[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Hundreds swarm barbed wire fence after throwing rocks at Moroccan guards following social media call to force their way into Spanish enclave.
Hundreds of migrants scaled barbed wire fences in a desperate attempt to storm into a Spanish enclave in Morocco before being pushed back by riot cops.
The swarm of people, including Moroccans and minors, were seen throwing rocks at security forces as they tried to break into Spain's African enclave of Ceuta, near Fnideq in northern Morocco, on Sunday.
Local media reported another mass crossing attempt was also made earlier on Sunday, but was similarly intercepted by Moroccan police.
Sunday was a day of high tension in the area after hundreds of people gathered at the border following reported calls on social media for a collective breach attempt.
The young migrants were mostly Moroccans, but some were from other areas of Africa, the Spanish news agency EFE reported at the time.
The Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla are the only land borders between Africa and the European Union and both have witnessed mass influxes of migrants attempting to try to cross the border to reach the EU.
'The security authorities deported 2,400 people who were likely to try to migrate illegally ''within three days'',' reported Hespress on Sunday, citing an unnamed official source.
'They were arrested while heading towards Fnideq in preparation for emigrating to Ceuta.'
Since Friday, Moroccan security forces have been deployed heavily in Fnideq.
'This is the heaviest security deployment ever in Fnideq with authorities acting pre-emptively by setting up multiple checkpoints on roads to northern Morocco,' Mohammed Ben Aissa, a local human rights activist said.
A police source told the AFP that 60 people had been arrested between Monday and Wednesday for 'fabricating and disseminating false information on social media' to encourage a collective illegal border crossing.
September 15, or, 'The Promised Day' saw widespread social media calls for mass migration from Morocco to Ceuta.
The viral messages, spread primarily through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, urged Moroccan youths to gather in the border town of Fnideq and then attempt to illegally cross en masse into Ceuta via the El Tarajal border.
According to Morocco World News, the posts encouraged followers to swim or walk across the border into Ceuta on Sunday, using emojis including Moroccan and Spanish flags.
These 'publicly announced invitations' triggered questions of how such secretive operations would be advertised so openly, inducing thousands of Moroccan youths to flock to Fnideq in preparation for what was locally dubbed the 'Great Escape'.
In response to the 'Great Escape' planned by Moroccan youths, Spain has been forced to mobilise additional military reinforcements to the coast of Ceuta.
And across the border, members of the Spanish Civil Guard and National Police have increased their deployment along the border strip, using helicopters to monitor the border fence.
The Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla are the only land borders between Africa and the European Union and both have witnessed mass influxes of migrants attempting to try to cross the border to reach the EU.
Local reports stated that hundreds of young Moroccans had managed to get as far as Fnideq, the town nearest to Ceuta, before police apprehended them in the night and sent them back to their homes.
The Moroccan interior ministry said that in August, authorities blocked more than 11,300 attempts to cross into Ceuta and 3,300 to Melilla.
But the most popular route from Morocco for migrants hoping to reach Spain is by sea.
More than 22,300 migrant arrivals were registered this year by August 15 in the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, marking a 126-percent increase from 2023.
Some attempted to breach a border fence that has long been a flashpoint for sporadic migration tensions, but none successfully made it into Spain, the Spanish Interior Ministry confirmed Monday.
It said Spanish and Moroccan security efforts over recent days 'allowed the situation to be brought under control.'
Morocco and Spain have worked to strengthen cooperation on addressing illegal migration since repairing a diplomatic rift in 2022 over Rabat's plans for autonomy for Western Sahara.
Morocco's interior ministry says that in the first eight months this year, authorities stopped more than 45,000 people from illegally entering European territory.
Last month, hundreds of migrants used thick mist as cover to swim to Ceuta, Spanish police said.
In June 2022, human rights organisations in Spain and Morocco called on both countries to investigate after 23 migrants were killed when around 2,000 people tried to breach the border.
Tighter surveillance of Morocco's northern borders has now prompted an increasing number of migrants to try the riskier and longer Atlantic route to the Canary Islands.

Declare Morocco a safe country
The problem with the Spanish enclaves is that, like Turkey at the Greek border, Morocco has for years weaponized the border crossers, corralling them until Morocco wants to punish/annoy Spain, then letting them loose all at once to overwhelm the border fence.
[AlArabiya] The withdrawal of US troops from Niger is complete, an American official said Monday.
A small number of military personnel assigned to guard the US Embassy remain, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told reporters.
Earlier this year, Niger’s ruling junta ended an agreement that allowed US troops to operate in the West African country. A few months later, officials from both countries said in a joint statement that US troops would complete their withdrawal by the middle of September.
The US handed over its last military bases in Niger to local authorities last month, but about two dozen American soldiers had remained in Niger, largely for administrative duties related to the withdrawal, Singh said Read the rest at the link

[AlArabiya] US officials say the joint US-Iraq raid was one of largest in recent years
Four top ISIS leaders were killed in Iraq during last month’s raid, the US military said on Friday, in what was a rare public acknowledgment by the Pentagon of such a large-scale operation.
An initial statement by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) said that the Aug. 29 raid resulted in the death of 15 ISIS operatives. On Friday, CENTCOM said that an ongoing post-raid assessment showed four senior ISIS leaders were killed, including the head of manufacturing for ISIS in Iraq.
There had been a $5 million reward for information on Abu Ali al-Tunisi’s whereabouts from the US because of his work with ISIS. He is also accused of providing advanced training on weapons development and manufacturing chemical weapons. Read the rest at the link
[NYPost] Hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists were seriously wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they used to communicate exploded around their belts and pockets.
Hezbollah officials confirmed the wide-range attack on its operatives, including fighters and medics, with one member, speaking on the condition of anonymity, calling it the "biggest security breach" since it began its daily attacks on Israel on Oct. 8.
Videos uploaded to social media show several incidents where seemingly unaware men had devices in their pockets blow up, with the victims crying in pain as bystanders ran away.
Update at 2:05p.m. ET:
Thousands of Hezbollah terrorists were injured in southern Lebanon on Tuesday when their new pagers all simultaneously exploded — causing horrifying burns to their groins and hands as the devices detonated on their belts and in their pockets.
Lebanese officials said 2,800 people were injured and eight killed in what Hezbollah officials claimed was a hacking attack by Israel.
The devices that detonated were all the latest models acquired by Hezbollah in recent months and distributed to its members, with the devices suspected of being tampered with, three security sources told Reuters.
The terror groups’ leader, Hassan Nasrallah had previously warned his fighters not to carry cell phones, telling them they could be used to track their movements or carry out some kind of targeted strike.
The terror group had switched from cell phones to pagers to communicate with its militants because of fears that the cellular network had been compromised by Israeli agents.
The terror groups’ leader, Hassan Nasrallah had previously warned his fighters not to carry cell phones or pagers, telling them they could be used to track their movements and carry out precision strikes.
Residents said the explosions continued to occur even 30 minutes after the initial blast.
Although with the attack in Beirut, the Hezbollah official said pagers were also being detonated in south Lebanon.
The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed the number of dead and injured before Tuesday afternoon.

Israel Update:
Something major is going on and I was habitant to post it as it’s not known exactly.
Today Israeli Shabak (the Israeli FBI) published that they find explosives at Tel Aviv with an activation system that enables Hezbollah to activate it from Lebanon. It was directed at a retired senior figure from the Security Establishment (probably an ex-Chief of Staff). It was suppose to be a part of the revenge of the assasination of their Chief of Staff some months ago.
At the same time there are lengthy meetings of the War Cabinet with Mossad and other branches.
A senior person close to Netanyahu said : “We are mid a major event right now”.
There has been a lot of talk between Israel and the US in which Israel said that we can’t continue the situation with Hezbollah as it is.
Now, 9:15 US East time I am getting a wave of reports from Beirut Lebanon of the beeper communication systems of Hezbollah exploding and many Hezbollah people injured. Something very weird but images are coming of injured Hezbollah people all over Lebanon.
It may be a preliminary step to a major war with Hezbollah. Apparently their communication systems were breached and there are over a thousand injured maybe some killed too we are still receiving new updates and a major panic going in Lebanon. This is likely a Mossad operation. See videos.

Security sources contacted by Clash Report confirm that Israel has planted explosives inside pagers supplied to Hezbollah.
At least 3 types of pagers were planted with bombs:
Motorola LX2
Teletrim
Gold Apollo Rugged Pager AR924
Mossad planted a quantity of highly explosive PETN material on the pagers’ battery and detonated it by raising the temperature of the battery enough to detonate it, Sky News Arabia confirms.
Mossad was able to access Hezbollah's pagers before they were handed over to them.

Somewhere outside of Beruit there's a storage building missing a wall, where they stored the pagers to hand out.
(These can't have been made up onesie-twosie, there had to be a batch premade. The smoking hole is the storage facility.)

Times of Israel says 20 gr of PETN placed along the lithium battery, and then 'pinged' them numerous times to heat them up.
Some survivors said the pagers started to get hot, so they set the pager down.
The pagers were handed out recently on order from Nasrallah, who was concerned the IDF could track cell phones.

Mossad did for one big turban a while back by setting up a phone shop in Beirut with the best deals- and- service ever. When the target came in, they sold him a new out of the box phone, then faulted it. He brought it in for service, they planted a boom in it- then:
Mahmoud?
Yeah?
That you Mahmoud?
Yeah hey speak up … can’t hear you

Dozens of members of Hezbollah were seriously wounded on Tuesday in Lebanon's south and the southern suburbs of Beirut when the pagers they use to communicate exploded, security sources told Reuters.
A Reuters journalist saw hundreds of Hezbollah members bleeding from wounds in the southern suburb of Beirut known as Dahiyeh.
According to reports, the pagers were called before the explosion for some period of seconds to increase the chance that whoever received the call would pick it up and be maximally wounded. Shortly before the explosions, there were reports of a special meeting between Mossad Director David Barnea and Netanyahu.
The news comes only hours after the Shin Bet revealed that Hezbollah recently attempted to assassinate a top former Israeli defense official in Tel Aviv.
The situation is far from clear and developing, but given the juxtaposition in the timing and the last few hysterical hours in Israel about a security situation with Lebanon, did Israel just carry out only its second attack on Hezbollah in Beirut of the nearly year-long war in retaliation for the Lebanese terror group's failed assassination attempt?
The last time Israel attacked Beirut was on July 30, when it assassinated Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukr in retaliation for the terrorists' killing of around a dozen Israeli-Druze in Majdal Shams via rocket attacks in the North.
This almost led to a full-scale war between the sides on August 25. Still, the IDF managed a preemptive strike that substantially reduced Hezbollah's ability to fire more than a fraction of the rockets that it had wanted to use to attack Israel, including northern Tel Aviv.

A Hezbollah official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the detonation of the pagers was the “biggest security breach” the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.
A Reuters journalist saw ambulances rushing through the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut amid widespread panic. Residents said explosions were taking place even 30 minutes after the initial blasts.
Groups of people huddled at the entrance of buildings to check on people they knew who may have been wounded, the Reuters journalist said.
The security source added that devices were also exploding in the south of Lebanon.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military, which has been exchanging fire with Hezbollah since last October in parallel with the Gaza war.

I keep saying Mossad are the scariest people on the planet.
🚨 Breaking: Tens of Hezbollah communication devices are exploding during the past hour. Initial reports state that over one hundred Hezbollah terrorists already injured.
🇱🇧🇮🇱Israel Prepares for Counterattack: Number of Victims of Massive Explosion of Pagers in Lebanon Already Nearly 3,000
▪Almost 5,000 pagers exploded almost simultaneously in Lebanon and Syria.
▪"The latest model of pagers introduced by Hezbollah in recent months exploded, security sources said," Reuters writes.
▪One version of the causes of the mass explosion is a hack, when the protection board on the battery is disconnected and it explodes.
➖The second version is the import of pre-mined devices to local markets by Israeli intelligence.
➖The third version is a hack of the built-in self-destruction system of devices, built into Hezbollah devices in case of loss.
▪One of the victims is Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani. He received a slight injury, there is no threat to his life.

"It was unclear whether the ambassador was in the vicinity of someone carrying one of the tampered pagers or whether Amani was carrying one himself.
It was later reported by Al Jazeera, citing Arab media sources, that Amani's injuries were "superficial."

Now over 3600 wounded, JPost quoting Lebanese health officials. Victims also in Syria and Iraq.
Hoping to protect key personnel from Israeli retaliation? I suppose it might work…for a while.
[Breitbart] Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... is bolstering its influence in Iraq by moving in leaders of its proxy terrorist organizations Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... and the Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... i Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... movement, the left-wing New York Times
...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported on Sunday — days after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian concluded a visit to the neighboring country.
Pezeshkian, elected in a special election following the death of predecessor Ebrahim Raisi in a mysterious helicopter crash in May, made a tour of Iraq his first international visit while in office. Pezeshkian departed the country on Friday after visiting Baghdad, meeting with Kurdish leadership in Erbil, and concluding with a stop in Basra. He emphasized unity and cooperation among Moslem political entities during his conversations there and reportedly signed 14 memoranda of understanding with the Iraqi government in Baghdad.
The Iraqi government has not openly boasted of helping its proxies expand their influence in Baghdad. The New York Times noted that it only confirmed the official presence of Hamas and the Houthis in the Iraqi capital via unnamed officials and that both terrorist organizations are attempting to keep a low profile in the country. The Houthis, as a Shiite terrorist organization, has reportedly received an especially "warm" welcome from the Shiite terrorist coalition known as the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which became an official arm of the Iraqi armed forces during the war against the Sunni Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... "caliphate."
"Iraqi government officials quietly allowed both Iranian-backed gangs [Hamas and the Houthis] to establish a more permanent presence in Baghdad early this summer," the Times reported, claiming that "Iraqi officials deny publicly" this has occurred.
The erosion of American influence in the country under currently President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The man who made Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter look competent, if only by comparison.... appears to have played a role in the hard boyz moving in, as the Times sources indicated Baghdad would rather not have Iran’s proxies grow roots there.
"Some Iraqi government officials, according to two of the people who spoke to The New York Times, say privately they are not thrilled about their new guests, but did not have the power to block them," the leftist newspaper asserted, "given the sway of the Iraqi political parties with ties to Iran."
The PMF are reportedly deeply involved in ensuring that Hamas and the Houthis can successfully operate in the country. According to the Times, Kata’ib Hezbollah, one of the most prominent Shiite terrorist groups in the PMF, has helped Hamas with security, while fellow PMF terror squad Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq have helped the Houthis.
While the Iraqi government has formally avoided loudly discussing the invasion of foreign terrorist organizations, radical Islamist politicians in Iraq have embraced it; the Times noted the Houthis found in Iraq an "especially warm" welcome.
"The presence of a representative of the Houthis in Iraq is welcomed by all political parties in Iraq," it quoted one Shiite politician, Saad al-Saadi, as saying.
Adding to the Times’ reporting, the news outlet Israel Hayom reported on Sunday that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) — a U.S.-designated terrorist organization and formal arm of the Iranian government — presided over an oversight "operations committee" in Iraq in March to help its terrorist proxies coordinate with each other. The committee reportedly brought together several PMF groups and the Houthis.
"Subsequently, in May, the Houthi leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, announced the beginning of coordination of military operations between his militia, Ansar Allah, and pro-Iranian Shiite militias in Iraq," Israel Hayom added.
The IRGC has for years been closely linked to Iraq’s PMF. The terrorist organization has long used its Quds Force, a wing of the IRGC dedicated to foreign terrorist attacks, to coordinate with PMF jihadists, particularly for anti-American operations. The pioneer of such coordination was former Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani , whom former President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... killed in a Baghdad Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... in January 2020. Notably, Soleimani was killed alongside the founder of Kata’ib Hezbollah, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, with whom he was meeting to coordinate tactics in Iraq.
The reported growing presence of Iranian proxy terror groups has corresponded with Iraqi officials more frequently grumbling that they hope to see the complete elimination of the presence of American troops in the country as soon as possible. The United States currently has an estimated 2,500 troops stationed in the country as part of "Operation Inherent Resolve," the initiative to eradicate the Islamic State "caliphate."
On Thursday, the Washington Post reported that Baghdad was attempting to finalize an agreement with the Pentagon that would eliminate the U.S. presence in most of Iraq by 2025, leaving a small number of troops in the autonomous region of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) through 2026. Iraqi officials working to remove American troops is reportedly a response of pressure from PMF forces and the Iranian government to minimize American influence in the region. That pressure has fallen on both Baghdad and Erbil, the KRG capital.
