[National File] Ashley Biden wrote that she shared "probably not appropriate" showers with Joe Biden when she was a small child.
A new court filing from lawyers representing Project Veritas in the federal investigation regarding the alleged theft of Ashley Biden’s diary — published by National File in its entirety last year — reveals new information about how the diary from Joe Biden’s troubled daughter was obtained.
In a new court document, Project Veritas now claims "a tipster" called the media company around September 3, 2020 claiming that "a new occupant moved into a place where Ashley Biden had previously been staying and found Ms. Biden’s diary and other personal items" upon arrival. According to Project Veritas, the "tipster" described the diary as "pretty crazy" and "worth taking a look at."

Ethel Denise Perry, 66, ran a 100-person homeless shelter in the Bronx and on Friday pleaded guilty to tax evasion and theft of millions of dollars
Letitia James, the New York attorney general, said Perry evaded taxes for years and stole more than $2 million to support her luxury lifestyle
Perry's company, Millennium Care, received more than $10 million in funding from the New York City Department of Homeless Services
Between 2013 and 2016, Perry 'used Millennium Care as her own personal piggy bank and illegally took more than $2 million,' James said
Perry spent the money on shopping sprees at Tiffany's, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale's, Ferragamo, Neiman Marcus and Manolo Blahnik
Cash also went on cars, gym membership and other personal expenses, and she hired her brother and nephew to work for the company
Perry's guilty plea comes amid increasing scrutiny of the companies contracted to support the city's homeless population, with nine of the 62 groups that run shelters now on an internal city 'watch list'
Homelessness in New York City has reached the highest levels since the Great Depression of the 1930s, according to the Coalition for the Homeless

How did this not get jail time? We seem to be quickly sinking to third world corruption levels across a wide swath of our public institutions. The infestation of our culture by people who don’t deserve its bounty will end the basic trust that underpins everything. I see it happening all around me in what people now expect and tolerate. A sad reflection on a day devoted to thanksgiving for our exceptional national, the last, best hope of mankind!

[10 News] Remember this freak from this past week?
A university professor in Virginia has announced they'll resign in the wake of threats made over their recently published book.
Allyn Walker, who uses the pronouns they and them, is an assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice at Old Dominion University.
Walker's book includes interviews of more than 40 adults who are sexually attracted to minors.
The book argued that destigmatizing that attraction would allow more people to seek help and ultimately prevent child sexual abuse. At least it wasn't a pop-up book, Amirite?
Professor Walker is the one who introduced us to the destigmatizing term minor-attracted persons for the traditional Latinate p3dophile.
In a statement, Walker said the research was mischaracterized by some in the media and online and in part because of their transgender identity.
The preface to Walker's book says they were not downplaying sexual abuse against children or trying to normalize it.
Walker was put on leave after reaction to the book led to safety concerns on campus.
Walker will remain on leave until their contract expires in May 2022.

Don't fall for it. All that's happening is they're not renewing his contract once it expires. He gets close to six months salary, likely won't be assigned any classes, and he will land at another school.

[RusOnline] It cost Georgia dearly in 2008: Russian intelligence accused Ukraine of preparing for war. Russia again refutes the statements of the West and Kiev about active preparations for an "invasion" of Ukraine. This time, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) made a statement.
In the SVR, reports about the preparation of an "invasion" were called a lie. Moreover, in response to these allegations, intelligence accused Ukraine itself of concentrating its troops on the border with Russia and Belarus.
The SVR bureau report draws a parallel between the current situation in Ukraine and the events in Georgia in August 2008, when Georgian troops launched an offensive against South Ossetia.
"The provocative policy of the United States and the European Union, which deliberately strengthens Kiev's sense of permissiveness and impunity, is of utmost concern. We observed a similar situation in Georgia on the eve of the 2008 events. Then Mikhail Saakashvili "broke off the chain" and tried to destroy the Russian peacekeepers and the civilian population of South Ossetia. It cost him dearly,"the intelligence agency said in a statement.
As previously reported, the US intelligence and media are actively spreading statements about the alleged plans of Russia to attack Ukraine. At the same time, it is reported that the attack is being prepared from three sides at once, and even approximate dates are called. In Russia, they saw this as signs of impending provocations by the Kiev military, saboteurs and neo-Nazi groups. In particular, this was stated on the eve of the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Alexander Grebyonkin, and today the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... will host the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan this week, days after some of the worst fighting between the Caucasus foes since last year’s war over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Kremlin said Tuesday.
Putin will hold talks with Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi on Friday.
The trio will meet on Putin’s initiative, the Kremlin said in a statement.
The Kremlin said the talks are "timed to coincide" with the anniversary of a Russian-mediated ceasefire, signed in November last year, that ended six weeks of fighting over the long-disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The deal saw Armenia cede swathes of territory it had controlled for decades.
The Kremlin said the leaders will discuss "outlining further steps to strengthen stability and establish peace in the region."
Earlier this month, festivities broke out on the shared border between Armenia and Azerbaijan with both sides reporting casualties and blaming each other for the fighting.
Russia stepped in to mediate, with Moscow’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu negotiating a truce.
Later on Tuesday, Pashinyan told an online presser that talks in Sochi should, among other issues, address "Azerbaijan’s behavior."
"Azerbaijan is demonstrating constant aggressive policies towards Armenia. What Azerbaijan is doing is an attack on Armenia," Pashinyan said in a live video on his Facebook page.
Pashinyan, however, confirmed his "readiness" to meet Aliyev on the sidelines of the EU’s Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels on December 15.
"I think that our communication should be more frequent, so we can find ways of solving problems and avoiding crisis situations," Pashinyan said.
He said they will discuss "humanitarian questions," including the exchange of war prisoners, but warned against expecting "fast results."
Pashinyan and Aliyev last met in January in the Russian capital.

[Dhaka Tribune] A North Korea ...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche... n man believed to have illegally brought a copy of "Squid Game" into the country has been sentenced to execution by firing, one of the notable methods by which characters were killed in the Netflix megahit show.
Censors at North Korea's Surveillance Bureau Group 109 caught the smuggler, a student, who has allegedly brought the show from China on his USB flash drive.
After selling several copies to high school students on USD Drive and SD cards, authorities caught him and awarded him the death penalty while six other students were sentenced to five years' hard labor.
"This all started last week when a high school student secretly bought a USB flash drive containing the South Korean drama Squid Game and watched it with one of his best friends in class," a source from North Korean law enforcement told RFA’s Korean Service.
"The friend told several other students, who became interested, and they shared the flash drive with them. Government censors received a tip, and the students were arrested."
The authorities have also expelled the teachers and administrators from the Workers’ Party for negligence, who might be additionally forced into exile to work in remote mines.
In 2020, North Korea passed the key legislation titled "Law on the Elimination of Reactionary Thought and Culture," which can confer death penalty for "watching, owning, or distributing media from capitalist countries such as South Korea and the USA."

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) recently reported that its best estimate of fraudulent unemployment payments totals at least $20 billion. That makes it easily the largest fraud in U.S. history and is more than the entire state budget of about half of U.S. states. None of the money has been reported as recovered...
As the investigation continues, California sits with the highest unemployment rate in the country at 7.5 percent....

Quoting from the article.
"...the federal government got involved in unemployment, adding $600 per week to state benefits which normally total only about $300 per week. This increased temptation, with $900 per week ..., the equivalent of full-time employment at $22.50 per hour." $46,800.00 more than many people collect on Social Security or made actually working.
So is it really a surprise that about 10% were abused the lax situation? Or did Calif. and the Federal Liberals setup a lax scheme, knowing it would be abused and there could be political benefits from it?
I also wonder how many became indirectly paid traveling Protesters for the Socialcrats?
Yes, yes. They all want to merge to form a European military, thinking that will mean someone else spends the money and the blood, while they preen and pose in their fancy new uniforms.
[TheDrive] The chief of the Italian Air Force has predicted the merger of Western Europe’s two leading next-generation combat aircraft programs since he doesn’t think there are enough resources to sustain them both. The two competing programs are the British-led Tempest, a mock-up of which is seen in the image below, and which involves Italy, and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) pursued by France, Germany, and Spain.
Ah. He doesn’t mean merge, he means pick one project and cancel the other. Naturally he assumes the one picked will be the one Italy prefers, as opposed to the one preferred by those who always win by dint of having the largest economies and populations.
"It is natural that these two realities will merge into one," General Luca Goretti, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, told members of the country’s parliamentary defense committees today, according to a report from Reuters. "Investing huge financial resources in two equivalent programs is unthinkable." This is by no means the first time that calls have been made to bring the two initiatives together, even just in Italy, reflecting the limited pool of partners available.
Currently, BAE Systems is heading up the Tempest program, which aims to field a sixth-generation “system of systems” air combat capability, with a new stealthy six-generation fighter as its centerpiece. Team Tempest also includes Italian defense contractor Leonardo, European missile consortium MBDA, British engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce, and the British Royal Air Force (RAF), as well as numerous other high-tech companies. Sweden is also on board as an international partner, with Japan potentially waiting in the wings.
Meanwhile, FCAS is being led by Dassault Aviation of France, with Airbus of Germany in a supporting role. This effort also includes plans for a stealth fighter jet, or Next Generation Fighter (NGF), together with various unmanned systems and air-launched weapons. While the French and Germans are leading the FCAS effort, the Spanish Ministry of Defense has also joined the partnership.
Both programs aim to have the manned fighter component of the planned system of systems in service sometime between 2030 and 2040.
According to the same Reuters report, Goretti told officials that Italy made the decision to join the Tempest program “because it felt it could play a bigger role [in it] than in the FCAS program.” That could well reflect the perceived dominance of Dassault and Airbus in FCAS, as well as the fact that Leonardo already has strong ties with the United Kingdom on the industrial side, including leading radar development for the Eurofighter Typhoon in its U.K. facility. The Eurofighter consortium also includes BAE Systems and Airbus.
However, Goretti also made the case for Italy serving as “a bridge” between NATO and Western European nations that are increasingly looking toward options for collaboration on the continent, rather than necessarily under the Alliance’s auspices.
Goretti’s argument for the eventual fusion of Tempest and FCAS is explained by the fact both are still in their “conceptual phase,” with different countries still defining their requirements. With that in mind, Goretti considers the reverse of the Eurofighter program might be possible — back in the early 1980s, France split off from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain to build the rival Dassault Rafale instead.
Another European air chief, Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz of the German Luftwaffe, previously made efforts to bring the two rival programs together, by speaking with his Italian and British counterparts. “It can be that we go on different tracks,” Gerhartz told Defense News earlier this year. “Hopefully we will merge eventually.”
Key industry figures involved with Tempest have been lukewarm on the idea of a merger with FCAS. At the same time, Dirk Hoke, the former CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, had previously argued that Europe “can’t afford two new systems.” Hoke's statement may well be true, with genuine concerns persisting over whether European powers will actually be able to pay for two competing stealth jet programs. [Daily Wire] The Catholic University of America, which refers to itself as the pontifical university of the Catholic Church in the United States, reportedly boasts paintings in its campus ministry office and outside the chapel at its law school which imitate Michelangelo’s immortal Pieta with one key difference: George Floyd is depicted as Jesus Christ.
The Pieta shows Jesus Christ being held by his mother Mary after his crucifixion. The Catholic University of America informed The Daily Signal that artist Kelly Latimore’s painting "Mama" shows "the Virgin Mary supporting the body of the dead Christ" but did not acknowledge the Christ in the painting was George Floyd.
Yet The Daily Signal photographed a description posted with the painting asserting, "Following the violent death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, Latimore created this icon in June of that year." And in an interview with The Christian Century in April, Latimore acknowledged, "It was commissioned by my partner Evie Schoenherr as a way to mourn George Floyd," adding, "The common question that people asked was, ’Is it George Floyd or Jesus?’ The fact they’re asking that question is part of the problem. My answer was yes. This nonanswer frustrated the hell out of a lot of people."
Karna Lozoya, vice president for university communications, told The Daily Signal, "You can identify Jesus by the marks in the halo."

[NavalNews] Ballistic Missile Submarines (SSBNs) form the backbone of nuclear deterrents. Yet the types in service with NATO navies, the U.S., U.K., and France, are reaching the ends of their service lives. The new submarines which are being built to succeed them should keep the deterrent dependable in an uncertain future.
While Russia is already pumping out its latest Borei-II class ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs), the equivalent boats in service with the US Navy and Royal Navy are towards the end of their lives. And France’s too, while more recent, will also need replacement in the coming years. So Western navies are already working on the replacements.

With the improvements in MIRV control, the tube counts became less important. The biggest hurdle to retention of quality personel has been livability which has been pretty good of late, but is likely needing to be better over the lifespan of the new boats.
The 'silencing' of the boats has reached the point where Brit and French boats have run into each other while on patrol, and didn't even realize it until later. (They compared notes afterward and went "oops, that was us".)

As a person who has spent 4 yrs underwater, on 598 class boats, I salute these guys. A Navy study, in the 60s, indicated that after subs went into refueling 90% of the crew were married! After two patrol cycles only 5% were still married. After being gone for three months, some people would come back and want to be the “man” of the house, which caused all sorts of problems. If a member was not liked, he requested to leave the submarine service after patrol. One statement that might be used to make him unhappy, was “you’ll find your wife just like you left her, freshly f..ed”

After being gone for three months, some people would come back and want to be the “man” of the house, which caused all sorts of problems.
A problem for anyone gone for more than a few days at a time. Mr. Wife eventually figured it out how to deal with the transition after the year he alternated the Middle East and home every two weeks. Also, while I was the family bookkeeper, I learnt it was important that he balanced the checkbook, which reminded him that while the company had him on a generous expense account when he travelled, at home our family finances had fewer zeroes before the decimal point.
[Dhaka Tribune] Myanmar's military has arrested 18 medics for providing treatment to patients who were members of "terrorist organizations," a state-run newspaper said on Wednesday, referring to outlawed anti-junta groups.
Troops made the arrests during a raid on Monday on a church in Loikaw in eastern Kayah state, where they discovered 48 patients who were receiving treatment, seven suffering from Covid-19.
"It was learned that unofficial medical treatment was being provided to the injured persons and patients from the terrorist organizations," said the Global New Light of Myanmar, the junta's mouthpiece.
The report did not name the organizations. It said the 18 medics arrested would be dealt with according to the law.
Myanmar's healthcare system has been closed to collapse since the army overthrew an elected government in a February 1 coup.
Many medical workers joined a civil disobedience movement and have refused to work in military-run hospitals in protest at the junta's rule.
Many healthcare facilities and workers have been targeted by security forces, according to human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... groups. The military has appealed to doctors to return to work.
Some of the four doctors, four nurses and 10 nursing aides arrested at the church had previously been charged with incitement over their refusal to work, the report said.
Close to 1,300 civilians have been killed and more than 10,000 arrested since the coup, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), which has been tracking post-coup events in Myanmar.
The military has dismissed the AAPP's data, which has been cited by the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... , and accuses it of bias. A junta front man last week said 200 soldiers have been killed during the conflict.
