[NYPOST] House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said Tuesday he will move to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress after he again refused to share an informant file that allegedly implicates President Biden in a $5 million bribery scheme.
Comer (R-Ky.) set a final compliance deadline of Tuesday, which the FBI made clear it would not meet.
"Today, the FBI informed the Committee that it will not provide the unclassified documents subpoenaed by the Committee," Comer said. "The FBI’s decision to stiff-arm Congress and hide this information from the American people is obstructionist and unacceptable.
"While I have a call scheduled with FBI Director Wray tomorrow to discuss his response further, the Committee has been clear in its intent to protect Congressional oversight authorities and will now be taking steps to hold the FBI Director in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a lawful subpoena," Comer added.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... (R-Calif.) promised Tuesday morning that he will lead Republicans in voting to hold Wray in contempt if he refuses to provide the informant file, which McCarthy said could be redacted to protect highly sensitive informant information.

How is the effort going by Rep MTG to file the articles of impeachment against Wray? When can we expect the House to take this up and have a vote and then send it over to the Senate for trial? Although, this will likely go no where, there is some value to this impeachment. It would expose the widespread corruption in the Administrative State and the weaponizing of government against its people.

Wray has now said he will "allow" some members of Congress to view the document. Not enough. , as a U.S. citizen have a vested interest in seeing what is in it. It seems to me the FBI is stalling until the statute of limitations runs out.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
That is going to require 2/3 of the House and Senate and 3/4 of the States to change. I doubt that SCOTUS would buy the argument that illegals that ignored their appearance date declared by their actions that they are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.

There's an easy fix for this given how abortion-happy liberals are: Any non-citizen trying to enter the US gets a free abortion. If they don't want one, they can give birth somewhere else.

IIRC, the Germans can kick out a Turk even if born and raised there.
Even if they’ve become German citizens? Very few resident Turks become German citizens — my understanding is that if they do so they lost inheritance rights back home.
What is a foreign sovereign? Does a pinky toe on American soil transfer a foreigner's agency to the jurisdiction of the united states? Am I mexican just b/c I'm down in Baja? Conversely how can we say a mexican is american just because the experts told us? Trained us. I reject the whole notion. So did the Founding Fathers.
