[NYPOST] The former Biden administration nuclear official who was axed late last year after they were caught red-handed in a string of luggage thefts was arrested at home this week, police confirmed.
Samuel Brinton, 35, was taken into custody at their home in Rockville, Maryland, at 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Montgomery Country Police Department told The Post Thursday.
Brinton is currently in jug pending charges of Grand Larceny stemming from allegations of stolen property at Ronald Reagan National Airport that the department learned of in Feb. 2023, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police said.
A lawyer for Tanzanian fashion designer Asya Khamsin later told The Post the charges are related to her missing suitcase.
Arrest records show that Brinton — who is non-binary and uses they pronouns — was arrested on the 700 block of College Parkway as a runaway from justice.
"They are being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit on a no-bond status as they await an extradition hearing," an MCPD spokesperson explained.
The investigation is being spearheaded by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
Someone claiming to be a neighbor of Brinton and Reike told the Daily Wire on Thursday that "four unmarked police showed up" at their residence last night and escorted Brinton away in handcuffs an hour later.
News of Brinton’s alleged arrest comes one month after they pleaded no contest to charges stemming from the theft of a woman’s luggage at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport in July 2022.

But will the American People, ever see those in DC and other levels of Government, adhere to the US Constitution, honor the Bill of Rights as written, and follow US Law?
OR, be quickly and strictly held accountable for their crimes and violations.

She acted as McCarthy’s LT during his speaker election. I think she did that for this very reason. We will see if he supports, allows or buries this.

[Turley] For those interested in the truth about the Russian collusion investigation, the Durham Report has hundreds of pages of details of the alliance of political, government and media figures behind arguably the greatest hoax in U.S. history. The only thing it does not have is an actual indictment or true accountability for the critical players in an effort to derail an American presidency. Indeed, some witnesses associated with the Clinton campaign appear to have refused to cooperate with the investigation. Congress could change that.
Buried in the detailed account is a little noticed footnote stating that Clinton General Counsel Marc Elias “declined to be voluntarily interviewed by the Office.” Likewise, Durham noted that “no one at Fusion GPS … would agree to voluntarily speak with the Office” while both the DNC and Clinton campaign invoked privileges to refuse to answer certain questions.
It is not clear whether Durham was able to get a full account from these sources, but he was still able to establish the details on how this unprecedented political hit job succeeded despite a lack of evidence. In the course of that account, Durham demolished the prior claims of Democratic members like Adam Schiff and many in the media. Durham concludes that the investigation should never have been launched and that the whole effort was based on “raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated” information.
It turns out that the “pee-tape” was the creation of a Clinton operative without any factual basis despite years of the media (and former FBI Director James Comey) referencing the false salacious claim.

Compel cooperation from people who disregard the law, their oath and who basically lied to Congress previously? For a lawyer to not know or understand his adversary says a lot about Turley.

I am not a lawyer; but can the House do anything besides refer them to the DOJ for prosecution which will never happen?

The Durham Report is damning but it is also rolled out in such a way as to cause as little hazard as possible to “important institutions.” The end result is that nobody likes it. Metaphorically, it is a ping pong ball thrown into a room of ping pong balls loaded on mousetraps. That is the current state of our body politic. I can’t make a prediction on what the result will be. Neither can Durham.

Maybe we better fix our own bad financial choices first.
C'mon, M. You know damn good and well that won't happen. You know as well as I do that it would make too much sense.

We will see what city voters think about Dems championing unfettered migration. Realistically, this policy decimates Central American economies and families as the most highly productive employees have no reason to stay. Cartel economies benefit, though.

If he (she?) wants to fix economies around the world, send him to Afghanistan. Let me know how that one works out.
[Epoch Times] FBI officials were concerned that footage from inside the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, would show undercover agents and confidential informants, a whistleblower said in testimony revealed on May 18.
George Hill, a retired supervisory intelligence analyst who worked out of the FBI’s Boston field office, recounted that the bureau’s Washington field office (WFO) pressured officials in Boston to open investigations on 138 people who attended a rally on Jan. 6, 2021, even though there were no indications the people violated the law.
Hill said Boston officials questioned why they couldn’t get access to the tranche of some 11,000 hours of footage from inside the Capitol.
"Because there may be—may be—UCs, undercover officers, or ... confidential human sources, on those videos whose identity we need to protect," Washington-based officials responded.

Even blurring the faces would give away how many were involved.
Release the info provocateurs disobeyed the law. If they did it under orders let them tell us under oath.
[Breitbart] Special Counsel John Durham’s highly-anticipated report on the origins of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign in 2016 revealed that top leaders at the Bureau shut down four criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton.
In 2014, the FBI investigated a "well-placed" confidential source’s claims that an unnamed foreign government intended to "contribute to Hillary Clinton’s anticipated presidential campaign, as a way to gain influence with Clinton should she win the presidency," the report said.
The field office investigating these claims "almost immediately" sought a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant, but it remained "in limbo" for approximately four months, primarily due to Clinton’s then-expected presidential campaign.

someone please fill me in. What is the procedure for impeachment? House files charges with who? Can 'who' deny proceeding or set a trial date? Does the senate sit as the jury? Who is the judge? Can the judge overrule the jury's decision. If 'not guilty' can the defendant sue? sue who? Does the judge have any room in the sentence?
this wasn't in my 1945 civics class.
thank you
a web reference would be nice.

The wiki article is actually pretty good.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_in_the_United_States
The short version is impeachment for a US president has to start in the house of representatives. They basically put together a legal case on why this president has committed a "High crime or misdemeanor" and the body debates then votes on it. The vote can carry with a simple majority, as did both Trump's impeachments.
The difficulty is now it goes to the Senate for trial. A 2/3 vote is necessary for the impeachment to take effect and this has never happened in American history. Nixon most likely would have been the first, but he resigned.
So even if the house passes this, it will die in the Senate as there is no way the demoncrats will vote as well to oust Biden.

Could MTG stomach DeSantis' donor RINO class backers, and the GOPe candidates that they support?
For example, Jacksonville mayoral race: The candidate DeSantis backed was also the President of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce. CoC supports H1B1 Visas (along with the Bush Dynasty and P.Ryan's camp) and the question would be if MTG would support those people and their policies like H1B1.

If the dems were, say 2 votes short of the needed 2/3 to impeach a pub prexident, you could bet a couple RINO squishes would "cross the aisle" to make it happen. If the pubs had, say 2/3+2 votes to impeach a dem prexident, you could bet a couple RINO squishes would "cross the aisle" to prevent it.
But never the reverse.

It's political theater with zero chance of conviction in the Senate. But is does turn a mirror to the Democrats' tactics against Trump. A warning shot for 2025 and beyond.
