[RIA] When the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, uttered the famous maxim about the "blooming garden" and "wild jungle", he not only created an online meme, but also made it clear how Europeans perceive the outside world. They have a "garden" and they "cultivate" it.

After the Civil War, things pretty much return to the status of antebellum among the Northern states. Plessy v. Ferguson and the The Slaughter-House Cases pretty much demonstrated that. The real hammer of centralizing government came with the Wilson and FDR administration.

[REGNUM] Few people smile at the holiday weekend at work, and even when another trouble occurs at this job, the level of positive in the blood tends to the “zero” mark - such an idea could well have flashed through the head of a White House employee who discovered a bundle on Sunday evening July 2 unknown origin.

Drug testing is what you do when you want to catch someone. Lie four times about the location of the baggie for 72hours while the coke clears everyone’s system is what you do if you don’t want to catch anyone.
At this point, I don’t think it was Hunter’s because they could have admitted it was his and locked him away in rehab through the 2024 election if they had any sense. Half of America watched him snort coke on the balcony of the White House so what’s to hide. It must be someone really embarrassing.

[Deadline] Tucker Carlson Says “Honestly” Doesn’t Know Why Fox Pulled Him Off The Air, & He’s Good With That – Kinda
Carlson may wish his former employer well, but as the two sides continue to scuffle over his more than $20 million 2025 ending contract and his new-ish Twitter show, there didn’t seem to be much good will between the lines between the parties Friday. Touching on topics ranging from Donald Trump (Tucker now says he loves the former Celebrity Apprentice host) rural life, brutalist architecture, and the January 6 attack on the Capitol (“not an insurrection,” according to the self declared violence-hating Carlson), the chummy sit-down with Brand on the latter’s Rumble show took a dark turn when it came to his pink slipping of sorts from Fox and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Facebook spiked the video. The following is an excerpt from the Russel Brand video:

I would like to see Tucker explain why out of all the J6 prisoners only Qanon Shaman received access to exonerating video evidence through Tucker. In the American system all of us are equal before the law.

Because everybody thinks the 'Shaman' is irrelevant so it was easy to usher him off the playing field? Somebody more serious would provoke a stronger fight to prevent them from annoyingly running the talking show circuit and possibly making political points.

Our system is built on us directly electing our representatives to protect us from injustice. Citizens being subjected to prosecution without having access to evidence is injustice. McCarthy has committed to giving the citizens justice. He has not delivered. He is not working for the American people. McCarthy is doing a pop and lock to the beatbox of the DC suits. Unfortunately for him, the situation will change soon. It is important for us to remember what people have really done in the here and now. Allowing bozos to work the revisionist angle on their actions perpetuates our failure to fix the corruption.

[GreaterKashmir] For three long decades Jammu and Kashmir witnessed the pervasive influence of terrorism. The question of why it sustained for such an extended period and how it was eventually eradicated within three years of the abrogation of Article 370, a temporary provision in the Constitution, is indeed a matter of significance.
The developments that have taken place after August 5, 2019—when the Centre announced its decision to abrogate J&K’s special status and divide the erstwhile state into two Union Territories—have proven beyond doubt that the former rulers allowed terrorism to continue to cling to power. Politicians were direct beneficiaries of Pakistain-sponsored terrorism. This enabled them to manipulate New Delhi and extract maximum benefits by claiming that they only could save Kashmir from falling into the lap of Pakistain.
By perpetuating the conflict, these politicians could grind their own axe, consolidate their power, and maintain a stranglehold on the region. However,

[JPost] "We urge Russian forces in Syria to cease this reckless behavior and adhere to the standards of behavior expected of a professional air force," said Air Force Lt. Gen. Alex Grynkewich.
In recent days reports have emerged that Russia is increasing its aggressive behavior against US unmanned aerial vehicles in Syria.
Essentially, this is an outgrowth of Russia’s decision to increase its aggressive behavior across Syria when it comes to harassing US forces and aircraft. The US generally operates in eastern Syria, however, Russia has now decided to intercept US drones that fly over northwest Syria, an area Turkey occupies.

Lindsey Graham has declared war on Russia. Why should they not down our drones?

There is that 'sovereignty' thing. The government of Syria has not signed a treaty with the US so they have the same right to shoot down our drones as the US had to shoot down the Chinese balloon. If they ask the Russians to do the deed that is between the Putin and Assad.

I am for peace in Ukraine. It looks like a stalemate to me with a heavy forecast of dead people and wasted money - at least have of it ours. Because I favor neither side, I tend to tick off everyone. Here is another opinion that will dutifully annoy the maximum number of people.
Bozos like Lindsey have implied or said that the US is providing critical intelligence to Ukraine. I find it moronic that we would claim that Russia eliminating our intelligence assets is unprofessional. Yes, I understand that, in this case, the unmanned intelligence asset is in Syria, several hours of flight time away from the other conflict.
