[PsychologyToday] People with left-wing economic views are more prone to more anxiety disorders.
Claims that conservatives are higher in threat sensitivity are challenged by findings from a large long-term survey in Britain.People with left-wing economic political views had higher rates of anxiety disorder symptoms.
People with liberal economic views tend to be higher in neuroticism and lower in conscientiousness than their conservative counterparts.
The relationship between threat sensitivity and political ideology may be more complex than previously thought.

Yeah, if you're a neurotic moron it's only natural that you would want the government, or anyone for that matter, to come to your rescue. And, since you're a moron, you would be less cognizant of the government's tendency to screw things up.

They've reversed causation here.
Left wing economic views are an anxiety disorder.

[Guardian] Armed with only a solar charger, a vibrator and some marijuana gummy bears, I rode out the pandemic – and my fear of spiders – in a California commune
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
Text is from a speech by Anatoly Koshkin delivered September 30th at a conference on Russian military history in Moskva
[REGNUM] In Western historiography, and often in the writings of Russian "overthrowers of the historical concepts of the totalitarian period," it is common to say that the success of the counteroffensive near Moscow "the Stalinist regime owes Japan." Which, allegedly, honestly fulfilling the obligations under the Soviet-Japanese pact of neutrality, made it possible at a critical moment to transfer the Siberian and Far Eastern divisions to the Soviet-German front, which ensured the victory.
This version is widespread in Japan itself. The Japanese authors of the book Milestones on the Way to the Conclusion of a Peace Treaty between Japan and Russia, published in Russian, write: "... Having transferred his troops from the Far East and from Siberia to the west, I. Stalin was able to fight the German army with full dedication, and Japan, for its part, was able to send the elite troops of the Kwantung Army to the south."
[Rutherford Institute] It's no longer a question of whether the government will lock up Americans for defying its mandates but when.
This is what we know: the government has the means, the muscle and the motivation to detain individuals who resist its orders and do not comply with its mandates in a vast array of prisons, detention centers, and FEMA concentration camps paid for with taxpayer dollars.
It's just a matter of time.
It no longer matters what the hot-button issue might be (vaccine mandates, immigration, gun rights, abortion, same-sex marriage, healthcare, criticizing the government, protesting election results, etc.) or which party is wielding its power like a hammer.
The groundwork has already been laid.
Under the indefinite detention provision of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the President and the military can detain and imprison American citizens with no access to friends, family or the courts if the government believes them to be a terrorist.
So it should come as no surprise that merely criticizing the government or objecting to a COVID-19 vaccine could get you labeled as a terrorist.
After all, it doesn't take much to be considered a terrorist anymore, especially given that the government likes to use the words "anti-government," "extremist" and "terrorist" interchangeably.
For instance, the Department of Homeland Security broadly defines extremists as individuals, military veterans and groups "that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely."
Military veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan may also be characterized as extremists and potential domestic terrorist threats by the government because they may be "disgruntled, disillusioned or suffering from the psychological effects of war."

I'm ready for it. I want it. I want the "Why I should stop fearing and learn to love the Australia model." Couple paragraphs, maybe an Allahpundit link, some solid binary world think.
I'll be out in the yard, sipping tea, looking south at Oklahoma.

Of all the things there are to worry about, detention camps seems to me to be at the bottom of the list, which I suspect is the point g(r)omgoru was attempting to make. Covid vaccine resistors are 30-40% of the population, and half or more (if you include the unlicensed handguns owned by inner city Blacks) have guns. It should be noted that while the West Coast Japanese were indeed rounded up during World War II, nobody even tried to do the same with the German-American population, though there was a similar threat of spies and saboteurs.

#11 which I suspect is the point g(r)omgoru was attempting to make
More likely points that nut's trying to make include
... "(R)antburg is all about me"
... "COVID is my revenge on MBAs"
... "The(r)e is no G-d but COVID, and I am His prophet"

Entire communities forced into house arrest under penalty of law is kind of suspicious, I'd say. Sure the wall are electronic, you can play Fruit Ninja on your tracking device, surrounded by undercover snitches, and enduring random cell, err, house inspections may not have the allure of a Camp Amachi. Unless, that is, that community is one which has attracted the attention of what is politely called The Van Life, and vehicles have permanently parked up and down your road, using your mailbox as an piss point.
This is now, in real time.
Round ups? What happens in Australia if you don't put down your game of Angry Birds when summoned, take a picture of yourself with a distinct background, and send that pic with a geo locator in time? And buddy, you better not forget that locator somewhere because the lack of activity will generate a ping.

Honestly, I'm getting sick of how many people on the right have become knee-jerk ignoramouses. You don't like something grom said in the past, so now you just vomit bile in reaction to everything he says?
You're as bad as the left. Your minds are closed and choked with hatred, and I doubt you can articulate why, or what grom did to deserve it. You've just decided he's an "other" because Bad Think.
Except he's on our side. He's not one of the enemies of civilization. Does he agree with you on everything? No, but that's never been a requirement here.
Rantburg still has lots of value to it, but it's rapidly disappearing behind a cloud of crap like this article and the hatred for the least different opinion on COVID.

Remember the CDC & DHS have had a written plan of action for detentions facilities for close to 15 years.
Some might remember a recent comment listing the URL for the original CDC Containment Plan written prior to the H5N1, avian influenza outbreak.
QUOTING PART OF THE CDC PLAN Camp/Sector Level:
A group of shelters such as schools, community buildings within a camp/sector (max 50 high-risk individuals per single green zone) where high-risk individuals are physically isolated together. One entry point is used for exchange of food, supplies, etc. A meeting area is used for residents and visitors to interact while practicing physical distancing (2 meters). No movement into or outside the green zone

And the DOD has plans to invade Canada, NN2N1, along with all the rest of our allies and enemies.
I have to wonder how much avian flu plan was updated from all the plans developed during the Cold War, or if they just took the old plan and replace the name of the disease.

Rob, he repeats all of Fauci's lies about cheap treatments out of one side of his mouth and talks about making those who dissent _pay_ out of the other side of his mouth. If all our civilization can do is create these motherfucking viruses and use them to screw people over (or at least the survivors over) what good is it?

You don't like something grom said in the past...
Which one? Because I can go back to being lectured on how businesses operate.
Or, the highest form of Individualism is doing exactly what Government tells you to do.
Or, the sum of the 'Anti-Vaxxer' slurs. I can waive my arm at all points of the compass and tell a story at each waypoint about those who received the sharp end of the saber. Just like every location in the world.
And history is rife with the holes of various cultures who just rolled over and ended up on sacrificial altars.
Not interested, especially when branded as someone who just doesn't understand that my problem is I don't know how to chew ass and kick bubblegum.
Like an invasive rhizome, this idea, this narrative, cannot allowed to take root.
If preventing, what was called Happy Camps Every Adult Should Attend, comes across as a Knee-Jerk....Good. We agree. Squash it now.
NBA player: I'm young, in shape, apex athlete, had the Covid, and am not interested in what I consider, in my circumstances, an unnecessary medical procedure.
NBA now: Yeah, mandatory shots, or fines and benching.
Bucking Fullshit. Ignorant? This whole experiment of over-correcting on a dirt road contributes to the next wheel-jerk.
[Babylon Bee] In a move to make purchasing congresspeople easier and faster for lobbyists, Congress voted to approve a new measure that calls for congresspeople to wear barcodes on their foreheads so lobbyists, activists, and corporations can simply scan them and self-checkout.
Self-checkout machines will be installed at all exits of the Capitol Building, so once they've added congresspeople to their cart, lobbyists can pay right on the way out.
"Purchasing congresspeople used to be a time-consuming, expensive process," said a Planned Parenthood representative. "Now, we can simply walk through Congress, scan all the congresspeople that are for sale, and checkout without having to interact with any humans."
"We hate humans---like, a lot," the PP rep added.
One major military-industrial complex lobby group, Americans For Bigger Bombs, said they are also in support of the new move.
"When you need to make a quick pit stop at our nation's legislative body to purchase a few congresspeople to start a new war, you need to do it fast," said one AFBB lawyer. "An attack on Iran can't wait while you wheel and deal, wine and dine, and negotiate endlessly. Now, I can just scan and go."

I have observed vaccine adverse events following the administration of EUA vaccines, and followed the success of Soldiers who obtained various Covid 19 therapies outside the military. The majority of the service members within the DOD population are young and in good physical condition. Military aviators are a subset of the military population that has to meet the most stringent medical standards to be on flight status. The population of student pilots I take care of are primarily in their 20s-30s, males and in excellent physical condition. The risk of serious illness or death in this population from SARs-CoV-2 is minimal, with a survival rate of 99.997%.

'A survival rate of 99.997%.' Now the CDC's study of blood donors revealed that twice as many people as originally thought had contracted the virus. In what world doesn't that decimal point move to the left?
