The convoy is being cheered on every step of the way as patriots stand up for America.
It has already gone through Indiana and now has over 7,000 trucks involved and taking part. That is going to cause very big traffic jams in the small city of DC; let me tell you.
Winding its way out of California and across the heartland, the truckers’ message has been simple: bring back liberty to America. End the mandates, the forced vaccinations, and the masking. Let our kids go to school, let our businesses make money.
The message is essentially to follow our Constitution and stop allowing unelected tyrants like Dr. Fauci to run this country and its economy into the ground.
It’s really not a radical message. However, when inflation is sky high and the world is coming apart at the seams, there are lots of excuses from the liberal establishment.
These 7,000 truckers are coming around to remind us that there’s never a justifiable time to ignore liberty and the Constitution.

I would personally recommend not trying to keep DC paralyzed for too long as the Canadian truckers did. Could get ugly and they might lose sympathy that way. Better to make your point in DC and then go on strike. They can't arrest you for going on strike.

[Republic Brief] Despite requests from the Ukrainian government for stinger missiles months ago, U.S. Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) stated that the missiles only began arriving in Ukraine a week ago, during Russia’s invasion of the country.
"The stingers didn’t start arriving until about a week ago. They should have had them. They should have had them on day one. Those things should have been shooting up from Kharkiv, from Kyiv, from the border," he said in an interview on Wednesday.
Waltz stated that Ukrainians he spoke with on his visit in December were "extremely frustrated" by the fact that they had not received the air defense systems at the same time Russian troops were building up at the border.
"The Ukrainians that I met with were incredibly frustrated in December that they didn’t, they weren’t getting what they asked for," he recalled. "How much more effective would they be right now if they had more Javelins, more body armor, more stingers?"
CNN reported on November 23 that some in the Biden administration were worried that Russia would view sending stingers as a major escalation.
According to CNN, an additional $200 million in security assistance was authorized to Ukraine on January 10 by the Biden administration, which consists of small arms and ammunition, secure radios, spare parts for medical equipment, and other equipment, but no stingers.
CNN quoted a source saying it was "not a game-changer and would not be enough to serve as a major impediment to a Russian invasion," and said the Ukrainian government has expressed a desire for more security assistance than the U.S. has provided so far.
As reported by Politico Nightly on January 11, the U.S. armed forces "are wary of seeing their equipment shipped off to Eastern Europe." "After all, replacing transferred Stinger missiles and other material takes time, thus leaving them with a temporary weapons gap," according to the outlet.
Waltz, a Green Beret and member of the Florida National Guard, made contact with Ukrainians in December. He was visiting Florida National Guard troops at the time being deployed to Ukraine to train Ukrainian forces. He said that some of these forces are now in Poland while others are back home.
Waltz said he still has questions over the Biden administration’s most recent announcement that $350 million would be sent to Ukraine for military equipment.
"Where did $350 million dollars [figure] come from? Why not $250 million? Why not $500 million? Why that number, was that a needs-based assessment? If you look at the breakdown, it’s really not enough. It’s about enough to equip a battalion," he said.
"I don’t think what we’re providing is what the Ukrainians need. It’s nowhere near what they need. Even if you start adding up the other allied contributions. It’s nowhere near," he said.
According to him, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has personally assured him that the latest aid shipment is "arriving in Ukrainian’s hands right now."
He and other lawmakers heard from a senior defense official on Wednesday, and Waltz said the conflict in Ukraine has already turned into an insurgency.
"The main thing you need is a demonstrated will to fight and [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky has galvanized his population, and the Russians have made a strategic mistake in not being able to shut down the commercial internet. Every day that [Zelensky] is on television, the Europeans have been shamed into doing more," he explained.
[The Hill] Fox News host Greg Gutfeld thanked his colleagues at the network this week for helping evacuate his mother-in-law from Ukraine to Poland during the Russian invasion.
During a segment on Fox News, Gutfeld spoke with the network’s Pentagon correspondent Lucas Tomlinson, mentioning that Tomlinson and his mother-in-law were in western Lyiv.
"I do want to point out that like our coworkers are unbelievably awesome [because] the things that they have been doing for a grouchy cynical bastard like myself. People have been helping me out, and somebody who has been obnoxious to them before and will probably be obnoxious to them after," Gutfeld said.
"These guys over there I won’t name them, but you probably know who they are, and you’ve seen them, are absolute heroes helping out a little old lady, you know, they just met. And maybe by tomorrow or in the next day she’s going to be with her daughter and it’s because of those guys that work for Fox News."
[Censor] War in Ukraine
An officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Chernihiv shot down a Russian multi-role fighter of the 4th generation Su-35 (costing 40-65 million US dollars), which probably bombed residential areas of the city the day before and killed 47 civilians.
As Censor.NET reports, " Newsroom " writes about it .
The occupiers' plane was destroyed in the afternoon of March 4 with the help of the Igla-1 MANPADS.
Captain Serhiy Chyzhikov, who previously served in the Western Group of Forces in the GDR and now joins the Armed Forces for the third time (after mobilization in 2014), boasted about the successful launch on the social network.
"He executed the PVZRKKU program. Training shootings of ZSU-23-4, ZU-23, launch of" Strela-10 "and combat launch of Su-35 with MANPADS" Igla-1 ". Thank you for science! Death to the racist occupiers! Glory to Ukraine!" - the air defense specialist declared .
"I shot down! There is confirmation! I hope this is the shit that bombed the city yesterday," he wrote on Facebook at about 2 p.m.
He soon noted that a second confirmation of the downing of a Russian fighter had been received. The pilot was detained in Oleksandrivka.
"We are mocking that the fighter was shot down by a missile in 1985, and this was done by the manager for work with the state segment and utilities of JSC" Ukrposhta ", - Chizhikov told" News "about his work in a peaceful life.
The day before, Sergei Chizhikov emotionally commented on a photo recording the destruction of residential buildings caused by Russian aircraft to his native Chernihiv.

Normally reactor cores take days to cool down from operating temperatures and during that time they need active cooling. So, kinda sorta. The longer the cooldown the less 'messy' things get if they loose power abruptly.

Last I heard, the fire in the admin building was out, the plant was up and running staffed by plant employees and generating power. Meme Alert: the employees are being forced to do what they do every day, but at *GUNPOINT*. So basically, business as usual, with the exception of some heavily armed Russians planting explosives around the workplace.
Chess is a game maneuver and threat. The threat of blowing up a power plant is a good card to hang on to.

^ OK, but on the whole I think the idea of combat assaulting a nuclear power plant deserves a rethink.

OK, wait a minute. Who built that power plant? Ukrainians? Or was it built by the Soviets? I'm thinking not too many nuke plants have been built in recent years, especially by minor players like the Ukrainians.

[REGNUM] Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a missile attack on the headquarters of the Nazi regiment "Azov" (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation), located in Mariupol, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said on March 4 in his Telegram channel.
According to Kadyrov, an internal conflict that arose due to the refusal of the Nazis to obey the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine led to the strike with the Tochka-U operational-tactical missile system.
"The Nazis from the Azov gang (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) completely refused to obey the army leadership and coordinate their actions with it. This led to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on the Bandera headquarters in Mariupol," Kadyrov wrote.
"The forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to pacify the Nazis in the south-west of Mariupol, and with the use of such a weighty argument as the Tochka-U missile system. As a result, 20 worthless lives of Bandera's followers in this world became less," said the head of Chechnya.
Recall that today Mariupol is almost completely blocked by the Russian military and the People's Militia of the DPR.
Militants hold 6,000 foreigners hostage in Ukraine
[REGNUM] More than 6,000 foreign citizens were held hostage in Ukraine: students and other foreigners cannot go home, the Ukrainian authorities do not let them in. This was announced on March 4 by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service reported.
In the course of telephone conversations with the head of the German government, Olaf Scholz , the Russian president expressed a number of arguments in favor of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, since the German interlocutor raised this very issue by calling Moscow.
The President of Russia pointed out that in Ukraine now "more than six thousand foreign citizens, mostly students, have been taken hostage." The militants use these foreigners "as human shields."
"Attempts to leave the areas controlled by the Ukrainian security forces are being suppressed with weapons," the Kremlin said.
"Among the latest egregious facts is the shelling by neo-Nazis of a dormitory of foreign students in the city of Sumy, as a result of which there are wounded.”
The Russian side told Berlin that the West "prefers to ignore" such facts, although they are nothing more than a violation of international humanitarian law. Moscow urged Berlin to influence Kyiv so that the Ukrainian authorities release the people and allow them to safely leave the country.
The journalist noted that he was directly in the combat zone. According to him, shooting from small arms does not stop, with a frequency of 10 minutes, tank shelling begins.
"Volnovakha is a real hell. Shooting from machine guns, machine guns, grenade launchers. This is the usual noise, like cars in Moscow are buzzing and no one pays attention to it, like this, they no longer pay attention to firing from machine guns and machine guns. Tanks fire frequently. Plus hailstones and artillery. The national battalion, which consists of neo-Nazis, is in charge of the situation there. The situation is very difficult," Pegov said.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin
[ColonelCassad] 1. Kyiv. Fighting in Bucha and in the Gostomel area. Fighting is going on west of Kyiv. Gradually, the city is pressed in from the east. Chernihiv is blocked. Negotiations are underway on a humanitarian corridor. Fighting in the north of the city.
2. Kharkov is practically blocked by the RF Armed Forces. MLRS of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively working from the city, striking incl. and residential areas of the city. The RF Armed Forces continue their methodical hunt for infantry and equipment that the enemy hides in the city.
3. Mariupol. The ring around the city is gradually shrinking. The city itself is physically completely blocked. The Nazis are blocking the exit of the population from the city. The deputy commander of Azov reports that the situation is critical and Mariupol is the last obstacle to the creation of a land bridge to the Crimea. He asks for the deblockade of the city.
4. Nikolaev. Fight for the city. Fighting south of the city. An incomprehensible situation with the Kulbakino airfield: it was first stated that the RF Armed Forces had taken it, and then the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to recapture it. From the places they write that it was generally empty. The flagship of the Ukrainian Navy "Hetman Sahaydachny" was flooded by the team on the first day of the operation.
5. Energodar and ZNPP. Control is finally established. Fighting continues at Vasilievka. The Pologi are occupied, which opens up the possibility of a strike on Gulyaipole.
6. Raisins. Serious fights. The troops are approaching Slavyansk and the Izyum-Slavyansk highway. Krasny Liman and Yampol are not far away.
7. Severodonetsk. Fighting near the city, the city itself has not yet entered. The prospects for the formation of the Severodonetsk pocket are growing. Most of the territory of the LPR has already been liberated. It remains to weld in the boiler the last large grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the LPR.
8. Donetsk-Gorlovka. They continued to receive heavy shelling. Destruction and casualties.
9. Volnovakha. The cleanup, according to Pushilin, will take several days. The enemy suffered heavy losses in men and equipment in the Volnovakha area.
10. Transnistria. The Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up a bridge on the border with the republic in order to impede the hypothetical participation of a group of Russian troops in the PMR in the operation to liberate Odessa. No one is still landing amphibious assaults in the Odessa area, although they have been waiting there for a week.
Putin again confirmed today that the operation will continue until the Russian Federation achieves all its goals. There will be no concessions.

From hypersonic to medium-range ballistic missiles, Pyongyang test-fired a string of weaponry in January and last week launched what it claimed was a component of a "reconnaissance satellite" — although Seoul described it as another ballistic missile.
So Pudgy said, so it shall be, reality be damned.
South Korea’s military says it detected a presumed "ballistic missile launched into the East Sea from the Sunan area around 8:48 a.m."
Japan also confirmed the launch. The missile flew "at a maximum altitude of approximately 550 kilometers and a distance of approximately 300 kilometers," Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi says.
He says the "extremely high frequency" of Pyongyang’s weapons tests this year were "a threat to the region... and are absolutely unacceptable."
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A China-backed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has said it will suspend business related to Russia and Belarus in a sign of the two countries' deepening pariah status over the war in Ukraine.
So much for enthusiastic brotherly support.
In a statement issued Thursday, the AIIB said that 'in the best interests of the bank, management has decided that all activities relating to Russia and Belarus are on hold and under review'.
China, whose bilateral relationship with Russia has strengthened in recent years, has thus far avoided criticizing Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. Read the rest at the link
[Townhall] In Friday's briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki struggled to find answers to reporters' questions about the rising cost of gas that's hit a fever pitch since Russia's invasion of Ukraine but has been rising steadily since President Biden took office last January.
"The reason why the price of gas is going up is not because of steps the President has taken," Psaki claimed. "They are because President Putin is invading Ukraine and that is creating a great a deal of instability in the global marketplace."
Psaki continued by saying the White House and Biden administration "are very focused on minimizing the impact to families" caused by rising gas prices. "If you reduce supply in the global marketplace, you are going to raise gas prices, you are going to raise the price of oil," Psaki then added, saying such supply reductions and subsequent cost increases are "something the president is very mindful of and focused on."

When they tell blatant lies like that it destroys the credibility they need to govern. Here we have a major war being fought in Europe and people can't believe anything the government says about it. That's a recipe for a monumental catastrophe.
We get all this hype about freedom for Ukraine and bad, bad Putin and it wears thin. It sounds like all the bullcrap we've heard about all the other wars. I just hope they don't try to get us into the shit this time. I could not support that in the slightest. This was is between Ukraine and Russia. Stay out of it and stop trying to tell me who is right and who is wrong when it's really none of my business or Psaki's either.

I agree don't get involved. On the other hand don't pay billions after billions to Putin for his oil. Oil pollutes the earth you know and allows Putin to fund wars. Without oil revenue he wouldn't be able to feed his army of conscripts.

We can't believe anything our government allows us to hear or read. Photoshopped pictures, bullshit about bombing Babi Yar, lies about how the Russians are bogged down when they're advancing steadily every day
This is just wag the dog for the worst presidential administration in our lifetime

...Many years ago, I had the opportunity to be briefed on the Murmansk Incident. Something we learned then - and I wish there was some other way to phrase this - is that the Russians knew what certain processes and systems were supposed to look like, but in many cases little or no idea how to make them work the way they were supposed to.
We had to assume that all else being equal, their logistics would work every bit as well as ours, which are the gold standard. It's clear now that even with every single advantage on their side, all they know is the hammer.
And if the hammer breaks, they have no idea how to get a new one.

From a purely civilian perspective (mine), the Russian military performance over the last ten days looks like the Three Stooges trying to get out of a telephone booth. Or an elevator.

BTW the American 'pull' system collapsed in Desert Shield and we reverted to 'push'. However, with the massive amount of log, it was overkill. Stuff was piled high at the Saudi airheads.
[Washington Examiner] Finland and Sweden have decided to enhance their "information-sharing" with NATO in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine as they defy Moscow’s demands that the Nordic states keep the trans-Atlantic alliance at arm's length.
"In response to Russia’s aggression, we have decided to strengthen our coordination and information sharing with Finland and Sweden," NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters Friday. "Both countries are now taking part in all NATO consultations about the crisis."
Russia launched a military offensive to overthrow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that the attack was a necessary effort to veto Ukraine’s long-stalled pursuit of full membership in the trans-Atlantic alliance. The United States and other NATO leaders warned Russia that such an assault would backfire by making NATO more attractive to Russia’s neighbors, a phenomenon dramatized by a high-profile visit to Washington by Finnish President Sauli Niinisto.
"An insightful breakfast meeting with CIA Director William Burns, who has a remarkable experience in diplomacy and negotiations with Russia," Niinisto wrote on Twitter, where he posted a photo of himself with the American spy chief.

If Finnish President Sauli Niinisto believes anything that Bill Burns tells him then he might as well go back to those videos in which John McCain makes all his bullshit promises to the Ukrainians. Ukrainians believed the war monger John McCain and look where it's gotten them.

I was born to be a slender sylph with endless energy. Sometimes it doesn’t work out.
[Breitbart] Democratic strategist James Carville said Thursday on MSNBC’s "The Beat" that President Joe Biden was born to be president in this moment of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Melber said, "The State of the Union is the night where people trying to watch other programs are forced to watch a president, and you see an eight-point bump."
Carville said, "I think people were just involved because obviously, the situation in Ukraine. I think a lot of people want this president to succeed. He’s gotten nothing but praise for the way he handled this. I’ve seen remarkable low criticism."
He added, "So I mean, I think he was kind of almost experiencing like he was kind of born to be president at this moment. I hope that’s the case, and I think he’s done a good job so far, I really do."
He added, "The foreign policy stuff, gas prices, and as this recovery is impressive. You know, in 1994, the economy in the United States was actually getting pretty good, and if you recall, we got slaughtered. By 1996, we were running on the economy. So if we just keep up these powerful numbers, it will start affecting the way that people look at it. If you see a lot of upside because they say, ’Well, I’m not satisfied with the country but happy the way I am.’ So that tells you that there’s potential slack in this rope. So far, seeing these job numbers and what we see in the confidence that this president’s displaying — it’s a real crisis, I mean really bad stuff, I worked in Ukraine, many times — it’s encouraging. I think those numbers have really have potential for upside. I hope they do."

In 1993 the incoming Democrats acted like little Tin Gods and quickly made themselves obnoxious -- but Carville is free to (mis-)remember it however he wants to.

This ain't the Ragin' Cajun's usual pithy and quotable eloquence. Which means he's either going senile, or just lying like a rug because he knows this president is a total joke and failure

I'm sure she'll blow everyone outta the water with her keen, in-depth understanding of regional events. Given the lack of recent White House leadership, she may have to swallow some pride.

I don't know why everyone is "dumping" on the Vice President in here; I hope it's not because she is female and definitely because she is black. Pence would be doing the same thing at this point (assuming Trump wouldn't have pulled out of NATO due to the 2% violations he felt some were incurring); she is only projecting the temperament and decision of the President. I fear her decisiveness if she ascends to the 'Big Chair'!
#8
Maybe cause she's a nasty and dumb mediocrity who slandered and tried to bully Judge Kavanaugh? Who now refuses to show up and put in even one day's honest work on the crucial task the president gave her? Also cause she literally slept her way into politics? Just a thought

During her flop of a presidential bid she lied shamelessly about her childhood, claiming she was a po lil' colored girl, and called her current boss a racist for being opposed to busing. She's the whole shit cocktail. A nasty dishonest stupid slut

I’m kinda thinking she will be the ultimate sonic weapon: first time she opens that yap and her trademark kackle-laugh spills out, pooty and his minions will dive for cover. Nothing can withstand that.

Some of us are ashamed of this insult to our European allies, but the bigger the clown shows she produces on the world stage do help seal her fate here as a huge, embarrassing mistake of racial politics writ large!
#18
She is a disgraceful thing. I would love to see her rebuffed or ignored by a European/world leader to send a message on just what a piece of smelly filth she is. Her own people hate her, so how can she command one iota of respect?
#19
I hope it's not because she is female and definitely because she is black.
We adored Condoleeza Rice, who is both as well as brilliant. We dislike Vice President Kamala Devi Harris because she is incompetent, which is achievable by all races and both s3xes.
Kamala is half Tamil Indian and half British Jamaican, not African-American at all. Both her parents came to America as graduate students and stayed, though after the divorce Mama Harris took Kamala and her sister to Montreal. Kamala didn’t come back to the States until college. So like President Obama, her parentage and formative influences were not African-American, which perhaps partly explains why she is generally disliked by that community.
