The royal duo have let the official registration fees for their charity, Archewell, lapse since at least the beginning of May, according to an official letter from California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta.
The document states that Archewell has been listed as “delinquent” with the registry of charities and fundraisers for failing to submit its annual report and its registration fees.
Archewell now has to submit records to show why its payment is late, and pay late fees.

In Mass., you have to file a copy of your Form 990 (the annual Federal tax return for non-profits) with a state version of the same form with the AG's office. If CA has a similar structure that tells me their 990 was never filed, and their foundation is either poorly organized or complete bullshit.

[Washington Examiner] Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker criticized President Joe Biden during a commencement speech at Benedictine College on Saturday.

On Sunday, the couple traveled from the capital city of Abuja to Lagos and were greeted by the state governor, local dancers and well-wishers on their final day.
"Today is Mother’s Day [in America]. So it feels appropriate that although, of course, we are missing our children, I’m missing my babies, it feels very appropriate to be in the motherland and amongst family," Markle said.
In 2022, Markle told her "Archetypes" podcast listeners that she had recently discovered she was "43% Nigerian" after completing an ancestry test.
And at the opening ceremony of last year’s Invictus Games in Germany, Harry made reference to his wife’s heritage.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, deputy prime minister for economic affairs, who visited the flood-affected areas, said: "They told us the number of casualties is 154 deaders, but doctors have reported up to 170 people."
According to official statistics provided by the authorities in the caretaker government, the corpse count in Baghlan province so far reached nearly 180, and the search and rescue operations are still ongoing.

[NEWARAB] Libyan authorities have arrested several customs officials for attempting to traffic abroad about 26 tonnes of gold worth almost 1.8 billion euros ($1.9 billion), prosecutors said. Bits and pieces all over the place.
The Libyan prosecutor's office did not detail the suspected origin of the massive amount of precious metal, greater than the national gold reserves of many countries.
Authorities in Misrata, western Libya, made the arrests related to the trafficking operation at the port city's international airport, the office said Sunday night.
"The investigating authorities ordered the arrest of the director general of customs and customs officials at the international airport of Misrata," it said in a statement released on Facebook.
The officials had attempted in December 2023 to traffic the gold bars weighing some 25,875 kilograms, currently worth almost 1.8 billion euros, the statement said.

California workers are demanding $25 minimum wage.
If they raise the minimum wage to $100, then people will only need to work 1/4 as many hours which means employers will need to hire 4 times as many people. More money, more free time, and more jobs! Increased prosperity for everyone!
Unless, of course, they start replacing workers with robots who only need a smoke break when they are actually on fire.

[MAIL] Walmart is cutting hundreds of corporate jobs and is asking most of its remote workers to get back to the office, after it slashed thousands of warehouse jobs across the country.
Though remote workers will be allowed to work from home part-time, the retail monolith is also asking workers in small offices in Dallas, Atlanta and Toronto to begin working from more central hubs, as part of a move to cut costs, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Walmart's stock price wobbled slightly yesterday, peaking at 61.30 points, before falling to 60.29 points. But Walmart's stock price is close to it's all time high.
The news comes after the US' largest employer announced it would be laying off 2,000 warehouse employees who pack online orders, and would be working to have 65% of its stores automated by 2026.
'As the changes are implemented across the business, one of the outcomes is roles that require less physical labor but have a higher rate of pay,' the Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer said in a filing last year.
