[Federalist via ZERO] Former Rep. Liz Cheney (of the revolving door Haliburton --> White House --> war profiteer dynasty) came unglued this weekend following a report by The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway, which accuses Cheney and the January 6 committee of suppressing exonerating evidence of then-President Trump's push for 10,000 national guard troops to protect the nation's capital on the day of the Capitol riot.
To summarize The Federalist;
Cheney and the J6 committee "falsely claimed they had "no evidence" to support Trump officials’ claims the White House had communicated its desire for 10,000 National Guard troops."
In truth, an early transcribed interview conducted by the committee "included precisely that evidence from a key source."
That key source, Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato, said he overheard White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows push DC Mayor Muriel Bowser to request as many National Guard troops as needed to protect DC on Jan. 6.
Ornato also testified that Trump suggested 10,000 troops to keep the peace at public rallies and protests scheduled for Jan. 6, 2021 - and that the White House was frustrated with Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller's slow deployment of assistance on the day of the riot.
Ornato's testimony was corroborated by Kash Patel, the former chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense.
According to The Federalist, this information was suppressed.
Hemingway writes that the committee not only mischaracterized the interview, they also suppressed the transcript from public review.
Hi Mark: I see you’re still spreading BS. You & the bozo who wrote this might want to actually read the 1/6 report (eg, Appendix 2, 741-2, 127-8, 587-92), SecDef Miller’s transcript (Trump never ordered 10k troops), Judge Wallace’s finding (Kash Patel is “not a credible witness”) https://t.co/WdOxaEbVks

It's a bald faced lie, but not a breakdown of any sort.
And what will those cleverboots do when Candidate Trump asks a penetrating question about the pap they tried to feed him, and refuses to take more pap as their answer?
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff ...Showboating U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Schiff has served in Congress since 2001. He currently serves as the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In a manner reminiscent of Joe McCarthy, on March 22, 2017, in a interview with Chuck Todd on MSNBC Schiff claimed there was “more than circumstantial evidence now” that Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia." Todd followed up by asking if he had seen direct evidence of collusion and Schiff responded that there was "evidence that is not circumstantial and is very much worthy of investigation"... One of the deeper dwelling denizens of the Deep State, probably the guy who lit the match that launched the Russiagate coup attempt... and said the Intel Community will sabotage Trump by withholding intelligence and ’dumbing down’ his daily briefings this summer.
President Trump will get intel briefings after he secures the GOP nomination this summer.
Schiff said Trump can’t be trusted with classified information that reveals sources and methods.
"We can’t trust that he will do the right thing," Schiff said to NBC’s "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker.

...Not the first time - the intel community was...selective...with what they let President Reagan know about, fearing that he would do the wrong thing with it.

Donald Trump ought to subscribe to a bunch of private intelligence companies and some of the new news sites that we reference here — and read Rantburg daily — so he has a better idea of what they aren't telling him. There is no reason he should depend on the government sources when they are stating plainly that they intend to misinform and manipulate him.

/\ More than 95% of ALL intelligence is derived from 'Open Source' venues and collection.
The challenge is the fusion, dot connection, and coming up with the.... General Tommy Franks:
"Ok Tex, WTF does that mean to me and when do you think it will take place."
Collection management, predictive analysis, and the 'So What' question are presented and answered on the Burg daily.
Don't think for a moment that Gov't Open Source analysts and others are not monitoring this blog as well as others, on Non-classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Networks (NIPRNet).

OSINT and NIPERNet, wow, I can harken back to a time when big map boards, printed articles and images and thick red cotton thread and push-pins could be considered the precursor technology to "fusion"!
I recall vividly a key analyst on Korea and the War Plan who was read-in at the highest levels of SCI, commenting that he never spoke about Korea outside a SCIF. His explanation was simple, "I can't remember what was in the TS traffic and if it was in the New York Times"!

C’mon, NoMoreBS — everybody knows the New York Times is just a vehicle for leaks from the Deep State, curated to support the agendas of key in-groups
[GEO.TV] United States President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family... has been attacked multiple times over his old age, despite his claims that the doctors during his annual medical examination said that he "looked too young".
While his comment came as a joke, the latest ad for Biden's re-election campaign has raised some questions about whether the 81-year-old thinks he is old or not, CBS News reported.
In the ad released Saturday at the informal beginning of the general election campaign, Biden argues that he knows he's old, but it's his experience that matters.
"Look I'm not a young guy. That's no secret," he says in the ad, addressing the camera. "But here's the deal, I understand how to get things done for the American people."

I understand how to get things done for the American people
So why haven't you done anything for the American people since you were elected?
Except for those who work for weapons manufacturers. And government workers.

[MSN - Newsweek] Mike Pompeo sparked fury from supporters of former President Donald Trump's Make America Great (MAGA) movement on Sunday, after he said he is open to joining a new Trump administration if asked.
Pompeo, who served during the Trump administration as secretary of state and the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), has sometimes been at odds with his former boss since they left office in January 2021. Pompeo is tainted by his CIA association but I really have a hard time faulting his actions in international affairs last term. (I also thought Tillerson was a good appointment - can't say that about most of them.)

I remember CPAC 2023 with Pompeo calling on the GOP to stop following celebrity leaders with fragile egos. I wouldnt expect MAGA to welcome him back with open arms.
