[Breitbart] On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s "Andrea Mitchell Reports," Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) argued that oil companies are not producing as much as oil as they could to keep the price high and these companies need to increase production to help combat Russia’s energy wealth.
After both Senators called for an embargo on Russian oil, Shaheen said, "I know there’s hardship on the American people and on everybody who is affected by these high gas prices, but the other thing we need to do is we need to call on our CEOs of the major oil companies to stop sitting on production and increase production. They’ve been sitting on the amount of production because they want to keep the price high. Well, the world needs them to respond now as well. They need to do this so that they can support the free world as we’re trying to fight this tyrant who is trying to put — capture the democracies of the world. And so, we need to all stand together here."
Warner responded, "I couldn’t agree more with Jeanne. The energy companies need to step up. The truth of the matter is, the Ukrainian people are voting with their lives, saying they embrace democracy, the values of liberal democracy that sometimes I think we and folks in Europe take for granted. And we all need to step up. Business, obviously policymakers, and clearly the American people are willing. So, we need to see those energy leaders do their part as well."
Riddle me this Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH).
How is it even 50% the Oil Companies' fault?
Since your Liberal Socialist Democrat party has limited drilling, refining, and hamstrung the method of delivery. Plus in less than 6 months of stealing office. Went from being a nation that was EXPORTING OIL & FUELS again, to a nation again IMPORTING VAST AMOUNTS?

The only conclusion is that Biden and the Democrats are Russian agents sent to destroy America and the West

We welcome your comments and you can say all kinds of things here at Rantburg but my understanding is that advocating violence against our fellow Americans usually results in the comment being deleted. Of course, we can talk about offing Russians all we want.

I would add that the problem with a lot of what Democrat senators say is that people who watch MSNBC don't know any better than to believe it. Certainly MSNBC won't tell them otherwise.

Socialists do what Socialists do.
In Nicaragua they raided the finances of PDVSA, the state oil monopoly, for ever expanding streams of money -- then bitterly complained that the oil production kept dropping! The 'Magic Money Tree' will keep producing or it is all the fault of evil Capitalists!

Oil stock prices are up (except for BP, who lost a lot in Russia) about 20% over long-term (5 yr) expectations. Of that, I figure half is inflation (Biden) and half is Ukraine fears.

Get ready for higher prices. In a war zone all naval insurance policies are void. No one is picking up Russian oil from the Black Sea and little from the Baltics. 3.3bb/day are just accumulating. Russia only has 80bbl storage. So if the war goes beyond 70 days and no one is picking up oil, they have to shut down production. The last time they did that it took 30 years to bring back online.
Now granted that was Soviet times after WW2, but it will be years at least before oil is flowing again if they do that.

/\ Yeah, the ugly word is 'metastases'. My dad had a lump on his ear and then it spread everywhere... Hopefully we will hear good news in the near future.

Spousal unit just went for an 'early' (<3 yr) colonoscopy (which is probably not going to be covered by insurance.) Found two large (1.5-2 cm) polyps, with pre-cancerous pathology. Now dealing with post-process complications.
