[ToloNews] First Vice President Amrullah Saleh on Sunday said Hizbut Tahrir ...an al-Qaeda recruiting organization banned in most countries. It calls for the reestablishment of the Caliphate... is not registered with the Ministry of Justice in Afghanistan and it does not have the right to hold gatherings or spread propaganda.
Saleh said in a Facebook post that the Afghan government does not recognize Hizbut Tahrir, therefore any activity by the group is illegal.
He added that some activists from the group have a similar mindset to those in terrorist groups. He warns supporters of Hizbut Tahrir to stop anti-government activity and propaganda.
The move comes after an increase in anti-government slogans by members and supporters of Hizbut Tahrir in the country.
"The party will not have the right to hold gatherings or create propaganda. In other words, this party is not recognized by the government of Afghanistan," said Mohammad Baqir Kazimi, a member of the media office of the first vice president.

Some supporters of Hizbut Tahrir recently urged like-minded Afghans to establish an Islamic caliphate in Afghanistan.
"Hizbut Tahrir is mostly focused on changing the mindset of youth to drive their attention toward murderous Moslem thoughts," Adeli said.
Sources said that Hizbut Tahrir operates in Kapisa, Panjshir, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... and Ghor provinces and is encouraging youth in religious education centers and universities to join the party.
"There are some who have not felt the reality of Islam and have decided immediately and think that killing is everything," said Mustafa Daud, a university lecturer in Baghlan.
"There is a fear that they might have entered the (Kabul) university through different groups to inform their members about what happens in the university as a spy," said Bahija Aman, a student.
"I found out that they are similar to some terrorist groups and that they might seek the collapse of the government; therefore, I decided not to join them," said Mohammad Masih, a student.
Hizbut Tahrir is an international pan-Islamist and fundamentalist political organization that was established in 1953 and its stated aim is the re-establishment of the Islamic caliphate to unite the Moslem community and implement Shariah.
[ToloNews] The interior minister and the deputy defense minister went to Kandahar on Sunday amid growing concern over the deteriorating security situation in the southern province.
Clashes have been reported in parts of Arghandab district, which is close to the city of Kandahar. The Taliban ...Arabic for students... has reached close to the centers of some districts in Kandahar in recent weeks.
Arghandab, Zherai, Dand and Pajwai districts have witnessed festivities between government forces and the Taliban in the last few months.
But Interior Affairs Minister Massoud Andarabi said the elements that threatened a collapse of the province have been removed.
"Arghandab district has its own issues. Here, the strength and capacity of Afghan forces were displayed. Over 650 Taliban have been killed in the operation to retake parts of Arghandab over the last two months. They lost many of their commanders," Andarabi said.
"The Taliban’s calculation to overrun Kandahar and Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... was proved wrong and you know that many areas have been retaken by our security and defense forces," Deputy Defense Minister Shah Mahmoud Miakhil said.
Kandahar politicians recently said that they see a lack of coordination between security agencies in the province that has led to a fragile security situation in the southern province.

[IsraelTimes] An examination of damage to an Israeli-owned fat merchantman currently docked in Dubai indicates a kaboom that hit it in the Gulf of Oman was caused by mines covertly attached to the ship, according to a Sunday TV report.
Channel 13 news did not cite sources for the report, which contradicted earlier reported assessments in Israel that that blast was caused by missiles. An Israeli team is believed to be in Dubai to examine the ship following the suspected attack. The ship is undergoing repairs in Dubai.
Limpet mines are a type of naval explosive that attach to targets using magnets. The report speculated that the mines could have been attached to the ship’s hull during a stop at a port and later set off.
The network said that Israel increasingly believes a naval force from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was behind the attack. Channel 12 news raised the possibility that the earth-shattering kaboom was the work of a commando team in a fast boat that attached explosives to the ship.
As a result of the earth-shattering kaboom, Israeli ships were instructed to increase alertness and change their typical conduct in an attempt to evade potential problems, Channel 12 said. The exact instructions were not revealed for security reasons.

UNICEF called for the safe reintegration and repatriation of all children in al-Hol Camp and across the northeast of Syria following the fire the day before. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire that burnt several tents in the sprawling al-Hol camp, which has witnessed a sharp increase in crimes in recent weeks.
Al-Hol houses the wives, widows, children and other family members of ISIS bully boyz — more than 80 percent of its 62,000 residents are women and kiddies. The majority are Iraqis and Syrians, but it includes some 10,000 people from 57 other countries, housed in a highly secured separate area known as the Annex. Many of them remain die-hard ISIS supporters.
