[NYPOST] Former President Jimmy Malaise Carter ...peanut farming former nuclear sub officer, who succeeded Gerald Ford as president. Carter perfected the approach later used by Joe Biden to get elected, presenting himself as a moderate whose Zero-based Budgeting was going to so away with the federal deficif. Once in the hands George McGovern's rejects, who were ever so much more virtuous than the rest of us, the nation immediately spun into a Malaise®. By the time Jimmeh, as he was contemptuously referred to, was running against Ronald Reagan, the liberal columnists were pronouncing the nation's problems as too severe to be solved by anyone; they were simply unsolvable, or maybe insoluble. That was why Reagan was such a flop. After Obama, Jimmeh's's only the second worst president ever, and by the time Biden's done maybe the third. Depending on how many Dems we elect in coming years, he may even end up looking competent... has decided to receive hospice care "instead of additional medical intervention" at his home in Plains, Georgia, the Carter Center announced Saturday.
The 98-year-old made the decision after a "series of short hospital stays," the center said. "He has the full support of his family and his medical team."
Grandson Jason Carter said the family patriarch and Rosalynn, his wife of 76 years, are "at peace."
"I saw both of my grandparents yesterday," Jason Carter tweeted. "They are at peace and — as always —their home is full of love."
The former president, whose tumultuous single term ended in 1981, has faced serious health problems in recent years.

I have a deep respect for the man and his many godly and humanity accomplishments, before and after his time in the WH. As a Governor, he also functioned well.
But, now that we have the BIDEN/COUP in the WH, it is clear Mr. Carter is not longer the most lacking president to have been in the WH. in the last 100 years.
His left leaning, pretend Christianity persona was the perfect Trojan Horse for the 1968 crowd to front end load the apparatus of state with many toxic things that would eventually blow up and badly damage the nation.
CRA made possible the snowballing of the real estate loan industry into the worst economic downturn (2008 housing crisis) since the Great Depression, via the establishment of the precedent that the government could force banks to make bad loans on the basis of politicians trying to buy votes from subsets of the populace. Once that precedent was established, it was only a question of when, not if, such an economic collapse would occur.
A federalized Department of Education has taken away local control of education, resulting in billions of dollars wasted, recruitment/grooming of children into pedophilia and questionable decisions regarding sexuality, and replacement of real education with Howard Zinn style cultural Marxist indoctrination.
Great expansions of affirmative action especially for women made it impossible politically in our time to reform or sunset it, or to even have a grownup discussion about what metrics can be established to determine if it is even necessary. Neither political party dares to even bring it up, not because of minorities but because white women will instantly abandon that party. As a result, we now have governments and corporations pushing "equity" which is a deadly combination of communism and eternal affirmative action.
All of this and more can be lain squarely at the feet of Carter and the people surrounding him in the late seventies.
As for gutting the military, to fund welfare and unionized public school teachers and alphabet agency clown farm cogs, well, that speaks for itself.
I'm sorry for the grieving that his family will experience when he passes but the man was evil. No amount of building a few houses for a few poor people can wipe that away.

Most of the evil done in this world is not done by evil people, but by stupid people who believe that they mean well.

Deeply flawed, but most critically, arrogant in his certitude of his "morality". Not a thief, nor a globalist, but a classic demokrat control freak. 4th from the bottom, followed by LBJ, the Magic Kenyan and Jojo.

Kind of mixed on the amnesty. It's because of that mess in SE Asia that there is no longer military conscription. Those that fled did so at some risk, not like the rich, connected folk such as Dubya and The Donald who managed to finagle their way out. At least John Kerry got a nice medal out of it.

There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

As I carefully said, I liked what he did before & after failing in the WH.

NN21, I approved of his charitable works in house building and started to have a better view of Carter as a person ...then his foreign affairs 'adventures' ruined any positive feelings for him.

He questioned food subsidies and some other golden calves of the establishment. In the end, he had no constituents. I don’t think he made a bunch of money out of the gig. I have him ranked above Clinton, Biden and Obama in that order. I have not slotted LBJ Nixon, Bush elder or younger. Too many puzzle pieces are missing at this point. Nixon’s stock is in the rise. Ford probably gets an incomplete unless he knew about the JFK assassination.

Ford sure stumbled into that job. Agnew resigned, then Tricky Dick.
And now I can't help but think of Chameleon Harris. Good gawd.
[GatewayPundit] “Agency Equity Teams” to Be Established to Run All Departments, Reeducate Workers
Joe Biden has appointed Susan Rice to be the chair of the new "White House Steering Committee on Equity" to conduct a sweeping "racial equity" progressive makeover of the federal government with the establishment of "Agency Equity Teams" in all departments that answer to Rice. Biden issued an executive order on Thursday titled, 'Executive Order on Further Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government.'
Rarely do I get a feeling of dread. This article spawned a very chilling moment.
The LSD's should deeply and seriously look at their parties own racial practices of racial inequities & its long history of legislated racial discrimination (Jim Crow). As they have played the Race/Color card, setting up systems that promoted cultural, social, and educational inequities to control a 14% voting block for power.
The LSD's have even used religious figureheads to pimp, incite and spew racial hate and division.
Plus, they have gone as far as the proxy killing of black leaders promoting peace, unity and betterment since 1965.

My only hope here, as with the rest of this administration, lies in the inherent incompetence of bureaucracy. It huffs and puffs but rarely succeeds in actually doing anything.
Susan Rice, if I can remember, has never actually accomplished anything in her life. I expect plenty of bombast and hot air but no concrete results.

This was tried under Jimmy Carter. The result was an incredible f-up where offices ground to a halt and hastened the widespread use of computers (Wang, Lanier, DEC, etc.,) then in their initial stage of development.

2/3rds of the federal workforce don't actually go to work, they "telecommute" or whatever the tony phrase is these days for faking work at home. So the classic "inertia" associated with anything the government does is compounded. What the government has done with celerity and jaw-dropping efficiency is spend money it didn't have, enriching friends and devastating those they hate.
Mostly this latest is another in a long list of "programs" for further looting of the treasury/national credit card to give money to friends and fellow-travelers.
What the government has done since 2010 is triple the national debt, and re-fracture the body politic into increasingly hateful tribal groupings, making all our grandchildren's future a a mere shadow of what ours had been, if that. And at the core of it, Rice and the Magic Kenyan are major players.
[HOTAIR] I was actually wondering what Rachel Dolezal was doing these days.
There’s a lot more to this story than just the uncovering of another Rachel Dolezal. I’m not sure if the subtext was clear to the Intercept, who published this story today, but it’s pretty glaring to me.
Members of the American Friends Service Committee, a prominent Quaker organization known for its progressive values and social justice advocacy in the U.S. and abroad, have raised an alarm about a woman holding a leadership position within the organization who they say has misrepresented her ethnic background for years and who they fear may be working on behalf of groups seeking to undermine their organization.
Raquel Evita Saraswati, a Muslim activist who for years has encouraged people to believe that she is a woman of color, including Latina as well as of South Asian and Arab descent, is the AFSC’s chief equity, inclusion, and culture officer, a senior position that gives her access to the files of dozens of the organization’s staff and volunteers. But Saraswati, who was born Rachel Elizabeth Seidel, is not a person of color, according to her mother, Carol Perone.
“I call her Rachel,” Perone told The Intercept, when reached by telephone. “I don’t know why she’s doing what she’s doing.”…
“I’m German and British, and her father was Calabrese Italian,” her mother added. “She’s chosen to live a lie, and I find that very, very sad.”
Raquel/Rachel did convert to Islam in high school so that much of her identity is real. But the AFSC is now concerned that she may be some kind of double agent. It turns out that she got her start by appearing as a moderate Muslim on Fox News and Newsmax. That was more than a decade ago but some wonder if she didn’t take the equity officer job as part of an effort infiltrate a progressive organization.
I guess anything is possible but all of that sounds a bit paranoid to me. The obvious question raised by this incident is how Rachel was able to get away with it. The Intercept notes that the DEI has become a big business very quickly and, as a result, the qualifications and backgrounds of people claiming jobs are sometimes not looked at as carefully as they should be.

The article I read had a quote from an AFSC functionary saying that he felt deceived but also felt it was necessary to respect her self-defined identity regardless.

The most fascinating aspect of this is the absolute disinterest in this phenomenon of white women identifying as any race other than white. The multiple instances that we know of strongly suggest that this is A Thing. Yet somehow we all just give the Gallic shrug and move on which is itself fascinating... in a death watch kinda way.

It worked for the Indians. I suggest adding a c4s1no and a gas station for good measure.

[MSN] Sen. John Fetterman will likely need to be hospitalized for at least "a few weeks" as he receives inpatient treatment for clinical depression in Washington, DC, a senior aide said Friday.
It’s been hard for staffers to tell whether the 53-year-old Pennsylvania Democrat has been unresponsive in recent weeks due to hearing loss from the stroke he suffered in May — or because he’s in the throes of despair, the aide told NBC.
"[He’s] not hearing you or is he sort of crippled by his depression and social anxiety," said the aide— adding that staffers were surprised by the severity of his depression.
The potential weeks-long mental health treatment won’t impact Fetterman’s ability to do his job in the future and his resignation is "not even on the table in any sense," the aide insisted.
Fetterman’s office announced Thursday that he had checked himself into Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after a stint at George Washington University Hospital last week for lightheadedness and other health problems.

Allow me to be the first to say "John Fetterman did not kill himself."

"...potential weeks-long mental health treatment won’t impact Fetterman’s ability to do his job in the future and his resignation is "not even on the table in any sense," the aide insisted."
So since the very start, he has been out in the Ozone physically and in the midst of serious mental illness break-down. Yet the LSD run Senate has not raised the issue of his ability to vote on our Constitutional rights, and pass laws that restrict citizens rights etc?
I also just checked "justfacts.votesmart.org"
It states he has NOT voted on any major bill, or law since taking office.
However, he has somehow co-sponsored bills protecting Abortion, greater Gun Control restrictions, weakening voter ID and voting ballot process restrictions, gone after oil companies as he Anti-GAS, pro-EV and including granting statehood for the District of Columbia?
Note: He is on the Senate Agriculture Committee, and it too is pushing ways to control what you can grow, how you can grow it, and what you can eat.

Given the laundry list of "co-sponsorship" bills, it gives clear evidence that this pathetic husk of an intellect is a mere cardboard cutout for the professional staff of the demokrat party. The farce will be elevated further as the thrift-store, fashion-plate wife parades in front of the cameras to assure Pennsylvanians of the "tireless, deeply thoughtful work her husband is doing as he fights for them! "
As an aside, with Lurch in the hospital psych ward, have Manchin and Sinema grasped they are back in short-term control of the Senate and the squeeze play on Chucky? If the Turtle isn't already on final approach for departure as his replacement is arranged, it might make for some interesting opportunities?

My planned joke was to call him a rock star senator and then equate him to someone like the lead singer for The Beach Boys. This is too sad for that. I am disgusted.
