[FoxNews] Charlie Watts, best known as the prolific drummer for the rock band the Rolling Stones for more than half a century, has died. He was 80.
A representative for Watts told Fox News Tuesday that the musician "passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family."
[GatewayPundit] In March 2020, Dr. Tony Fauci urged the President of the United States to lock down the entire US economy for two weeks to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Of course, the two weeks turned into several months. And even more devastating, was that several developing countries followed Dr. Fauci’s lead and also locked down their struggling economies.
In June 2020, Dr. Tony Fauci defended his economic lockdowns saying, “When you give advice about what should you be doing — People get confused. And they say, ‘Wow, you know, we shut down and we caused a great disruption in society. We caused great economic pain, loss of jobs… The fact that we shut down when we did and the rest of the world did, has saved hundreds of millions of infections and millions of lives.”
But now we know that Fauci’s lockdowns actually killed 267,000 infants in low and middle-income countries.
The Daily Mail reported:
Hundreds of thousands of babies died last year due to the economic fallout from COVID-19, a new modeling study suggests.
Researchers from World Bank Group, a financial institution headquartered in Washington, DC, estimated that an extra 267,000 infant fatalities were reported n 2020 in low- and middle-income countries.
This is seven percent higher than the number of newborns that usually die in the course of a year.
Past studies have examined indirect deaths caused by COVID-19, meaning not from the virus itself.
For example, one study found 75,000 Americans died indirectly due the pandemic such as delaying seeking life-saving medical care.
And preliminary figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest that a record 93,000 people die from drug overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2020 due to the proliferation of fentanyl and the stress of the pandemic.
The Daily Mail article goes on to point out that the babies died of malnutrition and lack of access to healthcare rather than COVID itself, primarily in India.

[FoxNews] A group of 75 South Florida doctors staged a symbolic walkout on Monday to highlight a surge in unvaccinated COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the state, according to a report.
The doctors who participated in the demonstration in Palm Beach Gardens cited fatigue and frustration with misinformation that has contributed to vaccine hesitancy in the state. Some of the doctors briefly walked out of their shifts to participate in the protest.

How many of those doctors were vaxxed? Asking for a friend who was impressed by Nancy party where all the 'servants' were masked but the participants weren't.

Maybe Nancy's "servants" were worried about catching COVID. Or maybe rabies.

We were liars in love and we danced
Swept away for a moment by chance
And we danced and danced, danced.
South Fl Doctors went outside the hospital in a symbolic act to urge people to get vaxxed.
It was not a protest but yes, people who are un-vaxxed are being infected, hospitalized, killed, at a much higher rate than people who are vaxxed.

Maybe if the hospitals didn't fire their unvaxinated staff they'd have someone willing to work on unvaxinated patients without compromising their own integrity.

[TASS] A new modification of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle furnished with the Berezhok combat module will be demonstrated at the Army 2021 international military-technical forum for the first time, the press office of the Precision Weapons Company (within the state tech corporation Rostec) told TASS on Monday.
"The BMP-3 vehicle with the Berezhok combat module developed by the Shipunov Instrument-Making Design Bureau (part of the Precision Weapons Company within Rostec) will be featured at the Army 2021 forum," the press office said.
Work continues to upgrade the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, which envisages mounting new armaments on this hardware, the press office said.
"The configuration of BMP-3s will change completely when new combat modules are installed. There are also plans to install other armaments that fit for the dimensional and weight characteristics of the chassis of the BMP-3, which must, undoubtedly, remain an amphibious vehicle," the press office added.
Currently, the Russian troops are receiving BMP-2M combat vehicles outfitted with the Berezhok module.
The BMP-3 is one of the basic types of the armor in the Russian Army and the world’s most popular infantry fighting vehicle.
Looks like they chucked the 100mm cannon earlier models had.
[TASS] The Kalashnikov Group has produced the first batch of cutting-edge small-size AM-17 submachine guns for airmen and crews of combat vehicles, the company’s press service told TASS at the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2021.
"The batch of [AM-17] prototypes has already been produced. We plan to initiate state trials by the end of the year. Preliminary tests are expected to take place soon. Customers are showing interest in the AM-17 — a compact and lightweight submachine gun that can be used in closed spaces," Kalashnikov said.
The AM-17 was initially developed for 5.45x39 mm munitions. "Submachine guns are under development concurrently for 7.62x39 mm and 5.56x45 mm cartridges," the press service added.
The International Military-Technical Forum Army-2021 is being held from August 22 to 28 in Kubinka, the Moscow Region. To see a photo of the prototype, click on the link in the title

He was not swearing. The "swear" word in context was clean speech that meant that a person should be relegated to a form of ultimate doom. To "swear" is to simply use the word as an outburst of frustration. Many churches actually use that word during sermons to describe what happens to non-believers but and is not considered a swear word but a verb describing a final form of judgement from God.

[FOX11] - Los Angeles County reported 2,781 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 additional deaths Sunday, though health officials said the case numbers and deaths may reflect delays in weekend reporting.
...As of Aug. 7, unvaccinated adults between 18 and 49 years old were 25 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than vaccinated adults of the same age. It's not as simple to measure the number of times more likely this unvaccinated demographic is to die from the disease because there have been "virtually no deaths in vaccinated members of this age group," according to Public Health officials. When you lost FOX, what's left?
All ECMO-bound COVID patients in Israel below age of 60, data shows
[YNet] - Israeli ECMO Association says all unvaccinated patients who were on ECMO since start of 4th wave passed away, while older people, some with underlying health conditions, survived because they were fully vaccinated So, if I adopted the debating mannerisms of Ranburg's anti-vaxxer squatters, I would be compelled to say something along the lines "Anti-vaxxer influencers are murdering people". Fortunately, I know better. In any case, I'm willing to leave the work to tort lawyers who, I'm sure, are talking to the bereaved families right now.
p.s. Lets do an informal census. How many of 'burg regulars are vaccinated with mRNA, and how many had serious side effects?
Israeli anti-vaxxers submit ethics complaint to ICC - report
[JPost] - Anshei Emet (People of Truth), a group against coronavirus vaccination, filed a suit against the Israeli government with the International Criminal Court (ICC) earlier this month, arguing that Israel’s administration of the coronavirus vaccine and policies to encourage vaccination are considered "crimes against humanity" according to the Nuremberg Code. Our monkeys always imitate American monkeys.
...Despite the suit’s claims of severe side effects, death and injuries allegedly related to the vaccine, Health Ministry data released amid the vaccination campaign showed that only about 0.25% of Israelis who received the vaccination experienced any side effects, and that the vast majority of these reported side effects were light and temporary, including general weakness and headaches, dizziness, feeling faint, muscle pain, fever, joint pain, nausea, stomach pain, chills, throat pain, coughs and runny noses. But, in USA, hundred of thousands die - to believe our resident anti-vaxxers. It must be the diet.

"How many of 'burg regulars are vaccinated with mRNA, and how many had serious side effects?"
I'll go first: Pfizer/Biontech (Comirnaty), 2 times.
Side effects: Arm muscle a bit pressure sensitive for a few hours, a few warm flushes for a few hours, a bit tired the next day. I wouldn't even call this "side effects". The second jab had even milder side effects that vanished a few hours later.
I got back to work one hour after both vaccinations.

We're both seniors and went ahead and got the Maderna. No side effects, back to afternoon naps the next day. Our extended family came down with the damn COVID and it was pretty rough. They HAD been vax'd and got a light case, which put them out of action and quarantined for 2+ weeks.
We were hold outs. My major concern are the unknown the long-term effects, which at our age really doesn't mean much. The huge gov't push was my other concern. That needs little further explanation. I've spent too much time around Washington to trust those greedy, self-serving bastids for anything.

J&J, no side effects that I noticed. Out of caution I took an extra low dose aspirin every day for a month as a guard against clots. Full disclosure, I never have tested positive for COVID at any time before or since being vaccinated.

I got the AstraZeneca thingy. I don't think the mRna ones had come out yet. Slight pain in arm, legs in night. Went on my run the next day as usual. Oh... have had the odd urge for rhyming snark since then. And pizza for some reason. Maybe that's a side effect.

Pfizer. Some heat at the injection site for several days, both times. Not much other reaction, similar to a flu shot. However, my lifts were off by 10% until several weeks after the second injection. I'm 80.

Both of us got the Moderna, Mrs. Ret slight arm tenderness right arm @2nd shot; otherwise nothing. Anticipated incapacitation following 2nd shot per news scare so batches of lasagna prepared. Somewhat disappointed that no SIQ time followed.

J&J for both wife and me. She had slight tenderness at the jab site for the evening. I had nothing. (I am already on a baby aspiring regimin.) She had been repeatedly and closely exposed (pre-vax) to people with covid but apparently never caught it. I was exposed (pre-vax) too and probably did get a mild case (based on timing and symptoms, not tests.) As Besoeker said, I'm old enough to not be too concerned about potential long-term negative effects of the vaccines, but I do distrust the government...

Pfizer/Biontech 2x for Mr. Wife, me, trailing daughter #1, final daughter, and my 95-year old mother. td#2 and her husband were vaccinated as soon as it was available to them, though they both probably had Covid in 2020 — td#2 was pretty sick at the time. My two siblings and my sister-in-law, Mr. Wife’s sister, her husband, their adult daughters and their husbands all vaccinated. I seem to recall that the niece who is a nurse-practitioner on a Covid ward caught it at one point, but recovered pretty quickly — and then got vaccinated when that became available. Typical mild side effects in the first two days after the vaccination all around.
We have concerns about final daughter, who was diagnosed this year as immunocompromised and has been getting generalized immunoglobulin infusions in an attempt to boost her immune response — they let her get the Covid vaccine though they were pretty sure it wouldn’t do much for her. So Mr. Wife plans to get the booster shot to add an extra layer of protection so that he doesn’t bring illness into the house. I figure I’ll wait — I don’t go out into the world nearly as much as he does, so the odds I’ll be exposed to anything are much lower. And I have no idea whether my mother plans to get the booster when it comes out.
In Mr. Wife’s extended family we’ve lost a few relatives to Covid, and had a scare a few months ago when the youngest nephew, age 2, was diagnosed with it — but after a miserable few hours he was as bouncy as ever. We have friends who have needed hospitalization, at least one who survived being on a ventilator... and one dear friend who was only moderately ill months ago, but is very unhappy to be still dealing with reduced energy and brain fog. And friends’ friends & relatives who have gotten terribly ill or died.
My darling father- and mother-in-law have refused the vaccine, so we are all very careful to stay away from them when anyone is ill or has been exposed.
I respect everyone’s choice, but I am tired of the flame wars which serve only to harden opinions.

I got the Moderna and had no problems, in fact I got tired of having to sit for 15 minutes afterwards so left early. My daughter got Moderna and she didn't have any problems either. I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know what vaccine my son and family all got back in Virginia except for my daughter in law who didn't receive the vaccine since she was pregnant. They all came down with COVID feeling miserable for a week then were all fine, so their added natural immunity is reassuring. My Kaiser Dr recommends that I get the booster, I'll probably get it since any long term problems at my age are irrelevant

Got AstraZeneca-Oxford. Felt nothing different that day. However, jab site was sore and I had a mild headache and body pain the next day. No fever though. But the effects were mild enough that I didn't feel the need to take a leave from work. Everything back to normal the next day.

Your stunning lack of awareness amazes me. Try this on for size:
1. You have wished financial ruin upon the unmasked and unvaxed.
2. You have wished death upon the unmasked and unvaxed.
3. You are joyous when notable non-vaxers perish.
4. You whine to TW and the mods.
I'm not speaking for Raj. I'm sure he will put it more eloquently.
As for the rest of you vaxers. I wish you the best of luck. I hope the vaccines work as well as promised. Many of my close family are vaxed and I want them (and all) to be well. For now the vax is not for me.

You'll react to people trying to tell the truth about the fraud surrounding potential treatments of the virus as if they're going to try to filter the vaccine out of your blood.

Moderna x 2. Also had COVID-19 very early on, ~November 2019. It was hard to shake. No real side effects from vaxes. I am 72 with badly damaged lungs (not a smoker) and usually get pneumonia once a year, but not this year or last.
