Last night I watched the Clint Eastwood film on Richard Jewell and the ‘96 Olympic bombing. My starting assumption with this guy is that like Jewell he’s guilty of fitting a profile. Everything else is tbd.

Well. Any effort put into the "investigation" will be rayciss because the vics were white. How does a guy going to school halfway across the country come into contact with these people so much younger than him? If there is any sort of ongoing criminal activity among them all, who needs it covered up?
Questions, questions, questions...

DNA evidence played a key role in identifying Bryan Christopher Kohberger as a suspect in the killings, and officials were able to match his DNA to genetic material recovered during the investigation, a law enforcement official said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss details of the ongoing investigation.
WSU and UI are partners in several academic programs, and students sometimes attend classes and seminars or work at the neighboring schools. That doesn’t appear to be the case with Kohberger: University of Idaho President Scott Green wrote in a memo to students and employees on Friday evening that the Idaho school had no record of him.
DNA evidence isn’t always as clear cut as prosecutors and the FBI like to claim. 48 Hour Rule, guys, no matter how long that might actually be — so far the evidence is all circumstantial.
[NYP] Two Florida men killed each other in a deadly shootout at their shared business.
The shooting occurred Thursday afternoon at their business located at 3135 U.S. 92 East in Lakeland, Florida. While the Polk County Sheriff’s Office did not release the name of the business, a Google search shows Service On Site of Central Florida Inc., an auto service business, at the address.
The business partners, 31-year-old Akeido Bennett, and 39-year-old Xavier Figueroa, shot each other, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Bennett reportedly died at the scene of the shooting, while Figueroa attempted to leave the business in his truck, but died later from the gunshot injury.
"This was an avoidable tragedy stemming from a disagreement between business partners," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. "We all have an obligation to our friends, our families, and society at large to talk things out instead of turning to violence. These men would still be alive today, and their families would not be grieving, had they been able to work out their differences civilly."
Deputies said an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
[TheTruthAboutGuns] Violent crime continued in Detroit without interruption for the holiday season. An alleged armed robber tried his hand at it on Monday. He apparently contacted an auto salvage company, telling them he wanted them to purchase and haul away a junk car. When the tow truck arrived to pick up the hoopty, the intrepid criminal tried to ambush the driver.
Mr. Robber didn’t expect the hook’s driver to be so aware of his surroundings...or have his own gun. Given the fact that Mr. Tow Truck Driver had a concealed carry license and was carrying his gat that day, one might suspect that wasn’t his first rodeo.
So when Mr. Armed Robber ambushed the driver from behind, the driver shot him dead right there, potentially saving his own life.

[Jerusalem Post] Former Pope Benedict XVI died on Saturday in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican, a spokesman for the Holy See said.
"With sorrow, I inform you that the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, passed away today at 9:34 in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican. Further information will be provided as soon as possible," the spokesman said in a written statement. He had also spent his final years at the monastery, where his successor Pope Francis had visited him frequently, the BBC reported.
"With sorrow, I inform you that the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI, passed away today at 9:34 in the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican. Further information will be provided as soon as possible."
Holy See spokesman
He died at the age of 95 at his Vatican residence, BBC reported. He led the Catholic Church for eight years until 2013 when he had to step down due to health issues.
Benedict had fallen extremely ill before his passing. The Vatican had said in a statement on Wednesday that the former Pope had suffered a sudden "worsening" of his health. His announcement reportedly shocked the Catholic world, according to multiple sources, and also made him the first pope to resign since Gregory XII in 1415.

[Jerusalem Post] Medvedev made a list of 10 predictions he has for 2023 on Twitter.
"The Fourth Reich will be created, encompassing the territory of Germany and its satellites, i.e., Poland, the Baltic states, Czechia, Slovakia, the Kyiv Republic, and other outcasts," said Dmitry Medvedev, former president of Russia and a staunch supporter of the war in Ukraine, on Monday night.
This was the fourth of a list of 10 predictions Medvedev made for 2023, which he shared on Twitter.
MEDVEDEV'S ECONOMIC PREDICTIONS
Several of his other predictions related to economic and financial concerns, including that "Oil price[s] will rise to $150 a barrel, and gas price will top $5.000 per 1.000 cubic meters." He also claimed that "all the largest stock markets and financial activity will leave the US and Europe and move to Asia."
He further stated, "The Bretton Woods system of monetary management will collapse, leading to the IMF and World Bank crash. Euro and Dollar will stop circulating as the global reserve currencies. Digital fiat currencies will be actively used instead."
MEDVEDEV'S PREDICTIONS FOR EUROPE
When it comes to European relations, Medvedev claimed that the UK will rejoin the European Union, leading to its downfall.

Face it we been screwed again.
Since the CCP has already allowed a mass Exodus. Shouldn't all international passengers and crews be tested?
Besides, isn't 3 to 5 days after initial exposure before the C-19+ test will show positive?
So, those testing negative for exposure, after a series of flights connections (12 to 24 hours) could be quiet carriers on arrival and for several days there after.
[An Nahar] All border crossings linking Kosovo to Serbia reopened Friday after ethnic Serbs dismantled roadblocks they had set up in protest over a policeman's arrest, easing tensions in the volatile region.
Kosovo police said two smaller border crossings "opened for traffic in the afternoon" on Friday. The main border crossing at Merdare had reopened on Thursday.
The only barricade left standing in northern Kosovo is near the flashpoint city of Mitrovica, where two burnt trucks -- the target of suspected arson -- still block the road.
Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, after a bitter war in the late 1990s.
But Belgrade does not recognise it and encourages Kosovo's 120,000 ethnic Serbs to defy Pristina's authority -- especially in the north where they make up the majority.
The latest trouble erupted after ethnic Serbs in the north put up barricades to protest the arrest of a former policeman suspected of being involved in attacks against ethnic Albanian coppers -- effectively sealing off traffic on two border crossings.
After the roadblocks were set up, Kosovar police and international peacekeepers were attacked in several shooting incidents.
Serbian armed forces were put on heightened alert this week -- sparking fears the unrest would spread in the tense region.
But the Serbs agreed -- some of them reluctantly -- to remove the barricades after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic urged them to do so, following calls from the United States and the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... for de-escalation.
"We listened to the president. We will see what awaits us, we trust him," 55-year old Radoslava, who refused to give her surname, told AFP.
North Kosovo still faces a security and administrative vacuum as hundreds of ethnic Serbs coppers, mayors, judges and prosecutors -- collectively walked off their jobs in November.
They were protesting a controversial decision to ban Serbs living in Kosovo from using Belgrade-issued vehicle licence plates -- a policy that was eventually scrapped by Pristina.

[ToloNews] Save the Children in a report on Thursday said that more than 6.6 million people are facing hunger in Afghanistan which is on top of the countries facing severe hunger.

"The country with the highest number of people facing severe levels of hunger was Afghanistan where this number increased to 6.6 million in 2022 from 2.5 million in 2019," Save the Children said.
The organization said that the number of people facing severe hunger has surged in eight countries in the world by 57 percent between 2019 to 2022.
"The analysis, based on Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) data, found that Afghanistan,
Muslim theocracy now run by a bunch of terrorists
Central African Republic,
stereotypical dysfunctional sub-Saharan hellhole, resulting from the colonial French administration’sE attempt to improve things by modeling its governance on the Belgian Congo. Historic exports were ivory and slaves

It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... had the highest numbers of people facing emergency and catastrophic levels of hunger and malnutrition, between 2019 and 2022," the report said.
A number of Kabul residents said that an increase in unemployment is one of the main reasons behind the deteriorated economic situation among people.
"It has been one year that people cannot find jobs. We are here in Haji Yaqoub Square since morning and I even didn’t have lunch yet," said Mohammad Zarif, a daily wager in Kabul.
"We are 12 people at home. I am the only breadwinner for the family," said Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Kabul.
Analysts said that there is a need for investment in infrastructural projects to alleviate poverty in the country.
We did that. The Taliban destroyed much of that, as they destroyed the Soviet improvements before that.
"To reduce poverty in Afghanistan, there should be a focus on agriculture, investment, and management of issues that affect the poor people," said Mir Shakib Mir, an analyst in economic affairs.
"In short terms, to reduce poverty in Afghanistan, there is a need for Humanitarian assistance by the UN and other organizations as well as the ruling regime," said Siyar Quraishi, an economic affairs analyst.
Earlier, the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that the deteriorating economy has caused sharp declines in income, rising debt, and high unemployment and that due to a severe increase in commodity prices, people now spend 71 percent of their income on food.

RULE #1
Take care of HOME, before taking care of the world.
Seriously
Hell, with high inflation here in the USA, those on Fixed-Incomes here are trying to figure out how to do with 20% less themselves.
Given, many of these nation's ruling elite abuse their citizen rights and steal their property.
Have an open practice of murder for simple, mundane social, cultural or political violations.

Plus, a demonstrated history of misuse and abuse of donated $$$$$. Which is all too often used to fund Political and Private agendas. Things that have nothing to do with feeding the starving masses.
Given all this and more, my government and various charities still want my $$$$ to support this?
