[AFRICANEWS] Mali's interim military junta asked on Friday for the UN peacekeeping mission in the country to leave "without delay".
The peacekeeping force, known as MINUSMA, has been in Mali for a decade.
Frustrations over the growing insecurity led to two coups in 2020 and 2021.
The ruling junta, led by Colonel Assimi Goita, has been increasingly at loggerheads with MINUSMA and other international allies including La Belle France.
Security Council members must adopt a resolution to extend MINUSMA's mandate in Mali by June 30. A resolution requires at least nine votes in favour and no vetoes by Russia, China, the United States, Britannia or La Belle France to pass.
The military junta rejected traditional Western allies turning to Russia for help in boosting its military capabilities. Western governments are worried about the presence of Russian private military contractor Wagner.
Since 2015 that violence has increased in the region with attacks by groups linked to al Qaeda and Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... spreading to Mali’s neighbours in the Sahel region ... North Africa's answer to the Pak tribal areas... . Thousands have been killed and over six million displaced, according to the UN.

A failed effort in a very long line of continued failed efforts. Depart immediately and leave them to their tribal butchery.
[AFRICANEWS] The leader of Tunisia's main opposition block has attended the office of the counter-terrorism prosecutor in the capital, Tunis, to answer charges of "plotting against state security".
Ahmed Nejib Chebbi, the leader of the National Salvation Front, had previously accused the government of "dividing Tunisians" and "destroying all the institutions".
"The current government is dividing Tunisians, pitting them against each other, and after destroying all the institutions, it is now attacking the rights and freedoms of Tunisian citizens", accused Ahmed Nejib Chebbi, leader of the National Salvation Front.
The opposition leader is now fearful for his own personal freedom.
"Today, I could be arrested for nothing other than being a free, independent, peaceful, law abiding, democratic opponent", concluded the opposition leader.
Local and international human rights groups have criticised the decline in civic freedoms in Tunisia since President Kais Saied launched a sweeping power grab on July 25, 2021.

[NYPOST] Americans are starting to see the light about Black Lives Matter: Support is dropping like a stone.
But the insiders already cashed in big while the cashing was good.
Per a new Pew poll, just 51% of Americans now back the group even "somewhat," way down from 67% amid the 2020 Saint George Floyd ...The patron saint of Minneapolis... protests.
Only 22% "strongly support" it; a pitiful 8% think it’s been highly effective at boosting black people’s lives.
And more than half (57%) think, quite rightly, it hasn’t helped at all, while a third actually see BLM as "dangerous" and "divisive ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... That should’ve been clear to everyone from the start.
The group’s founders are basically cop-hating Marxists who capitalized on the horrific George Floyd killing, inflaming passions and hatreds and paving the way for violence.
And for an avalanche of cash for them, as corporate America seized the chance to signal its wokeness by helping BLM rake in a whopping $90 million in donations.

Said from the start.
With this being a political movement based solely on Black Lives only Matter, that it was the same as any other Racist group.
Now some questions:
Why are the civil rights pimps so quiet on the Black Community Sham and Ripoff? At the very least they should be jealous about how the BLoM leaders cashed in so much, so quickly.
Where is the IRS on the Abuse of a 501 3-c donations? A quick peek at the IRS website and the BLoM foundation Black Lives Matter Foundation
EIN: 47-4143254 | Santa Clarita, California, United States.
Shows the last 2 "reported/shown" years BLoM expenses far outweigh Black community donations. BTW: The IRS website states it is still trying to process 2020 data
Why has the DOJ and many local DA's avoided criminally charging the BLoM with fraud and abuse, money laundering, Domestic Terrorism acts , organized physical assaults, Death Threats, co-conspirator for instigating riots looting, arson and a list of other criminal and civil crimes?

All of them cashed in big, but like 1st round draft picks with degrees in sports theology, they have spend the money in ways that cannot be supported by their future cash flow. If you have a sudden one time money jackpot, don’t get a bunch of expensive stuff requiring future payments. Within a decade these folks will be back to shoplifting at the Walmart.

[NYPOST] US Permanent Representative to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield rightly condemned in a recent speech Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase.... ’ antisemitic statements that equated Israelis to the Nazis.
With no sense of the irony, she then called for foreign aid to the very same PA he continues to lead, 18 years into his four-year term.
An even more distressing irony: President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body.... recently launched a first-ever National Strategy To Counter Antisemitism amid a spike in Jew-hatred, yet at the same time — in defiance of Congress’ intent — his team continues to provide material support for the PA, even as it not only spouts antisemitic speech but funds anti-Jewish terrorism through its "pay-for-slay" program.
Congress clearly determined that PA terror payments encourage violence, which is why it passed the Taylor Force Act, barring economic assistance that "directly benefits the Paleostinian Authority" until it "stops all payments incentivizing terror."
In recent months, the West Bank has seen a spate of fatal Paleostinian terror attacks, with each of the perpetrators and their families then eligible for PA payments.
In 2018, the authority’s refusal to end systematic terror funding led to bipartisan passage of the Taylor Force Act, named for a US citizen and West Point grad murdered by a Paleostinian terrorist in Tel Aviv.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
