[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The Supreme Political Council of Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... has on Saturday confirmed that "dealing with the humanitarian file is the test and the real indicator of the success of the truce and the transition to positive steps after it."In its meeting, headed by President Mahdi al-Mashat, the Council stressed that "the correct dialogue in the beginning is with the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition, and the humanitarian file and the lifting of the siege take precedence over the military and political aspects."
The meeting discussed the current developments on the national arena, in the light of the armistice announced by the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... At the meeting, the Supreme Political Council stressed the necessity of Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... ’s commitment to lifting the blockade, removing all obstacles to the ships’ arrival at the port of Hodeidah and opening Sanaa International Airport. The Council said it considered this as the way to deal with the rest of the issues, and said that any delay in this will shake confidence in the credibility of the truce.
The Supreme Political Council reiterated its firm stance towards honourable peace.
The meeting also dealt with the actions taken by the coalition recently in Riyadh under the so-called "consultations" and the accompanying launch of the so-called "leadership council" as an alternative to the nominal rule of the exiled Abdrabbuh Mansuur Hadi and Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
In this regard, the Council affirmed that "the Yemeni people are not concerned with illegal measures issued by an illegal party outside the country," noting that "what happened in replacing the roles of mercenaries should serve as a lesson to the rest of the mercenaries, as there is no legitimacy granted by the aggression countries."
The Supreme Political Council praised the awareness of the Yemeni people, who "became aware of all the conspiracies that the coalition is hatching to undermine their willpower and steadfastness and the great sacrifices they made for the soil of the country."
During the meeting, the Council affirmed that it seeks by all means to alleviate the suffering of the citizens caused by the continuation of obstacles to the arrival of fuel ships. It also called for the release of the captives on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan under the rule of releasing all those held by Yemen in exchange for all those held by the coalition.

[An Nahar] The new head of Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... 's internationally recognized government has said that the council he was chosen to lead will work to end the country's grinding, eight-year civil war.
In his first televised address, Rashad al-Alimi thanked his government's backers —Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... and the United Arab Emirates — which have been helping Yemeni government forces fight the Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... rebels for years.
Al-Alimi's speech comes as both sides trade accusations of breaking the week-old internationally brokered cease-fire that was ushered in at the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. The truce is supposed to last two months but many similar efforts in Yemen's conflict have floundered in the past.
On Thursday, Yemen's exiled president Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi stepped aside in a move likely orchestrated in Riyadh, and transferred his powers to the presidential council lead by al-Alimi.
"This is a council of peace, but it is also a council of defense and strength," he said.
The country's new head of government made no mention of any compromise with the Houthis. He thanked the U.N. and U.S. envoys to Yemen for their efforts but also praised all who attempted to "take back the country and its institutions."
On Friday, both sides said they had documented some 80 violations of the cease-fire in just the past day, in reports published on their official media. The United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... ' envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg on Wednesday expressed concerns about reports of violations of the truce.

[NYPOST] Convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev ...the pretty, ethnic-Chechen college boy from Dagestan who, with his highly connected, “self-radicalized” older brother, used pressure cooker bombs to blow up the Boston Marathon in 2013. The mosque the brothers frequented, the Islamic Society of Boston, is a hotbed of jihadi sentiment and connections to so many different jihadi groups and individuals the mind boggles. It was founded by Clinton Friend and Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi as a Muslim Student Association/Muslim Brotherhood project in 1981. According to Russian intelligence, whose warning about our lads President Obama’s intelligence agencies ignored until afterward, the Tsarnaev boys had lots of jihadi-connected friends back in the Olde Countrie, too, but nobody seems to have found a formal connection between them and any registered jihadi group. He’s been living in Florence Supermax prison since he was sentenced in 2015... is again trying to avoid execution after his death sentence ...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead... was reinstated by the Supreme Court last month.
Tsarnaev’s attorneys, in a filing on Thursday, asked the US Circuit Court of Appeals to consider four constitutional claims not taken up by the high court.
His lawyers claimed the trial court "improperly forced" Tsarnaev to stand trial in Boston; allowed his "coerced confession" to be admitted as evidence; denied his challenges to two jurors accused of lying during questioning; and dismissed a potential juror because they opposed the death penalty
The appeal was made in response to a Wednesday filing by the appeals court to comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling that Tsarnaev’s execution sentence be reinstated.
"Because these four claims on direct appeal have not yet been adjudicated by any appellate court, Tsarnaev respectfully submits that the April 6 judgment was entered in error and should be vacated," the filing states.
Prosecutors agreed that the defense’s four claims have not been resolved, but said in their response "The government believes that the defendant’s death sentences should be affirmed."
[JUSTTHENEWS] Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five... was tossed out of office early Sunday morning in Pakistain, with the country's main legislative body voting by a bare majority in favor of a no-confidence measure directed at the now-former leader.
Members of the opposition party in Pakistain's National Assembly voted 174-168 in favor of the no-confidence resolution, securing a razor-thin margin in favor of throwing out Khan, a former cricket star turned political leader.
Members of Khan's party had earlier staged walkouts in opposition to the process. The parliamentarian speaker of the house had also resigned in protest.
While no Pak prime minister has ever completed a full term in the country's 75-year history, Khan is the first Pak prime minister to be removed from office through a no-confidence measure. The prime minister had earlier tried to dissolve parliament in an attempt to head off efforts to oust him.
Critics had alleged that Khan had mismanaged the country's economic affairs. Khan, meanwhile, has called upon his supporters to stage nationwide demonstrations in opposition to the efforts to unseat him.

[IsraelTimes] But defense minister indicates more lenient Ramadan policies toward Paleostinians will continue elsewhere; says he’ll expedite plan to fix gaps in security barrier
Israeli authorities imposed new restrictions Saturday on the West Bank governorate of Jenin, which has seen repeated firefights between Israeli soldiers and Paleostinian button men and from which the perpetrators of two recent major terror attacks hailed.
The Jalameh and Rihan checkpoints in the Jenin area will be closed for Arab Israelis to enter and exit, according to Israel’s military liaison to the Paleostinians, which is widely known by its acronym COGAT.
The crossings are a key economic artery for the city. Arab Israelis regularly enter to shop in Jenin, and the Ramadan holy month is a crucial time for businesses to get in the black.
At the same time, Defense Minister Benny Gantz indicated Israel would continue its policy of loosening some restrictions for West Bank Paleostinians during Ramadan, after previously warning the more relaxed policies could be "threatened by terrorism."
Israel has eased freedom of movement for Paleostinians who wish to attend Friday prayers at Jerusalem’s al-Aqsa Mosque during the Moslem holy month, including allowing kids, women, and some men entry without permits.
Gantz said the army "will continue and intensify" operations "alongside the continuation of civil policy as was agreed" — a reference to the eased restrictions.
According to the Defense Ministry, Gantz will also bring a plan to invest NIS 360 million ($111 million) to plug gaps the West Bank security barrier to the cabinet for approval on Sunday, after recent terror attacks committed by Paleostinians who snuck through gaps in the fence.
In addition to the crossings being closed, Paleostinian businessmen from Jenin holding elite permits issued by the Israeli army will also be banned, although ordinary day laborers will be permitted through the crossing as usual, COGAT said.
Jenin’s Paleostinians residents will also be banned from visiting first-degree relatives in Israel. Authorities permit some Paleostinians to conduct family visits during Ramadan as a gesture to Paleostinians during the holy month.
Jenin governor Akram Rajoub slammed the Israeli restrictions as "collective punishment," saying it would only lead to more violence.
"When you punish all of Jenin, prevent commerce and workers, you push people into a corner. Expect them to do anything," Rajoub told The Times of Israel.
Rajoub declined to condemn the murderous Moslems behind recent attacks who hailed from the area. He also distanced himself from Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase.... , who has denounced the attacks.
