More than 500 US military personnel have been paid for working as advisors for foreign governments
Retired military personnel are restricted from receiving anything of value from foreign governments that could compromise their sworn allegiance to the US
However if they are given permission by Congress they are allowed to carry out the lucrative work
Two four-star Generals, who worked for President Obama, have both worked for the Defense Ministry of Saudi Arabia
The majority of the personnel have worked as civilian contractors for Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other Persian Gulf monarchies
Foreign Employment
SIMPLIFIED RULE: Unless you receive prior authorization from your Service Secretary and the Secretary of State, you may forfeit your military retired pay during the time you perform services for a foreign government.
RULE: The Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution prohibits retired military personnel and reservists from receiving pay from Foreign Governments without Congressional authorization. This may extend to receipt of pay from a U.S. contractor or subcontractor for providing services to a Foreign Government and profit sharing at any commercial firm or business. In 37 U.S.C. § 908, Congress authorizes the Secretary of State and Secretary of the appropriate Military Department to approve such receipt of pay. That’s my understanding, too, swksvolFF. The Daily Mail isn’t good at historical perspective — I was under the impression that this kind of thing has been going on since the Cold War. Are these numbers higher than usual?

At the end of September, Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... signed with the coalition-backed government in Aden a new fuel grant for power plants in the occupied provinces worth $ 200 million.
The so-called "Saudi program" headed by Mohammed al-Jaber, will provide 250,000 metric tons of oil derivatives for the operating the electricity stations in southern provinces.

[IsraelTimes] Chained, blindfolded men led to courthouse amid media reports of ’bungled’ snatch operation leading to more than a dozen arrests.
Malaysia on Tuesday publicly paraded around several suspects who were reportedly arrested for kidnapping a Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, operative on behalf of the Mossad so that he could be interrogated by Israel.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... the alleged agents, all local Malaysians, bungled the operation, enabling police to free their captive, reportedly bursting in as Israelis were questioning him via video call.
Footage broadcast on Malaysian news channels showed several men walking in a line to the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court, their hands manacled and eyes covered.
Local media reports said they are among at least 11 people who have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping.
Malaysia’s Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said authorities will investigate the matter and take action if the Israeli spy agency is found to be behind the incident.
"We should look into matters like this," and will announce further actions, he said, according to a report from the New Strait Times.
Malaysia, a majority-Moslem nation and strong supporter of the Paleostinian cause, does not have any diplomatic relations with Israel.
The New Strait Times claims that authorities in Malaysia recently freed a Paleostinian man who had allegedly been captured late last month by local Mossad operatives and was being interrogated near Kuala Lumpur for his supposed affiliation with the Hamas terror group and its armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
On September 28, a team of four operatives kidnapped the Paleostinian man, who is from the Hamas-ruled Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip, as he was getting into a vehicle with another Gazook man in the Malaysian capital. Both were said to be computer programming experts.
The second man, who according to Malaysian reports tried to help his friend, was warned to stay away as the operatives dragged their target to a waiting van. He then hurried to alert authorities of the incident, reportedly realizing that his lover companion was being snatched by the Mossad.
Citing a source with knowledge of the case, the New Strait Times reported the kidnapped man was beaten in the van and taken to a chalet in a secluded area of Kuala Langat district, southwest of the capital.
At the chalet, the Paleostinian man was tied to a chair and made to face Israeli interrogators via video, who reportedly told him: "You know why you are here."
The interrogation went on for about a day before Malaysian authorities raided the cabin and arrested the alleged operatives while taking the Paleostinian abductee into custody.
Malaysian Police Inspector-General Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said that 11 people had already been charged last week in connection with the case.
According to the Malaysian report, the Paleostinian man sustained multiple injuries during the alleged beatings by the operatives and has since left Malaysia along with the second Paleostinian.
The Gaza Interior and National Security Ministry on Monday thanked Malaysian authorities for rescuing the Paleostinian man, and denounced Mossad for the kidnapping.
"This has exposed the activities of Mossad members operating abroad and their larger network," the ministry said, according to a New Strait Times report.

[Rudaw] The US state department on Monday said that the American nationals held in Iran’s notorious Evin prison are safe following the fire that engulfed the facility earlier this week, adding that Washington is "closely monitoring" their situation.
A fire erupted at the notorious Evin prison in the capital of Tehran on Saturday, killing at least eight and injuring 61 others, according to the Iranian judiciary’s website. The prison holds political prisoners and foreign detainees, including several US nationals.
"The detained U.S. citizens in Iran ...The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both... are accounted for and they are safe," Vedant Patel, deputy spokesperson for the US State Department, told news hounds during a press briefing on Monday, reiterating calls for "the immediate release" of wrongfully detained American citizens.
Patel also added that the US will continue to work with other countries "to remind Iran of its responsibility for the safety of our detained citizens."
The incident at Evin comes as hundreds have also been detained by Iranian authorities during the latest wave of countrywide protests over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa (Zhina) Amini while in jug of the country’s morality police.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Monday that Washington wants to demonstrate its solidarity with the protesters in Iran "who are standing up for their most basic rights their most fundamental freedoms, at extraordinary personal risk."
Authorities have cracked down violent mostly peacefully on protesters over the past month. On Monday, the Oslo-based Iran Human Rights reported that at least 215 people have been killed across Iran since protests began on September 16.
The protests are a reflection of the Iranian people’s frustration with their leadership, Blinken claimed, adding that attempts by Iran to put the blame on the US shows that the authorities of the country are "profoundly misreading and misunderstanding their own people."
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Sunday criticized his US counterpart, Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The guy who lost Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle... , for expressing solidarity with the protesters in Iran, saying Biden’s comments have incited "chaos" and "terror" in the country.
[Rudaw] Iraq is set to repatriate 152 more families with links to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) from northeast Syria’s (Rojava) notorious al-Hol camp to al-Jada camp in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh, a ministerial official told Rudaw on Monday.
Iraqis have made up more than half of the population of al-Hol camp in Rojava’s Hasaka province for years. Most of the camp's 56,000 residents are wives and children of the Islamic State (ISIS) fighters.
"Another batch of ISIS-affiliated families, numbering 152, are set to be repatriated to Iraq from al-Hol camp on Tuesday," Ali Jihangir, spokesperson for Iraq’s Ministry of Migration and Displaced, told Rudaw’s Hastyar Qadir on Monday.
The families are from the provinces of Nineveh, Salahaadin, and Anbar, and will be transferred to al-Jada camp for rehabilitation before they’re sent back to their homes, the spokesperson added.
Iraq has so far repatriated 750 families from al-Hol, 450 of which have completed the rehabilitation process and been sent back to their original places of residency, according to Jihangir.
Al-Jada is one of just two camps still open in areas under federal Iraqi control, and mainly houses families with suspected links to ISIS.
Syria’s autonomous Kurdish region has transferred more than 600 relatives of suspected jihadists detained at the notorious al-Hol camp to Iraq, a war monitor and a Kurdish security source said Tuesday.
"The Iraqi government repatriated 161 families, including 659 people, from al-Hol camp to Iraq," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Iraqi families left al-Hol camp, which lies less than 10 kilometers (six miles) from the Iraqi border for their home country in a move coordinated by Iraqi authorities, the monitor said.
A Kurdish security source who requested anonymity said that 634 Iraqis had crossed from al-Hol to their country on Tuesday.
The UN said more than 100 people have been murdered in the increasingly lawless camp since the start of 2021.
Kurdish forces arrested more than 200 people last month, after a three-week operation against IS supporters there discovered tunnels used by jihadists and seized an arsenal of weapons.
[An Nahar] President Michel Aoun ...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah... noted Tuesday that "those who contributed to ruining Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... cannot be able to rescue it."
"And those who put obstacles in the way of combating corruption and achieving reform cannot be trusted in the phase of reviving the country. Accordingly, the change that the Lebanese aspire for must be realized," the President added.
"Following investigations, the culprits were exposed and referred to court, but the judiciary was lax in performing its duty and the judges refraining from looking into matters," Aoun lamented.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS] Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, Major General Hossein Salami has warned Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... about the price the kingdom will have to pay for sponsoring anti-Iranian media outlets."Saudis are trying to provoke the Iranian youth. And we advised them to control the regime affiliated media, otherwise, the consequences will not be avoidable for the regime, " Major General Salami said on the sidelines of a military exercise in northwest of Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... on Monday.
"You are involved in this matter and know that you are vulnerable, it is better to be careful," the IRGC commander stressed .
He urged Riyadh to mind its manners and rein in the anti-Iranian media outlets, warning that the consequences of Saudi Arabia’s actions "will reflect upon itself."
Saudi Arabia and Iran have been conducting Iraqi-mediated negotiations for months to ease their dispute, and the two sides have held several rounds in this regard in the capital Baghdad.
Iran accuses Saudi Arabia of funding the Persian-language channel Iran International and of conducting exaggeratedly extensive coverage of and support for Iranian affairs and protests, while Tehran calls it a "source of strife" and "street pitfall" against the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
