Of the 5,426 violent crimes recorded in Minneapolis last year, 83 of them were homicides, according to the city's police crime statistic data
It is only the second highest number of homicides since 1995 when a record 97 homicides were recorded
That record 1995 figure resulted in the city being branded 'Murderapolis' by national media
Violent crime was already trending upward in the first half of 2020 but really spiked after Floyd was killed by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin
Crime rates this year are already surging with 1,398 violent crimes reported
Twenty four of the violent crimes in the first four months of this year have been homicides
Last week, there were 107 violent crimes reported across the city, which is up from the 60 that occurred in the same week in 2020
Police in Minneapolis are already predicting a return to 'Murderapolis' this year

Stupidest and most corrupt political class we've had in 120 years.
Unbelievable how much damage these clowns and carpetbaggers have wrought over three decades.
They were given the greatest piece of good luck any modern nation's ever received: the peaceful surrender and collapse of its global enemy, a nuclear armed superpower, and our elites have botched every single major foreign policy undertaking - every one! -- since 1993.
They were given the most powerful and wealthiest middle class the world's ever seen, and they have run it into the ground, pushing millions into poverty, flooding the nation with 20 million imported helots, and cratering millions of families' savings not once but twice now in 12 years.
During this time they deliberately built up China from a shitty third world backwater into a mortal rival -- not just military but also economic, one that unleashed a global pandemic and lied about it.
They have made our K-12 educational system into a laughing stock. They are destroying our great universities.
They have given us a joke of a press corps, one that rivals Goebbels for the sheer number of Big Lies and propaganda they put out each day.,
They have made a farce of our electoral system.
They have just convicted a man in a Stalinesque show trial that did the old Bolshevik one better: the wicked defendant was convicted of both the unintentional and the deliberate killing of one man ... got that? Of accidentally AND deliberately killing!
They are destroying rule of law.
They are deliberately stoking a race war.
These people are criminals. They are destroying this nation.

[FOXNEWS] A Texas Democratic official is facing calls to step down from his role after he called Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., a racial slur.
"I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles," Lamar County Democratic Party chair Gary O'Connor wrote in a now-deleted Facebook post, referring to Scott's rebuttal to President Joe Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... 's Congressional address on Wednesday.
Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas -- whose district includes Lamar County located in Northeast Texas -- eviscerated O'Connor for his comment on Friday. In a blurb, Fallon called the slur — which refers to a Black person who is perceived as acting White — "unforgivable."
"Gary O'Connor's comment against Senator Tim Scott is abhorrent, insulting, and unforgivable. Both he and the entire Lamar County Democratic Party should be ashamed of this racist behavior," said Fallon.
The first-term congressman called on O'Connor to "apologize and step down immediately" for his racially charged comments slur and asked the Texas Democratic Party and the NAACP "to condemn these words."
Fallon also said the party "should take swift action to censure him."
The Texas Democratic Party didn't immediately return Fox News' request for comment.
"This kind of behavior is not tolerable in Texas, the United States, or any political party," Fallon added.

[NYPOST] New York’s problems — and especially New York City’s problems — documented at great length in these pages, are also in great part the result of misgovernance, a product of the stupidity, arrogance, and incompetence of Andrew Sonny Cuomo and Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... , among others. New York City does not have the Socialist paradise of San Francisco ...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964... ’s housing problem, but that is because rents and prices are declining as the population dwindles. New York City was losing 376 people a day before COVID-19, according to Bloomberg, and the Postal Service estimates that more than 100,000 New Yorkers relocated elsewhere between February and July of 2020.
But there’s more in play than high taxes and high rents. The increasingly stifling and conformist "woke" political culture of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, and New York have made them less attractive to many of the kind of people who have the money and the freedom to pack up and move to Texas or Florida. And the two states’ overbearing response to the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... epidemic — which, incredibly enough, managed to be both heavy-handed and ineffective at the same time — poured gasoline on a fire that already was smoldering.
There was a time when an investment firm had to have a Manhattan office and a technology company had to be in Silicon Valley, but those days are gone, as Palm Beach and Austin can attest. Where the money and the jobs go, the people will go.
And where the people go, political power follows.

Saturday’s special election in the state’s 6th Congressional District is a bipartisan, 23-candidate scrum — with the shadow of President Trump looming over Republicans and Democrats alike.
Trump this week waded into the race to replace Republican Rep. Ron Wright — who died of coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... complications in February at age 67 — with a full-throated endorsement of Susan Wright, the congressman’s widow.
Texans, Trump said in a tele-town hall Thursday night, "need [her] now more than ever, if you look at your border, if you look at what’s happening" — calling attention to the Biden administration’s border crisis, which has infuriated Lone Star State voters.
Unless one candidate notches more than 50 percent of the vote — an unlikely prospect in such a crowded field — Saturday’s top two vote-getters will battle it out in a runoff election later this spring.
"I’d be surprised if Trump’s endorsement does not propel Susan Wright into the runoff, at least," GOP strategist Ford O’Connell told The Post.

Louisiana also lost a Congressman-elect to covid; his widow won the special election to fill his seat.
[MSN] Sen. Joe Manchin, the moderate Democrat from West Virginia, said in an interview Friday that he opposes legislation to give Washington, D.C., statehood — effectively killing a Democratic-led effort to reshape the American political map.
"If Congress wants to make D.C. a state, it should propose a constitutional amendment and let the people of America vote," Manchin told WV MetroNews Talkline, a West Virginia news outlet.
Asked directly if he would oppose unilateral action by Congress to make the district a state, Manchin replied, "Yes, I would."
Stasha Rhodes, the campaign director for the pro-D.C.-statehood group 51 for 51, said in response that Manchin’s state came about by legislation. "It is how West Virginia was admitted in 1863, how Hawaii was admitted in 1959, and how D.C. will be admitted in 2021," she said. "No member of the Senate should deny voting rights to 700,000 mostly Black and brown Washingtonians based on a flimsy understanding of the Constitution and American history."
[POLICETRIBUNE] Newark police have been ordered to let most suspects walk free it they have warrants with under $500 bail.
Under a new policy implemented on April 25, Newark police will no longer be allowed to arrest suspects who have outstanding, non-indictable warrants under $500, with the exception of those pertaining to domestic violence incidents, according to a City of Newark blurb.
Officers will still be allowed to stop people who have outstanding bench or traffic warrants under the $500 threshold, but only to make sure they are aware they have a warrant and to let them know how to resolve it, Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said in the release.
Once they’ve been made aware, they will be allowed to walk away.
"The last thing people need right now is to lose time from their jobs and families for these minor offenses," O’Hara opined.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said the aim of the new policy is to make it easier on alleged offenders.
The city wants to "lessen [offenders’] burdens, not make them worse," especially during the pandemic, Baraka said.
"We’re not excusing those outstanding warrants; we’re simply extending the appropriate courtesy called for during this pandemic," he wrote. "I believe it is especially critical that we reduce the possibility of people having negative encounters with police over such minor offenses."

I watch a lot of dash and badge camera videos to keep up with how the police are holding up and one thing I noticed is when the police defend themselves they no longer shoot the attacker once or twice to stop the attacker. Now they unload the entire clip into the attacker to completely finish the bad guy off once and for all.
[BREITBART] Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said Thursday on Fox News Channel's "The Ingraham Angle" that there is no systemic racism in America, dismissing it as "a bunch of horse manure."
DeSantis also said that Florida is banning the "Marxist ideology" of critical race theory in public schools.
Host Laura Ingraham asked, "This proposition that we are a systemically racist country, your reaction?"
DeSantis said, "Well, it's a bunch of horse shit manure. Give me a break. This country has had more opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world. And doesn't matter where you trace your ancestry from. We've had people being able to succeed and all. And here's the problem with things like critical race theory that they are peddling. They are basically saying all our institutions are bankrupt and they're illegitimate. Okay, so how do you have a society if everything in your society is illegitimate?"
He added, "It's a very harmful ideology, and I would say really a race-based version of a Marxist-type ideology. So we banned it here in our schools in here Florida. We are not going to put any tax dollars into critical race theory. we want to treat people as individuals, not as members of groups."

[BREITBART] Friday, during an appearance on CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who knows what it might stand for... ’s "Newsroom," Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee ...the clownish U.S. Representative-for-life for Texas's 18th congressional district, serving since 1995. The district includes most of inner-city Houston. She is noted for her lack of tact and intellect. She is a member of the Democratic Party, and almost its epitome... (D-TX) reacted to Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) remarks during the Republican response to President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family... ’s address to a joint session of Congress earlier week.
Jackson Lee blamed institutional and systemic racism for some of the difficulties facing the nation’s minorities.
"Institutional racism and systemic racism taints and spoils the way that America treats, in one instance, African Americans and other instances minorities," she said. "So, there are aspects of America’s laws, America’s structure as relates to the black community in particular and other communities that is racist. There are — certainly, what the president said is accurate about the American people, that the American people, I think, have called to goodness. That’s where they want to be."
"They want to be in a nation that respects all people," Jackson Lee continued. "But our system is such that it then allows Americans, people, to act in instances in a racist manner. And I believe that it is important to call that out and to be able to find ways that we can learn more about each other. And, as you well know, I’m carrying the bill H.R. 40, the commission to study and develop reparation proposals. That study, that commission will be open to all ideas for people to hear the history, understand the history, and I think we will get to a better place. But yes, action by America and actions by people in America have been racist."

French Huguenot vineyard and cattle farmer Pieter Mauritz Retief thought he understand Zulu. Retief was on the move North, away from the thieving Xhosa and a British government that offered them no protection, to a more peaceful place and better lands.
Retief was informed by Zulu Chief Dingane that he would meet with him and his men... 'only if they were unarmed'. The treaty payments were made, and passage rights had been signed. It was to be a celebration. It did not end well for Retief in 1838. It seems it seldom ends well for anyone.

Manchin also said on MetroNews regarding the bill that he believes election integrity is necessary.
"Every vote should be accessible, it should be secure, and it should be fair. That’s the responsibility we have, and [if] the states are subverting that, then we should put guard rails on it," he said.
Manchin did not say, however, which parts of the 800-page bill, named H.R. 1, dissatisfies him, which passed the House on March 3 along partisan lines, irking Manchin.
"How in the world could you, with the tension we have right now, allow a voting bill to restructure the voting of America on a partisan line? I just believe with all my heart and soul that’s what would happen, and I’m not going to be part of it," he said April 27.

Tim Scott's (R-SC) speech on Wednesday and stated that while he doesn't think the American people are racist, "after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity." Make up yer mind, Joe...
Host Craig Melvin asked, "He said among other things, America isn't racist. Is it?" It is or it isn't...
Biden responded, "No, I don't think the American people are racist. But I think after 400 years, African Americans have been left in a position where they are so far behind the eight ball in terms of education and health, in terms of opportunity." Joe's got a big but. There's always a big but involved.
He also stated, "I think the overhang from all of the Jim Crow and before that slavery has had a cost and we have to deal with it."

But Democrats are....as they always have been. It's funny that the Democrats think nobody sees through what they say to what they do. Sees what they are, which is a party that very much believes in slavery, keeping the peons on the plantation, human sacrifice and well, pretty much evil.

Why even bother disputing this lying asshole? He spent most of his 50-odd years in politics as a conservative to moderate Democrat hack. His major contribution to race matters was his crucial support for three strikes and other forms of harsh sentencing for violent felons.
That centrist Democrat policy more than any other was responsible for the greatest achievement of the last 30 years, the stunning decline in murders and other violent crimes in New York and other big cities that adopted harsh sentencing and active, data-driven policing.
This policy saved literally tens of thousands of black lives in this country. By going 180 degrees in the opposite direction, our craven politicians have already caused the murder rate to spike 40% in less than 10 months. About a thousand black people have been killed because of this mad cop-hatred.
Biden knows all of this. He's a f---ing liar and grifter, a vain and corrupt fool who couldn't care less about policy or his country.

[DAILYCALLER] Democratic strategist James Carville doubled down Saturday on Democrats’ wokeness problem that he says could cost the party dearly in 2022 and 2024.
Carville joined CNN’s ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who knows what it might stand for... Michael Smerconish to discuss the issue, and he argued that the fixation on wokeness was preventing Democrats from reaching real people and costing them voters.
"Correct me if I am wrong, it is questioning — not that you are questioning any one aspect of what gets lumped into wokeness but I think you are saying as a political strategy this dog doesn’t hunt," Smerconish prompted after introducing Carville.
"It doesn’t hunt on several levels," Carville said, adding that in politics the best way to reach the people was to speak their language. "Address people as they address each other, not like the humanities department at Amherst wants you to address everybody."
Carville went on to note that the effects were already visible in the results of the 2020 congressional races, saying that slogans like "defund the police" had cost Democrats in more moderate districts.
"I can look at the voting results in the Rio Grande valley. I can look at the voting results in Miami-Dade. I can relate conversations that I have with people every day," Carville continued. "People who don’t want to live like this are scared to address the issue because it might come out the wrong way. No one is using that language except for, you know, some of our people on television if you go to — if you need wokeness, just go listen to NPR. I leave it on my truck radio so I never fall asleep."
Smerconish pressed Carville, asking whether there might be enough voters who appreciated the focus on wokeness to offset any losses. Carville said no, because he believed most of the people who would appreciate that focus likely lived in areas that Democrats would carry anyway.
"We won’t win an election in a faculty lounge. That’s just idiotic. I’m not saying — that whole assumption is idiotic. And I — the number of people that have contacted me or had people contact me after this has been enormously gratifying. Everybody just wanted this temperature to break. I get people, they’re woke and tired of being woke," Carville continued. He went on to say that, as the pandemic ended, people just wanted to return to their normal lives and not worry about whether they might lose their jobs for addressing someone in the wrong way.
"I mean, time and time again, you hear this from everybody and of course people say ’I don’t want to say anything because I’ll lose my job.’ Well, it so happens I’m just at a point where there is nothing to cancel me from so I don’t care. Do what you want to do," he said.
