[France24] Four doctors who worked at an Afghan prison with hundreds of Taliban inmates were among five people killed Tuesday when a bomb attached to their car exploded, police said.
The blast happened in a southern district of the city when the doctors were travelling to the Pul-e-Charkhi prison where they worked, Kabul police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz said. "NO SOUP Medical Care for YOU!"
Four doctors and a passer-by were killed when a "magnetic bomb" attached to the car detonated, Faramarz said, adding that another two people were wounded.
Hundreds of Taliban fighters and other criminals are incarcerated at Pul-e-Charkhi, located on the eastern outskirts of Kabul.
The city has been hit by a wave of deadly violence in recent months despite the Taliban and the government engaging in peace talks.
Targeted killings of prominent figures, including journalists, politicians and rights activists have also become more common recently in Kabul and other provinces.
The jihadist Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for some of the recent attacks in Kabul, that killed dozens of people.
Tuesday's attack came just two days after a car bomb targeting a lawmaker killed 10 people and wounded more than 50 in Kabul.
Lawmaker Khan Mohammad Wardak was wounded in the blast.
Days before that incident, a deputy governor of Kabul province, Mahbobullah Mohebi was killed in a similar attack.
And on Monday, an Afghan journalist was shot dead by gunmen in the eastern city of Ghazni in what appeared to be a yet another targeted killing.
Rahmatullah Nekzad had contributed to the Associated Press news agency since 2007 and had also previously worked with the Al-Jazeera broadcast network.
[ToloNews] A journalist in Ghazni, Rahmatullah Nikzad, who was also head of the journalists' union in the province, was killed in an attack by gunnies this evening, the provincial police said.
Ghazni police said that the journalist was killed by unknown gunnies in front of his home.
He had worked for Al Jazeera and the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
He is the fifth journalist killed in the last two months in the country.
Amid an increase of threats against media workers in Afghanistan, journalists on Saturday called on the government to launch an investigation into recent attacks that killed several journalists in the country.
Journalists said that lack of attention to the investigation of attacks against media workers will cause severe harm to press freedom in the country.

Abdul Wase Sayed Khaili, the police chief of Parwan province, said that four other soldiers, including the provincial highway police chief, had been killed in the incident.
According to Khaili, the incident took place Sunday night in the "Abdi Bai" area of Parwan, wherein the vehicle carrying the provincial police commander collided with a roadside mine.
Earlier, the province witnessed the firing of five rockets at the Bagram military airfield.

[KhaamaPress] The Afghan National Army (ANA) defused at least nine Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), said the Ministry of Defense in a statement Monday, after discovering the explosives in Kandahar province.
According to the statement, the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... planted the bombs in Maiwand district of Kandahar province, targeting innocent civilians.
"9 #IEDs which were placed by #Taliban on public roads in Maiwand district of Kandahar province to kill innocent people, were discovered and defused by #ANA, yesterday," said the MoD in a tweet. "Lives of tens of civilians were saved as a result."
Meanwhile, ...back at the Council of Boskone, Kinnison began his slow infiltration of the sewer system... in a separate statement, officials said a public road in Maiwant district of Kandahar is reconstructed, exclaiming the "Taliban destroy infrastructures of #AFG; ANA build them!"
"A road in Maiwand district of Kandahar province which had been destroyed by Taliban and created problems for the residents of the district, was reconstructed by #ANA last night," said the MoD in a tweet.
[KhaamaPress] At least 15 Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... were killed in Nawa, Gerish and Nad Ali districts of Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
According to MoD, the Taliban fighters were killed in a reciprocal attack, and a large number of their weapons and ammunition were also destroyed during the operations.
This comes as the Ministry of Defense, tweeted on Monday, that 12 Taliban were killed in a clash between security forces and Taliban fighters in Kandahar.
The Taliban attack was rebuffed by the Afghan national security forces in the Zherai district of Kandahar province.
Taliban fighters had gathered in the Pushmul area of Jiri district and Dand district of Kandahar province aimed to plan attacks on the government’s security and defense checkpoints, MoD stated.
During the skirmish, 12 Taliban were reported killed and 4 others maimed, and their weapons and ammunition have been destroyed.
On the other hand, 9 IEDs placed by the Taliban in the Maiwand District of Kandahar were discovered and safely defused, before these mines could result in heavy civilian casualties, Mod tweeted.
Kandahar and Helmand are the most insecure provinces in the country, where Taliban attacks in various districts of the province have increased over the past two months and amid peace negotiations in Doha.
Ferdaws Faramarz, a front man to Kabul Police HQ, told Khaama press that the incident occurred when a jacket wallah detonated his explosive vest out side Bolsan Mosque in the Bolsan village.
One civilian was killed, as the bomber detonated his explosive vest during the Fatiha (a ritual ceremony often after the funeral).
Media reports the incident happened at around 2 p.m. local time.
The incident is still under the police investigation.

[KhaamaPress] At least two people were maimed in a magnetic IED explosion in Kabul city Monday morning, Kabul police confirmed.
The incident occurred at around 10:15 a.m. in Mahbas square in PD12 of Kabul province.
A civilian and a Security force member were maimed in a magnetic blast targeting a Ranger type vehicle, ANP stated.
No group or individual has so far grabbed credit for the attack.
The city is rattled with the lasted string of explosions as magnetic IED explosions increase in the capital and other regions of Afghanistan.
Such insurgency attacks have increased concerns among the public, and have reduced confidence in police reconnaissance.

The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... , has released a video to confirm that it was responsible for last week's abduction of school students in Katsina State.

However, there's more than one way to stuff a chicken... in a video released by the terrorist group and made public on Thursday, December 17, the kidnapped boys were filmed inside what looked like a forest.
One of the boys who spoke in the video begged the government to secure their release from captivity.
"Some of us were killed. Please sir help us immediately. You have to send them the money," he said.
The student also told the government to withdraw security agents trying to rescue them from the holy warriors as it'll only worsen the issue.
Over a dozen boys were seen in the video clip gathered around the boy that was allowed to plead for their safe return.
Katsina governor, Aminu Bello Masari, said earlier this week that the government has already commenced negotiations with the kidnappers to ensure the students return unhurt.
He also revealed on Wednesday, December 16 that most of the kidnapped students are believed to be in a forest in Zamfara.
The abduction of the boys, and the latest video, is a rehash of Boko Haram's abduction of 276 schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State in 2014. 112 of the girls are yet to return to their families six years later.

West Africa Province (ISWAP), also kidnapped 112 schoolgirls and one boy in Dapchi, Yobe State in 2018.
107 of the hostages were returned by the holy warriors a month later, after negotiations with the government, while five of the girls died in Boko Haram custody.
Leah Sharibu, another one of the kidnapped girls, was not released because she refused to renounce her Christian faith, and remains with the holy warriors over two years later.

[AlAhram] Austrian prosecutors said Sunday that another two suspects have been arrested for alleged involvement in the November 2 terrorist attack in Vienna.
The two men -- one of whom is a 26-year-old Austrian of Afghan origin -- were arrested on Friday, a spokeswoman for the prosecutors' office told AFP.
She declined to reveal the nationality of the other suspect.
A request would be made later on Sunday for them to be held until trial, the spokeswoman added.
Last month, an Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... supporter who had been convicted and imprisoned for trying to join the IS group in Syria went on a shooting rampage in central Vienna, killing four people, aged between 21 and 44.
The 20-year-old gunman, a dual Austrian-Macedonian national, was rubbed out by police.
That would be Kujtim Fejzulai, under the nom de guerre of Abu Dujana al-Albani the very connected, known wolf who ran around a few blocks of Jewish Vienna in a fake bomb vest shooting at people for nine whole minutes before the police shot him down like a rabid dog, all for love of ISIS. He was armed for the occasion with a Serbian assault rifle, a Soviet-type handgun, a machete, and Serbian and Chinese ammunition. He was deradicalized after returning from fighting in Syria, but clearly it didn’t take...
Eighteen people have since been detained in Austria and Switzerland ...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell... in connection with the attack and the government also ordered the closure of two mosques in Vienna frequented by the attacker.
They are the Melit Ibrahim mosque in the Ottakring district and the Tewhid mosque in the Meidling area. It was at the independent Melit Ibrahim mosque that our lad joined the international German-speaking jihadi network around Mirsad Omerovic, head of a Bosnian jihadi group in Vienna and prolific recruiter for the international jihadi pipeline — over 160 sent on to ISIS alone before he was arrested in 2015. The Tewhid mosque is under the jurisdiction of the Islamic Religious Community (IGGÖ), the largest Islamic community organisation in Austria, beholden to Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood. Both mosques were supposed to have been closed two years ago under Austria’s Islam Law.
Until the deadly shooting, the country of 8.9 million people had in recent decades been spared the shock and mayhem wreaked by major terrorist attacks.

Interesting that so many AntiFarters have jobs working with children or in "social services." A good bet that many of them were themselves fucked up as children by similar monsters or goons.
If we want to rid our nation of the Antifa scourge then we need to redouble our efforts to crack down on child abuse and ped0philia and also get back to institutionalizing the severely mentally ill -- including (especially) our "gender dysphoric" freaks

"Progressive."
Schoolteacher.
Camp counselor.
A "certified" Bernie Sanders delegate in his 2020 presidential bid.
And a devotee of "punishment enemas."
Baker was also a certified state delegate for Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign.
Online, Baker identifies as an “antifascist catgirl” and is open about their sexual fetishes, including having a desire for “punishment enemas” and exploring their “pet side.”
At last, we have the right frame for understanding what Democrats and Never-Trumpers have been trying to inflict upon this country for the last four years.

The animals that furries portray are usually things like a fox, wolf, dog, cat, tigers, or other easily-anthropomorphized creatures. Remember, your fursona is supposed to reflect your own identity, and you’re probably more likely to see yourself as a lion than as a slug. Furries aren’t pretending to be real animals, they're more of a cartoonish version – that’s why you’ll see a green fox or purple panda with big cartoon eyes.
Is this a sexual thing?
Dear reader, here’s nothing I’d love to tell you more right now than “no,” but I would never lie to you.

Even animals know better than to do what this little monster and his mates do for kicks (scroll down to the end of the article, above -- if you can stomach it...).

There are a disproportionate number of body dysphorics reported among the front-line thugs.
Is there some connection between violence and body dysphoria (they seem to be committing violence against their bodies)?
Or is this lashing out by those who can't admit they've been duped?
Or is this just some kind of "founder's effect" where being a street thug got to be thought of as a trans-thing and is attracting them now?
Or are they just less street smart and getting caught more often?

It also works as a subsitute teacher (presumably for the Seattle School District).

[IsraelTimes] Military says suspect taken in for questioning a day after incident in northern West Bank that sparked right-wing anger.
A Paleostinian man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a soldier at a checkpoint in the northern West Bank on Saturday evening, the army said. The incident has sparked right-wing fury since the soldier didn’t respond to the attack.
A video of the incident shows a man emerge from a car at the checkpoint, near the settlement of Kedumim. He approaches the soldier and speaks with him for several moments before pulling out the Molotov cocktail, lighting it and hurling it at the soldier, who dodges.
The man then runs away as the soldier watches, without responding to the attack.
"Following intelligence and operational activity by the IDF and the Shin Bet, the suspect in the hurling of the Molotov cocktail last night towards an IDF fighter... was arrested," the military said in a statement.
The suspect has been taken for questioning, according to the statement.
The army said Saturday that it was also investigating the conduct of the soldier, a member of the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance battalion, as well as other troops at the checkpoint, and viewed the incident gravely.
[Jpost] The IDF on Monday removed a soldier from his combat position following an incident in which he responded passively to an attack against him.
The Golani soldier failed to act when a Molotov cocktail was hurled at him near the settlement of Kedumim on Saturday night.
"Although it was a complicated situation, the soldier was expected to operate according to the [IDF’s] rules of engagement and to respond until the terrorist is neutralized," the IDF said Monday. Because of the complexity of the incident, his reinstatement to a combat roll will be reassessed in several months, it added.
"We should see [victory] as a compass that guides us all the time and in all fields, in our operational activity and in exercises, in our day-to-day duties and in emergency cases, in our home front and in the front," IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi said Monday. "The value of victory is not a term that is reserved only for war. It is an integral component of the identity of a soldier."
"Every soldier standing in front of an enemy, in his daily routine or in war, must be precise in his actions," he said. "He must act to initiate contact and to thwart every threat."
[IsraelTimes] A suspect attempted to open fire at a group of coppers stationed near the Lions Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City, police say.
Officers returned fire, apparently killing the suspect.
No officers are reported injured.
The Magen David Adom medical service says the assailant was "neutralized," without elaborating.
According to MDA, one person was lightly injured, having fallen while running away from the scene.
It appears the weapon used was a Carlo-style submachine gun, which seems to have jammed. These makeshift guns are relatively common in Jerusalem and the West Bank, but are generally of poor quality and are prone to malfunction.
The suspect is reportedly a 17-year-old Palestinian from Qabatiya.
Shortly after, a second suspect was arrested by police in the surrounding area. He is believed to have assisted the shooter and was meant to help him escape.
