[ToloNews] Seven employees of a private construction firm were kidnapped in Nahr-e-Shahi district of Balkh province on Friday, the Balkh urban development director Abdul Basit Aini said.
He said blamed the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... for kidnapping the employees of the company. The Taliban so far has not commented on the incident.
The employees were on duty in Langar Khan area in Nahr-e-Shahi district when they were kidnapped, Aini said.
He added that the Taliban took with them an excavator, a roller and a vehicle.
Aini said three employees of the same company were kidnapped by the Taliban last month and were released after mediation by local elders.
Balkh police said an investigation has started into the incident.

Two weeks ago, the Taliban perpetrated a major offensive on some strategic parts of Helmand including Lashkargar, Nahr-e-Saraj, Nawa and Nad Ali districts. The conflict in Helmand has displaced over 5,000 families, according to the Refugees and Repatriation Directorate.
"The Taliban is trying to create fear among the people. The Taliban wants to overrun this place, but we will not allow them to do so," said Madad Khan, a police officer in Nawah district in Helmand.
Violence has remained high in last four weeks amidst the start of the peace negotiations in Doha. On Thursday, over 50 security force members were killed in Taliban attack in Takhar.
Also, at least 20 members of the Afghan National Army were killed in Taliban attack in Nimroz province in the west of Afghanistan on Thursday evening.
Local officials said that four security force members were killed in Taliban attack in Kunduz on Thursday.

[IsraelTimes] Authorities say suspects were drunk when they encountered group of Moslem families at foot of Eiffel Tower and were set off when victims told them they felt threatened by their dog.
Two women accused of stabbing two other women wearing Moslem headscarves near the Eiffel Tower in Gay Paree and trying to rip off their veils have been charged with assault and racist slurs, legal sources told AFP on Thursday.
The case comes amid heightened racial tensions following the jihadist killing last week of a French teacher who had shown his pupils cartoons of the prophet Mohammed.
The women accused over the assault were drunk when they came across a group of Moslemwomen and kiddies in the Champ de Mars park at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
The Moslem family complained about the other women’s dog, saying they felt threatened by it.
In the ensuing row one of the women with the dog pulled a knife and stabbed two of the veiled women, aged 19 and 40.
The 40-year-old woman sustained six stab wounds and is being treated in a hospital for a perforated lung.
The younger victim was stabbed three times and was also treated in a hospital but has since been discharged.
Both victims claimed their attackers called them "dirty Arabs" and told them: "This is not your home."
‘WITCH HUNT’
The incident caused a furor on social media with some people accusing the French media of remaining silent about an attack they saw as clearly anti-Moslem.
The main suspect has been placed in preventive custody while her friend has been released on bail, sources close to the investigation said.
The pair were charged late Wednesday with assault aggravated by the use of a weapon, drunkenness, racial insults and the fact that they acted together.
But the victims’ lawyer Arie Alimi has called for the women to face stiffer charges, accusing them of attempted murder linked to the victims’ race or religion.
He said one of the women specifically took issue with the headscarves worn by several women in the Moslem family, referring to it as "that thing you have on your head."
He also accused the suspects of trying to rip off their victims’ veils and of aiming blows at the head.
The two suspects deny making racial insults.
Their lawyer Bernard Solitude warned against "blowing this story out of proportion" and said it was important to "stick to the facts: a row which degenerated after insults were made."
Alimi accused the French authorities — which have closed a mosque on the outskirts of Gay Paree and moved to shut down several Moslem groups in the aftermath of the beheading of teacher Samuel Paty by an 18-year-old Chechen radical — of a "witch hunt."
He argued it had the effect of helping jihadists "reach their goal, which is the stigmatizing of Moslems leading to more individuals becoming radicalized."

I would say each and every one has already received A form of Reparations over their life cycle.

[Rudaw] Three young men were killed and set ablaze in the village of Toulk in northern Kirkuk province on Saturday evening.
Peshmerga fighter Aram Mustafa, his brother Harez and cousin Peshawa Abdulrahman, all in their 20s, were searching for cattle in the area when they were killed.
According to village residents, the three men were rubbed out in their vehicle and were then set on fire.
According to Luqman Sartki, commander of the Peshmerga’s 11th Brigade, bullet fragments were left in the vehicle but no other evidence was recovered from the scene.
Aram and Harez’s father say the three men were searching for missing cattle in the area.
"Three to four of our cattle were killed and eaten by wolves recently. Another cow was missing. They were searching for it...I was unaware they had gone to another site and had faced this tragedy," said Mustafa Mohammed.
The incident took place in a remote area located in a security vaccum empty of both Kurdish Peshmerga and Iraqi federal forces.
"The area has been inspected before but a good operation needs a large force of 2,000 to 3,000 corps because the area is sensitive and it is suitable for hideouts," Nariman Sallayi, Peshmerga Brigade 126 commander told Rudaw on Sunday.

"The technical division of the Federal Police discovered a mass grave in a village in Kirkuk during a security search raid," Brigadier General Yahya Rasool, spokesperson of the Iraqi Armed Forces said in a tweet on Tuesday night.
Rasool added that the mass grave "contained the bodies of 50 people who were executed by ISIS [ISIS] bully boyz during their control over the region."
Rasool did not provide more details on the identity of the bodies.

Salim Bahram and four of his sons - Safin, Sarwar, Qasim and Mohammed - were travelling on an unpaved road to their farm in Qaraj Plains when they hit an IED on Tuesday morning.
Mohammed was the only family member to survive the blast and is now being treated at an Erbil hospital.
Relatives of the victims believe the bomb was set by ISIS sleeper cells, who are active in the area at night.
"Security is under the control of ISIS [ISIS] during the night but they do not appear in daylight. There is no security and the [Iraqi] army has merely blocked the road. He went there to earn an income and make ends meet," Salim’s brother Hunar told Rudaw.
Makhmour mayor Rizgar Mustafa told Rudaw that an Arab who accompanied the family was also injured in the earth-shattering kaboom.
"I went to the scene and collected heads and hands. There is no security at all. It is all a lie," said Salim’s brother Hussein.
The family regularly travelled on the road in question, Hussein added, believing the IED’s to be new.
Although in Erbil province, Makhmour lies in territory disputed between Erbil and Baghdad. ISIS was declared territorially defeated in Iraq in late 2017 but it still remains active in some parts of the country, especially in disputed areas where lack of coordination between Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi Army has given the group a chance to carry out attacks, explosions and kidnappings.

Ottoman Turkish state-owned Anadolu Agency (AA) reported on Friday that the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) captured Ferhat Tekiner, wanted by Ottoman Turkish police for involvement in the 2016 Kayseri explosion which killed 15 coppers and maimed 54 others.
AA did not specify where in northern Iraq - which could refer to the Kurdistan Region or disputed areas like Kirkuk or Nineveh - Tekiner was captured. However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... his mother had told police that her son had fled to Sulaimani province.
Tekiner is accused of aiding the perpetrator of a deadly explosion against Ottoman Turkish army in Kayseri province in 2016, according to state media.
Sulaimani police told Rudaw English that they were not aware of the operation. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) was unavailable for comment.
According to AA, Tekiner is accused of stealing a bus for Kenan Cicek, who then drove the bus and detonated a bomb on the vehicle on December 17, 2016.

300 to 400 families in villages near Ain Issa have reportedly abandoned their homes due to Ottoman Turkish bombardments.
Ain Issa is the administrative capital of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (NES),also known as Rojava, and lies north of Raqqa in Gire Spi (Tel Abyad) district.
The area has been hit by multiple Ottoman Turkish bombardments in recent days, lying just outside of a Ottoman Turkish-controlled zone taken by Ankara during 2019’s Operation Peace Spring offensive, which displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians.
"There have been constant attacks in Ain Issa and its villages in the last few days. The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... also tried to enter the city but fire was returned from many sides [by our forces]. It may attack again because it has a project of enlargement in the region," said Riyad al-Khamees, head of Gire Spi's Military Council.
"We guard this road around the clock to protect civilians, and we resist against our enemy, Turkey," said Asayesh member Ahmed al-Ali at the entrance to Ain Issa.
[Rudaw] The Turkish army and its Syrian proxies attacked the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in several villages in northern Syria on Wednesday, according to local sources.
Turkey began bombarding Ain Issa in northern Raqqa province early Wednesday, according to the North Press Agency.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that clashes erupted between both forces in Sayda village near Ain Issa.
“According to SOHR sources, the clashes, which lasted for hours before the sneaked [sic] groups withdrew, left casualties on both sides. Six Turkish-backed militiamen were killed, while five members of Asayish Forces were injured, some seriously,” said the UK-based monitor group, referring to Kurdish local security forces.
Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a media outlet close to the SDF, reported late Wednesday that Turkey launched an attack on Sidon village in Ain Issa but was repelled by the SDF.
Ain Issa is located in Gire Spi (Tal Abyad) district in northern Syria. It is partially controlled by the SDF.
Turkey launched Operation Peace Spring against the SDF in October 2019, controlling Gire Spi and Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) before reaching ceasefire agreements with Russia and the USA.
However, it has regularly bombarded SDF-held areas since then.
On Tuesday night, the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched their largest attack of the year in Syria, as their forces temporarily occupied areas inside the eastern region of Hama.
According to a field source in the Hama Governorate, the Islamic State launched a powerful attack in the Ithriya area that lasted for several hours between Tuesday and Wednesday.
This Islamic State attack on the Ithriya area resulted in the temporary capture of several hamlets in eastern Hama.
Not long after the Islamic State seized these areas, the Russian and Syrian air forces unleashed a heavy aerial assault on the terrorist group’s positions, resulting in the loss of several militants.
The field source told Al-Masdar News on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Army eventually regained the initiative after the airstrikes and reinforcements arrived at the Ithriya front.
For the Syrian Arab Army, the Islamic State’s attack resulted in heavy losses, including a large number of dead.
Since the start of the new year, the Islamic State has shifted their attention to the eastern countryside of Hama, which is a region of central Syria that they previously occupied a large part of.
