[Babylon Bee] U.S.—The death toll is continuing to rise in connection with the devastating January 6th riots, as one of the attendees has died of a heart attack a year-and-a-half after he was pictured eating a corndog there.
"Over a year after this horrific attack on our holy democracy, the catastrophic death toll continues to rise," said Congressman Adam Schiff. "The death of Bob Billings of a massive heart attack after eating one of the artery-clogging corndogs sold at the Capitol Riot again reminds us of how deadly and dark this dark-deadly day was. That must be, like, a thousand dead now. Those of us still here are lucky to be alive."
Congress is investigating more charges that can be brought against Trump in connection with Billings' death, in addition to the other casualties—such as those who got in car accidents on the way home from the rally, those who died of January 6th-connected myocarditis, and those who died of heartbreak due to Biden being inaugurated.
"It may be many years before we really know the true death toll of January 6th, but you can be sure we will continue to talk about it until it no longer effectively raises campaign funds for us," said Schiff.
At publishing time, Congress announced the additional January 6th death of a protestor who claimed to have dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Briefly, on the official recognition of Deputy Prime Minister Borisov on the topic that the army is not properly provided with UAVs. Despite all the sarcasm about the recognition of an obvious fact, it is worth noting that official recognition is an important step towards solving the problem.

As a note: there has been a marked increase in artillery attacks and resulting civilian casualties on western Donetsk city and in Gorlovka. These artillery strikes vary from those that went on starting in 2014, in that now the civilian casualty rate is much higher.
At the outset of the war, I figured the Russians would first move to clear out Ukrainian forces arrayed against Donetsk in the northern and western sectors before attempting operations elsewhere; that the Ukrainians before they capitulate or withdraw, would do as much damage as they could.
If you've read any at all from the Russian perspective and even in past reports -- starting in Jan, 2015 that have been on display at Rantburg -- the three locales the artillery is coming from, Avdievka, Opytnoye, and Peski, have been very tough positions for the separatist forces to take, so much so that until this war, separatist forces had not even tried to take for the casualties they could suffer.
[ColonelCassad] Today, more than 120 Grad and Uragan MLRS rockets, as well as from 100 to 150 artillery shells of 155-mm caliber (NATO) have been fired at Donetsk.
Officially they talk about the dead and 22 wounded. The numbers are not final. Dozens of houses and buildings were damaged.

Their results: "... no significant relationship between mask mandates and case rates." Color me shocked.
