[NY Post] Parasites will do that
Hunter Biden’s so-called "sugar brother" Kevin Morris has told associates that he can’t afford to cover the mounting legal bills incurred by the first son, who’s set to face two trials starting next month.
"The reason Kevin got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter," a person close to the Hollywood entertainment lawyer told Politico.
"Now, four and a half years later, there’s still no help — and now Kevin is completely tapped out," the person added. "So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources. It’s pretty dire."
Morris, who earned a fortune representing the creators of the television series "South Park," has loaned the president’s 54-year-old son more than $6.5 million since meeting him at a political fundraiser in late 2019.
The 60-year-old lawyer was interviewed by the House Ways and Means, Oversight and Judiciary Committees on Jan. 18 as part of the impeachment inquiry into the president and acknowledged paying "various attorneys" on behalf of Hunter Biden.
Morris, citing attorney-client privileges, refused to tell lawmakers exactly how much he’s spent fronting the first son’s legal fees.
Biden is facing three felony charges in a federal gun case out of Delaware, where he is slated to stand trial on June 3.
The embattled first son also has a June 20 trial date set in California, where he faces nine counts related to tax fraud.
Morris’ financial constraints pose "a huge problem" for Hunter’s defense, the source told Politico, citing concerns about how expert witnesses will be paid.
On Tuesday, Hunter’s attorney Abbe Lowell told the judge presiding over the Delaware gun case that the trial start should be pushed back because he and his team were struggling to lock down expert witnesses to testify on a variety of issues in the case, according to Politico.
Lowell explained that three experts have "tentatively agreed" to participate but the details were still being worked out.
He also claimed that defense "resources" have been strained by having to prepare for back-to-back trials on two different coasts.
The embattled first son also has a June 20 trial date set in California, where he faces nine counts related to tax fraud.
The judge refused to move the Delaware trial start date.
Hunter has pleaded not guilty to all charges in both cases.

Continuation of Murcek's thought:
Because the Bidens are on a descending path, and future influence value is declining.
Sort of like the Clinton Foundation.

Kev Dog's tapped out already, before the trial starts? That's when the lawyer's billing rates really go through the roof. Sux 2 B U, pal...

Another thought - isn't Kev Dog required to file gift tax returns? When an individual gives more than the annual limit to another individual (around $15K), you're required to file a gift tax return (unless they come up w/ the usual bullshit of these being 'loan repayments', etc., and that'll fly like a pig). If he never filed, the statute of limitations do not start, so he's fair game.
If I'm Trump, it'll be time to pull a Lois Lerner on these people's asses when he gets back into office.

Seems like Hunter could just stop by Fani Willis’s house for a cash injection. Otherwise, they could pay for his defense out Joe’s campaign fund. Keeping Hunter out of jail has always been a political priority for Team Biden.

Fascinating to watch his defense team go right on into 'Ultra 2A' territory.
[NYPOST] State Sen. Kevin Parker had to be restrained by onlookers after he shoved a man out of a committee room, The Post has learned.
Sources say Michael Carey, an Albany lobbyist, was having an impassioned conversation with Parker before the Energy and Telecommunications Committee meeting Wednesday when the senator grabbed Carey by the chest and pushed him out of the room.
A spokesperson for the New York State Police told The Post it’s investigating the altercation.
Security personnel with the Senate sergeant-at-arms and state police quickly responded to the committee room on the first floor of the state Capitol.
Neither man has been charged.
A spokesperson for Parker didn’t respond to a request for comment.
Wednesday’s Capitol dust up is the latest in Parker’s long line of violent mostly peaceful incidents.
In 2005, Parker slugged a traffic cop who was writing him a ticket earning him misdemeanor assault charges. A few years later the pol attacked a Post photographer and smashed his camera as he was trying to snap pics of Parker outside his Brooklyn home.
A woman is also accusing Parker of raping her in 2004 in a lawsuit being brought under the Adult Survivors Act. Parker denies those charges and now argues the ASA is unconstitutional even though he voted for it.
A spokesperson for state Senate Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... declined to comment on Wednesday’s altercation.

Funny how even the Post waits until the last paragraph to name his party affiliation.
[NYPOST] A disgraced former New Jersey police chief admitted in court Monday to having an affair with a subordinate, then lying about it to a special counsel hired by his town to investigate the rumors — which led the local PBA head to mock him as a "felon" in a courtroom confrontation.
Andrew Kudrick, the 50-year-old former chief of the Howell Police Department, pleaded guilty to an obstruction of justice charge for his crimes, which included denying his rule-breaking extramarital fling in a January 2022 interview with the counsel, according to the Asbury Park Press.
But even though Kudrick — who suddenly retired in March 2022, two years before his contract was up — has fled the department, his former officers haven’t forgiven or forgotten.
Several PBA members reportedly lined the back of the courtroom as their former leader lodged a guilty plea that could land him in jail for more than a year — but will likely just mean probation, the Press said.
"You’re a clown," the salty former chief told James Alexander, the union president, as he left the courtroom.
"But you’re a felon," Alexander shot back, according to the outlet.
Last year, the state Attorney General’s Office hit the former chief with an avalanche of charges stemming from the cover-up, including misconduct, false swearing, tampering with public records, witness tampering and obstruction.
The deal let him plead guilty to obstruction and dropped the other charges, the Press said.
Kudrick will be permanently barred from public employment as a condition of his plea — and could be charged with contempt of court if he even applies for a public job, state Superior Court Judge Paul X. Escandon told him in court.

[NY Post] The White House has blocked the release of audio from President Joe Biden’s interview with a special counsel about his handling of classified documents, arguing Thursday that Republicans in Congress only wanted the recordings "to chop them up" and use them for political purposes.
The dispute over access to the recordings is at the center of a Republican effort to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress and more broadly to hinder the Democratic president’s reelection effort in the final months of the closely contested campaign.
"The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal — to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes," White House counsel Ed Siskel wrote in a scathing letter to House Republicans ahead of scheduled votes by two House committees to refer Garland to the Justice Department for the contempt charges over the department’s refusal to hand over the audio.

It was an interview for an investigation into mishandling of classified documents. The interviewer wasn’t providing Biden with policy advice. Executive privilege doesn’t cover this. Are they stupid or do they think we are stupid? The answer is yes.

-Democrats when on the other side of the table
[NYPOST] On Wednesday, the latest Consumer Price Index report showed that inflation slowed slightly in April but prices continued to rise nearly 4% for the year.
President Biden took his 23rd victory lap on this issue, proclaiming that "fighting inflation and lowering costs is my top economic priority."
But how should people judge a victory proclamation by a general that had pointlessly lost 20% of his army — the amount of purchasing power the dollar has declined since he took office?
Team Biden is pretending that the nation — and Biden’s re-election campaign — has made it out of the woods.
But the Labor Department reported on Tuesday that the producer price index is rising at a rate of 6% a year, a foreboding omen of future price hikes.
Biden has spawned the highest rate of food inflation since the Nixon administration but he scoffed when a CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... interviewer recently asked him about the 30% rise in grocery prices.

[NYPOST] President Biden is planning executive action that would allow him to shut down the US-Mexico border once the number of migrant crossings reaches 4,000 per day, a source close to the White House told The Post Wednesday.
The order would match a provision in the bipartisan border bill that failed to pass the Senate in February, which gave the president authority to expel migrants colonists when border crossings reached the same daily average.
The legislative proposal would have given the homeland security secretary discretionary authority to carry out removals — but would have made deportations mandatory when illegal entries surpassed 5,000 per day over a one-week period.
The bill allowed for the suspension of that authority two weeks after the seven-day average falls to 75% of those levels.

Wasn't it the Lydians who busted their asses and carved out an empire at the trade crossroads of Western Anatolia, who because wealthy and soft, outsourcing their hard labors to the Greeks, who then took over and established Ionia?

The border is totally open. How is he proposing to count how many folks the traffickers are importing? How is he proposing to close a border that he has left wide open? Border patrol has largely been converted into a concierge service for trafficked people and drug mules.

[NYPOST] President Biden and former President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and whatever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... tentatively agreed Wednesday to face off in two summer debates months before the Nov. 5 election, upending the traditional campaign calendar.
CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for... announced that the rivals will meet at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, June 27, at its Atlanta headquarters for a debate moderated by "State of the Union" co-hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
There will be no live audience, in accordance with the Biden campaign’s request.
Later Wednesday, Biden and Trump said they had each accepted an offer from ABC News to hold a second debate on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Interesting he chose CNN. They're about to tank. Their only gig was "Hate Trump" that kept their ratings up which absolutely collapsed during Biden-Obama's reign. On the surface there is no reason to feed the hand that bites you. Someone playing 3D chess here?

If Joe tanks the debate, they will pull him off the ticket and try to allow him to ride out his term. Mostly, the moderators will try to hang up on Trump because the lawfare has backfired so badly.
If they are using a body double for Joe, they picked one out of an Alzheimer’s ward. Whenever Joe looks halfway coherent, it is coming off of a long rest and he acts enraged. If they have hired an actor to portray Joe as an incoherent, stumbling pervert, what’s the point? Just use Joe. That’s right in his wheelhouse.
My concern with the debate is that it sounds like it will not be live. Agreeing to a debate where they can go 60 minutes on the tape is a mistake.
