[ToloNews] Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani ...son of Pashtun warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani, still titular head of the Haqqani Network.... at a gathering for reconciliation between the Haqqani family and a tribe in the Garda-Serai district of Paktia called for the resolution of disputes through negotiation.
Many tribal elders gathered to reconcile a feud between the Haqqani family and Sori Khail tribe after more than 60 years of hostility.
"We made an agreement today in which we will turn such hostilities into friendships. After that we will go to Pashtun-infested Logar, Kabul, Shinwari, and eastern areas and will solve such hostilities," he said.
"Such steps will be taken in regard to the traditional taboos such as killing someone else instead of the killer," said Anas Haqqani, a senior member of the Islamic Emirate. "We will try to seek forgiveness for the killers but if it doesn’t happen, another person should not be killed instead of the killer. The old hostilities remain from the ancestors, it should not make trouble for the rest of the families."
According to the residents, several decades ago a member of the Sori Khail tribe was killed in a dispute with the family of Haqqani.
"My wish from the people and nation is to forgive each other as we did," said Ahmad Khan, a relative of the person who was killed several years ago by the Haqqani family.
Haqqani said he respects the outcome of the gathering made by the tribal elders.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... both sides reconciled and hugged each other after a decision made by the elders in the gathering.
"We urge all tribes to resolve all types of disputes that happened among them. It should be eliminated. We will launch the convoy of peace from here," said Mawlawi Abdullah, governor of Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... .
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate said it will discuss with American officials the fate of helicopters designated for Afghanistan but given to the Ukraine by the US.
Earlier, SIGAR reported that 16 Mi-17 helicopters and 17 other pieces of military equipment which the US allocated for Afghanistan were given to Ukraine.
According to SIGAR, On January 19, DOD notified Congress that it intended to transfer five U.S.-procured former Afghan Mi-17 helicopters that had been undergoing maintenance in Ukraine to the Ukrainian government. Ukraine accepted these excess defense articles on March 11, 2022.
"In mid-April, President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan...... announced a military assistance package to Ukraine that included an additional 11 Mi-17 helicopters that had been scheduled for Afghanistan," SIGAR said in a recent report. "DOD also transferred nearly 16 million rounds of varied nonstandard munitions, originally procured for Afghanistan, to Ukraine."
Analysts believe that the lack of recognition of the current Afghan government could be one of the obstacles for the US to hand over the aircraft to Afghanistan.
"There is a legal aspect--the Islamic Emirate has yet to be recognized by the US and other countries, therefore, the Americans believe that if they had a deal, it was with the former government. So, until the legitimacy of Islamic Emirate is solved, handing over Afghanistan’s property to the Islamic Emirate will face challenges," said Javid Javid, a political analyst.
However, some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves... the Islamic Emirate said it will negotiate with the US officials to retake the helicopters.
"First of all, the traitors are those who fled with these helicopters from Afghanistan. Second, we are talking about the fate of them with the Americans and with the country’s where our helicopters are present. We are trying to bring the Afghanistan property back to Afghanistan," Islamic Emirate’s front man, Zabiullah Mujahid, said.
Earlier, the Islamic Emirate said more than 40 aircraft had been flown to neighboring countries of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan after the fall of the former government. The Islamic Emirate called on the countries to hand over these aircrafts to Afghanistan.

[ToloNews] Thousands of children were provided with teachers and other educational resources in the province of Pashtun-infested Logar, the provincial educational department said.
Many children in the rural areas of the province are deprived of education.
"We have 400 classrooms and we have appointed 400 teachers in all provinces of Pashtun-infested Logar," said Mawlawi Janat Gul Aziz, head of the provincial department of education.
The classes are being supported by UNICEF in cooperation with IRC.
"The period of the classes taught in the villages is nine months each year and the period of quick classes is six months (twice each year)," said Mohammad Alam Ghalib, head of Wadan organization.
Meanwhile, ...back at the pond, the radioactive tadpoles grown into frogs. Really big frogs, in fact... the students are happy about their classes but called for further facilities in the education area.
The classes are being taught on the local level until grade three.
"Our teacher teaches Islamic lessons. He teaches us Pashto and math," said Marriam a student. A LOT of Islamic lessons, not so much Pashto and math
"I was not interested in the school. When the school began here, I became happy and thanked them," said Noorzia, a student.
The residents of Pashtun-infested Logar said that many children are deprived of schooling due to lack of access.
"There was war previously. Many children couldn’t go to school. All of them have been deprived of an education," said Mohammad Jamshid, Zarinzoi.
[ToloNews] Even though women's driving licenses have been suspended in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province, some women and girls are driving freely in Herat city.
Shiama Wafa is one of dozens of female drivers in Herat. she is a journalist and it has been over ten years that she has been driving. She says that she goes out of her house every day with her car and there are no restrictions for her.
"It is very pleasing and helpful for me that I have the talent and ability to take care of my work and go to work in my own car," Shiama Wafa told TOLOnews.
According to Wafa, driving in a traditional city like Herat has not been easy for women and girls.
"It has been many years since we have been allowed to do the same as men who drive and solve their problems," Shima added.
Since the political change in the country, driving education and the distribution of driving licenses to women and girls in Herat have stopped. Herat Traffic Management said it is waiting for the order of the General Directorate of Traffic to resume driving licenses for women.
"In the early days, we distributed several licenses (driver's licenses) to those who applied for in the previous government, But in this government, we did not have any courses for women, and this is suspended until the next order," said Omid Muntaqem, the director of Herat Traffic Management.
But local officials in Herat said there are still no restrictions on women and girls driving in the province.
"If sometimes some issues arise due to lack of information, no high-level official letter has been sent about it and nothing has been said about this issue so far," said Naeem al-Haq Haqqani, Herat's director of information and culture.
The presence of women drivers in recent years in the city of Herat has become more prominent. Although Herat is a traditional city, there has been no serious opposition to the driving of women and girls.
...until the next time it is destroyed, anyway. This is why Afghans don’t have nice things.
[KhaamaPress] Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has announced that one of the power poles that was recently entirely demolished by unknown people has been repaired.
In a newsletter published on Tuesday, 10th May, DABS stated that work on repairing the second electricity pole is also progressing quickly.
Due to the demolition of two imported electrical outlets by unknown individuals in the Salang area of Parwan province two weeks ago, electricity was shut off in Kabul and 11 other provinces.
DABS is attempting to fix the power poles in Kabul and the regions for the second time because unidentified people blow them up.
Electricity will be supplied to Kabul and the provinces once the second power line is completed, and it is worth noting that the repair of these substations has cost more than a hundred thousand dollars.
[KhaamaPress] A handful of women in Kabul have staged demonstrations in response to the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... ’s decision to "make hijab mandatory," with Talibs allegedly dispersing protesters and detaining journalists.
At the protest today on Tuesday, protesters chanted "The burqa is not our hijab" and "Afghan women in the Taliban’s grip — the Afghan people in need a mouthful of bread," three days after the Taliban decreed "the hijab mandatory."
They erupted into the streets with the slogan "Bread, Work, and Freedom," claiming that their rallies were a continuation of Afghan women’s protests.
The demonstration began at the Ansari square of Shahr-e-Naw and continued just outside of the Ministry of Interior, where the Taliban surrounded them and detained journalists, according to Zhulia Parsi, one of the protesting girls.
The journalists have been detained, according to Zhulia Parsi, and she has no idea where they are being held. "The Taliban snatched the girls’ smartphones and took them away," she claimed.
Taliban forces reportedly ripped down the banners and dispersed the protesters, according to Zhulia.
The Taliban wanted to take the women inside the ministry and force them to confess, Zhulia Parsi told the news hounds.
The Taliban released an order to make hijab mandatory three days ago, which sparked massive national and international outrage.

With respect to “measure” I think we can rule out invasion. Maybe we tariff burka exports or block their imports of HUMVEE parts. I think we can rule out the most logical measure: don’t recognize them or give them any money.

[Rudaw] A Belgian court on Tuesday dismissed the appeals of three Iranians accused of plotting a thwarted kaboom in Gay Paree in 2018 and sentenced one of them to an extra three years in prison, according to Belgian media.
Assadollah Assadi, 50, Mehrdad Arefani, 58, Amir Saadouni, 41, and Nasimeh Naami, 37, were arrested in June 2018, accused of being involved in an attempted bombing at an anti-Iranian regime rally in Gay Paree. The four were handed judgements of varying prison sentences by a Belgian court in 2021.
Arefani, Saadouni, and Naami filed appeals, claiming to have been coerced and threatened into participating in the attack; Assadi has not yet filed an appeal. They previously identified Assadi as their "longtime handler," while the latter claimed not to know them.
Their appeal was rejected by the court, keeping Naami’s sentence at 18 years, Arefani’s at 17, and increasing Saadouni’s sentence from 15 to 18. All three also had their Belgian citizenship revoked, Belgian media reported.
"The court finds the allegation by Saadouni and Naami that they assumed that the explosives would only cause noise and fireworks to be implausible," the Antwerp-based Dutch newspaper De Morgen cited the court as saying. "Everything was meticulously prepared beforehand and the modus operandi to be used was also discussed in detail," it continued.
Assadi, sentenced to 20 years in prison, is an Iranian diplomat widely believed to be the criminal mastermind behind the thwarted attack. Iran ...They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has condemned the verdict, and made efforts to secure his release.
"The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the announcement by a court in Antwerp, Belgium, according to which Mr. Assadollah Assadi... was sentenced to 20 years in prison," foreign ministry front man Saeed Khatibzadeh commented after Assadi’s verdict was announced in February 2021.
Iran had warned even before the conviction that it would not recognise the trial or the verdict, denying any official role in the plot and insisting Assadi ought to have enjoyed immunity from prosecution.
Ahmed Reza Jalali, 50, a Swedish-Iranian doctor who was arrested in Iran on charges of alleged spying for the Israeli government is expected to be executed later this month.
Zabihollah Khodayian, the spokesperson for Iran’s judiciary, on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of exchanging the dual national with Hamid Noury, 61, a former Iranian official on trial for war crimes in Sweden, in a move that will see Iranian and European relations further strained.

[IsraelTimes] Israel has revoked the entry permits of over 1,100 Paleostinians whose relatives were involved in terror attacks, including several recent deadly assaults, security officials tell Hebrew media.
"Any Paleostinian who thinks of choosing the way of terror should know that the attack he commits will fatally harm his family," an official is quoted as saying.
[IsraelTimes] Jerusalem reportedly tells allies that hits on terror leaders are planned in retaliation for attacks; UK Times newspaper names Saleh al-Arouri, Zaher Jabarin as potential targets.
Israel has reportedly told foreign allies that it is readying teams to carry out the assassination of leaders of the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, terrorist group who live abroad in retaliation for a wave of deadly terror attacks.
Unnamed intelligence sources told Britannia’s The Times newspaper in an article published Monday that a "clear message" needed to be sent to the terror organization.

[IsraelTimes] Report says Internal Security Minister Barlev and police have no objection to adding 50 new members, but want those who expressed support for Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, to be fired.
The Prime Minister’s Office denied on Tuesday that Israel has agreed to a demand from Jordan that it be allowed to increase the staff of the Waqf, the Islamic religious trust responsible for day-to-day administration of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
"There is no change or new development in the situation on the Temple Mount — Israel’s illusory sovereignty is preserved," the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

[BenarNews] Five Indonesian nationals who had their assets frozen by the United States are suspected of being involved in financing the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. [AnNahar] Hizbullah ...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory... chief Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb... on Tuesday stressed that his party should be represented in any future government, as he emphasized that Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years. It produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. That's three statements. Only the first is subjective.... cannot be ruled in a unilateral manner regardless of who wins the parliamentary majority.
"We will keep insisting on being present in any government, regardless of its nature, structure and program, in order to protect the resistance's back," Nasrallah told an electoral rally via video link.
"Lebanon cannot bear a leading sect nor a leading party, no matter how much this party may enjoy strength and popular support," Nasrallah added.
"Elimination and exclusion under the slogans of majority and minority would plunge Lebanon into adventures, and I stress that we are with national partnership in order to pull Lebanon out of its crises," the Hizbullah leader went on to say.
Emphasizing that the country is "built on partnership and non-elimination," Nasrallah added that everyone must be represented in parliament according to their "natural sizes."
"Under a sectarian system like the Lebanese one, any talk of majorities and minorities is not realistic," he underlined.
Separately, Nasrallah emphasized that Lebanon "cannot bear a new civil war, even for changing the political system."
"Civil war should be a prohibited red line," Nasrallah added.
"There are problems and flaws in this system that must be addressed through reform," he said.
In an apparent jab at the rival Lebanese Forces A Christian political party founded by Bashir Gemayel, who was then bumped off when he was elected president of Leb... party, Nasrallah said the Lebanese are asked to choose between "those who call for civil peace and cling to it despite being killed on the roads of Tayyouneh" and those who "offer their services to foreign forces and are ready to make a civil war in Lebanon."
He added that his party and its Amal Movement allies "carried their deaders and maimed and insisted on civil peace despite having the ability to take Dire Revenge."
Denying that his party is subordinate to Iran, Nasrallah said: "We are neither tools nor agents nor chess pieces. The Islamic Theocratic Republic does not interfere in Lebanon, neither in politics nor in elections, and you have seen which ambassadors are touring Lebanon."
Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said on Tuesday that the current political atmosphere is not in favor of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... , and that "We will witness major political changes in the upcoming period."
This came during a panel discussion on Afrin which was held in Aleppo northern countryside under the title "Afrin between the Ottoman Turkish Occupation and International Interests" on Tuesday and will last for two days.
The panel was attended by 90 representatives of organizations and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), as well as independent personalities, most of who participated virtually via Zoom Platform.
On May 3, the Ottoman Turkish President revealed preparations for a new project that would allow the "voluntary return" of one million Syrian refugees to the Ottoman Turkish-controlled areas in northern Syria.
Accordingly, Abdi expressed the need to stand against the Ottoman Turkish plan and work to stop its project, as well as stop its "crimes" in Afrin.
The SDF Commander-in-Chief considered that Afrin was occupied as a result of an "international conspiracy", and the political circumstances did not help to make any successful steps to liberate it.
In 2018, Ottoman Turkish military and its affiliated Syrian National Army (SNA) launched an offensive on Afrin region and occupied it following two months of battles with the Kurdish People’s Protections Units (YPG).
He pointed out that they have in mind the liberation of the occupied areas, like Sere Kaniye and Afrin, calling on the Kurds to unite for that.
"The indigenous people of Afrin are resisting inside and outside their region. In Shahba region [Aleppo northern countryside], they are steadfast in the face of difficult life conditions. Those people are overlooked by Turkey," Abdi noted.
The panel discussion will last over three sessions that include different topics, and will be concluded with a statement and a presser.
