[NYPOST] A Brooklyn grand jury has indicted a 15-year-old alleged Crips gang member on attempted murder and other raps for the Labor Day shooting that hit a 6-year-old boy in both legs and injured five others.
The indictment against Donovan Bailey was revealed Friday during a hearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Bailey was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault and weapons possession for the Sept. 7 shootout in Crown Heights during an unsanctioned J’Ouvert celebration.
... a large street party held annually during Carnival in many Caribbean islands and Caribbean emigrant enclaves. J'ouvert is likely a gallicization of jou ouvè, the Antillean Creole French term meaning "dawn" or "daybreak", when the festival is typically held....
The judge, lawyers and defendants all appeared via Skype.
In light of the new indictment, Judge Craig Walker ordered Bailey held on $5,000 bail on an old 2019 robbery case at the request of Assistant DA Anthony Bailey.
The alleged teen triggerman, who is a reputed member of the Crips, was already ordered held without bail for the early morning shootout that left 6-year-old Maxwell Cesc-Dinho with a shattered femur after a bullet tore through both his legs. The child’s mother was also struck in the foot. Bailey allegedly fled in a silver vehicle but was nabbed a few blocks away.
Authorities said the bloodshed was sparked by a gang dispute with the rival Folk Nation crew.
... an alliance of Black, white, and Latino Chicago street gangs formed in 1978 in Illinois state prisons that subsequently spread throughout the United States. Wikipedia claims their chief rival is the People Nation, an alliance of other Chicago gangs — apparently there is nearly an infinite supply...
In Exeter, New Hampshire Tuesday, a woman attempting to vote was told she couldn’t because of her clothes.
She was donning a t-shirt which declared, “McCain Hero, Trump Zero.”
That was deemed a form of electioneering.
As her name was checked by a poll worker, Town Moderator Paul Scafidi told the apparent anti-Trumper she couldn’t practice political suffrage with apparel sporting a candidate.
Refusing to be stripped of her right to vote, the ambitious agent of change removed her shirt about a hero and became, surely to some, the same thing.
Paul pointed out, “She could’ve just gone into the hallway and turned it inside-out.”
And he could’ve thrown her out due to indecency.
But he thought it was breast best not to:
“I could have (had her removed), but I didn’t want to exacerbate the whole thing. I don’t know if she was trying to have me get her arrested, but I thought it was better to just let things play out. I don’t think there were more than 15 voters in the building at the time and if there were any children there, I didn’t see them.”

That picture wasn't up there this morning! I would have noticed!
I have it on authority (the Internet!) that women's breasts have a calming effect on men. I feel better already!

Version I read indicated the woman who removed her shirt removed a pro-Trump shirt and the woman in the McCain Hero/Trump Zero didn't have to remove hers because "reasons".

[BBC] After months of worsening tensions on their contested Himalayan border, India and China surprised many by announcing that troops are to quickly disengage.
The joint announcement followed a marathon meeting between Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Moscow.
It came despite spiralling rhetoric between the nuclear-armed neighbours, which had suggested increasing hostility.
Earlier in the week, China's state-run Global Times had said Chinese troops would "quickly deal a heavy blow to Indian troops, and they will be all annihilated" if Delhi provoked a war.
India, too, had upped the ante, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh saying "there should be no doubt" about the country's resolve to protect its territorial integrity.
The statements reflected the reality on the ground: a hostile face-off between troops.
In June they fought a deadly clash in Ladakh's Galwan Valley with clubs and stones which left 20 Indian soldiers dead.
Both countries still have a huge deployment in the region where they have overlapping territorial claims - and overcoming their differences will not be easy.
Lest there be skepticals...
[NY Post] A Chinese virologist who has reportedly been in hiding for fear of her safety has stepped out into the public eye again to make the explosive claim that she has the scientific evidence to prove COVID-19 was man-made in a lab in China.
Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a scientist who says she did some of the earliest research into COVID-19 last year, made the comments Friday during an interview on British talk show "Loose Women."
When asked where the deadly virus that has killed more than 900,000 around the globe comes from, Yan — speaking via video chat from a secret location — replied, "It comes from the lab — the lab in Wuhan and the lab is controlled by China’s government."
She insisted that widespread reports that the virus originated last year from a wet market in Wuhan, China, are "a smokescreen."
"The first thing is the [meat] market in Wuhan ... is a smokescreen and this virus is not from nature," Yan claimed, explaining that she got "her intelligence from the CDC in China, from the local doctors."
The virologist has previously accused Beijing of lying about when it learned of the killer bug and engaging in an extensive cover-up of her work.
She had said that her former supervisors at the Hong Kong School of Public Health, a reference laboratory for the World Health Organization, silenced her when she sounded the alarm about human-to-human transmission in December last year.
In April, Yan reportedly fled Hong Kong and escaped to America to raise awareness about the pandemic.

[DAILYTIMES.PK] A female cyclist from Islamabad was allegedly sexually harassed on the road.
Samar Khan said that I always promoted cycling, promoted women’s sports, I tried to chase this man on a bicycle but he escaped.
While cycling in the capital of the country, Islamabad, Samar was fondled by an unknown person on a cycle of violence and he sped away. Despite trying to chase the man on her bicycle, she was unable to catch him.
She pointed out she doesn’t blame anyone, neither men nor the government for whatever happened to her.
However, Switzerland makes more than cheese... she went on to question her followers as to how they can ignore such incidents while witnessing them happen to a woman in public.
Khan, while mentioning that she does not blame anyone for the incident neither men neither the government, questioned her followers they ignore such incidents when they witness such incidents in public.
She said at the time she was harassed there were other people driving on the road but chose to ignore the incident. She asked whether the harassers or those involved in such incidents are privileged to do so.
After the achievement, she was quoted by GlacierHub as saying, "In order to change the mindsets of our people, I chose to cycle on glaciers." "I wanted people to realise the importance of what we have, how to preserve it, and what our duties are toward these majestic landmarks."
A spokesperson of the Islamabad Police said on Friday that the SHO and SP of the cop shoppe, who jurisdiction the incident happened, have contacted the cyclist. He also added that the police was investigating the incident with the help of the CCTV footage.

At just 19 feet long, the boat is actually "Boomin Beaver" security tug. Originally built to herd logs in waterways, the Navy boat is now an all-purpose vessel that can tow small ships and deploy floating security fences, ensuring that larger submarines, destroyers, and even aircraft carriers don’t receive unwanted visitors.

[gCaptain]An Iranian-flagged tanker transporting fuel is sailing round Africa’s Cape of Good Hope en route to the Atlantic Ocean, according to Refinitiv Eikon’s vessel tracking data.
The medium-size vessel Forest, carrying about 300,000 barrels of fuel loaded at Iran’s Bandar Abbas terminal, is bound for Venezuela, according to sources with knowledge of the shipment.
Gasoline scarcity in Venezuela has worsened again in recent days due to insufficient domestic production, leaving long lines of drivers waiting in front of stations and increasing the need for imported fuel.
Iran sent a first flotilla of five fuel tankers to Venezuela between May and June to help its political ally, which is also under U.S. sanctions. The vessels arrived in Venezuelan state-run PDVSA’s ports without interferences.
But a second group of four Liberia-flagged tankers owned by a Greek shipping group did not arrive at the South American nation in July as the fuel was seized by Washington under a court order. The fuel is expected to be auctioned as part of the court action in the United States.
Two other Iranian tankers of the same size that also loaded fuel in August, the Faxon and Fortune, have kept their transponders switched off since they set sail, the data showed, making it difficult for most tracking systems to detect their location.
Those two vessels are also bound for Venezuela, according to the sources, but the route they took is yet unknown.
Two separate sources said earlier this week that the three tankers communicated with the Suez Canal in early September to sail through the waterway, but they did not pass on the scheduled date. I have not read anything about seizing these tankers, so far.

all white people hate her and are out to oppress her...
Psychological projection and institutionalized hate both clearly illustrated.
I don't necessarily blame her. She's simply a product of our government's social engineering and egalitarian kak pumping. Tell a segment of society they've been fok'd over for 60 to 100 years and before you know it, they'll start believing it.

Back when there was an oilfield, I always made sure to take my nice super heavy duty laptop cable lock in my carryon. You could very easily make it a loop and pop it over a head or just use the lock end as a nasty whip.
#8
To be fair, causing trouble on a flight from Houston to Midland would take a serious amount of stupid. The plane's were full of about 85% roughnecks and other oilfield types, 10% office drones and 5% regular people. Starting something in that environment is basically suicide.

No mention how many people were worked to death mining the vibranium.
Digging away for something else and discover a vein, hit by the tool, and boom!
The ancestors were a warrior people judging by their ceremonies. Just digging away looking for metal for spear tips. They know they found something much harder than copper or bronze but it has to be mined by hand or else the miner's digging tool blows off 90% of the forearm.
So do you have your own warrior people dying while digging in the dirt? Not if history says anything about it. Go raid the coward farmer tribe, take their granary, and make them dig in the dirt.
[Medium] To my dear friends, loved ones, and organizing comrades,
I am so deeply sorry for the ways you are hurting right now because of me. You have expressed confusion, shock, betrayal, anger, and mistrust. All of those things are a consequence of how I have navigated our relationships and the spaces we share.
In trying to sort through parts of who I am, I've taken some very wrong turns. I never really owned up to them as they became apparent, nor recognized the trail of damage behind me. The harm I caused is a result of my lack of courage, a preference for being vague and contradictory, uncertain and insecure. I want to make amends for every ounce of heartbreak and betrayal.
I have let guesses about my ancestry become answers I wanted but couldn't prove. I have let people make assumptions when I should have corrected them.

Back in the 50s and 60s, the accusation was someone was 'passing'. That's when people wanted to be 'white' to improve their social economic standing. Today, its the reverse. That has got to tell you that you are not oppressed, but privileged. These people are seeking to improve their social and economic standing.

[RedState] It has been with sharp interest that we have followed the return of professional sports over the past month. Within a week, MLB, NBA, and the NHL all came back with scheduled games, leading to unexpected results. League officials and media experts all anticipated pent-up fan interest and the lack of live attendance at games would lead to higher-than-average ratings — except the opposite has proven out.
Each year Gallup surveys Americans on their favorability in regards to 25 major industries in the country. In its latest, released this week, we see some precipitous declines that should shake the constitutions of the fist-shaking pro athletes. Of all the sectors measured in the survey, professional sports suffered the biggest drop in support, falling all the way to 23rd on the list and settling barely above The Federal Government. The negative impressions by Americans now see sports underwater by double digits, with a 30%-40% favorable/unfavorable ratio.
Things are only more bleak in the metrics. This decline was not a number moved by one sector rebelling against the actions in athletics. In all categories measured ‐ gender, race, age, and politics ‐ pro sports saw sharp declines of support. Among all adults, favorability plunged -30%, and of particular alarm should be that wage earners in the 35-45 age group dropped -44%. Non-white Americans fell a sharp -35%. Even the most supportive sector ‐ Democrats ‐ fell, a lower -5%, but among those declaring to be Independent there was a -36% drop in approval; where that category harbored a positive impression last year at +26% they now sit with a -10% approval.

We never talk to polling people and I suspect a number of conservatives don’t as a matter of natural instinct, as I think many value our privacy far more than liberals. So polling data is always biased towards liberal choices by 5%or more even when they are honest or trying to be. So it’s even worse than this depicts in particular from a business perspective since the wealth demographic that matters to advertisers doesn’t live in their parents basement.

I love reading such stories. I can only hope that ratings go to zero and drag these woke advertisers down with them.
I believe things move in cycles, and eventually things will turn back around. But, for the time being, to see the National Felons League suffer is great. There were some hints even before COVID and BLM that we already at "Peak Football (NFL)" as viewership of the Super Bowl has dipped.

Avowed lefties are less likely to watch sportsball than most other demos, so this is still a significant drop, as it's almost certainly from a smaller "pot".
