Surveillance video obtained by DailyMail.com shows Queens resident Miguel Solorzana, 50, standing at an ATM when the assailant sneaks up behind him
Garcia allegedly slashed Solorzano multiple times before fleeing
He suffered three slash wounds to his head, police said, and another slash wound to his right leg
He was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he underwent two surgeries and remains in stable condition
Police said Garcia remained in custody undergoing psychiatric evaluation at Bellevue as of Wednesday afternoon
A close relative, who asked not to be named, said Garcia had previously served in the Army, and was not the same after his return from deployment to Iraq
He was arrested in Chelsea on Tuesday evening, and is also wanted by the Yonkers Police Department

He's in the same boat as the airport security officers at Boston on 9/11. It was an easy job as to be called Retired on Active Duty, just doing your time. No seriousness beyond when's the next coffee break. More ceremonial than functional. Then one day, the fundamental reason the position existed came home. That's when you discovered he were wanting. The people who assigned you to the job also considered it the same. They too were wanting.
Fortunately, today, you have lots of company. The senior members of our military join you in failing at their fundamental jobs. A very large ROADie community.

[USAToday] WASHINGTON (AP) — Longtime American foreign correspondent Joseph L. Galloway, best known for his book recounting a pivotal battle in the Vietnam War that was made into a Hollywood movie, has died. He was 79.
A native of Refugio, Texas, Galloway spent 22 years as a war correspondent and bureau chief for United Press International, including serving four tours in Vietnam. He then worked for U.S. News & World Report magazine and Knight Ridder newspapers in a series of overseas roles, including reporting from the Persian Gulf War in 1991.
Galloway died Wednesday morning, his wife Grace Galloway told AP, after being hospitalized near their home in Concord, North Carolina. He is also survived by two sons and a step daughter.
"He was the kindest, most gentle and loving man," Grace Galloway said. "He loved the boys and girls of the U.S. military. He loved his country."

I was privileged to have met him and heard him speak at Hal Moore's memorial at Fort Benning a few years back. He loved soldiers. Sadly, we'll probably never see another like him.

I was privileged to spend about an hour on a hilltop at Stony Valley, Fort Hunter-Liggett with LTG Moore and several other Company Commanders and listen to him talk about unit tactics, leadership and how terrain defines how to site battle positions and plan for actions after contact. One of the most impactful insights into real leadership I ever had.
"We're working with the Taliban" and "Trumpsters are literally Taliban" isn't cutting it. In fact it is actually turning people in to how bad Afghan Bail has been.

Your credentials, including your SSN, go for about $5 on the darkweb. It's not like they don't already have this information for 20 other sources.
Still, it would be nice if someone somewhere started taking security seriously. If not, then companies should not be permitted to store my credentials at all.
