I wonder, can a congress individual file a bill in crayon? Of course that raises the further issue of whether they must use the same color throughout.
Just when you thought you had democracy SAVED!, it's right back to the Supreme Court.
Sure, it worked for cigarettes, sex, alcohol, speed limits and migration.
[BBC] New York just passed a law on "addictive" social media feeds for children, but some researchers are questioning what that actually means.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul was clear about her opinion of social media earlier this month, speaking at a press conference to announce the signing of two new state laws designed to protect under-18-year-olds from the dangers the online world.
The apps are responsible for transforming "happy-go-lucky kids into teenagers who are depressed", she said, but according to Hochul, the legislation she signed off on would help. "Today, we save our children," Hochul said. "Young people across the nation are facing a mental health crisis fuelled by addictive social media feeds."
Starting in 2025, these new laws could force apps including TikTok and Instagram to send some children back to the earliest days of social media, before content was tailored by users' "likes" and tech giants collected data about our interests, moods, habits and more. The Stop Addictive Feeds Exploitation (SAFE) for Kids Act requires social media platforms and app stores seek parental consent before children under 18 use apps with "addictive feeds", a groundbreaking attempt to regulate algorithmic recommendations. The SAFE Act will even prevent apps from sending notifications to child or teenage users between midnight and 6am – practically a legal bedtime for devices – and require better age verification to avoid children slipping through undetected. The second law, the New York Child Data Protection Act, limits the information app providers collect about their users.
"By reining in addictive feeds and shielding kids' personal data, we'll provide a safer digital environment, give parents more peace of mind, and create a brighter future for young people across New York," Hochul explained.

If they could design a chip that stopped you from copying from one VCR to another, they can come up with a chip to lock kids out or restrict access. It won't be perfect, but neither are laws about killing or robbing. It becomes a matter of enforcement to abate the problem.
[Yahoo via CFP] The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Monday that former President Donald Trump is entitled to immunity from prosecution for "official acts" taken during his presidency. But in a 6-3 decision along ideological lines, the court also ruled that he does not have immunity for his "unofficial acts" — and that not everything a president does can be considered official, as Trump had claimed.
"The President enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official," Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. "The President is not above the law. But under our system of separated powers, the President may not be prosecuted for exercising his core constitutional powers, and he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for his official acts. Gee, Yahoo, pick a side, no need to be so ... nuanced?
[ZERO] Despite the Supreme Court's direct ruling that "the President is not above the law", President Biden delivered lying remarks to the American people this evening about the "terrible disservice to the people of this nation" that SCOTUS delivered today.

Biden's spital means nothing. To him, criminal illegals are above the law. Procecuting anyone who runs against him means he is above the law. Openly stating in a video that the largest election fraud organization was in place during the 2020 election ment the Biden DNC was above the law.

YES! He did actually say that, but no one was listening.
But less we forget.
Mindless Joe is not the originator of his own thoughts and words. I pray those who conspired and stole the 2020 election, along with JB's Puppet Masters are criminally charged in 2025.
The Nov. 2024 elections, will be the make ,or break point for the USA.

I mean, think about President Kamala Harris.
Same policies as now, but without charm or authority, and an intolerable work atmosphere? Say good chance just her in that position would remove the veneer and cause it all to crash?
Openly stating in a video that the largest election fraud organization was in place during the 2020 election ment the Biden DNC was above the law.
And then afterwards media printing a story not only bragging about it, also its outline.

The next chapter of this is Trump’s sentencing. Will Merchan double down? I think he will.

Easier to control and disrupt or delay an
inauguration. Once he's in the WH, the Deep State and their lieutenants are doomed.
[NYPOST] The ex-head of the state’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports was busted in Queens for drunken driving last week — and allegedly was so plastered that she slammed into parked cars and urinated on herself.
Arlene González-Sánchez, 68, had a blood-alcohol content of .20 — or two and a half times the legal limit of .08 — and at one point she uttered to the cop who pulled her over, "Commissioner," the Queens District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
The former commissioner — who left her top job in 2021 after 10 years — was arraigned Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident and other charges after her Friday night arrest, which happened in the quiet neighborhood of Auburndale, the DA’s office said.
In the criminal complaint, NYPD Officer Christopher Machalek wrote that he heard a loud crash near the intersection of 50th Avenue and Weeks Lane about 10:15 p.m. — just before he noticed several parked cars with badly damaged bumpers.

[FoxNews] Lawsuit comes amid chaos in the Democratic Party as leaders consider whether President Biden should continue with his re-election campaign
The House Judiciary Committee is suing Attorney General Merrick Garland to obtain recordings of President Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.
The committee, as part of the lawsuit filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, stressed the importance of the "verbal and nonverbal context" of Biden's answers that could be provided by the audio recordings – especially considering that Hur opted against charging Biden after the interview, in part, because he was viewed as "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
The lawsuit comes amid chaos in the Democratic Party as leaders consider whether Biden should continue with his re-election campaign after the president’s widely panned debate performance last week.
The committee, in its lawsuit, says the president’s invocation of executive privilege over the materials "lacks any merit," and it asks the court to overrule that assertion of privilege.
"This dispute is about a frivolous assertion of executive privilege," the lawsuit states.
As part of the House impeachment inquiry against the president, the committee issued a subpoena to Garland to obtain records related to Hur’s investigation of Biden’s alleged mishandling of classified records. The committee sought materials related to Hur’s interviews with Biden and Mark Zwonitzer, the ghostwriter of Biden’s 2017 memoir.
The Justice Department has provided the committee with transcripts of those interviews, but Garland "has refused to produce the audio recordings of the Special Counsel’s interviews with President Biden and Mr. Zwonitzer."
"Instead, Attorney General Garland asked that President Biden assert executive privilege over those recordings, and President Biden complied with that request," the lawsuit states.
The committee argues that audio recordings "are better evidence than transcripts of what happened during the Special Counsel’s interviews with President Biden and Mr. Zwonitzer."
"For example, they contain verbal and nonverbal context that is missing from a cold transcript," the committee states. "That verbal and nonverbal context is quite important here because the Special Counsel relied on the way that President Biden presented himself during their interview – ‘as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory’ – when ultimately recommending that President Biden should not be prosecuted for unlawfully retaining and disclosing classified information."

Oh come on. The party apparatchiks and big donors know he's in this condition and has been. What they're upset about is that too many got to see that their deceitful confidence game exposed. Plato's allegory of the shadows on the cave wall is played out 2500 years later. Fundamental human behavior hasn't changed.

Biden family privately criticizes top advisers, seeks their removal at Camp David meeting": The US president's family makes decisions for him, and they won't let him retire.
"Joe Biden's family members privately trashed his top campaign advisers at Camp David this week.weekend, blaming them for the president’s disastrous performance in Thursday’s debate and calling on Biden to fire or demote members of his top political staff.
✔Among the family’s complaints about the debates is that he was overworked and poorly rested. Biden’s family, sources say, wants the president to continue campaigning rather than end his career with a disastrous debate performance against Trump, whom they all hate. First lady Jill Biden and his son Hunter Biden have been the loudest in calling for the president to stay in the 2024 election.
✔And the Biden campaign has only grown more angry with CNN over the debates, according to several sources. Their complaints are long, including that Biden was not told which camera to look at when he wasn’t speaking and that makeup artists made him look too pale.
✔Biden often consults with his family on big decisions, and those close to him say the only way he’ll ever come to the conclusion about dropping out of the race is if the first lady and members of his family give the go-ahead.
✔At a fundraiser in Greenwich Village, the first lady said the president came to her after the debate and said, "Jill, I don't know what happened. I wasn't feeling so good." "And I said, 'Look, Joe, we're not going to let 90 minutes define the four years you've been president,'" she said.

When they say Biden family, just who are they referring to? His crackhead son? His sleazy wife? His criminal brother? All of whom could care less about the big guy, and are will to run that demented old man into his grave for a buck...

I believe POTUS #1 had something to say about "factionalism".
[NYPOST] First lady Jill Biden is on Vogue’s next cover in a gushing profile posted Monday — as she vowed not to give up on the 2024 race despite hubby President Biden’s disastrous debate performance.
Speaking from Camp David where the Biden family were holed up for the weekend, Jill told the magazine "will not let those 90 minutes define the four years he’s been president."
"We will continue to fight," she continued in the feature published Monday, claiming that Biden "will always do what’s best for the country."
[GatewayPundit] However, it may already be too late to remove Joe Biden from the ballot. The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project is gearing up for a counter-fight should Democrats attempt to pull Biden off the top of the ticket, the Daily Mail reported.
“We are monitoring the calls from across the country for President Biden to step aside, either now or before the election, and have concluded that the process for substitution and withdrawal is very complicated. We will remain vigilant that appropriate election integrity procedures are followed,” said Mike Howell, Executive Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project.
The Heritage Oversight Project has identified three swing states – Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin – where they believe removing Biden from the Democratic ticket would prevent anyone else from replacing him.
Wisconsin does not allow withdrawal from the ballot for any reason besides death, while in Nevada, no changes can be made to the ballotafter 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday in June of an election year unless ‘a nominee dies or is adjudicated insane or mentally incompetent.’ In Georgia, if Biden were to withdraw less than 60 days before the election, his name would remain on the ballot but no votes would be counted.

Given the 2 options.
A Funeral or a Congressional 25th which would install VP Harris, both before the end of August.
I'm thinking the LSD's wanting to milk it and exit on a high note. Having a well attended State Funeral for PR and the chosen replacement's election kickoff.
He secured enough delegates in the primary elections to become the "presumptive nominee" even though the convention has not yet taken place. They might want to rethink that but it might be too late to change in time for November 2024.
Well, you know, they wanted all those cheat-by-mail ballots all ready to go at least a month before the election and in sufficient quantities so that all the dead, moved and fictitious voters have time to cast their ballots without having to appear at a polling station, which they can't because they're dead, moved out of the state, fictitious or unable to prove that they are citizens.
I'm still hoping for a big fight at the convention that would leave the party in disarray and all butt hurt.

Joe’s degraded cognition and poll numbers are real. If he drops out, I think they have to send the donations back. Joe would also have to release his delegates. A contested convention would involve every ignoramus squad member at the podium with an open mic. Resources planned for cheating would have to be redeployed towards getting the new candidate onto all the state ballots. Biden is not as popular with black voters as he was but his wing of the DNC is the Black Caucus. That’s why they moved the first primary to SC. Joe’s replacement would have to be Kamala. They are trapped in an escape room of their own making. Based on their track record, the next DNC moves will be to bribe Jill with a Senate seat, promise Kamala Sotomayor’s robe, and enlist Michele with Hillary as VP.

Half the pols who took money from SBF didn't send it back, or did the "donated it to charity" scam that proves the fungibility of money.
If the IRS actually looked at where all that money is coming from and going too (yeah, I know) they wouldn't have any time left to audit legitimate businesses or individual taxpayers.
