[FoxNews] A Navy veteran in California has been entertaining the local community with his creative bubble performances for over 10 years. "entertaining" by taking over a public lawn
But Sandy Snakenberg, known as the "Bubble Pirate," was donning his pirate costume and performing his usual bubble show at La Jolla Cove in San Diego last week when he was issued a ticket by park officials, he told Fox News Digital.
The ticket alleges that Snakenberg, 63, violated San Diego’s municipal code against littering due to the fluid from his bubbles.
Snakenberg said in a phone interview that he asked the park ranger to note that the liquid was from bubbles, but the officer did not do so, he said.
The ticket mandates that Snakenberg appear in court in October.
Snakenberg told Fox News Digital he is a disabled Navy veteran who has traveled all over the world for a variety of jobs in his life.
He makes his living from his bubble artistry and entertainment, he said. The van with all of his equipment and props doubles as his home. "homeless"
"I was becoming more involved with bubbles, more professionally, making my own juices, my own devices. I did a Ted talk while in Singapore," he said.
Lately, said Snakenberg, vendors and artists in the community have been getting "herded" into designated four feet-by-eight feet areas by officials. That's the point. The vendors take up public sidewalks and block traffic. One rule for all
"They're making everybody fight for these four by eight spaces, which are limited," he said.
"They are not in locations the artists would have chosen for themselves. I choose my location for safety reasons, both environmental and public, because if my bubbles go flying off into the streets, so will the kids."
A City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital via email, "The City of San Diego values the rights of community members to engage in expressive activity in City parks, including artistic expression. This does require those engaging in these activities to do so in accordance with other City codes and regulations, including those related to littering and disposal of waste."
The spokesperson added, "In this instance, Park Rangers attempted to educate the individual numerous times that the residual substances from the bubbles are in violation of the City’s municipal code as it relates to littering (SDMC 63.0102(c)(8) Littering). The individual uses up to six gallons of liquid per day with the residual chemicals ending up in the lawn areas, which can cause damage to the grass."
"After witnessing numerous violations and receiving complaints from other park users, Rangers issued the lowest level citation available."

I dont hide my dislike for LEO - because of stuff like this. Cops ticket low hanging fruits, the easy to fleece middle class marks. Right around the corner from La Jolla Cove is Rose Canyon - a homeless encampment in La Jolla.
Here's the SDNews headline: Bicyclists feel unsafe riding through Rose Creek Bike Path
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The Toronto Police Service's first black female superintendent has been hit with a two-year demotion following a scandal that saw her help other black members of the force cheat a promotional process.
Officer Stacy Clarke, a 26-year veteran of the police service, received the penalty at a police tribunal hearing in downtown Toronto Wednesday.
She will now serve as an inspector, down one rank from her old position, officials said. She will also be required to reapply to the rank of superintendent after 24 months, after pleading guilty to professional misconduct last year.
Outside the agency's headquarters, Clarke said she planned to take time with her 17-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son to process the decision.
She ascended to the post in 2020, following stints in the agency's homicide and divisional policing units. She was the focus of an investigation after giving out confidential information to six black constables before their promotional interviews.

If she’s competent for the job, it oughtn’t be a problem. If she was chosen for her racial and s3xual identity instead, it’s as destructive a problem as if a white man were chosen only for that reason… or because he or she is the big boss’s idiot nephew/niece.
Competence über alles, followed immediately by ability to work with others as much as the job requires. Anything else is unserious.
[NYPOST] Former Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby was out partying with friends, supporters and family members at an event located several miles from her home in Baltimore over the weekend despite being ordered by a judge to a year of home detention. "Rules are for little people. Don't you know who I AM?"
Mosby was convicted on one count of mortgage fraud in February after she testified that she unintentionally made false statements on loan applications to buy two Florida vacation homes.
In November, she was convicted of two counts of perjury by a federal jury after she falsely claimed financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to withdraw money from the city's retirement fund.
A judge sentenced Mosby to a year of home detention and three years of supervised release in May.
Mosby posted a video on Instagram on Thursday of her with family and friends at a ''thank-you barbecue'' in Clarksville, Maryland.
In the video slideshow, Mosby is seen wearing an ankle monitor.
The court-ordered home detention requires Mosby to remain confined to her home in Fells Point as well as communal areas at her apartment complex, according to FOX 45 in Baltimore.
He got good people hurt and killed, both ours and others. Not-so-good people too, but that also put the good ones at additional risk.
[Townhall] A new Inspector General report shows President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Too old and senile to be prosecuted, not too old and senile to set national policy... was warned that building a "humanitarian pier" in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip would fail as a result of rough seas and other logistical issues. Biden ignored the warnings and for the sake of virtue signaling, demanded the $230 million taxpayer funded pier be built anyway.
"Discussions about establishing a pier to deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza took place before President Biden’s announcement at the State of the Union on March 7. According to a senior BHA official, interagency discussions had considered options for commercial and DoD-supported piers to establish a maritime corridor into Gaza. At the time, BHA advocated for transporting aid through land routes and did not pursue planning a maritime route because of the logistical and technical challenges it would present," the report states.
Making matters worse, Gazooks didn't want the pier -- a warning issued before construction -- and Biden demanded the project move forward.
"Security concerns also significantly impacted the distribution of humanitarian assistance delivered through JLOTS. Before its launch, WFP highlighted in its USAID award documentation that lack of community buy-in among Paleostinians for the maritime corridor could result in significant safety and security risks and compromise its operations," the report states.

[FoxNews] The Harris-Walz campaign has hired liberal activist the Rev. Jennifer Butler to be its new head of faith outreach, with Butler confirming the appointment on social media and in an interview with Religion News Service.
Butler is a longtime liberal activist who argued in 2022 that White supremacists have "hijacked" the Christian faith, and has said that faith calls us to "resist." She is the founder of the nonprofit Faith in Public Life, which claims to advance the "moral imperative for a just, inclusive and equitable country." She now runs a campaign seeking to root out White nationalism within the Christian faith.
"I bring a broad set of relationships that I think can help, very quickly, pull a broad coalition together," Butler told Religion News Service (RNS) on Wednesday. "I also recognize that we're at a pivotal moment in American democracy where faith voices for justice are needed now more than ever— The Harris-Walz campaign is a really unique opportunity to shift the debate, to engage all of those who are concerned about what a Trump presidency would mean, the work of this campaign and what it can do to transform America."
[FoxNews] New standards include fingerprinting of sponsors.
Good. Also photos and DNA, one hopes, and both from the illegals applying for asylum…or what ever it is that they’e applying for.
The Biden administration on Thursday announced that it is restarting a controversial parole policy that allows tens of thousands of migrants into the United States each month – after it was put on hold last month after revelations about significant amounts of fraud within part of the program.
The Department of Homeland Security said it is resuming the parole processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans (CHNV) after it "incorporated additional vetting of U.S.-based supporters to strengthen the integrity of the processes."
"With these updated procedures in place, DHS is resuming the issuance of new Advance Travel Authorizations and will closely monitor how this new process is operating moving forward," a spokesperson said.
Fox News Digital first reported this month that the administration paused the issuing of advance travel authorizations in July for the program, which allows 30,000 nationals from those countries to travel into the U.S. each month and enter legally under the administration's use of parole since early 2023.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to Fox News Digital at the time that "out of an abundance of caution" it has stopped issuing the authorizations and that it takes abuse of processes very seriously.
The pause came after an internal report, parts of which have been made public by the Federation of American Immigration Reform, found that 100,948 forms were filled out by 3,218 serial sponsors – those whose number appears on 20 or more forms.
It also found that 24 of the 1,000 most used numbers belonged to a dead person. Meanwhile, 100 physical addresses were used between 124 and 739 times on over 19,000 forms. Those addresses included storage units. The focus is on issues with supporter filings, and not with the filings from the beneficiaries of the program themselves.
On Thursday, DHS said the new vetting measures include "further scrutiny of supporters’ financial records and criminal background, additional vetting to identify fraudulent supporter profiles, and bolstered review methods to identify serial filing trends." DHS will also require fingerprints from supporters.
"Together with our existing rigorous vetting of potential beneficiaries seeking to travel to the United States, these new procedures for supporters have strengthened the integrity of these processes and will help protect against exploitation of beneficiaries," the statement said.
The Biden administration has claimed the expanded use of parole processes has led to a drop in illegal border crossings, including a 98% decrease from CHNV nationals compared to December 2022.
But Republicans have slammed the administration’s use of parole, arguing that it represents an abuse of the parole process – which is authorized to be used on a case by case basis for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefits.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., said the resumption was no surprise, despite the fraud revelations.
"The CHNV program, along with the use of the CBP One app at the Southwest border, has helped the president and his border czar play a massive shell game, encouraging otherwise-inadmissible aliens to simply cross at ports of entry instead of between them," he said in a statement. "My Committee has engaged with the department since this pause was announced, and the results were sobering. Instead of scrapping the clearly flawed program, the department is allowing it to continue without rooting out the fraud or putting adequate safeguards in place to prevent exploitation by sponsors here in the United States."
Even if it were not racist in concept and execution, it seems to me that theory of this sort is college level stuff, not appropriate at the primary and much of the secondary level.
Gotta start the brainwashing early
[PostaMillennial] Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed an executive order on Tuesday banning Critical Race Theory (CRT) from being taught in K-12 public schools, saying these teachings were "divisive ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... " and had no place in Louisiana classrooms.
The governor's office wrote in a blurb, "Critical Race Theory (CRT) includes divisive teachings that instruct students to view life through the lens of race and victimhood. Governor Landry believes students should be learning about American exceptionalism and the principles embodied in State and Federal Constitutions of the United States of America that recognize the equal value of every individual."
"This executive order is a much-needed sigh of relief for parents and students across our state, especially as kids are heading back to school," said Landry. "Teaching children that they are currently or destined to be oppressed or to be an oppressor based on their race and origin is wrong and has no place in our Louisiana classrooms. I am confident that under Dr. Brumley's leadership our education system will continue to head in the right direction, prioritizing American values and common-sense teachings."
Republican-controlled states across the US have pushed for similar measures. In 2021, both Florida and Idaho approved legislation that banned critical race theory from entering state-funded classrooms.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said at the time, "Critical Race Theory teaches kids to hate our country and to hate each other. It is state-sanctioned racism and has no place in Florida schools."

The area under the curve, Grom? Tempting. Given current events, I’d plump for three dimensional irregular topography, the reef upon which my hopes for mathematics crashed. Limits are real, as it turns out.

It does more than allow - it puts them at the front of the line. In a 1st come 1st serve system, it basically becomes a program for illegals, period.

Because the most important thing in Cali is to protect the real estate people. This is not about helping illegals buy a house. Who ends up with the money?
