I haven't had McAfeefor almost 3 years but last week I had a 130 dollar bill on my credit card from McAfee. I called and spent about 20 minutes on the phone and got them to refund me. Said for some reason I was still on autopay.

I worked for McAfee before he started getting juiced. Much different person when he was living a normal life.
[Bloomberg] Venezuela said it will introduce new large-denomination bolivar notes as hyperinflation renders most bills worthless, forcing citizens to turn to the U.S. dollar for everyday transactions.
The country’s central bank posted a statement on its website Friday saying it would begin circulating the new 200,000, 500,000 and 1,000,000 bills to "fulfill the current economy’s requirements" without providing further details. The 1,000,000 note - the largest in the nation’s history - is worth only $0.53 cents.
As Venezuela's economy shrank for a seventh straight year in 2020, the government turned a blind eye to a growing number of dollar transactions, kick-started by rolling power outages that prevented credit and debit card purchases and fostered the use of cash. About 66% of transactions across the country are estimated to be made in foreign currency

[PAGESIX] Rudy Giuliani’s daughter has opened up about her love of threesomes, saying three-way sex has made her "a better person."
Clearly.
In a piece for Vanity Fair titled, "A Unicorn’s Tale: Three-Way Sex With Couples Has Made Me A Better Person," Hizzoner’s daughter, Caroline Rose Giuliani, openly discusses her sexual escapades with other couples. I've been an ever so much better person ever since I started participating in ninesomes. One of them being a German Shepherd expands my horizons beyond the merely human. The presence of schist expands them beyond the merely organic.
The piece, which opens with the words, "I want to watch my boyfriend bend you over," Caroline — the 32-year-old daughter of Rudy Giuliani and Donna Hanover — writes, "I had known some time I was at least bisexual but had barely explored that side of my sexuality. I knew I wanted to experience new dynamics." Me too. I've always been attracted to carp. But only female carp. I'm not homosexual or anything, not that there's anything wrong with that. In fact, there's not anything that is wrong, except for the N- word....
After signing up for a dating site for "Unicorns" — women who agree to have sex with couples — Caroline writes, "One woman I chatted with mentioned she was looking for someone to dominate her but be submissive to her boyfriend.

Aha! That's it. Sodom and Gomorrah.

[FOXNEWS] A Baltimore high school student failed all but three classes over four years and almost graduated near the top half of his class with a 0.13 GPA, according to a local report. Tiffany La Belle France, the mother of the failing student, thought her son would be receiving his diploma from Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in June. However, a lie repeated often enough remains a lie... she was surprised to discover that he is being sent back to the ninth grade to start over.
"He's stressed, and I am, too. I told him I'm probably going to start crying," La Belle France told FOX 45 Baltimore.
La Belle France expressed frustration with the school, asking why her son would have to complete three more years of high school after "the school failed him."
La Belle France's son failed 22 classes and was late or absent 272 days over his first three years of high school. Only one teacher requested a parent-teacher conference, but La Belle France said that didn't happen. Despite this, her son still ranked 62nd in his class out of 120 total students.
"The school failed at their job. They failed. They failed, that's the problem here. They failed. They failed. He didn't deserve that," she said.
FOX 45 found that hundreds of students are flunking classes at the Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in west Baltimore.

[CNBC] The Labor Department reported Friday that non farm payrolls jumped by 379,000 for the month and the unemployment rate fell to 6.2%. That compared with expectations of 210,000 new jobs and the unemployment rate holding steady from the 6.3% rate in January...
.
Nearly all the job gains came from the battered leisure and hospitality sector, which saw an increase of 355,000 amid a relaxation of dining restrictions in some areas. Bars and restaurants gained 286,000 jobs while hotel-related hiring totaled 36,000 and amusement, gambling and recreation businesses added 33,000.
Despite the gain, the industry is still 3.5 million short of its employment level from a year ago...

TAX Season is upon us, welcome back to the tax base, long hours, low pay, just a real worker, and the SEIU looking for $$$$ from you.
[Scandasia] The Chinese Embassy in Denmark is pressuring the City of Copenhagen to remove a new eight-meter-high sculpture resembling the struggles that protesters in Hong Kong are facing. The Chinese Embassy reportedly claims the sculpture will damage Danish-Chinese relations, writes Danish daily Jyllands Posten.
The sculpture by the Danish artist Jens Galschiøt is meant to provide “moral support” to the protesters in Hong Kong and add focus on the use of force against them from Beijing. The new sculpture was publicly displayed in front of the Danish Parliament at Christiansborg Castle Square on 23 January but the day before – 22 January – a representative of the Chinese Embassy approached the City of Copenhagen, which has permitted placing the artwork.
During a telephone conversation between representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Denmark and officials in the City of Copenhagen, the embassy mentioned that it would be wise to withdraw the permit for the statute.
The telephone conversation memo prepared by the City of Copenhagen reads, “The embassy stated that the statue was found to be misleading concerning the factual circumstances in Hong Kong and that the placement of the statue was considered an interference in internal Chinese affairs.”
[OneIndia] 10 power assets came under the RedEcho cyber attack, the Recorded Future said. Further, the report also said that the ports in Mumbai and Tamil Nadu too came under attack by the actor group, which has Chinese links.
The report said that the Delhi state load despatch centre, DTL Tikri Kalan substation in Delhi; Mumbai Port Trust, western regional load despatch centre In Maharashtra, NTPC's Kudgi power plant and southern regional load despatch centre in Karnataka, VO Chidambarnar port in Tamil Nadu, Telengana load despatch centre, eastern regional load despatch centre in West Bengal load despatch centre and northeastern regional load despatch centre in Assam were the power assets that came under attack.
During a presentation, CEO of Recorded Future, Christopher Ahlberg said thatt they observed through the network intelligence significant, high volume network traffic from Indian power sector assets to servers used by China-linked group RedEcho. The adversary infrastructure is still active and activity continues, he also said.
On Monday a report said that a massive power outage in Mumbai last October may have been the handiwork of China. Beijing has however denied this.
The report says that a China linked threat activity group, RedEcho targeted the Indian power sector.
The links to the Mumbai outage provides additional evidence suggesting the coordinated targeting of Indian Load Dispatch Centres, the report further stated.
The flow of Malware was pieced together by Recorded Future, a US based company that studies the use of internet by state actors. It found that most of the malware was never activated. Because Recorded Future could not get inside India's power systems, it could not examine the details of the code itself.
"From mid-2020, Recorded Future's midpoint collection revealed a steep rise in the use of infrastructure tracked as AXIOMATICASYMPTOTE, which encompasses ShadowPad command and control servers, to target a large swathe of India's power sector. 10 distinct Indian power sector organizations, including four of the five regional load dispatch centres responsible for the operation of the power grid through balancing electricity supply and demand, have been identified as targets in a concerted campaign against India's critical infrastructure. Other targets identified include two Indian seaports," the report said.
Further it also said that there was a clear and consistent pattern of Indian organizations being targeted in this campaign through the behavioural profiling of network traffic to adversary infrastructure.
[BusinessInsider] SpaceX created a futuristic tableau at its Texas rocket-testing facilities on Thursday, when a robotic dog wandered the wreckage of the company's latest Starship prototype.
SpaceX launched the rocket prototype, called Starship serial No. 10, or SN10, on Wednesday. Like the two prototypes before it, SN10 climbed to nearly 33,000 feet above the company's facilities in the town of Boca Chica. Then it shut off its engines and plummeted to Earth in a belly-flop position, controlling its fall with four wing flaps.
Unlike its predecessors, which slammed into the ground and exploded immediately, SN10 successfully refired its engines to flip itself upright and touch down softly on the ground. But then it exploded spectacularly 10 minutes later.
With the air cleared and the roads reopened, photographers and SpaceX fans flocked to the company's facilities on Thursday morning to watch the cleanup from a distance. That's when they spotted a fascinating four-legged robot wandering the wreckage.

Appropriate use for the robodog. Go into hazardous areas with a camera, mic, and a chem sniffer.
Hearing the problem was two-fold: 1. The 3 of the 6 temporary jury-rig landing gear failed to lock down and fully deploy, causing it to impact the body rather than crumple the gear as designed 2. It bounced on landing, indicating they were having throttling issues. This is known to be an issue with the Raptor engine design: it is a full-cycle engine and does not throttle down well at the low end; it tends to flame out instead, causing it to need to be relit, which can cause a thrust bump.
Plenty of work left to be done, but they did manage to at least temporarily (10 minutes) land it upright, so that is progress. SN11 the last of the initial prototypes is ready to roll out as soon as the pad is cleared, and SN15 the first of the new design prototypes will be ready next week apparently.
SN12, 13, and 14 were all the older model prototypes and summarily scrapped in various stages of assembly.

[Mil.com] Tens of thousands of National Guard troops who deployed to Washington, D.C., ahead of a 2021 inauguration under threat of violence are eligible for a brand-new award in recognition of their service, Military.com has learned.
The D.C. National Guard has created a new "Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon" in recognition of a deeply unusual security mission earlier this year, an official confirmed to Military.com.
"In recognition of their service as part of the security mission at the U.S. Capitol and other facilities in Washington, D.C., before, during and after the 59th Presidential Inauguration, the District of Columbia National Guard plans to present all Soldiers and Airmen who took part in the mission one or both of the following decorations: the District of Columbia National Guard Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon and/or the District of Columbia Emergency Service Ribbon," Air Force Lt. Col. Robert Carver, spokesman for the Virginia Air National Guard and director of Joint Task Force-DC Joint Information Center, said in a statement. "Both ribbons are District-level decorations. Plans for their presentation are not yet final. Other federal decorations are also being considered."

Quick thoughts:\
1. Yes, these films have their problematic scenes that look bad today. Times change, sometimes for the better.
2. Problematic or not, GWTW was playing 24-7 not so long ago in CNN headquarters, at no charge to anyone. Don Lemmon should be shocked, shocked that this was going on beneath his establishment.
3. All the people responsible for the content of these films are dead and cannot be reached for comment and cannot be doxxed.
4. TCM is in quandary, sort of their own making. They own the rights of many if not most the films they show. With lower costs than the basic cable reality/cooking show lineup, they could go on indefinitely if they wanted to, if only they wanted to be associated with their product.
5. It’s an ironic coincidence, isn’t it, that now we have instant access by streaming and Blu-Ray to the last 105 years of most of film with the best remastered audio and video since it was first shown, and much of it is nearly free. So now we have this sudden surge of wokism to discourage us from seeing it, this at a time when current Hollywood is halfway shutdown? Like live jazz or classical music, at some point your predecessors become your arch competitors.
6. In pop culture, those who fall behind the herd fall victim to becoming “camp.” Now it’s not the questionable stuff, but the better films of the great year of 1939, GWTW /Four Feathers / Gunga Din are getting the same treatment.
7. Never watch old movies for self-affirmation or in the daylight.
8. They’ll never take down the most modern old movie, Jimmy Cagney’s White Heat of 1949.

My wife recorded "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and we watched it last night. During the introduction by TCM, we discovered the movie had its problems, which would be explored by the hosts after the movie.
O.K., so kidnapping six chicks in 1850's Oregon until they decide to become six wives is not a model for society. But it wasn't intended as such, in 1954, when it was nominated for five Academy Awards.
Fun movie, great voices, fabulous choreography.
My bride was not interested in watching the concluding "analysis".

...based on Roman mythology/history, it all sort of mixes together that early in the record keeping.

...Breakfast At Tiffany's also has Mickey Rooney's subtle, nuanced performance as Mr. Yunioshi.
Just kidding. It's so bad that it was considered cringe-inducing in 1961. To avoid any friction, I will simply suggest that any 'Burgers who haven't already seen that otherwise delightful movie look it up.
Before, of course, the references are deleted.

Failing that, move them off their farms, out of their successful small businesses, condone rampant crime, facilitate illegal immigration, kill them, or force them to move to other lands. The highly effective Zim/SA/UK model.
The centralization of wealth, industry, and control requires great effort.

Been trending this way with their hosts for some time now. Used to be the opening monologue was an introduction of ceremony celebrating a classic, then it became this is what the film means, and now, what you should think about it.
Generations spent building wonder around film, and television in some regards, trashed by cancel culture. Instead of starting with a story and building around it, they now insist starting with the appropriate number of woke boxes filled, select a topic, draw out a generic script, then purchase the title and story. It is batteries in backwards, and the humanities are worse for it.
