Red Sails in the Sunset
As planned, a ship rests in state on the sand,
And the bits of its bints
In their various tints
In some manly Mohammedan's hand.
[angry Ofmo chants "FDT!" as cuckoo clock strikes thirteen; "This message paid for by Americans for a More Diverse Apocalypse."]
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudan ...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans... 's army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan on Wednesday ruled out a ceasefire until the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) withdraw from occupied cities, rejecting U.S.-backed peace talks set to begin in Geneva.
Hours before U.S.-brokered negotiations were set to begin in Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... , Burhan reiterated his stance during an Army Day address.
''Military operations will not cease until the last militia withdraws from the cities and villages they have violated and colonized,'' Burhan stated.
He also dismissed calls for peace, asserting that ''there can be no peace while the rebel militia occupies our homes.''
The U.S. special envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Sudanese army declined to participate in the Geneva talks. However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth... he emphasized ongoing U.S. efforts to end the conflict and noted the RSF's commitment to negotiations.
Several days ago, Sudanese-American consultations in Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat Frational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start... failed to secure the army's participation in the Geneva talks, with the Sudanese government insisting on the implementation of a previous agreement with the RSF signed in Jeddah in May last year.
Burhan underscored that the path to peace lies in adhering to the Jeddah agreement, which calls for the protection of civilians and safe passage out of conflict zones. Both sides have accused each other of violating the agreement.
The conflict between the army and the RSF, which erupted in April 2023, has resulted in widespread death and displacement, with millions affected.
Burhan further described the RSF's actions are part of a broader ''treacherous aggression'' supported by foreign powers and a ''hired political group,'' referring to the coalition of civilian forces headed by former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok.

[GEO.TV] The UK’s maritime security agency has issued an incident alert following an explosion near a vessel travelling 63 nautical miles (about 116km) southwest of Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah.
According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) alert, the crew and vessel, which was not named, are reported to be safe and are continuing on to their next port of call.
The Houthis missed again, it appears. To be fair, they do miss a lot, but shooting off makes them feel so happy.

"Forces across the country have now made more than 1,000 arrests in connection with the recent violent mostly peaceful disorder," the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) said on X.
At least 575 people have been charged, as courts continue to deal with those involved in the disorder, which occurred across dozens of towns and cities in England and Northern Ireland following the death of three girls in a stabbing on July 29.
Far-right riots took place after misinformation spread about the identity of the alleged perpetrator of the knife attack, with multiple people being nabbed Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! for spreading hate online in recent days.

None arrested during 9 months of pro-Hamas protests.
FYI:. Big fight between US citizens and London Metropolitan Police. A migrant in London stabbed to death 3 little girls and wounded numerous others at a Taylor Swift party. Mass protests resulted in 1000 British citizens being arrested. US citizens posted support for the protesters resulting in London Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley threatening to have American Citizens extradited and prosecuted for supporting the protesters through social media. Thousands of US citizens responded to the London Metropolitan Police Commissioner daring him to extradite them.

[Breitbart] The FBI on Friday arrested Turkish American electrical contractor Gokhan Gun on charges of illegally obtaining and keeping national security documents.
Gun reportedly had dozens of classified documents in his possession and was preparing for a trip to Mexico when he was taken into custody.
The complaint unsealed in Virginia federal court described Gun as an electrical engineer born in Turkey. He arrived in the United States on a work visa in 2001, became a lawful permanent resident in 2012, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2021.
According to his trade association biography, Gun earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from George Mason University, a master’s degree in engineering from George Washington University, and a doctorate in computer science from Southern Methodist University. He began working as a contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) last September.
Gun’s DoD position came with a security clearance and he reportedly had permission to take some of his work materials home. Prosecutors said he began printing documents in bulk and taking them home in May, with little apparent justification for the practice.
The FBI said he printed about 3,400 pages of material during his 11 months on the job, mostly late in the afternoon as he was preparing to head home for the day. Eyewitnesses saw him leaving his office with paperwork rolled up and stuffed into a “partially translucent shopping bag.”
Gun’s vigorous printing schedule included 406 pages of documents during the last week before he was arrested, with 82 top secret markings on them. DoD said his clearance level did not give him permission to take top secret documents home.
Gun was arrested at his Falls Church, Virginia, home – one of four properties he owns, with another in Virginia plus properties in Florida and Texas – as he was preparing to depart for what he described as a fishing vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with some friends. The FBI took him into custody shortly before a ride-hailing service was due to pick him up for first leg of his trip to Mexico.
When FBI agents searched Gun’s home, they found stacks of papers in his dining room, including several documents labeled top secret. Gun told agents that some of the paperwork he took home might have carried “expired” classifications, but at least one of them was printed on Wednesday with what appeared to be current classification markings.
Gun is due to appear in court on charges of illegally obtaining and retaining national defense secrets on August 13. The FBI argued he was a flight risk, given that he was arrested while attempting to leave the country, while his defense lawyers said the trip was an innocent planned vacation with friends.

Only 2 of the 3400 documents were still actively classified. Did the FBI check Hillary Clinton's server before she wiped it? Yes. They also found classified documents on her personal devices and Comey still refused to charge her.
By the way, Puerto Vallarta has great fishing charters.
[Breitbart] City officials in Aurora, Colorado, are closing down a large apartment building today amid rival claims about landlord abuse and a hostile takeover by Venezuala’s Tren de Aragua migrant street gang.
“Tren de Aragua taking over properties and communities in Aurora means that we are not able to be present on this property, or any of our other properties in similar situations, also being impacted by [migrant] gang presence,” said a statement to Breitbart News by an “investor for multiple affected properties in Aurora.” The statement was provided by a spokesman for the Florida-based landlord, CBZ Management.
The owners are “out-of-town slum lords,” Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman responded via 9News.com on August 8:

[Breitbart] A Hindu mob in Ghaziabad, India, attacked a group of Moslems on Friday night, apparently as an act of Dire Revenge for Moslem mobs targeting Hindus in Bangladesh following the ouster of Prime Minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina ...Bangla dynastic politician and now exiled former Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She was President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia showed such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums. That is probably because Khaleda's late husband was the Pak tool who had Mujib assassinated... last week.
Hasina resigned and fled the country last Monday after a month of deadly protests. She was on good terms with India during her 15 years in office, which led some of her detractors to denounce her as a puppet of the Indian government. Mobs in majority-Moslem Bangladesh began attacking Hindus and vandalizing their property after Hasina’s ouster.
According to police in Ghaziabad, located in India’s Uttar Pradesh state, a group of about 20 people belonging to a Hindu nationalist group called Hindu Raksha Dal attacked a cluster of shanties near a railroad station on Friday night and destroyed many of their ramshackle dwellings, known as jhuggis in India. The attackers loudly accused their victims of being Bangladeshi infiltrators during the assault.
Hindu Raksha Dal and its leader, Bhupendra "Pinky" Chowdhary, were accused of several similar assaults over the previous few days. Sometimes they drove off people they accused of being illegal migrants colonists from Bangladesh, and on other occasions, they destroyed, or even burned, the shanties in which their targets dwelled. "Pinky"?
Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra said the people attacked in his town were not immigrants colonists from Bangladesh, but rather natives of Uttar Pradesh.
"I tried to explain to them that these people are not from Bangladesh, but they continued beating them and damaging their shelters," police inspector Sanjiv Kumar said of his encounter with Pinky and his crew on Friday night.

Rocket fired from Gaza falls in sea off Tel Aviv: Israeli army

...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip fell in the sea off Israel's Tel Aviv on Tuesday, Israel's army said, as Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... announced their first attack on the city in months.
"A short while ago, a projectile that was identified crossing from the Gaza Strip fell in the maritime space in central Israel," an army statement said, as an AFP journalist reported hearing a boom in the city at the same time.
The army added that "simultaneously, an additional projectile that did not cross into Israeli territory was identified".

[GEO.TV] Hezbollah has launched multiple rocket volleys at Israel, triggering air raid sirens across multiple border areas.
The Lebanese group confirmed three sets of rocket attacks on Israeli positions, with the first targeting a site in the occupied Kfarchouba hills. A second barrage was directed at "a deployment of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Jal al-Deir site" and a third targeted a military headquarters in Meron.
The Israeli military confirmed that at least 15 rockets were detected entering from Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , which it said fell in open areas and did not cause any casualties.
The Israeli military said in its statement that it also launched air strikes on two rocket launchers that were ready to fire on Israeli positions from southern Lebanon.

[JPost] While approving weapons to Israel, Washington has also tried to arrange a ceasefire deal in Gaza that would potentially stave off a wider Middle East war.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday approved the possible sale to Israel of fighter jets and other military equipment worth over $20 billion, the Pentagon said.
In a statement, the Pentagon said Blinken approved the possible sale of F-15 jets and equipment worth nearly $19 billion. He also approved the possible sale of tank cartridges worth around $774 million and army vehicles worth $583 million, the Pentagon said.
The tank rounds would be almost immediately available for delivery. The Boeing Co F-15 fighter jets would take years to produce and deliver.
The US has staunchly supported Israel as its top Middle East ally prosecutes a war in the Gaza Strip that has devastated the Palestinian enclave. The war was set off by Hamas' Oct. 7 terror attack in southern Israel.
A ceasefire deal
While approving weapons to Israel, Washington has also tried to arrange a ceasefire deal in Gaza that would potentially stave off a wider Middle East war.
Fears of a broader war have increased since the recent killings of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran and Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut. Both drew threats of retaliation against Israel.

[JPost] The IDF has temporarily closed the humanitarian corridor in the Rafah area because Hamas terrorists opened fire on the corridor, rendering it an active combat zone, according to the IDF.
"Terrorist activities in humanitarian areas and population centers disrupt humanitarian coordination and the distribution of aid to Gaza's residents. The IDF will continue to operate in accordance with international law to facilitate and ease the provision of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip."
