakarneh, and identified him as "responsible for directing and carrying out attacks in the northern West Bank area."
It said he was "the head of the terrorist organization" in Qabatiya but did not specify which group he belonged to.
Photos captured by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named during the raid showed an IDF bulldozer moving near the building where the bodies were dropped.
When withdrawing from raids, the army usually leaves behind any Paleostinians killed by Israeli fire, though it occasionally brings dead bodies into Israel.
Under international law, soldiers are supposed to ensure dead bodies, including those of enemy combatants, are treated decently.
Since October 7, troops have arrested some 5,000 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,000 affiliated with Hamas ..a regional Iranian catspaw,... .
According to the Paleostinian Authority’s health ministry, more than 670 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or faceless myrmidons carrying out attacks.
During the same period, 33 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another six members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank.

[IsraelTimes] Sources say Lebanese terror group checked devices before distribution; screening of walkie-talkies was underway on Wednesday as those devices exploded
The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah was still handing its members new Gold Apollo branded pagers hours before thousands of the devices blew up this week, two security sources said, indicating the group was confident they were safe despite an ongoing sweep of electronic equipment to identify threats.
One member of the Iranian-backed organization received a new pager on Monday that went kaboom! the next day while it was still in its box, one of the sources said. A pager given to a senior member just days earlier injured a subordinate when it detonated, another source said.
A batch of 5,000 of the pagers were brought into Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... earlier this year. Rooters previously reported that Hezbollah began transitioning to pagers in an attempt to evade Israeli surveillance of its mobile phones, following the killing of senior commanders in targeted Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s over the past year.
Hezbollah had been importing pagers to Lebanon since 2022. The group had them examined by traveling through airports with them to ensure they would not trigger alarms, two sources told Rooters without specifying at which airports these tests were conducted.
Rather than a specific suspicion of the pagers, the checks had been part of a routine "sweep" of its equipment, including communications devices, to find any indications that they were laced with explosives or surveillance mechanisms, one source said.
Another source had told Rooters that the pagers had been implanted with explosives that were difficult to detect. A different source told Rooters that up to three grams (0.11 ounce) of explosives had been hidden in the new pagers, apparently months before the blasts.
WALKIE-TALKIES
Hezbollah suspected after the Tuesday explosions that more of its devices may have been compromised, two security sources, as well as an intelligence source, told Rooters.
In response, it intensified the sweep of its communications systems, carrying out careful examinations of all devices. The group also began investigating the supply chains through which the pagers were brought in, the two security sources said.
But the review had not been concluded by Wednesday afternoon when the hand-held radios went kaboom!, killing 25 people and injuring at least 650.
Hezbollah believes that Israel opted to detonate the group’s hand-held radios because it feared Hezbollah would soon find that the walkie-talkies were also rigged with explosives, one of the sources told Rooters.
The larger fatality rate attributed to the walkie-talkie attack in comparison to the pager attack is because the former devices carried a higher payload of explosives than the latter, one of the security sources and the intelligence source said.
The batteries of the walkie-talkies were laced with a highly explosive compound known as PETN, another Lebanese source familiar with the device’s components told Rooters on Friday.
Pictures of the walkie-talkies that had went kaboom! showed labels reading "ICOM" and "made in Japan". Icom 6820.T has said it halted production a decade ago of the radio models identified in the attack, and that most of those still on sale were counterfeit.
Yoshiki Enomoto, the general manager of Icom’s security and trade division, told Rooters it was possible that an older Icom device had been modified to make a bomb.
It would be difficult to insert an bomb into the main compartment of the walkie-talkie because its electronics are tightly packed, so it was more likely to have been in the detachable battery pack, Enomoto told the Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV.
A Lebanese source told Rooters that explosions had occurred even in cases where the battery pack was separated from the rest of the device.
In total, the consecutive attacks killed 37 people, including at least two children, and injured more than 3,600 people.
INVESTIGATIONS
The Saudi news outlet al-Hadath reported Thursday that Hezbollah has begun arresting people on suspicion of involvement with the attacks, including the brother of a senior member of the terrorist organization and the Hezbollah member responsible for the group’s communication devices.
The report added that the Lebanese army has been detonating Hezbollah communication devices and requesting that citizens report on devices they find and stay away from them.
The Lebanese news site al-Janubiyeh reported that the Lebanese justice ministry will cooperate with Hezbollah in its investigation into the earth-shattering kabooms.
Lebanon and Hezbollah say Israel was behind the attacks. A Western security source told Rooters this week that Israel’s secretive military intelligence Unit 8200 was involved in the planning. Israel, which has since stepped up airstrikes on Lebanon, has neither denied nor confirmed involvement.
The attacks, and the distribution of the devices despite the routine sweep and checks for breaches, have struck at Hezbollah’s reputation as the most formidable of Iran’s allied ’Axis of Resistance®’ umbrella of anti-Israel irregular forces across the Middle East.
In a televised speech on Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary-General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...> said the attacks were "unprecedented in the history" of the group.
Hezbollah’s probe into precisely where, when and how the devices were laced with explosives is ongoing, three sources told Rooters. Nasrallah later said the same in his speech on Thursday.
One of the security sources said Hezbollah had foiled previous Israeli operations targeting devices imported from abroad by the group — from its private landline telephones to ventilation units in the group’s offices.
That includes suspected breaches in the past year.
"There are several electronic issues that we were able to discover but not the pagers," the source said. "They tricked us, hats off to the enemy." "Along with the tops of several heads"
